Pleasantview Reimagined: Brandi Broke

These Family sims continue to surprise me... Brandi is a primary Popularity aspiration and secondary Romance based on @belladovah's calculator.

She is an Aquarius with a "true" hobby of Arts & Crafts. Since she has 0 interest in work, and maxed interest in fashion, I thought it made sense to have her sew clothes (honoring her hobby) and sell them to make money. Brandi doesn't seem like a gal who's cut out for a typical career. I set her lifetime want as "Have 20 Simultaneous Best Friends" because she strikes me as a wannabe "it" girl (with being so close to becoming friends with the Caliente sisters at the start of the game) and this is actually achievable with her meeting so many people via her boutique business.

I always have Brandi have lots of babies and settle down so this really shakes things up for me!

My new description of her: "Brandi has given a lot to raise her children, and now wants to give herself a new life. She may not have a lot of money, or any desire to go into a career for that matter... but she does have a lot of passion - a passion for FASHION. She enjoys sewing, so why couldn't she start her own boutique with her own clothes? It's time to enjoy the finer things in life - a whole lot of friends, and maybe a whole lot of lovers too..."

Renovation: 225 Main Street (Pleasantview)

Custom Content: N/A Price: §60,815.00 Lot Size: 50x40 Lot Type: Residential Bedrooms: 3 Bathrooms: 2.5

Here is my renovation of the 225 Main Street, Pleasantview.

My vision was to create something that the Burb family made up of John, Jennifer, Lucy and Ethan (born in my game) lived in as family after moving back from Sim City.

This home now includes the following:

Basement/Altar Floor 1: Front Entry and Hallway, Powder Room, Lounge Room, Kitchen, Dining Room and Garage (with internal access) Floor 2: Upstairs Landing (could be used as a second lounge area), Master Bedroom with Ensuite, Main Bathroom, Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3

The backyard includes some fruit trees and a greenhouse. I added these based on John's biography.

Наче вона — порожнє місце в їхній родині, а центром їх всесвіту завжди є прекрасна Анжела. З її солодкозвучним голоском і невинними оченятами, здатними просити все, що заманеться. Жахлива несправедливість.

Дівчинка зупинилася вдихнути повітря й озирнулася навколо. Будинки були їй незнайомі — з батьками і сестрою вони не гуляли цією вулицею. Невже вона ще й загубиться тут? Хоча, невідомо, що гірше: загубитися чи повернутися додому,отримавши ще й прочухана у свій день народження. Ліліт заплакала знову, чи то від образи, чи то від безвиході. Батьки хоч помітили, що вона зникла? Чи будуть надто зайняті догожданчями їх ідеальній Анжелі?

— Привіт? — за спиною юної Плезант почувся тихий і трохи здивований голос. Озираючись, вона помітила смаглявого чорнявого хлопчика, що уважно розглядав її. Він, схоже, помітив її сльози, і подальші запитання були б щодо них. Ліліт шморгнула носом, не знаючи, що відповісти йому.

— Ти нетутешній? Я не пам'ятаю тебе тут, — дівчинка спробувала відвести розмову від себе.

— Ну, ми переїхали сюди нещодавно. Та я ще нікого не знаю тут, — він знизав плечима і підійшов трохи ближче. — Я Дірк, а тебе як звати?

— Ліліт, — відповіла Плезант, усе ще шморгаючи носом.

— Чому ти плакала? — спитав Дірк, простягаючи руку новій знайомій. Вона потиснула її, ховаючи погляд.

— Бо сьогодні мій день народження. І моєї сестри день народження. А всі ніби пам'ятають лише про неї!

— Йой. Може вони так поводяться, аби зробити тобі сюрприз?

— І не мрій. Так завжди. Кожного року, кожного дня!

— Це справді сумно. Але чекай хвилинку, — Дірк підійшов до будинку, що знаходиться поруч. — Чекай тут, я зараз. Я швиденько.

Хлопчик метнувся до будинку. Ліліт лише знизала плечима. Дірк справді з'явився швидко, але вибіг з-за будинку. Мабуть, через запасний вхід. У руці він тримав букет із зірваних у садку квітів, таких самих, що росли в Ліліт удома. В іншій руці тримав невелику статуетку і малюнок.

— Не думаю, що ти бажала б саме це, але все ж таки... З днем народження, Ліліт.

Якусь мить Ліліт лише розгублено кліпалп очима, та згодом боязко взяла подарунки нового знайомого.

— Це... я... дякую, — вона знову шморгнула носом, але вже не через образу. — Це найкраще, що мені дарували.

— Хочеш зайти до мене в гості? - запропонував Дірк. — Тато не буде проти, і мама от-от повернеться.

— Ліліт!

Не встигла дівчинка відповісти, як одразу почула за спиною голос дядька Джона. — Ми тебе всі шукаємо!

— Я не піду! Не забирайте мене додому! — тут же вперлася Плезант. — Я не піду!

— Ліліт, батьки хвилювалися, та й вже запізно. Час додому.

— Я не піду! — повторювала дівчинка, але чоловік уже забрав її подалі від дому нових знайомих.

Introductions: The Goths / The Crumplebottoms

So sorry it took me so long to continue! I've been swamped with work! But continuing on, the next family are the Goths/Crumplebottoms; a pair of sisters who live in this adorable little cottage with Cornelia's two cats.

Cornelia Goth - Elder

Mother to the previously introduced Mortimer Goth, Cornelia and her two pets moved in with her sister Agnes after her husband passed away. She's a Pisces who's nice, active, and serious. She's a knowledge aspiration with a secondary romance, and her lifetime want is to raise 20 puppies or kittens, which most likely isn't going to happen.

Traits: No Sense of Humor, Neat, Proper, Cat Person, and Artistic

Agnes Crumplebottom - Elder

Agnes is an infamous sim who first came on the scene whacking sims with her purse if they were in their bathing suits or showing too much PDA. Now, she resides in early Pleasantview, living with her sister and still being a pretty grumpy sim. She's a Virgo who's neat, serious, and oh so grouchy. She's also a knowledge aspiration with a secondary popularity, and her lifetime want is to have 20 simultaneous pet best friends. She might not like human sims, but she loves animals!

Traits: Cat Person, Grumpy, Proper, Dislikes Children, Snob

Hecuba Goth - Elder

Hecuba is a beautiful Siamese kitty who lives in the cottage with her owner, her owner's sister, and her brother. She's a Virgo, and she's hyper, finicky, and independent. I'm not too sure about that last one, because she seems to be loving being picked up and talked to.

Menelaus Goth - Elder

Brother to Hecuba, Menelaus is a handsome fellow. He's a Scorpio, and he's also a genius, lazy, and aggressive. He's the smartest kitty cat around, but don't get too close.

The Sims 2 Speed Build | Pleasantview | Planetary Pet Park

Speed Build Video. While editing a recent let's play video from Pleasantview, I realized how cute it was that neighbouring dogs can befriend each other. With this in mind, I decided to renovate one of the lot bin pet parks that came with the Pets expantion to give the dogs in my hood somewhere to meet up.

The functional agility set from Pet Stories was first converted and animated by Rebecah. Then, FracturedMoonlight and Shastakiss worked together to added on the backyard items, made the set recolorable, and added some beautiful swatches. The set is available for download here.

Bella Goth disappeared in the summer of 2004, a team of highly trained SimCity investigators traveled far and wide and managed to track her down and asked her a few questions. This is their published interview.

Rckljohnson: Where are you now?

Bella: Apparently I'm in a place called Strangetown and indeed it's an appropriate name. I'm not positive what happened or how I got here but I've begun seeing a therapist and my hypno-therapy sessions have been very productive! I've also been reading my diary, I always keep it close.

Bbygrl814916: How come you don't have any memories of Mortimer, Cassandra and Alex?

Bella: I couldn't remember anything for months after the abduction, just a flash and then nothing, but with the help of my diary and my therapist the memories are slowly starting to come back. It's hard to remember things that happened longer ago like Cassandra being born or even my wedding but I remember my family and how much I love them. I even remember some of the work Mortimer was doing before I was taken. He was getting very close to creating a permanent life extending elixir. I was worried he was spending too much time on it. He'd already been successful with a temporary version and it had become wildly popular throughout the town. I guess everybody wants to live forever!

simgelf: What happened the night you were abducted? Did the saucer crash?

Bella: I'm not sure about all the details but I've had dreams of being in some kind of ship, I don't think there was a crash or I wouldn't have woken up. I remember green men with big black eyes, it didn't make much sense then and certainly doesn't now. It seemed like only moments and I was somewhere entirely different.

Simology022: What exactly were you DOING on Don Lothario's roof the night you disappeared? How do you feel about your daughter's romantic relationship with Don?

Bella: I think Don Lothario is a misunderstood man. He moved into town and seemed so lonely. He was so different and "urban" that the neighbors wouldn't accept him. He needed a friend and we welcomed him into our lives. I think Cassandra had a crush on him from the very start and unfortunately I think he had a bit of a crush on me. I don't really think Don is right for Cassandra, but she should follow her heart - don't tell Mortimer I said that. The night I left Pleasantview I was over at Don's house talking to him about life, love, and how he was feeling being the new guy. It was a nice, warm starry evening so we were outside on the roof looking at the stars. All I remember is the flash of light and waking up in a strange place.

Chair492: Did you cheat on poor old Morty?

Bella: Of course not! I love my husband and I love my family, they are everything to me. I've never loved anyone like I love Mortimer Goth. He's just so silly, so cute, a side of him most people don't see. Most of our neighbors thought he was "too smart" or boring and that he couldn't possibly be "fun".

poochdog25: I'd like to know if Dina Caliente was in on this. I've noticed she is related to some aliens, and she came on the eve of your disappearance, and now she is after your husband. So where is Dina in the plot?

Bella: I didn't know that about Dina, but it makes sense. I'll probably never know for sure but here's what I think. When Dina and Nina moved into town they were certainly very forward with my husband. In fact, it was almost insulting how openly they were trying to win him over, as if I didn't notice! I think someone sent Dina to town specifically to pull Mortimer away from me. I know he's a genius and his work is important to a lot of people. I couldn't have possibly imagined that trying to create a life elixir that could help everyone would ever push somebody to ruin our marriage! And why take me away from him? Perhaps they thought I was a distraction and believed that taking me away from the love of my life would make him stop his work.

simslover210: What is up with all the rumors of you having a double?

Bella: I've heard these rumors and as far as I know they're untrue. I've never seen my double and I haven't heard any stories about seeing me with my double so who's to say it's a double at all? Though I bet my double isn't as cute.

PprFlwrs4: Why are you still young when your husband is old..and....really...eh..old?

Bella: I can't really explain it, maybe his work has backfired on him and instead of lengthening his life, it's aged him. Or perhaps the people that wanted to separate us somehow used his research and tested it on me, keeping me young.

WadeSimMiser: What happened to you when you decided to pay Pollination Technician #9 a visit? How would you explain this to your husband Mortimer?

Bella: I've met PT9, he's very nice! And his family is so sweet. They've been so kind to me as I get my bearings. I only wish Mortimer could have had the chance to meet him.

abonnell2000: If you had the option to go back to Mortimer, Cassie, and Alex, would you? Why or why not?

Bella: I've been trying to return to my family but so far, it hasn't worked. As I said, there's something strange about this town. It's almost as if every time I try to leave, I end up back here.

Dixiedawn30: Have you ever thought about changing your hair style? What is up with the red dress?

Bella: It works for me, why change?

I asked that to myself today and did some fake stills related to the lore with the help of Bing AI! Some of these turned out so good (IMO) that I couldn’t help but imagine how a real movie adaptation of The Sims lore would look like 😭
