It’s less than a week til Chris’ and Laura’s wedding and the preparations are in full swing. The venue for their important day is a vineyard estate in Sonoma as they opted for a rustic wedding.

Laura travelled earlier to San Francisco to welcome their guests and for one last dress fitting. Chris still had a few business appointments to go to in LA before leaving for the wedding and honeymoon in France — he was being expected in Sanfran for the rehearsal dinner, one day before the wedding. 

After a busy day, Chris arrives home and calls Laura:

 „Hi, beautiful. How was your day?“

„Hi, handsome! It was okay but I missed you. What about yours? You sound tired!“, she says worried.

„Yeah, my day was busy and then I went out with the guys for a drink… I’m so glad I’m home“, he sighs exhausted, „I talked to my mom earlier and she said you guys had a fitting appointment?!“, he chuckles, „She said you were the most beautiful bride she had ever seen and that I was definitely going to cry… but we already knew that. It’s going to be impossible to marry the love of my life without being emotional“. 

Laura giggles, „Aww, for what’s worth, I am sure I’m going to cry too“, she lays down on her hotel bed, „What are you up to?“

„Talking to you… thinking about you… missing you… wishing you were here“, he lies on the couch, smiling.

„You are so sweet... I can’t wait to see you, Chris. Can’t you fly in earlier?“

„Sadly no, but I want you to know that I’ve been missing you since the moment I dropped you off at the airport… I love you more than anything“, he closes his eyes, „Only two more days and I’ll be there, babe“, his voice is quiet and gentle.

„In three days I’ll be your wife, Chris… your Mrs. Powell. I hope you know that millions of hearts throughout the US will break the moment you say ‚I do‘“, she giggles.

„Well, too bad for them. All I need is you, my Mrs. Powell“, he smiles.

Laura closes her eyes and yawns, „I have a lot to do tomorrow… I better go to sleep now, love. Talk tomorrow?!“, she asks.

He chuckles, „First thing in the morning, my love! Sweet dreams, I love you“, he says.

„Sweet dreams, Chris. I love you too“

Chris arrives at the restaurant for the rehearsal dinner with his mother and siblings and sees that everybody is already there. He walks through the crowd, greeting each one of them and stopping at Kaitlyn and Abbie.

„Hey, you two! Haven’t see you in a few months! How are you guys doing?“, he says hugging them.

„There you are, captain!“, Kaitlyn smiles, „Yeah, been busy with my band but I wouldn’t miss the wedding of the century for the world“.

„Me neither!“, Abbie says, „Tyler and I have been busy with our company but we tried to keep up with your games, Chris. You killed it this football season! And congrats on your new contract and Rookie Award!“, she smiles, clapping him on the back.

Chris blushes, still not grasping how much he has accomplished in a year, „Thank you, guys!“, he looks around, „Where is Laura by the way? I haven’t seen her yet!“

Kaitlyn chuckles „Don’t worry, Powell. She will be here any minute now! In the meanwhile, why don’t you go say hi to Zig, Becca, Zack and Tyler over there“, she points to the other side of the room.

„Awesome! Talk to you guys later“, he smiles and excuses himself.

Ten minutes later, Laura arrives at the restaurant with her parents. She is wearing a white bodycon dress; her brown hair is falling over her shoulders and she smiles when she sees him. Chris turns around following everybody’s gaze and sees his beautiful bride walking in, making her way to him. He greets her with a wide smile.

„Hey, love. You look stunning!“, he kisses her gently on the lips, one hand on the smallest of her back and the other on the back of her neck.

„Chris, everybody is looking at us“, she whispers against his lips.

„Let them! I’m just saying hello to my future wife, they will understand“, he smirks, resting his forehead on hers, „I wish we could spare a few minutes, only you and me!“, his hands around her waist.

„Maybe later but right now we should focus on our guests, baby!“, she kisses him one last time, taking his hand and going to make their rounds.

After dinner, when people were busy with their last drinks before heading to their hotels, Chris approaches Laura, „Hey beautiful“, he shows her some keys, „Care to follow me?“, he smirks.

Laura looks around, whispering, „What do you have in mind, Powell?“. He winks at her, taking her hand and heading to a door outside the reception room.

„We are going to the rooftop for a few minutes alone“, he says, „I got the keys from the owner of the restaurant, we should have about 15 minutes before they notice that we are gone“. They walk up the stairs to the 4th floor and up to the roof. „Ahhh, alone at last!“, he says pressing her against the door.

„Oh, I thought you wanted to admire the view!“, she giggles.

„That’s exactly what I plan on doing…“, he leans in for a kiss on her neck, tracing kissed down to her shoulder. „I missed you, beautiful“

„I missed you too, Chris“, she says and a moan escapes her lips. „What are you plans for this secret date?“

„You will find out in a second“, he pulls her dress up, until it reaches her hips exposing her underwear and kneels before her, slipping a finger inside her panties, pushing it aside and lowering his lips into her slick folds, sucking and licking her - she moans increasingly louder.

„Chris?! We said… no sex til the wedding!“, she says, her eyes closed and her hands on his hair.

„I didn’t say anything, you decided for both of us that two weeks without sex was a good idea… but, well, you only need to ask and I’ll stop“, he looks at her smirking when he sees her face, enjoying his touch. „You are so wet for me, babe… do you really want me to stop?“

„No, please… don’t you dare stopping now!“, she pleads.

After a few minutes, she screams his name, pulling his head into her in pleasure and he smiles. „Wow, someone really enjoyed this one!“, he stands up.

„Oh gosh, I really missed you, honey“, she wraps her hands around his neck, smiling satisfied and he kisses her, giving her a taste of herself. „Is there anything I can do to thank you for your service, captain?“, she places kisses along his jawline.

„Letting me into your room tonight would be a start“, he smirks wiggling his brows.

„Nope, this isn’t happening, Chris… you will have to wait til our wedding night!“, her hands slide from his neck to his chest and lower, stopping on the bulge of his pants, „But I bet there is something else that I could do for you right now…“, she smiles naughtily.

„Hmmm, what do you have in mind?“, he asks, his eyes half opened. She turns him around and this time, she is the one pressing him against the door. She unzips his pants with a smirk on her face and he groans as she brushes her fingers over his massive member. She takes a step back and bends forward, giving him a taste of her warm breath and wet mouth. „Oh God, Laura…“, she work her hands and mouth on him — gradually increasing the speed and depth and he groans louder. After a few minutes he says: „Hun, I… I’m gonna…“, he tries to finish his sentence but he can’t.

„In my mouth…“, she says smiling and it doesn’t take long for him to find his release filling her mouth with his cum. 

He chuckles satisfied, „Oh fuck… this was so good, love!“, he looks down seeing her looking up at him, licking every single drop of his fluid.

After an early breakfast with her bridesmaids and her parents in her suite at the Four Seasons, Laura drove with her entourage to Sonoma, where she got hair and make up done for her special day. Shortly before she puts her dress on, she received Chris’ wedding present — a black case with a red ribbon, sending him hers, a bottle of one fine Scottish Whisky. She opens up the case and sees a diamond necklace, and a note:

„My love,

I can’t wait to see you walking down the aisle, making your way to me. I hope you like your gift and that it keeps you company until you are by my side… forever!“

I love you and I’m counting the minutes!

Laura smiles, feeling blesses for having him in her life.

After getting dressed, she looks herself one more time in the mirror and hears the door opening, it is her father. 

„Hey baby girl, is everything alright?“, he smiles.

„Yes, dad. Can you help me with this necklace though?“, he smiles showing him her wedding gift.

„Wow, this is beautiful. Chris has very good taste, but then again, it shouldn’t be surprise as he is marrying my daughter!“, he lays it on her neck, closing the clasp and leaving her admiring it for a second. „We should get going, sweetie. Chris is already waiting“. She smiles at him and they leave the room.

Chris seems to be so nervous, waiting for his bride. He looks at the time on his watch and leans in to talk to Zack and Tyler, his best men, „She is already 10 minutes late… do you think she could have changed her mind?“, he says nervous.

Zack laughs, „It’s adorable to see you freaking out because of a girl, Mr. Quarterback of the year…“, he looks at Tyler and they chuckle, „Of course not! She is just being fashionably late. I know Laura and not even the big one could keep her away from you“. Chris smiles nervously, throwing a look at his mother, who looks back very excited. Suddenly the band starts playing and he knows, she is on her way to him.

It takes a few second until he is able to see her. She looks beautiful, he is sure that he has never seen anything more beautiful than her. He smiles and fights back the tears welling up in his eyes. He brushes one tear away from his cheeks shortly before she arrives in front of him. He is so enchanted by her beauty that he barely notices her father. As Stephen puts one hand on his arm, he snaps out of it, looking at him and shaking his hand. „Take good care of my daughter, Christopher! She is one of a kind“, he smiles and leaves.

Chris looks at Laura, smiling like a fool, „I could burst with happiness right now and this is all because of you, my love“, he kisses her on the cheeks.

„I can’t wait to call you my husband, Chris… I love you“, she says.

„I love you too“, he takes her hand and they walk the last few steps to a gazebo, where the ceremony is going to be held.

After a few words from the marriage officiant, Chris reads his vows, crying:

„Laura, we have been through a lot during all these years together. We’ve had many ups and a some downs… I was a fool a couple of times, took you for granted but you never gave up on me. Even through the months we were apart, our love was still very much alive. This time was the worst in my life but it made me understand one thing, there is no me without you. I don’t want to spend one second of my life without the certainty of your love and without making sure you know how much I love you. I promise to love you forever, to respect you, to take care of you and protect you“, he smiles and Laura looks at him, her eyes full of tears, „I wanna be there for you, always by your side, I am your biggest fan and admire. I can’t wait to be your husband and call you my wife. I love you, I need you and I want you in my life forever“. He brushes the tears off her cheeks and realizes that everybody is crying as well.

Laura kisses his hand and says:

„There is no words to express what I am feeling right now. You came into my life, almost by coincidence, knocking me off my feet“, they laugh thinking about their first encounter in Hartfeld, „But you stayed in my life by choice. I have chosen you every day, Chris — through all the difficulties, through all the adjustments, through all the growing up we had to do that led us here, to this place, to this important milestone in our life. I don’t regret anything, I don’t regret choosing you. You are the other half of my heart, my best friend, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. I promise to love you, I may not love you every hour of the day but I will love you every day; I promise to be your biggest cheerleader and your fiercest protector, to respect you and cherish you with every breath I take. I love you and there is nothing I want more than spending the rest of my life with my favorite Quarterback!“. Chris closes his eyes, covering them with his hands and Laura brushes his tears away from his cheeks.

As the ceremony proceeds the minister asks:

„Do you Christopher Powell take Laura Davis, to be your lawfully wedded wife, to share your life openly, standing with her in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in hardship and in ease, to cherish and love forever more?“

„I do“, he answers looking at Laura and smiling.

„Do you Laura Davis take Christopher Powell, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to share your life openly, standing with him in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in hardship and in ease, to cherish and love forever more?“

„I do“, she answers smiling widely.

„By the power invested in me by the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife“, he looks at Chris smiling, „You can now kiss your bride, Christopher“. Chris quickly pulls Laura to him, dipping her into a searing kiss, taking her breath away while the audience cheer. 

He pulls her back to her feet, smiling, „Mrs. Powell, I love you“.

„Mr. Powell, I love you too“, she smiles. He takes her hand and they walk down the aisle together, heading to their celebration.

After spending the day with their friends and family it was time for Chris to take his bride back to the hotel. A driver picked them up and they spent the trip back to San Francisco talking about their favorite memories of the day.

As they arrive at the door to the honeymoon suite, Chris smirk at Laura, „I have been looking forward for this moment for a long time now“. Laura giggles brushing her fingers over his cheeks. He opens the door and picks her up, carrying her into the bedroom. 

As he puts her down, Laura smiles coyly, resting her hands on his chest, looking deep into his eyes: „A new chapter of our lives starts today… make me yours, Chris“. He smirks, tracing kisses from her neck to her shoulder and turning her gently around to unbutton her wedding dress, letting it fall to the floor. He picks her up again, taking her to bed before removing his own clothes.

„There is nothing in the world more beautiful than you, Mrs. Powell“, he whispers, climbing over her, leaning in for a kiss. She wraps her legs around his waist deepening the kiss. „I want you so bad, Laura“.

„Then take me, the first time as my husband, honey…“, she looks at him so full of love and desire and he looks back at her with the same feelings and intensity. Chris removes her underwear kissing each and every inch of her body. She shivers with every touch of him and her moans get louder with every new sensation.

He holds her gaze and slowly fills her swollen folds, groaning as he feels his manhood stretching her walls. „I love you…“, he says thrusting slowly in and out of her, agonizingly slowly and she begs for more. His hands roaming her body, his mouth kissing her breasts, making her scream. In time, he picks up the pace, thrusting into her faster and deeper, listening to her cries of pleasure. I highly doubt Chris would treat the MC like this outside of the rushed plot. The breakup was dumb. Since when did he start thinking MC just sits in her pyjamas and writes all day? A few chapters ago he was building her up. I'm sure this is the same for all other MCs. The breakup was forced and I understand it's because they want to move the story ahead but the words my LL said, demeaning MC, was dumb. It would have been better if they'd agreed on a temporary split so that they could fully pursue their passions. Afterwards the player could choose to get back together or not. Plus, I'm sure we will get back together with the MC the same time Vasquez does with Eliana.

OMG! What a WILD RIDE! Monica Murphy really pulled out all the stops with this final book in this series! I can’t believe I survived, the ups and downs these two faced. There were so many great details and moments that just filled me up. And so many moments I wanted to pull my hair out and then take out my frustrations on Eli. This was full of miscommunication, not enough communications, and stubbornness. I was stressed out, I was grinning, I was worried, I was rooting for them, I was teary eyed, my emotions pretty much ran the gamut while reading this. But there was such excellent character development as these two work on what they truly want for their future. Tempers flare and sparks fly as they figure it all out.

So settle in and get your tissues ready! You don’t want to miss this book!, Get ready for some serious angst, tension, drama and a lot of emotion. I felt like my emotions were going to spill over while I was reading and by the end my heart was bursting. What a Fantastic Epilogue!

Received an early copy and this is my honest review.

After a few seconds, Laura lowers Vasquez’ diary and gets surprised by what she sees. She puts it on the nightstand and smiles naughtily, „Well, If I only knew…“, her eyes sweeps over Chris’ naked body.

„You got me worried for a moment. I thought not even naked would I get your attention anymore“, he chuckles. 

„Hmmm, I love when you walk around naked“, she gets up and walks up to him. She puts her hands on his chests, brushing her fingers over his muscles and they tighten beneath her touch. A groan escapes his lips. Her hands travels down his body, touching his now almost fully erected member, „Remember when you used to spend the weekends like this… teasing me?“, she strokes his manhood gently.

He raises his head once again and brushes his fingers over her folds before bringing his tongue to her glistening sex once again, earning him loud moans from Laura.

„Chris… baby…“, she calls his name in between moans, raising her hips in an involuntary movement.

„I’m not done with you, hun…“, he slides two fingers inside her, pumping them in and out while his tongue enjoys her wetness.

Laura straddles Chris, laying her hands on his chest, riding him the way she knows he loves. They blank out the world around them, moving as one, enjoying this feeling growing inside their body for a moment. Their movements getting faster, she feels him getting deeper into her. She can already feel his release close to coming, she is almost there herself. Chris raises his upper body holding her, wrapping his arms around her, pinning her naked body to his, „Come for me, love“. His lips crashes onto her and she moans into his mouth, her muscles tightening around his manhood, making her convulse. He grabs her hips moving them faster up and down and he screams her name, „Laura…“, finding a release of his own. They both fall onto the mattress, breathless for a moment, enjoying the aftershocks of their orgasms.
