My Askbox is Currently Only Open for Baldur’s Gate 3 Headcanons/Matchup Requests.

BG3 Match-Up Rules Are: Give me a personality description of either you or your Tav/OC. What are they like? Their best attributes? Worst attributes? Hobbies? Likes/dislikes? Preferred gender result, or if you’d like one of each gender. And if you’d be open to a poly or monogomous answer. For matchups, the limit is one per preferred gender (so max. you could get per matchup would be two).

I’d say max requests per ask is one. Like if you want two headcanons, submit those separately.

Max. characters per request can go up to 6, but expect the more characters included, the shorter the answers per character to be. So you ask for headcanons for Gale, I might give you 3 paragraphs whereas if you ask for Gale, Wyll, and Shadowheart, I may only write 1-2 paragraphs per character in that answer.

This is mostly just a vent but. Im so deep in burnout i cant go to work. i wake up and get ready and dressed and then i freak out and have a meltdown bc its overwhelming and i end up thinking of everything im fucking up by calling in to the point my boss tried to call me to talk and i just never responded bc i dont know what to do. im looking for a new job but idek if thats gonna help. my bf and i just got our first apartment and im able to make rent rn with literally no money left after and i feel so guilty bc it's causing him so much stress too. i have a therapy appt set but im so scared to ask for the help i need bc idk how to tell a professional i think im autistic and have adhd without sounding like im begging for meds. and to top it all off i just got home from my parents and my cat that i left (for my little brother) has a hematoma that parents could probably afford vet care for if they really tried but they wont and i cant even think about paying for that rn. im so scared shes gonna die. shes 8-9 and has been getting matts lately and shes already practically blind and im so scared. i skipped school for almost 2 weeks when my last cat died idk wtf im gonna do.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

The number says 81 but that’s because I have a series version of aftermath from when it was supposed to be just loosely connected one-shots, before it spiraled into the monster it became. I kept it up along with the chapter-by-chapter version because I had people following along with the story that way, and I didn’t want to get rid of my very first comments on ao3 by deleting them.

Taking those out of the equation, I only have 29 🤣

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

With the series version of aftermath, 486,278. Without it, 380,218. Either way, holy shit.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

My main one is the Legend of Zelda, obviously, but I also dabble in Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen (wips only rn lmao), Final Fantasy XVI, and even Batman!

these numbers are crazy to me I haven’t looked at my stats in FOREVER!

the fifth one, “trying”, is so funny to me because it’s technically chapter five of “aftermath”, coming from the series version way back in 2020 when I was only in my sixth day of writing fanfic. I don’t know what possessed me back then that I was able to write five chapters in six days (possibly the small word counts and my freshman year of college being zoom university LOL) but I did it!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes, though I never really say much other than a “thank you for reading and commenting!”

I sometimes wish I could be like other authors and spark conversations in my responses, but I never know what to say other than the thank yous! I’m much more verbose in dms/discord servers 😂

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

either my newest zelda fic, avatar, or a thing that doesn’t change with time.

immortal beedle is weird, thoughc because it’s not angsty in the sense that it’s all that sad, it’s angsty because of the Implications.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

this is a tough one, because so many have happy endings! I think the happiest is tied between my post-totk fic, something borrowed, and with every drop of rain singin’, where link rescues zelda from the calamity but she has amnesia after.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I’ve only ever gotten three instances of it, but one of those times was someone connecting evil zelink to communism and covid vaccines for some strange reason?? I still don’t know what the hell that was about 💀

I tend to just delete any “hate” comments from my inbox but keep them on the fic itself (except for the communism person because what, though I have them screenshotted to laugh at because it’s so bizarre), because I don’t like to erase what anyone’s said.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do! It tends to be on the, uh, rougher side, because I’ve grown tired of soft fluffy lovemaking in fics, but when it needs to be soft and sweet I can do that as well 😆 the only instance where I’ve written smut with the intention of not being sexy is my chainsaw man fic, ignorance is bliss, where it’s more of a warning sign about the relationship as the fic progresses.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I don’t write any crossovers! I haven’t felt the inspiration to, and I don’t even know what I would crossover in the first place.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Again, not to my knowledge, but if someone would want to translate any of my fics I would just like them to ask for permission! They’d definitely get it 😂

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I would like to at some point! It’s been a while since I’ve done collaborative writing, but when I did do it as a writing exercise it was fun.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

In terms of fic writing, zelink of course. In terms of reading, I’ve been on a satosugu (a jujutsu kaisen ship) kick lately thanks to, um, Recent Events in both the anime and the manga. if you know you know 😭

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

god I hate to say I’ll never finish something but honestly it’s either “a memory of younger days” or “faded into legend”.

I haven’t thought about either of those fics in soooooo long, and part of me wants to take them down but another part of me has hope that one day I’ll get the spark for them again. the aftermath cinematic universe series as a whole is something im constantly rotating in my brain and adding little things to, but it takes so much of my brainpower that I need a Break from it for a bit 😂

but I will finish the Urbosa fic. that’s a promise to myself, because I do love it so so much.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I always get comments about my dialogue and characterization, and I always enjoy those parts of writing, so those!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I cannot describe a setting to save my life 💀

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I would love to, but I only speak English! If I could do it properly without relying on something like Google Translate I would do it in a heartbeat.

GOD that’s hard. I really love all of my fics, but I got a comment on with every drop of rain singin’ last night which made me reread the whole thing, and something about the Emotion and pure Vibes that fic has still gets me sometimes, because the whole thing was inspired by Pink In The Night by Mitski. a bookmark on it says “gets sappy quick” and it’s the truth, because I really did just have link think about his love for a zelda that doesn’t know who he is for 33k.

the metal series still exists in this universe! metal sonic, shadow, and silver are the main ones, with metal amy playing the role of canon metal sonic. tails doll and mecha knuckles also exist but i don't have any ideas for them yet :pensive:

they were built around the same time that amy met the boys (when sonic and shadow were 8 and silver was 7) to substitute for them if they were sleeping, busy, or otherwise not available for battle. the metals play their roles as tools for intimidation, destruction, and execution of complex or sensitive plans, but are still no match for the real deal.

metal sonic can simulate sonic's speed, metal shadow can simulate his strength (and has plenty of explosives on deck for a chaos blast substitute), and metal silver is. trying his best. eggman hasn't yet figured out how to artificially recreate silver's psychokinesis without a chaos emerald as a power source

they're backups, not replacements, and are Very Special Robots, but they're still underneath the egghogs in the eggman empire's hierarchy.

they can also be used as supports / extra firepower while the egghogs are present, and are helpful for overwhelming powerful opponents or large cities. because of their high priority and fancy tech, they aren't sent out for any old busywork, just because it causes a whole fiasco when they're in for repair

a secondary (in the boys' minds, primary) function is to provide companionship for eggman's sons. the metals have preprogrammed unique personalities (though the neo metal amy incident has led to metal amy's personality being almost completely removed) that are aligned with the boys' own, which is especially helpful when only one of them is busy and the others miss his company.

they are programmed primarily to be killing machines, but do have some basic social skills. they will tolerate being dressed up and will participate in games if prompted. they also make exciting sparring partners, although eggman discourages this; repairing them is a pain in the tuckus

they still aren't a replacement for the real thing. which drives sonic crazy after his brothers leave. he talks to them like his brothers, but they are incapable of speaking back. he tries to play with them, spar them, take them places, but it's just not the same. they're ghosts of what he once had. he hangs out with them anyway.

I haven't been on tumblr for a while since I uninstalled the app to try and get off my phone more. But I've gotten the app back now, so hopefully I'll be around a bit more.

As always, disaster is my constant companion. This time, my living situation has been totally upended (mega short version, no details, I told my mom I didn't want her to hit my child and she kicked me out 💀). Not homeless, living with my boyfriend, but it's not the best arrangement. And my ankle is sprained AND I have a torn ligament 🫠 So my stress levels are at record heights and I am barely handling it lol. 1. what do you do for work? 2. is TB exposure a common hazard of your work? 3. is TB a common disease in the place (like the city/country) you live/work in? 4. have you ever had the BCG vaccine? 5. do you have any factors that would make you at-risk for TB (such as being immunocompromised and smoking and/or injecting drugs?)? 6. do/did you have TB symptoms? 7. do you know if the TB would be in your lungs or another part of your body?

8. what was getting the test like? 9. what type of test did you get? 10. why do you need a second? 11. do you know the company that manufactures those tests? 12. are you paying for it out of pocket or does your work/insurance cover all or part of the cost? 13. if the test was positive and you needed treatment (either preventative treatment with latent TB or drugs needed for an active infection), would your work/insurance cover it?

that’s all i can think of to ask right now but also i looked at your blog and saw you like vampires a lot, are you aware of how TB is (at least in part) responsible for a lot of vampire lore, (i am think specifically but not exclusively of the new england vampire panic!)?

haven't actually started work yet but I'll be doing inventory in a hospital. so i do have a higher than average chance of encountering tb. but it's not unique to this job to be tested, I got tested/had to show proof I'd been tested in the last year working at a grocery store and restaurant and my dad had to be tested when he worked for cps and i believe both my parents needed to be tested to work at a school. as far as I know it's not any more common where I've lived (hawaii rn and alaska before) but it's part of the state requirements for certain jobs to be tested for it.

Im pretty sure I didn't have the bcg vaccine but i can't say 100% for sure. I occasionally smoke weed but other than that I'm not at risk and I don't have any symptoms or anything

i got a two stage skin test. they inject some tuberculin under the skin on the forearm and 48 hours later you come back for them to look at it and see if your body reacted. I had no reaction and was negative. I'm not sure why they had to do it a second time, last time I only had to do one round of it but this time they told me i had to do it twice. I'm not sure what company manufacturers the tests, I didn't get a very good look at the vials.

my first test last year was at a normal clinic so it was covered by my state insurance. this round of tests was through the hospital's employee nurse so it wasnt charged to me or my insurance. if the test had come back positive, I'm pretty sure my insurance would have covered treatment.

also I did know that! I've got a lifelong love of vampires in general but for a little while as a kid I had a specific interest in the new england vampire panic :3

reading !!! i love stories and reading is possibly my favorite way of experiencing a story

talking whether it's just shouting into the void on tumblr or having a conversation with someone else i love sharing my thoughts and hearing other peoples thoughts on stuff

i don't think i talk about this often but i love doing puzzles it's so fun to just turn a long video essay on in the background while i put one together and i'm usually really good at spotting small details to see where the picture or piece shapes connect

i really like rain. it makes the air cool and it smells nice and the sound is really relaxing to me i love the vibe when i wake up and it's gray at like 8 am and raining outside

this one might seem a bit weird but like shorts and loose t-shirts or tank tops since i really don't like the feeling of clothes on my skin and it feels so good when i get home from like school or going outside and i can change into clothes that make me feel way more comfortable

edit 6th i just remembered i really like helping other people whenever i can. i wish i could do more to help others like donating to them but i can't really do that rn (minor with no money of my own at the moment) but when i'm older i hope i can do that more it just feels good to know i helped someone

ummmmm retail sucks. working in it, i mean. i'm definitely in the camp of "be nice to your retail workers" / "if you think retail is so easy why don't you work in it?", just because the customers i deal with are either super understanding or sweet, or super negative / haughty / full-of-themselves when i'm helping them. it helps that i act how i want ( very cute~ ) unless you get me mad, but i've also gained a sort of confidence and seriousness from working in retail? but i'm also just done with it and am so sleepy vfggfgchfcfchnc

also i wanna write here!!!!!!!! so bad!!!!!!!!! but because of work the energy has been nonexistent, especially since i work in the later hours nowadays, and that just drains me even more since i'm a night owl and wanna like. do things. at night. so i stay up until 2am when i get home around 11pm from an 8/9 hour shift. and get more sleepy. (when i start school again dude i swear......25 hours a week max; i need more days to myself)

back to writing, i haven't forgotten about........some of the ideas i've had hjgfhghgkhgjh i'm gonna make that atlas gbf oc!!!!!! that's like at the forefront of my mind, but going through replicard sandbox (for the first time hehe) i'm like "...........should i make this guy like an opposite of The World (says girl who hasn't even finished the story in arcacum however it's spelled aaaaa)" because that Would be funny. but then i'm also like "if i made this guy At All, it would be at least a little bit of world building importance in him, and that energy is Not present" because it's atlas........we all remember the tale of atlas yes? maybe?????
