The other day I was watching Persons of Interest (dumb as fuck show btw but middle school me probably wouldve been interested in it). The episode with Otto Sanchez. Obviously. But Seamus O'Reily's actor was also there in that episode and I had to laugh because you can pick literally any side character in Oz and go to their filmography and if the project came out after Oz started, there will be some kind of cast or crew connection. seeing people who have been brainwashed by the health and beauty industry gradually come to realizations like “actually maybe we shouldn’t be subjecting our skin to potentially toxic and damaging chemicals every single day” and “maybe stripping our bodies of their natural oils constantly is actually a bad thing” is very gratifying

#buying into the idea that we need to shampoo and condition every day and use abrasive soap on our bodies every day #and use 12 different facial cleansers with strong acids and bases in them as part of a ‘skincare routine’ #and things that clog your pores #but looking back it should’ve been obvious that that is not the way to go #my hair is still suffering the consequences of daily washes #it took forever for my body to start regularly producing oil again after i dried it out with harsh body soaps and scrubbing and acids and #various otc skincare regimens that had very little stock in health #like #that shit is not good for you #yeah you need to shower regularly but what that means depends on the individual #for me. i only need to shower every other day. sometimes only every 3 days #im fairly sedentary and my body just doesn’t need that kind of washing esp considering i’m prone to dry skin and dermatitis #and it just sucks that this one-size-fits-all approach to health and particularly beauty remains so prevalent today

#Spent a couple hours buying tiles and light fixtures today #Then realized I have to call the contractor ASAP tmrw bc the electrician is wiring stuff where I don't want it to be #I gotta schlep to the apartment tomorrow to make new measurements. MAAM #& the website is being weird rn & not giving the barcodes for coupons so they can’t be used in store n most ppl (normal) r like oh bummer #but this 1 woman today was trying to use a coupon from the app but she made me do all this weird stupid bullshit so it ended up not working #so she went to the website & it wasn’t working so I told her & she was like so what I do then. Living my best life eating the same food every single day here

#i'm not even joking #i mean i hate my life and everything rn #but i found one (1) vegan food at a supermarket and i eat it literally every single day ever since i first found it #found some vegetarian stuff as well which i sometimes also eat as well as cereal with my overpriced oat milk #but today i had a slice of pizza in addition to my beloved vegan wraps and i thought #'damn this could have been another vegan wrap :(' #best stuff honestly #(it's the sauce. i wish they sold that sauce just as a regular product #i would buy all of it and ship it to germany so i can eat it every single day even after i get back home #tomorrow i get 2 wraps again instead of just one and something else #i cannot have variety in my diet #i need to eat this until i get so sick of it i need to find another food i can eat every single day #anyway so yeah #I'm in a bad mood all the time and hate everything but you can't say i don't have something to look forward to everyday #(i fear the day they don't have them in stock anymore #I'll breakdown crying in the supermarket) #void screams
