ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE
You were the kind of person to not exactly be poor but it’s not like you were rich, either.
You had enough money to make a living, and what you had left you spent on your travels.
You had already been to various different places and countries such as India, Italy or Africa, and therefore owned many souvenirs.
Such as leather bracelets, exotic spices, or rings
Telling people that you dropped out of school (on purpose of course) to see the world and learn new things usually didn’t encounter much enthusiasm.
But your journeys and experiences had made you very mature and wise for your age, may people believe what they want.
While you resided in Beacon Hills you started working at the Sinema, standing at the bar and pouring drinks for people.
Wearing a shirt because you weren’t that type of guy
You would see many people going in and leaving the club, opening conversations with some of them, but none of them really spiked your interest much.
Until one night a skinny guy with black hair and a flannel shirt showed up at the bar, leaning against the counter and pretending to be there just for the fun of it.
You slid a finished drink over to the customer who ordered it and watched the black-haired boy as he observed the crowd with squinted eyes, stretching his neck now and then to get a clear look over the moving bodies.
You mirrored his position against the counter and spoke next to him: “Hey, what’s your name?”
Spy-guy’s head snapped around in alert and he subconsciously raised an eyebrow when he looked you up and down.
“Why do you want to know?”
You grinned at him. “Can’t I ask a pretty boy’s name?”
He just stared at you, mouth slightly agape and eyes open wide, completely caught off guard.
But it only took him a second until he shook his surprise off, and answered as bluntly as before: “Stiles Stilinski.”
You frowned. Stilinski? “Stilinski?” You heard that name before. “I’ve heard that name before.”
Stiles on the other hand, wouldn’t have thought you would be so nosy. Still, he didn’t want to be rude, so he just murmured a quick “Dad’s the sheriff” before turning his gaze to the crowd again.
You nodded. But more to yourself, considering that Stiles wasn’t facing you anymore. You followed his stare, but as much as you tried, you weren’t able to make out anyone outstanding that he could be looking at.
“Who are you looking for?”
“Why do you think I’m looking for someone?”
Wow Stiles, you’re great at dodging that guy’s questions
“Because you’ve searched the crowd like three times with your eyes and never even thought about dancing or taking a drink. Also, you’re standing, if you were waiting for someone, you would be sitting. ”
“You are aware that this is totally creepy, right?”
You just laughed slightly while tossing the dish towel over your shoulder and leaning at the bar with the plan of your hands.
“I’m just observant.”
Of course, Stiles being Stiles, he wouldn't be able to let such a challenge slide. He wanted to cut your ego a little bit, so he just pointed at a random guy sitting on the other end of the bar. He was wearily swirling the icecubes in his empty glass around with the little umbrella, and on his left shoulder were the words 'Born Rebels' tattoed.
"So what can you tell me about him, Mister 'I am observant'?"
You looked the direction Stiles pointed and shrugged.
"His girlfriend just cheated and broke up with him."
Stiles pursed his lips in disbelief. "You wanna tell me you got that all by just looking at his posture?"
That was when you smirked again. A confident smirk that was. "I said I am observant, not Professor X. I just heard their argument before."
So, naturally, after that and given your entire attitude, Stiles would be absolutely infuriated with your presence and was just happy to finally have you off his back when he left the Sinema that night, even though neither he nor Scott had found what they had been looking for.
And so, also naturally, when his best friend mentioned you as one of the Dread Doctor's targets, he couldn't help but groan out in annoyance.
But that's also how Stiles found out your name. He had never asked it that night at the club, and a part of him felt bad about that.
"Y/N Y/L/N," he read. Usual name, Stiles thought. But then again, probably any name would seem ordinary in comparison to Mieczyslaw Stilinski.
One other thing that Stiles learned that irritated him about you, was your calmed and nonchalant behavior. For example when he and Liam payed you a visit to inform you about your potential - but very likely - supernatural problem.
"Aren't you a little bit very much terrified?" Stiles spat. The three of you were standing in the yet empty nightclub, Stiles had his arms crossed in exasperation.
You simply shrugged. "I don't get terrified," you said. "Maybe nervous, but not terrified."
Stiles scoffed and rolled his eyes. Liam just stood there and looked back and forth between the two of you.
So, yes, Stiles had found another unlikeable thing about you.
But due to the whole chimera thing and you being in immediate danger, he had to inevitably spend more time with you.
And at some point, he would realize that he liked you. But he liked you different.
He would still act sarcastic and annoyed towards you, because he didn't know why he suddenly felt this way or what he felt even.
You shook Stiles's perfect life to the core and turned it absolutely around.
You were funny, smart, and at the same time somewhat mysterious and cool.
And that irritated Stiles. Or more the way his mind, body and especially heart reacted to it.
At some point, Stiles would start to question things about himself. Primary things. Like where his attraction went for example.
But of course, Stiles being Stiles, he would pack it as a joke because he wouldn't know how else to handle all of it.
"Mason, am I attractive?"
"What kind of question is that?"
"Just tell me, am I attractive to gay guys?"
And eventually, when it was Stiles' turn to help you keep an eye out for the Dread Doctors ...
"You know, you didn't have to follow me into my living room," you said, but a subtle smile was playing around your lips. Stiles was scratching the back of his neck.
"Yeah but, you know - the Dread Doctors could always kidnap you while I am outside, so I should probably stay with you. Or even better - right next to you. Like directly next to you. You know, um, for your security."
... an accident kiss would happen. It would be quick and neither of you would have really had time to think about it before it happened, but Stiles would hurriedly mutter an excuse and rush off after, leaving you sitting between the cushions of your living room sofa and your heart racing.
You stepped out onto the balcony and lit up a cigarette, thoughts racing but with no idea what to do. You really liked Stiles and feared that you messed everything up now.
Your free hand ruffled through your hair, frustrated, and, for the first time since Stiles had met you, absolutely terrified.
After that, Stiles would avoid you at all costs for a while.
One of his friends Scott, Liam or Hayden would cover his shifts and keep you company, but it just wasn't quite the same.
After the second day, you decided to confront him.
"If you didn't like it, Stiles, that's fine. I would be lying saying that it wouldn't hurt, but I would get over it. But at least talk to me about it. Because unlike you, I can't pretend like nothing ever happened."
Stiles would not be able to concentrate at school anymore because he would realize that he had grown to like you more than a friend, but it was confusing for him. Confusing and scary.
And then one late night, he showed up at your house unannounced, seeing you sitting on your porch, a cigarette in your mouth.
You looked up at him in slight confusion, and Stiles nervously buried his foot in the ground as he spoke.
“I’m sorry about how I acted. I guess I just didn’t really know how to feel. I never thought about me being - different, you know. I had to figure some things out before talking about what happened.”
You stayed silent and when Stiles positioned himself next to you on the porch, you didn’t complain.
“So have you figured things out?” You asked in a low tone, lifting your head to seek eye contact with him.
Stiles slowly nodded. “Yeah,” he answered under his breath, “Yeah, I guess you could say that.”
You smirked and both of you slowly leaned in before your lips finally, slowly met with each other.
Stiles’ stomach twisted and turned around at the feeling of your lips moving against his, but it was a good feeling, because it was you he was kissing, and that was enough to make him want to experience it forever.
When you pulled apart, Stiles was biting his bottom lip in an attempt to hold back a grin.
“One more thing though.”
“Yeah?”
“You should stop smoking or else I won’t kiss you because it tastes just gross.”
You let out a short and quiet laugh, throwing the cigarette to the ground and lighting it out with your foot. Then you cupped Stiles’ cheek with your right hand and pulled him closer, only to whisper “I think I can live with that thing,” before you would kiss again, warming each other in the cold of the night.

At the risk of getting yelled at: I don't think Stiles trusted Theo to keep his secret. Both Scott and Stiles develop patterns of avoiding telling people things think they will react badly to. Starting in s3 &4, when Scott thinks they are about to be caught, will rush to tell the person to better control their reaction. Stiles by contrast, continues avoiding (ie Malia on the list) not I would argue b/c he thinks it won't be found out, but to push off the inevitable bad for as long as possible.
It's funny: your opening statement underlines one of the problems with online discussion. While playing with the difference between denotation and connotation is an accepted rhetorical practice, it only works if both the speaker and the audience understand that it is an overlay the truth, not the truth itself, and for some reason -- possibly anonymity or the lack of supplementary sensory information -- this often gets lost online. The truth is, right now, I can't actually yell at you, and you know that. What you meant and what I know you meant is that you are concerned I will respond to your question with an aggressive condemnation of you as a person. Don't worry. While I don't agree with some of your statements, you didn't call me names. Thus, we can talk like adults. Shall we?
At the base, I think that fandom has a problem with the production's belief that Stiles trusted Theo is because fandom confuses "trust" with "like." According to Webster, to trust is "to rely upon or place confidence in someone or something." You can trust the UPS to deliver the mail safely without liking the UPS. You can like your cat a great deal but you can't trust him to not chew on power cords.
Stiles never liked Theo, that's obvious. But did Stiles "rely upon or place confidence" in Theo? Absolutely. While Stiles didn't tell Scott about Theo killing Josh because Theo blackmailed him, Theo never told Stiles not to tell Scott about Donovan. In fact, Theo -- in a brilliant bit of reverse psychology -- encouraged Stiles that it might be all right for Scott to know about Donovan in Lies of Omission (5x09). But Stiles did have enough trust in Theo to tell him about his emotions concerning Donovan's death in Strange Frequencies (5x07). He trusted Theo enough to share what Lydia told him about Parrish's dream. He trusted that Theo wouldn't use those things against him. And, above all, Stiles trusted Theo in Status Asthmaticus (5x10) when Theo said "I'll tell you where your dad is, if you promise not to help Scott." Stiles didn't try to help Scott because he had trust that Theo would keep his word.
You say that Stiles thought Scott would react badly to him having killed Donovan in self-defense. Why would Stiles think that? Scott helped and cared for Derek even though Derek was a manipulative brutal thug in Seasons 1 and 2. Scott mistakenly mourned for Derek in Frayed (3x05) even after Derek endangered Scott's life by crashing his peace summit with Deucalion. Scott (along with Derek) gave Deucalion a chance for redemption. Stiles became angry with Scott for having hope for Peter -- Peter! -- a few episodes before Donovan. After a possessed Stiles tortured him with a sword, Scott focused on helping him in Season 3B. Where does Stiles get the idea that Scott would react badly?
And, by the way, when Scott did learn about Donovan (a twisted version of events) and even after Stiles screamed at him for not being human and blamed Scott for Stiles lying to him, all Scott said was, essentially, "give me space and go talk to your dad." This is why my position is -- regardless of the cause, and there are several good reasons for Stiles' behavior, such as RSD and residual trauma from both Claudia and the nogitsune -- that Stiles is at fault. Stiles may like Scott, but he doesn't trust Scott, and he doesn't trust Scott because he doesn't like himself.
And I have to take issue with this: "Starting in s3 &4, when Scott thinks they are about to be caught, will rush to tell the person to better control their reaction." When did this happen? I'm trying to think of an instance where Scott told someone the truth in order to 'control their reaction.' I can't think of one, and the concept sounds like the "Tyrant" idea that gets put about in fandom circles, without actual evidence. Scott does conceal information in order to spare people unnecessary pain -- such as Allison, Kira, and Young Derek -- and sometimes it's good and sometimes it's very bad. Now, telling people the uncomfortable truth is part of the show's theme, but that's the pack's motto, not just Scott's: "It's always better when they know." But your phrasing suggests manipulation.
So you're right, Stiles didn't trust Theo to keep the secret about Donovan. He trusted Theo to understand him in a way that Scott wouldn't. He trusted Theo to cooperate with the pack by providing Theo with information. Above all, he trusted Theo to keep his word about his father if he kept his word about not helping Scott. Because, and this is my final piece of evidence -- wouldn't Stiles, regarded by the fandom as the consummate planner, have a plan to deal with him? Only he didn't. He simply did what Theo told him to do. And while that doesn't require Stiles to like Theo, it does require him to trust Theo.
(Again, there were plenty of reasons for Stiles to act this way, but I'm marking this anti stiles stilinski for reasons of courtesy, not a condemnation of the character.)

I think I’ve realised why a lot of the fandom don’t really like or understand Scott.
It took rewatching the show so many times for me to see that the show doesn’t really like to focus on what motivate Scott’s decisions as they do for others.
You are aware of Stiles insecurities in season 5a because you see him waking up from nightmares, you hear him talk about how the nogitsune made him feel inherently evil and guilty. You also know that during the late stages of his mother’s dementia, she blamed him for her condition. This makes him scared to tell the truth about Donovan’s death.
You understand Theo’s fear in season 6 because you saw him go through a hell loop in which he was repeatedly killed brutally and violently for a crime he was manipulated into doing (because yes, it was revealed that he was manipulated). You also feel bad for him because of his homelessness and loneliness.
But Scott’s anger towards Derek for biting teenagers was hardly explained at all.
Scott wanting to constantly save people that he doesn’t even know is only implied for a few seconds.
In season 4, Scott, by Kira’s sword, experienced a scenario in which no matter what he did, he ended up killing Liam. What was that? I didn’t even understand it until a parallel experience (Theo’s) was created that I was like “Ah. Scott created his own personal circle of hell to punish himself for doing something that he didn’t even do.”
This was such a monumental aspect to add depth to his character but it was just never mentioned again.
And my guess as to why this is his biggest fear?
Because a year ago he was transformed into an angry thing with claws, fangs and a taste for blood. He was controlled to want to kill the people he loved and almost did it. Then after he learned control, he was constantly told that it was now in his nature to kill and him NOT WANTING PEOPLE DEAD was regarded as naive.
And not even a season later after this hellscape, his biggest fear is realised. He is forcibly stripped from his control, again.
While I’m here I want to address the statement I made earlier about what motivates him to save people at his own expense.
Do you remember after the pack read the book about dread doctors and they started unlocking memories? At first I’ll admit I thought Scott’s was so stupid, “The rest of the pack remembered such gruesome things and Scott is just remembering his dog die?? What the hell??”
But then I read an explanation online on what the memory was. Apparently his dog died saving his life.
Now I know why Scott works at the clinic, now I know why he is studying so hard to be a vet, now I know why he constantly pushed himself to stop others from getting hurt (crossing the mountain ash barrier, trying to fight the dread doctors even though he could barely breathe).
All of these decisions had such a pure motive that I had to find out by literally searching “Scott memory explanation season 5 teen wolf”
