On the topic of the bracelet, there is something else I would like to point out.

Not only was it his Mother's bracelet(which in itself is a huge thing). That bracelet was made by the Shaman as a promise to his mother that her child would be the ruler of their people

And he gave that bracelet to Shuri. And he didn't just hand it to her, no, he placed the bracelet around her wrist as gently and as ceremonial as the Shaman did to his mother.

Moreover, while he told her that the quote "Shaman was convincing" and only after putting on the bracelet he stated that "It was made with the plant that saved Talocan". From this I'm guessing he didn't tell her exactly how the Shaman convinced his mother.

So I'm guessing Shuri didn't know that he just kinda made her the Queen of Talocan

Here's a YouTube video of someone unboxing the Mike McCartney Early Liverpool book. You can see the Paul photo wedged between other photos that are known to be taken in 1962 (like the Gene Vincent Cavern Club photos i.e.). So I think the date is right.

About the bracelet

Since I’ve seen so many posts related to this topic, I thought about doing it. I really liked the idea of John giving the bracelet to Paul, it seemed so romantic for me 😭.

So here it is!

What did the bracelet mean to Paul?

Possession. Passion - I think Paul kept it because he thought that this bracelet was a symbol of who he really was. It was an expression of himself, and also, his way to “defend” the relationship that he had with this person, to show them that he really cared. I think probably he thought that this person didn’t think the same of him when he wore it, but every time he wore it, he made sure that it was for them.

Who gave this bracelet to Paul (any information about this person - I’m using they-them pronouns here)

The person that gave the bracelet to Paul contemplated a long ago about the possibility of give him this present. This person was looking for an opportunity to “confirm” the feelings, and they were “confirmed”. But they couldn’t give the bracelet right away because, they needed to have more money. I think when they gave the bracelet to Paul, they were very shy (😢) and very scared, even when they were happy that they finally gave it, it was like they run immediately. Were they a little impulsive? Yes. And even they thought they screwed it up, but in their heads they couldn’t stop thinking about if this was a lie, If Paul was just playing with them. For them, this was a “solution” to have Paul near them, even when they felt it was very sick what they were thinking, they thought that this “solution” was actually satisfactory.

Was John the person who gave Paul the bracelet?

I asked this three times. The three times, the answer was positive.

Yes. He reflected about his relationship with Paul, and wanted to be sure about it. At the beginning it seems that he didn’t feel that good because probably Paul didn’t wear it immediately??? 😭 The other stuff is the same as the other answers, but in this reading I can see how much fear he had 😢.
