 I had the greatest need to have a hug couple of months ago, I was all alone in my apartment and I couldn't meet my friends, siblings or parents at all because of the corona isolation. I felt so lonely and sad back then so I decided to do some sketching (I really had to put my feelings on paper) and voilà! 

I'm so happy with the result even though I almost lost my mind while colouring the flowers (I really dislike doing backgrounds, especially repetitive ones). So that's why it took so long to get this art piece done but I think it was definitely worth it! And I'm feeling a lot better now too : 3

Mugget paused, turning around and staring at Ted from a bit away, he was supposed to be doing something but forgot what- he was in a disguise, wearing a mask to hide the face he doesn't have a mouth and wearing a cloak to hide his lack of actual human arms. He stands there continuing to stare into Ted's soul, He could be mistaken as a young version of Nugget. @weird-googley-eye-thing

Ted glanced over after a few seconds. He looked away fairly calm at first, clearly thinking he was just Nugget, then he froze and did a double-take, frantically turning his body to Mugget. “Whaaa-” He blinked, shutting up.

How do other universes keep popping up in his life? This is like, the second or third one!

Ted sighed and walked over to Mugget, tilting his head as he knelt down on the ground in front of him. “Hi there... Um, nice to meet you?” He smiled, a bit anxious clearly and unsure about him, but not wanting to be rude.

What does a heart encrusted in rust see in a still and soundless world? Looking for someone who looks like they can say, "I'll see you again", I only end up repeating this over and over again.

Once you take notice, there's the silhouette of someone's back, crying all alone In a heartrending, lonesome place.

Just a stupid idea I decided to go through with after all.. I was drawing something else entirely but then I heard this song on my old anime playlist; my hand just slipped and I couldn’t stop myself from drawing this Madoka Magica parody (or tragedy perhaps in this case). I think I have just crossed that very subtle line of cringe when it comes to this art piece but I liked the final result quite a lot myself so I wanted to share it with you guys :’3

I just think that the lyrics of this song are so amazingly suitable with Lucas and Claus as well, and they all (Sayaka and Kyoko too) end up in pretty painful situations in the end of their character arcs. 

Most of the times I get my inspiration from music and especially the mood that the music brings around me. In this case though, it was the lyrics and the setting of that ending picture that led me into this project, I consciously copied the scene from the original picture pretty straightforwardly because I wanted to get the same aesthetics in to my art, however, I still wanted to bring my own style with it as well so it’s recognizable that the picture is done with my art pattern but the composition is copied from somewhere else on purpose, if that makes any sense. 

With this said, I don’t own any rights to the original art piece that can be found below or the song and its lyrics, I don’t get any kind of financial benefit from this, I just wanted to have some fun : ) . The original art is from the episode 9 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica series with Sayaka’s and Kyoko’s character song “And I’m home”.

“Claus & Lucas, the Sunflower Twins”

A slightly older sketch I decided to colour for the celebration of my mum’s birthday. She always loves the drawings I make despite her lack of knowledge about the series I usually draw fan art from. I haven’t drawn or coloured anything for her in ages so now I thought I definitely should, since I’ve had quite a lot free time due the current situation of the world. 

I still hate drawing backgrounds though, so I must apologise the boring, blurred mess I created this time.. Well, this was meant to be a bit more simple piece after all, so I guess it’s good enough.

(And I know that the stripes on Claus’ shirt are more blueish tinted, cyan coloured to be exact, but I just didn’t feel to correct the mistake.)

Ted nodded and began to swing the rope. It didn’t move very much, but after a little bit, it was enough so Buggs could reach the ledge. The catch? He’d have to let go of Ted to grab it.

The boy in red seemed fully aware of that though and didn’t stop. “Jump and grab it. I’ll follow, but we can’t do it at the same time. Just grab it and climb up, okay? You’ll be- Well- Safer then-”

Ted paused for a moment, then smiled again and nodded. “Oh, yeah...” He hummed, holding his hands together. “I wanted to see if you wanted to come over today! I got some new toys and monstermon cards from Felix- So I wanted to see if you’d play with me. Everyone else said no...” He explained, rubbing the back of his neck.

To be fair, that wasn’t a full lie- Inviting Nugget over right then was new, but he genuinely had come over to try to play with his friend.

Ted returned the smile brightly, before carefully starting to patch up the tears to his best ability. He was still young, so it wasn’t great... But it was still really good for a 5-year-old. “See? It’s okay...” He hummed.

“Hm... Do you like cats?” He questioned, tilting his head as he finished up taping the tears.

“I’m not mad, but.. Why?” He hesitantly questioned Kidd. “Why would you do that? I know you can reset- I know the days loop- But what if one day they suddenly stop? Why keep risking that?”

Nugget smiled at Ted from under his bed. He casually shrugged trying to hide the large hole he was halfway crawling out of from Ted’s floor. “ Nugget wanted to check on Ted, Nugget could sense he was uneasy. Nugget was going to enter from roof but Nugget didn’t wish to climb up Ted’s house again.” Nugget said acting like it was casual and normal for him to be there.

Ted blinked a few times, then frowned. “Why’s it always my house..? Last time you broke in, Father screamed at me for like a solid hour...” He complained a little, but was helping Nugget get out from under the bed.

“I guess it is nice to see you, though.. Felix said I can’t sleep with him tonight.” He mumbled.

Theo laughed a little, seeming a little nervous. He helped Ted to his feet, frowning. He noticed his messy hair and his pajamas, which only made his concern grow. “ I guess I do look kind of funny. I know I’m not that pretty, but... “

Theo shrugged. “ It’s red because I dyed it and thought it would look cool. “ Theo’s eyes widened a bit at that last part, but he sighed and let it go. �� ... You don’t have to listen to your folks forever. Now, speaking of your parents, do you know your parent’s phone numbers? Or their names? I want to get you home, kiddo. “

Ted tilted his head to the side. “What’s your job?” He clarified his question finally. “You look good. Your outfit is silly.” Another clarification. Though,, that wasn’t really any nicer.

“Parents? Ummm,,, [Father’s Name] and [Mother’s Name] Huxley... Dunno their phone numbers...” He shook his head. “Can’t go home right now anyways.... I don’t have a home here.”

Theo stared at Ted for a while before realeasing him and stepping back, his expression conflicted. He finally yelled and punched the wall next to Ted, his hand actually making a cracking noise, and he pulled his hand back.

“ I should be able to do this... “ he mumbled, mostly to himself. He then simply sat down in the grass, covering his face. “ But I can’t. I can’t hurt myself. I can’t hurt another me. “

Theo’s shoulders shook, and he was presumably crying, lips pressed tightly together.

Ted trembled as he was realized, automatically letting out a yelp when Theo punched the wall. After a few moments of listening and watching, he spoke up. 

“You’re.. You’re from the,, The universe where Felix,, Shoved us down the hole...? Right..? Is- Is that why you’re so angry?” He questioned, taking a breath. “Do you,, Do you wanna talk about it?”

Nugget hummed in response looking at his. 

“ Is there nugget flavor? Nugget doesn’t recognize this taste.” He says with a confused expression. He sipped on his straw with a smile. His doesn’t like it but he is thirsty.. so it will have to do. 

Ted frowned and shook his head. “Unfortunately, no... No nugget flavors.. At least I don’t think so. Sorry, Nugget...” He hummed quietly.

His head tipped to the side a little, and his eyes drooped, but he quickly made himself sit up again and rub his eyes to try waking himself more.
