HEHEHEHE OKAY FIRST OF ALL I LITERALLY WROTE THIS THIS MORNING:

which u can totally tell was Early cuz Bepo’s sayin “the captain” instead of just “captain” lmao.

BUT OKAY additional brain thoughts are

law gives Bepo his “me and straw hat are in an alliance” talk and 20 minutes later shachi and penguin have shaken the info out of him

(if u are curious [im gonna put my comics in timeline order eventually in a pinned post] the order is 1 2 3 but tbh the Bepo is exempt was for the giggle not the hc u know what I mean)

Shachi immediately is like y’all cannot doubt me and wants to go make law’s life a living hell. Bepo begs him not to cuz when has law ever liked someone?? you’re gonna scare him!! and shachi is convinced this is exactly why it’s so fuckin funny?? peng sides with Bepo and they spend some amount of time wrasslin shachi from making a single comment to law

till Bepo mentions it accidentally in conversation between the 4 of them and law is mortified and peng and shach make a big and obvious show of pretending this is news to try and help Bepo save face but Alas

anyway it’s open season after that and law and shachi are fighting like they did as teenagers and Bepo and penguin think it’s very endearing

Jacobi's hiding out on the porch, toying with an unlit cigarette he's stolen from Eiffel's - Doug's - supply. Contrarily to the other man, he's never developed a dependence to nicotine, but the act of it - the feeling of it in his hand, the taste of it in his mouth - tends to relax him all the same.

"Jacobi."

Jacobi closes his eyes. Inhales, lets out a shaky breath. What do you want, he thinks but does not say out loud.

"Jacobi," Kepler rumbles, and if the accent is right, if the imperiousness and hidden strings are indeed his own, the edge of plea isn't something Jacobi's ever really heard from him.

"I wanted to tell you -" No. "I've always thought I'd have the time to say -" No. This is wrong. Jacobi doesn't open his eyes, and he can almost feel Kepler's presence behind him, the solid wall of his body.

A pause.

Then:

"I hope you know that I'm proud of you." Jacobi swallows around the knot in his throat and exhales through his nose, jaw tense and clenched. "You've always been so loyal to me, much more than you've ever been to Goddard itself." Jacobi shivers; a breath of air caresses the back oh his sweat-dampened neck. "My right-hand man." Cool fingers, ghosting along his shoulder. "My perfect soldier."

And there's almost tenderness here, an emotion so foreign to the concept of Kepler himself that Jacobi's eyes snap open. He whirls around, his fingers crushing the delicate tube of paper as he balls up his hands into fists.

And then - nothing. He's alone on the porch of this little dilapidated farm in the middle of Bumfuck Nowhere, Arizona; if he pays attention and directs his good ear towards the house, he can hear Lovelace and Minkowski quietly chatting. He's alone and he's just hallucinated his dead boss praising him.

Jacobi sniffs. Maxwell would have had a field day.

Crushing the remainder of the cigarette under his heel, he decides to go back inside the house. There are too many ghosts outside.

What’s your favorite art medium?

Ahhhh love this Q!!!!! I love SO many mediums

My favourite is digital art for it's variety and accessibility. As someone with chronic fatigue I really wanted something that was quick/easy to set up and put away whenever I wanted to draw. Recently I've been experimenting with a gouache brush which has been really fun

I used to love using acrylic paints and pencils when I was younger but had to stop when my health got worse, but I just...never picked it back up again I guess? haha

I occasionally sew, I prefer working with cotton or fleece, and I love knitting with a nice chunky acrylic yarn. Honourable mentions for card making and ceramic painting, though I don't get to do them often, I do love them

I would LOVE to learn woodwork and bookbinding in the future ❤️
