There's a comment on youtube which said along the lines, 'puen read tun's diary, he must've known about tun's unrequited love for tess, so by saying puen is gonna live tun's life to the fullest could also mean that he is indirectly fulfilling tun's wishes of been with tess too' how come this never crossed mind! Even though puentalay didn't explicitly state to others in that universe they had feelings for each other, pretty sure their friendgroups understood the signs. So to think when Tun comes back and find out that the people in their bodies had loved each other and were happy he must've felt a sort of happiness. Because even though tesstun's situationship related to the first switch between universes, their comeback had very little to do with each other. They switched back solely because of puentalay and them realising they are each other's portkeys. Thoughts monica?
MY THOUGHTS ARE THAT THIS SHOW NEEDS TO STOP BEING SO GOOD IT HAS LITERALLY RUINED ME FOR ANY OTHER SERIES LIKE HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MOVE ON WHEN NOTHING EVEN COMES CLOSE TO IT AND INSTEAD OF GETTING TIRED OF REWATCHING IT I KEEP FINDING NEW DETAILS THAT MAKE ME GENUINELY FERAL AND IN DESPERATE NEED TO CHAIN MYSELF TO A FENCE LIKE A WEREWOLF DURING A FULL MOON ✋😭
honestly i’ve never thought about puen fulfilling tun’s wish of being with tess specifically (WHICH. SCREAMING BTW), but i did think a lot about puen and talay trying to live tun’s and tess’ life to the fullest and being able to achieve all of their dreams while doing so. it’s hard to say if this was necessary to make them switch back, because im convinced that ultimately that’s due to puen and talay learning the lesson the universe thought they needed, but it’s also not a coincidence that they were given those specific bodies to inhabit, so i feel like they wouldn’t have gotten to that lesson without living those lives to the best of their abilities
idk how to explain this in a quick and coherent way because i have way too many opinions about portkeys and fate and choices and identity, but. like, everyone agrees that talay and tess switching back to their respective universe is all thanks to talay’s efforts (because tess literally did NOTHING), but i’ve seen a lot of people wondering if puen and tun switching back is due to one or the other. to me it’s clearly due to puen, not only because it happens at the culmination of his character’s journey (accepting himself and being finally ready to tell his name to talay), but also because tun, while obviously not ruining puen’s life LIKE SOMEONE ELSE DID WITH TALAY’S [SIDE EYES TESS], did not make it better either. when he comes back, puen is still alone. when he goes back, tun has achieved his dream of becoming a famous screenwriter and is in a relationship with tess. by using a stratagem like the travelling between universe, i think the show actually did a great job in showing the different attitudes someone may have towards life, not just your own, but other people’s too: you can live selfishly (tess), you can just survive (tun), or you can live life as best as you can (puen and talay). this is also why i get very annoyed when people watch vice versa and say stuff like ‘the concept was interesting but why they were making a movie rather than explore the fantasy part’, because THE FANTASY PART IS NOT THE POINT!!!!!!!! THE POINT IS WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO DO WITH THE LIFE AND THE TIME YOU’RE GIVEN!!!!!!!!! THAT’S THE MESSAGE OF THE SHOW AND THE GENERAL LESSON THEY ALL HAD TO LEARN BUT THAT ONLY PUEN AND TALAY REALLY UNDERSTOOD!!!!!!!!!!
anyway. not sure where i was going with this or if this makes sense but yeah i have way too many thoughts about this and all of them boils down to VICE VERSA SERIES OF ALL TIME PUEN AND TALAY CHARACTERS OF ALL TIME PUENTALAY RELATIONSHIP OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this isn't a question but I needed to say it anyway bc I'll vibrate myself apart if I don't
I was reading back through FTS (for like the third time) and I got to, I think it was one of the earlier parts of hippocampus, and suddenly the art and the dialogue just clicked in a way that I'd never noticed before
AND I THINK I KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND I OOOOOUGH
NOT GOING TO SAY ANYTHING HERE BC I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL PEOPLE BUT OOOOOOUUUUGH YOU'RE INSANE AND BRILLIANT AND EVIL
Anyway sorry I just needed to scream about that for a hot second, you're an amazing artist and I do not regret subbing on patron. Keep on trucking!
Can you send me another ask explaining what you think is happening, I would like to see (for completely non-evil reasons)

Tell me about your ocs
Yea ofc ofc :))
There's:
Nakamori Shirako, 12 year old gremlin with a katana running around Meian era Japan in search of adventure (and candy and tea)
And Shira’s yakuza affiliated mom and writer dad. and her sisters: in order of oldest to youngest: a shamisen player, a miko (shrine maiden), a chado apprentice and refined version of Shira.
Akemi, the mysterious masked figure who awaits Shira in the forests often. Guardian of the forest shrine??
Delphi Mortimer the sick, frail girl being haunted in her hospital room and struggling with being heard and seen. Withdrawn and philosophical, has many thoughts and opinions about people, life and random little things. Hates hates hates the ghosts in her room.
Electra Volta the cyborg/clone girl who runs around with an electric bug repellent box and bug zapper who has a great disdain if bugs
Harper knows his way around guitar strings and piano wires a little too well. May or may not know how to murder someone with a plectrum. In between jobs, a musician of sorts.
I feel like there’s some random side oc’s but these are the main ones I can think of right now :)

Joel ties Tess's shoes when she's too pregnant to do it anymore.
Tess brings Joel's lunch to him at the work site when he forgets it on the kitchen counter (this one can work with either Jackson or Modern AU)
i did these as two separate lil fics!
first: double knots

Do you think Eddie would have found out about all the supernatural adventures if he hadn't been Osirian and Patricia had been there instead? And how would the third season go in that case?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you’re asking about the Osirian!Patricia AU, right? If not, I’m so sorry for the rest of this answer 😂
So if everything was the exactly same through S1/S2 (i.e. the adults thought Joy was the Chosen One but it was actually Nina, the Cup got built, Sibuna gets cursed by Senkhara, etc.), except for the fact that Patricia was actually the Osirian, it stands to reason that the kids probably wouldn’t know that right away. And the same way Victor doesn’t actually have confirmation Nina is the Paragon until the S2 finale, the adults might suspect there’s something a little wacky about Patricia, but they probs would not know for sure what that wackiness actually was.
I think maybe in this AU because Patricia would still be interacting with Rufus as much as she did in S1 that he might tell her or give her reason to suspect there’s something up with her, but if let’s say he didn’t and she just spent the entirety of S1 having strangely intense nightmares and hallucinations that she and everyone else chalk up to being really upset over Joy’s disappearance. This just means that all of S2 is pretty much the same as canon apart from the occasional “funny feeling.” (If I were going to write this AU out as a story, tho, she’d probably know she was the Osirian by the end of S1, but for the sake of argument, let’s just assume this discovery comes at the same place as the canon timeline)
So here’s Eddie, right? He’s just a normal kid whose dad was a poopy head and left him and his mom to be in a cult. Casual business, all that. He and Patricia are still gonna hit it off, naturally, because nothing has really changed in their dynamic apart from a slight role reversal that isn’t even really relevant to them yet at the point where they meet, have their banter, fall for each other, etc.. The only difference might be that Patricia is a little more ✨inexplicably one-track-minded✨ about the mystery… so that could put some strain on their relationship. But other than that business as usual for Peddie.
Here’s where it gets tricky. In the finale, I don’t see any reason as to why Fabian, Alfie, and Patricia wouldn’t still go to the barn to rescue Jerome, and therefore Eddie would follow them bc he wanted to see what Patricia was hiding from him. He’d probably still get knocked in the head by Rufus, and Jerome would still give him the gem in a panic before getting dragged away, and Patricia and Alfie would still discover a concussed Eddie and bring him home, where she’d finally have to explain to Eddie who Rufus is/whats going on.
The divergence of the plot would come the moment Patricia gets her hands on that gem. She starts hearing voices, realizes Nina is about to do some dumb shit, starts rambling to Eddie that the Chosen One needs her, and she runs out the door. I don’t see why Eddie wouldn’t follow her, except for maybe if he’s really concussed. But I feel like he’d pull through because he’d obviously be really worried for his girlfriend, especially after what just happened.
So the final showdown happens, except it’s Patricia banishing Senkhara with the crown. So obviously if Eddie was there, he’d have a pretty good idea of the sort of supernatural shenanigans that went down.
In Season 3, however, all bets are off. Patricia would not be a shithead like Eddie, and she would obviously tell Fabian that Nina wasn’t coming back to Anubis House like a normal person, so that random Fabian vs Eddie brawl craziness doesn’t happen. Peddie probably still breaks up over the summer, but maybe not idk… let’s just say they did. Okay so Patricia has the vision of KT and the key, so when she turns up, Eddie is not being a total freak toward her, rather Patricia is, but it’s not as weird because Sibuna as a whole is being freaks about it.
KT gets sussed out as an ally rather than a threat pretty quickly, and Sibuna adopts her pretty quickly. Meanwhile, Eddie is aware that Sibuna exists, but isn’t taken into the club because his ex is now leading it 💀. So I’m thinking maybe he’s aware they’re up to something and does some of his own digging when his dad gets weird about the family tree project. Eventually, though, I think he’d approach Patricia and the others and offer his help. Cue romantic violins as the same harebrained scheme of KT to push her two friends back together ensues. Also in this AU she and Patricia are def besties bc there’s no wack misunderstandings and they’re still the only girls in Sibuna.
Now it’s also messy bc Patricia would be both Descended and the Osirian, but… she’s just OP I guess idk. Anyway, the ceremony works (womp womp) and S3b begins. I think Eddie would be in Sibuna atp, but maybe more in an unofficial way? Idk. But I think he’d probably get taken as a Sinner bc the only reason he escaped the crypt is because his vision of Patricia getting manhandled radicalized him. So he’s probs caught in a similar way to how he would have been if he’d not made it out of the crypt, and now he’s got all he needs to target the Osirian.
But don’t worry, she’s got plot armor!! Idk, anon it’s not super fleshed out 😂
Anyway, to give you the short answer to your question: yes I think Eddie would find out about the mystery in this AU, he just wouldn’t be as much of a key player in the story

Tess and Maria are the type that are continually playing a game of chess. Literally. There's a board in Maria's office that they both take turns making moves on anytime one passes it.
LITERALLY GASPED AUDIBLY AT THIS LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE
reminds me a lot of the main couple from “the glory” if anyone’s watched that show, which like. they are SO mariatess coded. AND BRO A THE GLORY X TLOU MARIATESS AU??? im imagining them as like a longtime spy-duo doing espionage against their enemies to get revenge on people responsible for hurting/targetting their sons (who are JUST FINE, thank u, and literally besties living it up in a private undisclosed safe location) back when they were babies. it turns into a years-long undercover mission against an organization called the fireflies, in which they enlist the help of mercenaries tommy and joel miller
OR like a western-type vibe, something like the brilliance @hypnotisedfireflies is cooking up with The Legend of Charro??? cowgirl murder-wives maria and tess on the run from their lost loves, deputy and sheriff miller?????
OR
in jackson, maria and tess not only have the shared chessboard in maria’s office, but ALSO shared journals that they keep in their respective homes. they’re both constantly at eachother’s places to nap between work, but are both so busy that they rarely end up in the same place to talk at the same time throughout the week. so they leave each other notes in these shared journals to check in and gossip. they both journaled a lot in college and keep their own individual ones too, so it feels like a really familiar source of comfort for them both 🫶🏾
everything’s in them from “today is SHIT” to “left half a joint for u in ur undie drawer, godspeed” “FUCKING THANK YOU THERESA” to “if josie speaks one word at this fucking council meeting, im gonna fucking walk out. one fucking word” to “joels been having nightmares this week. can you go out for a hike with him and try to get him to talk?” “yeah, sure, of course” to “seth’s extra pissy today, im gonna fucking deck him” “okay bet, do it where i can watch” to “if tommy sings ‘im gonna be’ one more fucking time IM gonna walk him 500 miles off a fucking cliff. control ur husband” to “ellie started her period btw, she doesn’t wanna talk about it but keep an eye out” to “hey need a fucking break. wanna hide in the basement tomorrow night for a toke” “me too. fuck yeah i do”
one day joel and tommy find it, read one page, and immediately put that shit the fuck down. they do not wish to die by the hands of their wives

Top Gun - Maverick/Rooster - beim Training auf der Matte steigt dem anderen der Schweißgeruch seines Partners in die Nase, vielleicht tropft sogar Schweiß auf ihn und verdammt, neuer Kink entdeckt
Mav has him in a chokehold and Rooster grunts, trying to loosen Mav's grip but failing miserably - they've been at this for a couple of minutes now which is enough, more than enough, for both of them to be dripping with sweat, and his hands keep slipping off Mav's skin.
"Wanna tap out?" Mav asks playfully and that just fuels Rooster's resistance, makes him spit a out breathless "you wish, old man!", before once more trying to wriggle his head out of the chokehold … only to have his face pressed right into Mav's armpit.
He gasps for air and suddenly it's everywhere: the feel and taste and smell of sweat, of Mav, deep and musky and just a little dirty, but it's … not bad, oh fuck, it's anything but, going by his suddenly very interested cock. Rooster bucks his hips and moans, a pathetic, little sound that he hopes is muffled by Mav's skin but most definitely isn't, because Mav immediately lets go of him.
"You okay?" he asks, concern in his voice that turns into realisation, when he spots the tent in Rooster's shorts, and his voice goes soft, low, not at all disapproving, when he adds: "I guess you are."

Jeroy def does skin/hair care together. Like countless spa days camped out in the bathroom
oh absolutely!! jerome seems like the kind who is very particular abt his hair and we also know joy regularly has spa nights by herself gjdjdkd this is definitely something they share once they start dating, partially to the chagrin of and partially to the relief of the people they have to share rooms/bathrooms with lmao
especially after the season 3 finale? patricia walks into the other room hoping to finally talk and finds jerome sprawled on the floor getting his toenails painted by joy, who is also inexplicably dying her hair purple (it washes out, luckily). she complains to eddie about it and he immediately sprints away from her and up the stairs; by the time she finds him he’s got an avocado mask on
send jeroy thoughts

HI SORRY I just got to the part in AASOAF, Rain’s Hand, where Axtapor talks about shedding and now I can’t stop laughing because
What if
Mariel woke up one morning and just found Axtapor’s face on the ground. Like the time one of my geckos gave me a heart attack (pic for reference)
Tumblr media
~ @tabswrites
HAHAHAHHAHAHA OMG THE WAY I SCREAMED WHEN I READ THIS also thank you so much for the photographic evidence of said heart attack inducing moment it would have scared the pants off me too hahaha
the image of her bumbling her way to the bathroom in the morning just to see his "face" on the ground poor thing she'd be so scared hahahaha. i think it would be one of the moments where she absolutely thinks he's died or something only to find him in the tub all peely, desperately hiding himself from her behind a towel or something. the sheer amount of screaming would probably give their neighbors the impression that someone had been murdered. cops would be called. it would be a whole thing LOL. and our boy is vain fr so he'd have a Howl sized meltdown after that trying to recover his dignity. he would just avoid talking about that morning from then on.

would your ocs go on a trip to the beach? how they are when they feel sick?
Ooh! This is a fun ask :)
Beach
• Shirako would go to the beach if and only if she’s allowed to swim and go fishing. Her siblings would go to relax and chill.
•Delphi wants nothing more than to feel the sand one more time beneath her toes and be washed by the waves. So if she gets out of the hospital, she’d go there first
•Electra wants to go, but it doesn’t mix well with her electricity related powers and her mechanical parts, so she observes from a distance
•Harper goes for the beach volleyball and beachside music playing shenanigans
Them when sick
•Shirako is a gremlin and even viruses and germs fear her. She does not get sick.
•Delphi is sick and in the hospital. She gets really melancholic and thinks too much about things cuz she has nothing else to do, hates it so she gets sardonic but still remains fairly well mannered
•Electra gets sick rarely, since she’s half artificial. But when she does she just shuts herself down completely til she gets better
•Harper is stubborn, refuses to acknowledge he’s sick. Does everything as usual until he face-plants from a fever and someone has to forcibly put him on bed rest while he whines and try’s to escape

🍋 What’s your favorite spicier trope to write?
🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?
🍋 What’s your favorite spicier trope to write?
My hands down favorite troupe (which is evident if you read my fic haha) is breeding kink. It's gotten...downright out of hand since I started writing for Tess/Joel, and I have a tendency to include it in...everything I write.
🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?
I have two! One is Tess sliding into bed with Joel and being the big spoon. I don't think y'all get how much that scene rewired my brain and sent me into a SPIRAL over these two and eventually led to my full-blown breakdown of shipping Tess/Joel. The other is adding Tess to the Winter section, and having her with Ellie during the David scenario. I explored it a lot during whumptober this year and just absolutely love it. Obviously I just love Tess surviving and journeying with Joel and Ellie because # to me that is a family that never should have been split apart, but something in particular about Tess in Winter is so compelling I just love exploring it.

Is denby going to be redeemed in your story?
I can promise you that this is not a Caroline Denby redemption story. My goal is that you will understand her as a character better by viewing her through the lens of a character (Bee) who has taken the brunt of all of Caroline’s manipulation tactics, that we see glimpses of in canon, for her whole life. And how that affects the way a person views the world.
Denby is a character that has always fascinated me because she is so scarily realistic. Not the demon stuff obvi but just the way she acts and the choices she makes. While I wanted to explore what a Jacob/Matthijs dynamic would look like in HOA, I knew it wouldn’t be as charitable bc Denby is a textbook narcissist, so any child she had any part in ‘raising’ would be subjected to fierce lovebombing, gaslighting, etc.. But Denby is more complex than even that and I hope that shows as we move forward with Drawing Dead

for something to gush about, what classics do you enjoy? and for a harder question, what do you think about classics that intertwine Christian themes/morals and the author's own societal/political beliefs (personally thinking of les miserables by victor hugo since it's what I'm reading right now but feel free to respond regarding any that you have thoughts about)?
Ohh so many. Tolstoy, Edith Wharton, and the Brontës are particular favorites, though I could certainly go on. For classics that intertwine Christianity with social and political beliefs: allow me to discuss Villette.
Villette is my favorite Brontë novel, even more than some of the better known works. In broad strokes: the rather slippery narrator Lucy Snowe travels to French-speaking Belgium to work as a governess in the wake of some mysterious personal tragedy. She doesn't speak a word of French and she's a Protestant among Catholics. In Belgium, she struggles with loneliness, works to define herself in relation to those around her, and ultimately makes a friend.
The Catholic/Protestant issue in Villette is fascinating. The Brontës' father was a reverend, and all three sisters were emphatically Protestant, so of course Lucy is a fiercely Protestant character. She begins the book rather prejudiced against the Catholics that surround her, but over time she builds a bond with a man who's a vehement Catholic. They argue extensively and neither yields, but by the end of the book it's a friendly arguing.
Yet very interestingly, Protestantism is positioned rather intentionally alongside alone-ness in Villette. Lucy is both determinedly independent and deeply lonely. Her Protestant faith informs her independence directly, and but it also isolates her both practically and ideologically. Not only is Lucy isolated as a British Protestant among Belgian Catholics--she walks several miles to attend church each week despite living and working in a Catholic school--she's also isolated as one whose faith is highly individual among people who have religious institutions to support them. When Lucy is in the depths of depression, for example, she goes to a Catholic church and takes confession simply in order to have another person to speak to and pray with her. Catholicism offers belonging: "The Protestant was to turn Papist, not so much in fear of the heretic's hell, as on account of the comfort, the indulgence, the tenderness the Holy Church offered."
Yet it's her Protestantism from which Lucy draws her independence and her courage--her "terrible, proud, earnest" Protestantism, as M. Paul says. Protestantism, in Villette, is associated with individual conscience and conviction. It's the source of Lucy's total self-reliance, the innate dignity with which she carries herself, her courage-- the steel in Lucy’s spine was put there by the nature of her faith. Yet it isolates her. Lucy declares, in one of my favorite passages in literature, that there are worse things to be than alone. It's true. Lucy is alone, yet she's secure in her convictions and has "a voice that can make itself heard."
Yet! The institutional strength and belonging inherent in having one monolithic church are still presented as a good and beautiful thing, and this quality only becomes clearer as the book unfolds. It's a really interesting, nuanced take on the weaknesses and virtues of both branches of the church from someone who is obviously very Protestant. And of course, it leads into a really beautiful friendship between a Protestant and a Catholic.
I could go on, but I'll leave you there. Villette is a beautiful, fascinating book.
