I know you've probably been asked this a lot and I'm not trying to be pushy at all, but I was wondering if you were ever planning on continuing with The Deliverance of Change? It's one of my favorite Resident Evil Village fics and I'd love to see it completed one day.
My literal out loud response:
Tumblr media
But in all seriousness, I don’t mind you asking and I don’t think you’re being pushy. I’m sincerely happy that TDoC is one of your faves and I hope to continue it.
Chapter 13 hasn’t made progress unfortunately due to life getting in the way, writer’s block, and my hyperfixation change. Now that I think about it, this chapter is the one I’ve been going back and forth on because this is when I want things to pick up between Courier and Donna. I want the execution to be good and the build up to be worth it. I’ve just been stuck on the struggle bus.

Hi, how are you doing? 🙂❤ 12 for TDOC 😘😘😘😘 Thank you
#12: What do you like least about this fic?
This is such a good question wow, okay let me think…
Probably the airport scene, because I didn’t know how I would make all of the characters, you know are they going to be cold to each other? distant? or even enstranged? I kind of feel that you can sense my struggle in this particular scene 😂
Thank you bby for asking the question! I love revisiting the good old TDOC times because it always manages to make me smile! 💜

!!!!!!!
1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.
My typical fic? AU with a plot spun off a movie concept for multi-chapter fics - for example, my Miraculous Easy A!AU or the many Heathers AUs I've written/conceptualized. Oneshots/two-parters for me are most likely to be either songfics or 10+1 fics.
11. Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?
At the moment, it is more of a hobby, but it's definitely the hobby I'm most passionate about.
38. Talk about a review that made your day.
It's got to be the very first review I got, on my fic The Destiny Of Cosette. To set the scene, TDOC was one of the very first fics I posted on AO3 (along with Dazzlings) and I was pretty nervous, because up until that point the only person to review it had been my best friend. But I got a lovely comment on the first chapter from a Big Name Fan who was super excited I was writing a magic AU starring Cosette, and that was the comment that made me decide to keep writing it.
Thank you so much!!!!!!

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
I was in love with Dazai and every time saw his face I was just like “god damnit you hot fuck” but this was shorter
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos)
Uhhhhhhhhh on tumblr the BDSM Mafia!Dazai smut (surprise lmao) and from AO3 probably something SNK related since those have been on there the longest. Mixed maybe?
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
I think its the same one from my personal blog and idk I just like the manga aesthetic
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
on tumblr yeah. well like..rebloggers. but i 1000% stalk the tags on all my reblogs.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
Siren of the Misty Seas by @yokohamastraydogs, a few recently good Chuuya smut fics on AO3 (i can only quench my own thirst for so long lmao), there was this one general fic on AO3 that revolved around Dazai’s POV but I haven’t been on in so long I can’t think of the name. Other than that the only other series I followed was written by wifey ( @dirtylevi ) for SNK and she hasn’t updated in ten millions years (:
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
none. i rarely use A03 tbh other than non-insert fics which I don’t have much of atm.
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
Dazai staying in the mafia lmao. I can’t help it I just love him in those situations.
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
fffffffffffffffffffffff idk on AO3 tbh but the OG blog had 2k and this one is at about 1500 rn.
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Yes?? ish?? Smut related things are weird because I write smut for other people to enjoy but idk where everyone else’s kinks stop because I’m a kinkier mother fucker and not everyone is??
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
DIALOGUE. WTF IS THAT
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
pfdjkaslfjdklas;a i write no ships (which is why i rarely use A03) but platonic my favorites to write are chuuaku & odazai. I’d like to explore Kouyou and Chuuya’s relationship at some point.
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
sO MANY. I have an entire series of all my SNK one-shots just grouped together, and then my now four BSD series. & two unfinished snk long-fics................................oops
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
Only the BSD series. All of my old SNK fics (which was a fucking lot) are on my graveyard of a DA profile.
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
Head. I write them out on the notebook Kazoo gave me when I have the time or else they clog my brain and I get annoyed.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Nah
16. How did you discover AO3?
fuck if i know
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
Hell nah lmao
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
idk i call my followers kinky little fucks when im reading the tags???
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Yes, a lot of them do still.
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
Practice is the only way you’ll get better.
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
Uhhhhhhh I have this problem of having one specific scene of a story and its usually a middle part and then i’m obsessed with it but the beginning? the end?? the fuck are those?
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
Uh on one of my old smut fics for SNK someone said something about a lot of whores being on A03 like ??? what does that even mean?? the few times throughout the years ive only been slut-shamed on my smut lmao. and once about Aku shoving it in dry that started this whole salty debate about BDSM and the ignorance on tumblr was astounding. 23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
SMUT IS HARD. There are only so many words for “dick”. I’m a visual writer too so sensory details are my wheelhouse, anything else im like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, especially with motions in smut like 98% of my life is trying to imagine position switching in my head and then forming words to explain it.
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
in my head? a lot. in real life? None because I have no god damn time.
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
ask my graveyard of unfinished series.
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Writing at all is the only goal I have and even that’s not realistic.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
Hell yea boiiii
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
Unsettled [Levi] solely because the difference in my writing was like..ridiculous compared to my old style. I loved how it turned out. Like Smoke [Mafia!Dazai] has that same dark and kind of hazy feel to it and I love that series. That one where I fucked up Armin in a Zombie AU That one chuuaku fic that I don’t remember the name of.  That one where I fucked up Dazai and all the tags were turmoil and I loved it.
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
I hate the organization of TDOC. It’s on my list of re-writes tbh. Same with the BDSM centered mafia!dazai smut..thing..like it kind of ended up being this weird series-but-not and now I want to just...make it a collective thing because I have control issues and its bothering me.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Hopefully fucking writing and not running a fucking Aeropostale and wanting to stab my eyes out lmao
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
imagining it in my head
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
VERBS
33. Why do you write? Escape. Expression. Thirst tagging these thots: @bungou-stray-dogs-indulgences @yokohamastraydogs @scarletwrittenblack @nenufair

Hey I love your fanfic the disappearance of clementine and wanted to know if you'd ever update again. I've never seen such a well written fanfic and it made me really happy to read
I really, really appreciate this! College has been a bitch lately and I have neglected TDOC for my Bioshock fic, but I'm definitely updating The Disappearance of Clementine soon! Chapter 17 is in the works right now.

The Deliverance of Change Sneak Peek
“A gift for you, my Lady,” you said, proffering the box to the Lord.
Donna took the box and let her hands brush over yours as she replied, “Your presence will always be the best gift.”
A/N: Not me lying in bed writing this chapter and reading what I had written months ago and getting giddy over Donna.

Apparently, the only way I can make progress through writer’s block is to continue writing on my phone while lying in bed.

Question, if that’s okay. You know how when courier gave those letters to Donna from her past customers; what if our courier got so nervous and afraid to tell Donna about their feelings so they instead hand her a love letter confessing their feelings? Little idea scenario I thought of after rereading the chapter about the customer’s letters. 👉🏼👈🏼
Answer, no that's not okay.
Kidding of course. But BRUH! That is so cute, and adorable, and sweet, and so on brand for Courier to do something like that.
Just imagine how flustered Courier would be handing it to Donna. Courier stutters as she tells Donna that she doesn't have to open it now and it's "not that important." Part of her wants to leave as soon as the letter is in Donna's hands so she can to avoid the sting of rejection and the awkwardness after that will surely ruin their friendship. The other part of her stays because she's either too petrified or because she truly wants to and NEEDS to know Donna's answer.
Then Donna opens the letter. Courier is conflicted about Donna's veil because she needs to see her reaction, but doesn't know if that will just make everything better or worse. Maybe she wrote too much. Maybe too little? How far did Donna get? Was Donna re-reading it? Did she stop reading out of disgust or pleasant surprise?
"Actually, this was a mistake-" Courier reaches out to grab the letter, but Donna pulls it away.
Despite Donna's veil, Courier feels their eyes connect and a mere half a second later, the Lord holds Courier's hand. Both were trembling, yet hold each other steady with a gentle squeeze that is shy, cautious, and happy.
The way Donna gently pulls Courier closer is enough to know the feelings are shared.

As an Ao3 author, I have a crush on everyone who comments on my fic
Short comments, long comments, all caps key smashing, and lets not forget kudos, bookmarks because all of you are just as important . . . let's all just get married.

Hiya, I've never commented on your fic but I just wanted to let you know I'm really enjoying TDoC! Been on a Donna fic spree the past couple weeks and yours was one of the ones I came across that stuck with me. I've only just come back to Tumblr after a long break, but I finished reading it the other night and I couldn't resist dropping a message to gush about it!
I know reader stories can be tricky to write because the protag is technically a self insert, but I think you've done a great job with balancing! The Courier feels like a distinct personality, but she also feels familiar to me.
Also love how you're handling Donna's development. As a reader, I really appreciate that you've put so much consideration and time into research, especially with regards to mental illness. You've clearly put a lot of thought and care into Donna's portrayal, and I think it's so lovely!
Each chapter is just the right amount of fluff, angst, and tension to keep me hooked. The dynamic between the Dimitrescu sisters and The Courier is also hilarious. I've been glued to my phone and sneaking chapters on my lunch break all week like little digital snacks. (Its gotten to the point where I'm pretty sure the people I work with think I have a secret lover, but the only reason I'm not denying it is because I don't know how to tell them that her name is The Deliverance of Change.)
Also, those wee posters you made? Mega cute. I'm no artist or graphic designer so idk if my opinion counts for much but I think they're very *chef's kiss*
Anyway I've waffled quite a bit, but basically my point was your fic has been a thrill to read thus far. Thanks for publishing it. It's been a real uplifter for me, especially on stressful days. No rush for the next chapter, but I'm eager to see what you do next! Hope you're doing well in general and life is treating you fairly :)
Hello! Big oops because this was asked back in August. Thanks for being patient for my reply even though I'm sure you forgot by now 😅
I'm glad that you're enjoying TDoC!! I appreciate you (and everyone else) even if you don't comment.
TDoC is my first x Reader story so it was definitely unusual to be writing in that style. The hard part was trying not to be too self-inserty, but I'm glad that you think I did a good job balancing it.
Writing Donna's development has been fun! There's so many things I can't wait to share and so many things that I was suuper excited to finally be able to read people's reactions when certain events came about.
I love that you've been reading TDoC like "digital snacks" AND that your coworkers might suspect a secret lover. I wonder what would happen if I posted a spicy oneshot . . .
I'd love to create more art like the posters but I'm currently lazy and uninspired . . .
Thank you again for sharing how much you've been enjoying TDoC! Sharing TDoC with so many people has brought great people into my life. It also really encouraged me to tap back into my personal projects which unfortunately have been scarce in recent years, so people's comments like yours brings me joy and gets me excited to continue.
Hope you've been doing well, highskellig! 🖤
