I’m curious about how you found Heartstopper! Like what’s your Heartstopper origin story?

I first read Heartstopper in Jan 2021. The third volume had just won the Goodreads reader’s choice award for best graphic novel, and I was wanting to read more queer stories and more graphic novels so I thought perfect! Two birds with one stone!

I ended up LOVING it way more than I thought I would, and my timing was perfect because right around the time I got caught up with the most recent updates online, THE SHOW GOT GREEN LIT!!! I remember literally screaming and throwing my phone across the room and dancing with joy.

Flash forward to now and I’ve got brainrot from reading it 20ish times and watching it 5 times, but I have no plans of stopping anytime soon.

#I think I’m going to start asking questions more on here because I want to interact with everyone more #the responses to that post I did asking how many times people had watched Heartstopper MADE MY DAY #also I feel so lucky to have Instagram stalked the cast from the day they were announced #if you only started following them after the show you missed some golden content #does anyone remember the kitconnorswagchallenge where everyone was bullying him by sharing pictures of themselves wearing sunglasses? #or Christmastime when joe had covid and kept doing Instagram q and a’s and complaining about how bored he was #or whenever they went to their first awards show together (I swear it was like February) #and they were taking pictures like Bash and Kit were Joe’s bodyguards 😂 #or just generally the ease they all had joining in with the fandom in the comments sections of everything #it was just a golden era where the cast felt like a secret #Heartstopper #heartstopper tv

Hellcheer may be the first ship I’ve ever sailed where I am fully, wholeheartedly, unequivocally in love with the relationship itself. Like, don’t get me wrong, Eddie and Chrissy are both hot pieces of ass and absolute cinnamon rolls. But most shipping I’ve done before I’ve been more or less attracted to or infatuated with one character, would happily read fave/OC content along with a ship or two if I liked the chemistry. 

Hellcheer I am 1000% invested in Eddie and Chrissy as a couple. I really, truly struggle to imagine either one of them without the other. The fucking poetry of how their backstory’s and personalities are complimentary, the brightness he brings out in her, the softness she brings out in him. 

Every other match I try to make in my head ends up feeling hollow in comparison.
