Hey, I adore your artstyle mate, I loveeee all the vivid colors and the fact that most of it lacks lines?? You doing the hard stuff, but it paying off 💜
can I ask, as I’d like to get into comic making, how long does it take you to finish a a single panel?
Hi!! thank you very much!! drawing lineart is incredibly frustrating to me so im very glad i was able to make the jump to mostly lineless artwork, tho im very much still at the beginning to learn how to do it xD
to answer your question, i .. cant say really, it depends on what is on the panel, and i always jump around when working on a page, i draw half of the very last panel, then jump to another, maybe i see something i want to change right away and work on the third besides i ... dont know anything about panel composition, i think in movies so i play it and try to pause it on a frame that could work as a panel, whichs is probably why it goes alot slower than normal comics, idk how much to skip gndfjknvgfdjk
im by no means an expert in making comics, you kinda have to find your own way of what works for you, i have done many in the past but all failed, i gave up before getting even one chapter done many times
general advice i can give you is, most importantly, dont wait, i know its daunting to start, but you have to start, even if you dont think you are good enough, you will always change and improve anyway, better start now or you might do it never, and remember, when a page is done its done, i know how tempting it is to go back and redo it, but if you start with that it will only lead to an endless cycle of remaking it over and over
a cause that made me abandon my old projects, was partly lack of support/recognition, but mostly that i was forcing myself to things that werent fun, like one i made in black and white bc i thought you had to do it bc color takes too long, but i live for colors, so it drained the fun out of it immediately
the only "rules" i have set for myself is that its understandable, the flow of the action doesnt flip around too much, speech bubbles are aligned in a way that guides you (of course im not perfect at that either and always learn); i dont jump between pages, i jump between working on panels, but i dont start another page before the previous is at least acceptable, otherwise id get ahead of myself and get impatient, just wanting to skip ahead and neglect older pages; and that i only work on a panel/page as long as it has acceptable quality and is fun to draw, when i notice im getting bored or frustrated i finish it quickly as best as i can and move on, otherwise it might drag the entire project down, which is why each panel or page in 'Destiny' varies alot in quality
i can barely look at the first pages .. or even at the last one i made for that matter, but its also fascinating, how much my art changes within even one update which takes me about a month for 4 pages, since i have set my 'fun' rules at least, it used to take much longer (i wish i was faster, and i could be, but i have a job, and have to look out for my health, both physically and mentally, so i take whatever time i need and draw however much i feel like drawing, no rushing)
my progress so far is that i write a rough script, what happens, what dialog, where it ends, and so on, it doesnt have to sound good, god knows mine are shitty xD but its a good guideline, even if rough! then i make a rough draft, basic panel layout, dialog (it always changes fro mthe script, again its more liek a guideline than a rule ;) ) then i start with actually drawing the first page, my art and way of .. art and writing changes incredibly fast (idk if its for the better lol) so .. by that point i redraw the rough draft version of the page if i see how it works better, rewrite dialog too, and even cut stuff from the rough draft
im not done with the first chapter (im slow af lol), but wrote the script for the second one when my hand was injured and i couldnt draw for a month, once im done with this chapter i will draw the rough draft for ch2, then write the script for ch3 then go and draw ch2 fully, at least thats the plan the more time passes the more i know what the next chapters are gonna be, tho i know the important points long before; right now i have the entirety of the first arc sepeareted into chapters, and the end of it all too, but between there its still a lil blurry and im adjusting everytime i think of soemthing better
anyway, sorry for that long ass ramble, its late and i thoguht about this ask bc im trying to get my want to draw back (not feeling well rn nkfdnkd) so i randomly decided to answer it .. probably in the most unhelpful way possible, alot of stuff noone aksed for lol
anyway, sorry, and goodnight uwu

I’m sorry, I’m not great at close up/slight dynamic poses! At least the shading looks nice...
Anywayyyy, here’s that ship picture I briefly mentioned before! This is suppose to be when Julie, Breach and Francis realized they were in love with their future partner. All of them had different circumstances when it hit them.
Also! I should probally mention that my redraws are also part of my own rewrite/reboot/remake or whatever you wanna call of it each show. I have a made up canon.
-Benlie-
It had been a while since Julie met Ben, went on a couple of dates, learned his secret, adopted an alien pet and watch Ben have fourteen baby chills. A strange life Julie got caught up in, but she is somewhat glad to be part of the galaxy world in someways.
As for this relationship, is had been a quiet day where the two finally got a full date, without any chaos. It was also the time she got to see parts of Ben that he rarely displayed. His softer and cute goofball side, rather than overly confident hero pushed around.
Yes, his bravery to go out and protect or save people is a big bonus to her, but seeing this calmer side made her realize just how complicated this boy was underneath, along with being comfortable enough to show her it.
Her cute goof.
Notes:
A very up and down relationship for a while, but they finally  settled and become very much official sometime when they were seventeen. Somewhat thanks to Vilgax actually...
The pair have this cute little couple comfort thing where they’ll rest foreheads together. It always calms Ben, allowing him at least a moment to relax and think, thankful to have someone close as he does so.
While Ben has had plenty of other girls flirt with them, there once was a event where a prince alien was hitting on Julie. He was quick to put the prince in his place.
Ben likes to serenade her with his guitar skills~
Julie (With Ship as her battle suit) once beat the crap out of Vilgax when he was tormenting Ben.
It’ll take quite sometime before Julie’s dad will approve of Ben. He knows the kid’s not bad, he’s just protective of his little girl, especially with the kind of life he lives.
When his arm is replaced by the Omnitrix, she was one of the key people who helped him adjust to living with it, sometime using Ship to relieve the stress it put on him in the early days of having it.
She is one of the few people who can keep him in line.
When they get back together, Ben was absolutely nervous he would screw it up again, coming off a sweeter, yet more anxious at times. But she is patient, along with admitting she also caused problems in the past as well.
Many openly tell Ben they approve of her. His parents, grandparents, Gwen, Kevin, hell, even Azmuth.
They like having morning jogs together.
-Brex-
Breach had gotten herself caught up in...dangerous and dark matters. She was so scared, unsure how to process anything. So, she went to the only person she trusted at the time, Rex.
The boy agreed to help, especially after seeing how distressed she was. Unfortunately, he ended up getting caught in the danger and the pair got stuck in a fight with some foes. Breach was wary, confused, hurting and panicked, her emotions uncontrollable. The fight, loud noises, people who hurt her, she couldn’t take it and snapped, her portals going crazy while she fled to the world of stillness. She had planned to stay there, away from all that scared and hurt her. But...Rex showed up, having chased after her.
Despite being battered, bruised and bleeding, this boy went to hell and back to reach out to her, telling her he wasn’t giving up on her, that he cares and wants to help, no matter what.
She had never had someone so determined to help her. Most would cast her aside when they saw the ugly side of her. But in that moment, she realized something. Rex did care, he was her friend and he was real...and that she loved him for it.
Notes:
Their favorite movie to watch together is ‘Book Of Life’. The colours, characters and story always makes them happy. They even dressed up as La Muerte and Xibalba on Halloween.
When they first started dating, Breach was rather insecure. It was common knowledge that Rex was handsome with a charming personality, resulting in plenty of people flirting with him. It often made her wonder why he picked her out of all the other girls.
Rex loves their height difference, because he will often nuzzle the top of her head or hang his arms over her shoulders from behind.
They both support each other on the fact they both know they are powerful EVOs that can be destructive, promising that whenever either of them snaps, the other will do what they can to reach them.
When they’re older and live together, Breach actually uses her powers to move Rex’s old family home closer to Providence for them to live in.
Rex has found a way to comfort her is by connecting their nanites. It keeps her grounded to reality and makes her feel closer to him.
When they start becoming friends, she likes to ask him all kinds of questions. Some serious, some not. He’s always happy to answer and explain how the world works to her.
You disrespect his girl, he won’t be afraid to disrespect you. (That or smack you.)
Her relationship towards Six and Holiday is somewhat iffy...but it gets there.
-Zancis-
It had been a a few month since Francis crashed with the Saturdays, hiding from his people. But over time, he started to feel...strange? He didn’t know what was wrong with him, so he began to invetiage.
Could he be sick? No, that wasn’t it, because it only happened whenever he was around Zak. They would still sass each other, but he knows it’s not old grudges jabbing away at him. Maybe his people put a code in his brain?...Nope, not that.
He seems a good while trying to figure out what is wrong, when one day it finally hit him. Somehow, when walking into the kitchen one morning, seeing a dead tired Zak tying up his messing hair in the sunlight, was what made him realizes he had feeling for the fellow teen....it was also then he realized how screwed he was.
Notes:
It took a good while for Francis to gain the approval of each Saturday member. They were all so protective of their youngest member. Drew somewhat scared him the most.
His confession for Zak had...not been romantic in the slightess. Instead, he shouted out his feelings for him after a tense situation and argument.
Zak is a very cuddly and snuggly guy, always wanting some kind of psychical contact with others. Poor Francis wasn’t use to kind of affection, along with how needy his boyfriend could get.
Zak is 100% the alpha of the relationship. He can be scary when he wants to be.
When they started dating, Francis did endly research on relationships (Both romantic and friendship), partner behavior and even about dragon, given Zak is partly one.
They still and always will love to tease and sass each other, making it somewhat a running joke to roast one another.
When Zak became aware of his feelings, he offer to start dating and see where it went. But it would take him a bit before he would start falling for his green boy.
As much as they tease each other, Zak is really the only person Francis can go to about his deep rooted issues. He had been learning a lot about family since joining the Saturdays.
Wadi is a hard core shipper of the two.
Francis swears he nearly had a heart attack after seeing what ‘The Hammerthrow’ was...

a quick rewrite of a drabble i reblogged yesterday. gonna see if u can rewrite stuff like you can redraw things
No one can find out about this, The Caretaker thought to himself. Trying to make the use of both his hands, he fumbled out a small blue pill with one and holding a plastic cup of orange juice with the other.
He had to remind himself about this over and over again. He wasn’t a liar, lying was a bad habit to get into when raising children, so covering things up involved the same expert precision that doing a two-handed pill-pop with one.
Tilting his head back, he downed the birth control with a slosh of orange juice. He was alone in the kitchen. No one was going to find out about this.
In this Christian family? you’d be out of a job before you can scream ‘In the name of God.’
Before he can put up the case, he hears someone outside the kitchen. He has to decide his course of action based on who was coming in. Maybe it was too late to shove it into his pocket, so he just bats it to the side and hopes.
“You’re up early.”
Jam- Dr. Corenthal. he’s your boss, dammit, and a doctor. give him that credit.
The father of the family, the man who hired him, the man going over to the coffee maker to see if he can chase away the all-nighter Caretaker saw him doing. He radiates warmth and soft mornings.
The cup feels cheap, now. Of course it does. It’s a colorful, plastic cup meant for children. Dr. Corenthal is holding a ceramic, white mug.
Why the hell are you getting self-conscious over a cup? why now?
“it’s not early, dr. corenthal. i think you may’ve slept in.”
He laughs at the jab. Moments like these make the Caretaker happy that his boss isn’t as pristine and serious as the mugs he drinks out of.
“I must’ve. Maryanne was nowhere in the house when I looked.”
Maryanne. His “wife”. Caretaker hated the simmering jealousy under his skin hearing her name. A reaction when she spoke was fitting, sure, but her name was such a little thing.
She was the mother of the family. You’re the odd one out here.
“she went for groceries.” The lightness of the Caretaker’s earlier comment was gone.
“She didn’t take any of the children with her?”
The inflection of Dr. Corenthal’s tone wasn’t questioning. He knew the answer. They both did, hearing the four children play in the living room.
He was surprised.
Not of his wife, Caretaker knew. Not because he thought she was bad. He didn’t think the man could speak aloud any hatred of her. He was just surprised because both he and the Caretaker like to make shopping a family outing.
“nah, but they can entertain themselves for a little while. ‘m glad, honestly. bunch of kids close in age, in the same family, ‘s like a playgroup that came included,” Caretaker muses between sips of his orange juice.
Dr. Corenthal steps closer, up against the counter adjacent from Caretaker. Even if the younger man was blocking some of the light from the window, just enough came through to caress the older. Caretaker was glad they were talking, because he would have no other way to defend his stare.
“I agree. They’ve been perfect from day one. Maryanne always wanted a big family, I’m glad I was able to fill that want of hers. She always wanted to be a mother.”
The Fairmount four were far from perfect, but they were perfect enough to the two men...and the wife of one of them.
“maybe she should start acting more like one to them, then.”
The sharpness in the Caretaker’s snark surprised both of them. He felt his face get hot from the whiplash, drinking the little amount of orange juice left in an attempt to shut himself up.
This is the day you’re going to get fired. A mouth like that, with your birth control in broad daylight? Inevitable.
“You... are probably right.”
The sigh underlying Dr. Corenthal’s response should’ve been expected.
“She loves them, though, she must. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder if they were her actual flesh and blood she might be different towards them.” He mutters the last part, looking away towards his hands.
That’s... an odd way to phrase that.
“why didn’t she just have her own kids, then? if it would’ve made things better?”
“She’s infertile.”
There isn’t loss in Dr. Corenthal’s voice. Simply fact.
“ah,” The Caretaker doesn’t know why he asked that, but the answer he got wasn’t surprising. He couldn’t find any tampons in the house, nor pads, nor anything. He just assumed Maryanne was old enough that she couldn’t do it anymore, not that she never could do it at all.
“well then, she’d be massively ticked off if she found out i was able to have kids n just choose not to.”
Goddammit, goddammit, goddammit, you JUST told yourself not to tell. and you just did! you’re going to put on the street. kiss this job goodbye.
“You do?” He asks, shocked, and then looks over to what Caretaker can only assume is his pill holder. “...You do.”
“yea,” Another hope that the anxiety doesn’t come through his voice.
“Is that why you disappear for a whole day sometimes?”
He notices?
This is one of those times that Caretaker finds himself in awe at the doctor. Instead of accosting him, he inquires. Even as an old man, a father, he keeps his curiosity with him. Caretaker can’t help but think back to when he dipped out of church service to go look at the graveyard. Maryanne yelled at him. Dr. Corenthal just asked why he went there instead.
He felt listened to.
“yea. i get on one of those shit greyhouds and ride down, n walk to the nearest planned parenthood. it’s a couple hours forward and back. i only do it on days i know the kids won’t need me for nothin’.”
“It sounds like a long trip. I could drive you down one day if you’d like, it would be much faster.”
As appealing as that sounds, the freshly recalled memory of how loud and angry his boss’ wife can get was bold in his mine like revived watercolor. The Caretaker shakes his head.
“’s fine. it’s my own fault for doin’ something so extra,” He chews on his lip and looks over at Dr. Corenthal, bathed in sunlight, again.
“please don’t tell your wife.”
“I would never dream of it, David.”

A New Story
This is a story about two artists - one is an older man who was famous for his beautiful art before he sadly lost the ability to create, and the other is a young man who is still trying to find his balance and style in art and in life, all while dealing with difficult issues at home at the same time.
This is an idea I’ve had in my head for a while now. I’ve got some other plot points set up for it, but I’ve never had he courage to begin writing it until today. Today, we honor the life and ambitions of our dear Monty Oum by starting new or finishing projects that we’ve been wanting to work on for a long time.
Enjoy!
Of the many places that could be used for inspiration, 15-year-old Daniel chose the one place he disliked the most. For unconscious reasons more or less, or so he told himself. It was not the worst place to go when struck with the unquellable urge to create, but there was only one aspect of it that he found himself feeling disdainful towards.
In particular, it was that man.
From the very first time he arrived at the park, the man was there. As though he blended in perfectly with the scenery, the tall, brown-haired man was always present, just as the misaligned benches, the small fountain in the center, and the unevenly cut grass were. Sure, other people showed up in the park as well - ideally, it was a great place to relax and take in the fresh air, a great place to go when troubles at home were wearing you down.
But the man was still there.
Was he dangerous? No, Daniel didn’t seem to think so. Rather, he was overly critical, and gave his unwelcomed input at any given opportunity.
“Shift the perspective slightly to the left. It will look much better.”
“You call that a cloud? I could tell you how to properly draw one, if you want.”
“That character’s eyes are too close together. You… do know about proportions, right?”
Daniel, unsurprisingly, began to question his own sanity. It wasn't as though he took a trip to the park every day, but the man was always there no matter what. It was baffling, to say the least. His curiosity got the better of him one day, and he finally asked a question that had been plaguing him for the last 2 or 3 visits they’d had.
“Are you homeless or something?”
Daniel revelled in the fact that he’d finally been able to render the annoyance silent, shocked even. But the man regained his composure much too quickly for Daniel’s liking and straightened his lapels.
“Actually, I was ready to ask you the same thing.”
Daniel had half a mind to make him eat his words, and he could feel himself flushing, to his mortification.
“Y-you’ve got some nerve! I come here to draw in peace, but you waltz over like you own the place and start criticizing my art! Every. Single. Time! Who do you think you are?!” The man took a step back and bowed politely.
“Travis Storming, at your service. And you are?” he offered a pleasant grin.
“...Daniel Mata.”
Despite the clipped response, Travis’s smile never faltered, and he straightened to full height before extending his left hand.
“A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Mata.”
Daniel stared at the offer of peace warily before hesitantly reaching out with his own left hand, taking it. He was caught off-guard when Travis gave a firm shake, nearly rattling his whole body. He finally was able to wrench his hand out of the bizarre handshake, but he couldn’t stop his eyes from drifting downwards to Travis's right hand - somewhat fresh scars still visible despite his long sleeves - which hung limply by his side. He considered questioning the man’s motives, but his mouth moved faster than his brain could formulate a proper question.
“So what are you, an art critic then?”
His new companion mused the question with a slight hum. He cocked his hip and held his chin with his left forefinger and thumb, thinking the question over pensively. Daniel, meanwhile, continued staring silently, and was ready to pack up his belongings and leave before Travis finally answered.
“Nope!”
“That’s… not the response  I was expecting, given our… ‘history’,” he replied.
“Well, I say no, but I guess I could be considered something of a critic. I was an artist myself, not too long ago!” He grinned and placed his hands on his hips. For whom Daniel speculated to be somewhere in his mid thirties or early forties, this guy seemed childlike in nature. Creepy.
“I guess… no, yeah, that does make sense. Still, your critiques are completely unprompted,” and unwanted, “so why do you keep doing it?” Travis took a moment to consider this question before sitting himself down on the bench next to Daniel.
“I believe it to be an unconscious decision, on my part. I’d been an artist for so long… when the gift was taken away from me, I couldn’t help but be immediately drawn-in whenever there was an artist around.” Daniel opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off when Travis snorted, trying to hold back his laughter. “‘Drawn-in’, get it?” A few small chuckles escaped him, and Daniel sat back in his seat with a sigh.
“You’re strange, you know that?”
“Well, being strange makes me interesting, don’t you think? I would rather be labelled as an oddity than to be labelled as ‘boring’.” He held up a finger, as though trying to get a point across. “‘Boring’, or ‘ordinary’, do you understand?”
“...I haven't the slightest clue,” Daniel finally admitted, and Travis’s smile fell into a slight frown.
“I’m talking about your art, Mr. Mata! Here, look,” He pointed to the open page on Daniel’s lap, where he had been in the middle of drawing a large robotic fish in the middle of an oil-ocean. “That is odd, strange... but NOT boring! It’s interesting and unique - though it’s a little too-forward facing, so try turning the fella more to an angle - but it’s one that people will surely remember, as compared to a plain self-portrait or yet another picture of the landscape.”
“And in saying so, you’re telling me that I’m going to remember you in particular? Of all the faces I see everyday?” Travis’s face lit up with a smile, then.
“You already remember me, don’t you?”
With that, Travis stood and walked a few paces forward before turning slightly to wave at Daniel over his shoulder.
“Well then. Same time tomorrow?”
Though irritated by the man at first, Daniel found his agitation slowly ebbing away, replaced with something more warm and comforting. He smiled a little and waved back.
“...Sure thing.”
Travis had been long gone before Daniel willed himself to look back down at his drawing. He took a kneaded eraser and erased the fish, only to redraw it again at a turned angle, so it instead faced away from the viewer instead of directly at them. He buried his face in his hands when he realized that Mr. Storming had been correct in his critique - it definitely looked better this way. Against his will, he found himself looking forward to tomorrow, hoping to learn more from him.

Monthly Project: January, Week 1
Tumblr media
OH BOY HERE WE GO
I suspect at least one person who was slightly interested in my projects was thinking I’d do something vidya related since, well, that was basically my defining interest for the past.... holy fuck, it’s been a decade. hm.
Well, sorry to say, it’s not this month. It might be next month’s, but not January. January belongs to worldbuilding for me; New year, new starts, and whole new worlds to create and explore. So what did I make?
I made a world in high fantasy.
But C, just what is a “Lunos”?
So for a long time I’ve been doing worldbuilding stuff on and off in my free time, and it’s turned into a pile of ideas I’ll never be able to do justice, nor would I want to given how some of them are “babby’s first design” But what a waste of potential that would be!
I’ve also toyed around with the idea of wanting to GM a D&D campaign, but that’d be very all or nothing for me. I wouldn’t want my players to be able to look up every aspect of the campaign online, and I certainly would want them to be curious about most aspects of the world. So that means creating an entirely new setting, with lore and map included. That’s a fuckload of work, which is why I was like “fuck GMing”
But fuck “fuck GMing.” It’s a new year, and while this may or may not help me and only me, it’s a thing I can do. So let’s pick up some of that old stuff I did, and throw it into a place that can be used for a setting. Lunos is what came out of taking a crucial part of the lore that I made up for another thing that I’ll never be able to use, and putting D&D style design constraints on it.
I love design constraints. No, really; they’re a great way to get you to focus down. Let’s see where it took me:
Making the Map
So for the longest time this is what was holding me back. I have shaky hands. Very shaky hands. It’s why I can’t aim in a lot of games, and it’s also why I can’t draw. For the longest time, this prevented me from making any sort of visual aspect for things save for stuff you can directly control in vector programs like Illustrator, and some very tiny spritework which requires you to pick which details you want to shine through.
But there is a thing or two I’ve learned I can do in the past few years: I can Google, and I can generate.
Tumblr media
I rendered some clouds in Photoshop CS5, used a filter to flatten them, and then took the shapes I liked and turned them into this. Obviously this can’t be a whole planet; this doesn’t work on a globe, but honestly I don’t need the whole planet right now, so this will do just fine.
Looking back at might notes for things I’m keeping from the lore, I need a round faultline which creates a mountain range which blocks rainfall from both sides, a few tactically advantageous places to put cities, some islands, 2 giant mountains in the middle of no where, and a few forests in sensible places in between.
I can do that.
Tumblr media
That’ll wor- wait shit, where are the deserts? Rivers?
Tumblr media
There we go. The scale of this isn’t really clear, so there’s a lot of big empty space. Let’s put in the places that need to be there. But how do I determine the scale? Unfortunately, the tutorial I was following to help me with this wasn’t as explicit with how it would look at this resolution, so when I got the brushes I used for mountains and forests and settlements etc., it was clear to me that this map wasn’t big enough in terms of pixels to get the detail I was looking for. SO what this means is I need to put major cities, towns, and landmarks in, and then later if I actually do end up using this map, I have to go into finer detail and redraw portions from it with some more added in, as well as better populate it with smaller towns and interesting things. This is fine, but it lacks any really objective standard for scale. But I do have something up my sleeve, but first let’s add in those important places.
Tumblr media
By the way kids; never be stingy with your layers. I had to redo large portions of this like 3 times before I got something I liked because of it.
But there we go. And there’s a line you can use for scale. But how did I get that scale? Well in my notes, there is an event for this city and this port town to be 1 day’s travel away due to an annual festival that parades down the road to this city’s front gate.
Tumblr media
Yeah, It really doesn’t scale well; I’ll definitely have to redraw on a better scale if I go about using it. But then again, I’m sure I’m not the first.
Regardless, now we have a visual reference for a distance that needs to be traveled in a day’s worth of doing so. That’s ~ 30 miles, and from there we can draw and expand that line.
Now we have ourselves a fault-line which curves from the North Wast where it separates a desert and forest, goes down South, then around East before curving down again. It’s not an accurate line to normal physics I’m sure, but it’s good enough for my needs. This portion of the planet is pretty far south, so lower portions are cold, leading to a different style of forest to the East on that island there than the one up north. That desert is of course just a desert due to lack of rainfall, which is collected further north by that semicircle of mountains there, creating that swamp.
As for the anomalies on the map: the oasis in the northern desert is an artificial one since this is a fantasy world and terra-forming isn’t out of the question when it comes to powerful wizards and sorcerers, and you can’t have an area that big with a potential trade route without a stopping point.
That Volcanic island is similarly not entirely natural, though the reason for that volcano emerging there is a bit more wobbly; haven’t quite fleshed that out as much yet, but I have a few ideas. Sure, I might have some stuff that is fleshed out, but not all of it; This hasn’t hit public eye, and it’s my world so as long as I’m consistent with my reasons when I do make them it could be whatever I want. It is a fantasy setting, after all.
If you’re curious what tutorial I used, it’s this one. Give it a shot yourself if you’re interested!
So what’s for next week now that you have a map?
Lore for starters. There’s a bunch there already, but a lot of my older and even newer stuff stems from a single design idea, and Lunos is included. Just to tease a little bit, while this is a campaign setting for D&D and therefore has all the typical races and plane-related stuff, it has it’s own history independent of all that. In fact, Lunos is actually this lush and active because of an apocalyptic event; it was actually barren, Mars-like, and rather simple before that. This mythical setting stuff is the result of a terrible accident which led to the radical changes that made it “high fantasy”, which most of it’s residents aren’t aware of, and those who are are trying to square the conflicting history of its past with its modern-day appearance and gods.
At the very minimum, I need to go more into depth about 8 gods, several lesser deities, and an entirely new race in the D&D 5e format. There’s still quite a lot of work to be done, and the order’s very specific:
I need to explain the idea behind Lunos, then explain its history, then explain its ideologies before I can even flesh out some of the gods, so that’ll be next week.
Depending on how that goes, I might get started on fleshing out new, actual homebrew content for a campaign that could be run in the setting.
But yeah, that’s for next week; thoughts? Too convoluted already? Map looks weird in places? This whole thing is silly?
