images for a scrapped (?) analog horror-style mini video exploring an AU where mickey is an animatronic inhabiting disneyland's toontown alongside his friends as new technological meet-and-greet characters.

only problem is, mickey doesn't know he's a robot living in a theme park. def would have truman show vibes, as mickey slowly comes to realize his true nature. i'm not too sure where the plot would go from there, i've been toying with the idea of an oswald "personality" living in mickey's brain (giving him lore dumps that poor mick really doesn't want to hear rip), mickey trying to get his friends to understand what's going on, as well as mickey being abducted buzzy-style by an urban explorer.

i just got back from a trip to disneyland!!!! and ALL THE OSWALD MERCH IS ALREADY GONE SO I WANT TO SCREAM but its okay i just draw him instead :) give him a disney 100 design so i dont simmer with rage forever

i managed to find oswald ears, an oswald pin, and a limited edition only-available-at-disney silver oswald funko pop so im happy hehe

Cooking up more concepts for that Toon!Yuu AU. And some,,,, developments happened. You ever have a design that went so far off from the original that it becomes its own separate character? Yeah so that previous dog toon isn't Reina anymore, she's her own Dog now LOL.

So that means back to working on a design for Reina in the Toon!Yuu AU, second concept for her was just giving her mickeys face I have ideas for this to make it interesting.

I should establish the two Toon AUs or atleast give them names. 🤔

Let's say Dog toon girl is Toontown!Yuu and Toon Reina is my personal Yuu that is a toon for undisclosed reasons? Cool? Cool. Both will be tagged under Toon!Yuu as the general tag. Dog toon will be given her own name tag (ha) w the Toontown!Yuu tag and Toon Reina will be under Mercy Mouse as her personal name tag instead of her full name.

does anyone here remember epic mickey??? well i do!!! and i recently dove back into the world of wasteland and i got pretty inspired…..

here are my original sketches!! I wanted to explore the idea of ‘what if the eddsworld boys were in wasteland too’ soooooo I did. I touched on different aspects of the game like toons,blots,and animatronics. I have a whole story for them in my head the more I research and dive into the lore…. I thought ‘yknow, what if the EW boys were forgotten over time due to no new content and their toon hearts faded and then were transported to wasteland’ but ofc, theyre not disney so lets pretend that this is for all toons lol .

Then I got working…

Here are my digital concepts! I made them pretty diverse for the universe… All of them are essentially toons but two of em got turned into animatronics as you can tell (thanks Mad Doc). For the designs of the boys I wanted to use a mixture of new and old, matt and tom are old designs while edd and tord are more recent….. it kinda makes sense just think abt it. However when Tord first appeared in WL he had his trench coat….. that changed as you can read from my notes…. (I’m so sorry if you cant read them)

I wanted to explore this world and topic more! So i then designed what their house would look like!

This is their abandoned house somewhere in Ostown. Ya’ll remember when they had a blue house??? But anyways theres plenty of easter eggs in there….. I tried my best to make it look as toontown as possible but still keep that creepy feel !

This AU idea I got has been so much fun to work on ….. I hope I can work on more places/story driven pieces soon!! Like Edd’s Sketch Shop in Mean Street or where Matt dwells in the Gluch. Argh so many ideas!! I would make this post too long with my own wasteland boys ‘lore’ sooooo……. Feel free to ask questions in my inbox if you want!!! I’m always open to share :D

I am making a comic! A Mickey Mouse comic! It is about Mickey losing his job at Disney and being kicked out of toontown due to insufficient funds. Mickey moves in to Oswalds house, a small little place in California that he pays for with welfare. Mickey has never had a life outside of his dads company, and is in desperate need of support from his brother Oswald the Rabbit, and all the friends Oswald has made since being disowned by Disney.

This honestly is just a place for me to be autistic about a weird silly au I made to cope. Epic Mickey and "Toons" have been my special interest since I was super little!

Some info about me!

I am a white jewish American, I am also disabled and have DID/autism/cptsd/hpd. My family has a military background and a dance/ballet background that I'm drawing a lot from for the context of this story. Mickey, Oswald and Felix are all based off of facets of myself.

Okay! I have been thinking about toons, I thought I could share something about my mickey toontown story, but I don’t really like calling it the ‘toontown au’ anymore. The original name and the one I’ll call it from now on is and was ‘New Mouse in Town’. The thing is, I’m extremely busy with many projects, from OC stuff, to the sam&max ‘fangame’, to just overall short random drawing ideas that I need to immediately draw. Right now I’m not really motivated to build a huge story with this, but it is an idea I like to imagine from time to time, like as if it was a show I would make and I would just steal all the characters from disney. So, I do HAVE the structure of the pilot written, some dialogue too, and I thought why not, let’s share it! It’s still a draft so of course it doesn’t feel complete, but to give you an overall idea of an introduction, as well as some changes.

“We are introduced to Mickey, who needs no introduction. This version of him, he hasn’t met any of his friends yet, so he is a bit of a newbie. He is overly positive and pretty corny, like how he is in the Paul Rudish shorts, but probably a bit less, because I’m not funny enough to capture that Mickey.

Mickey talks to the taxi driver, the turtle from the Oswald cancelled show, and talks about how he is moving to Toontown, a wonderful town full of toons, including celebrities like Bugs Bunny. We give a bit of a hint towards his past, implying that he might not have been happy before but this town will finally be his chance to make friends.

Mickey arrives in town and he interacts with a couple of well-known characters, like Roger Rabbit, Kermit the frog, [include any well known cartoon or puppet character]

After that montage of cameos, Mickey decides to sing a song, but is immediately stopped by a toon, Oswald. Oswald tells him what the hell he thinks he’s doing, Mickey is confused and tries to sing again but Oswald tries to stop him and tell him he can’t do that here. Other toons tell Oswald that as long as it isn’t a big song or anything that it can’t be too bad and that Oswald is a grouch anyway. This makes Oswald mad so he just shut ups and leaves. Mickey starts to sing and oh no it IS a big song. In one part of his musical number, he sings that his name is Mickey Mouse and that caughts Oswald’s attention, but then Mickey is immediately interrupted by three cogs, they hand him a musical number fee, Mickey is confused, the three cogs look at each other in silence and they tell him to come with them to ask him a few questions, but Mickey obviously rans away. The cogs follow him and Oswald does so too at a distance.

Chase sequence, a lot of visual jokes are meant to be placed on this scene, too bad we can’t see them on a written script, too good i don't have to come up with them right now. In this sequence we are introduced to Mickey’s well known friends, but without really introducing them properly yet, just a way to let the audience know what’s coming. When Mickey rans away he sees that a girl has lost her scarf and while he rans away he also runs after the scarf, because Mickey is just way too nice like that. He bumps into Daisy and apologizes so much that Daisy finds it amusing and sweet, when he rans away and the cogs ask her if she has seen a mouse running away she directs them to the wrong direction. He sees a hungry dog (Pluto) and quickly buys him a hot dog, which later makes Pluto bites the cogs. Goofy is lost and looking for directions and Mickey stops and gives him the right direction, which later makes Goofy give the cogs a purposely wrong direction as to where Mickey went. Mickey quickly gets in a bus and bumps into Donald who looks really depressed, so Mickey gives him a short but very nice and sweet conversation before he gets out of the bus. Mickey finally gets the girl’s scarf and surprise surprise it was Minnie’s, who was chasing for it too. He gives it to her and they have a cute moment, Minnie leaves and Mickey is so distracted that he immediately gets caught by the cogs lol

Mickey is finally captured and sent to a court where he is judged by multiple cogs. They ask him questions and Mickey doesn’t really know how to reply, the Cogs threaten with ‘taking his heart’ and Mickey is horrified and confused. Then Oswald shows up and shouts that he is just new in town. The Cogs are like ‘oooooh okay, yeah that was the second option’. The Cogs then explain how this town works now, they explain it through with a villain musical number too, but it's a bit off-key and ends very abruptly because most cogs don’t really like musicals lol which contrasts Mickey’s musical number at the beginning of the episode. It is explained that too much fun is prohibited, too much hope is prohibited, too many jokes are prohibited, toons need jobs and be mature and be more serious. That’s how things work and if he tries to do anything against that, there WILL be consequences.

This is a world where the cogs won against the toons not too long ago, they have taken over the town and toons have to follow rules or else they’d be punished. As mentioned before, cogs have found out that the hearts of toons is the source of their joy, hope and comedy, and taking it out would leave a toon empty and depressed, and not long after that there is a chance they could permanently die.

Now the question is, where does Mickey live, because the cogs were not informed of any new habitant. Mickey says that in toontown you can just move in and a house made for you will show up magically, but of course the cogs say that’s not how it works anymore, you need to pay for a house. Mickey CAN’T pay for that house. So he’s asked that whether he finds a solution or it’s better he leaves and go back to his old home

Mickey and Oswald get out of the building, Mickey looks around the town, the town he thought was going to be joyful and hopeful, and he starts to notice the misery all around it. He’s sad and sits down on a bus station. Oswald asks him what he’s going to do, Mickey says that he’s not sure. Oswald gives him a bunch of money to at least stay in a hotel, and advices that maybe he should just go back when he can. But Mickey tells him he really wants to be here, he wants to meet new people and he wants new people to meet him, he wants to call this place home. And whether the cogs are here or not, he wants to help, he wants to make people less miserable. Oswald is a bit surprised after hearing this, he asks Mickey that that’s nice but WHERE is he going to live. That stops Mickey for a second and he says he doesn’t know. Oswald takes a moment to think, and sighs, and tells Mickey he can live with him for a while. Mickey is shocked, he barely knows Oswald and Oswald doesn’t even seem to like him, but he’s overjoyed to hear this. The episode ends with Mickey and Oswald walking down the street, while everything seems sad and hopeless, there is a bit of spark coming from Oswald and Mickey’s banter. Maybe there is hope after all.”

Just had a very nice new au idea pop up in my head

Basically it’s sorta like the toontown au but mixed with bendy and the ink machine

Claire is the sort of Alice Angel in this (she gets to be a villain because I think she deserves that for once)

Clark and Brenda are sorta like borris and the other Alice

Hersh is somewhat similar to Henry but is not at the same time

Luke is sorta baby bendy

Basically Hershel stumbles upon this old studio (a studio where he used to work before his career shot off)

It’s extremely run down and most of the drawings are either destroyed or like barely surviving

But one, the one of his favourite toons he and his friend Randall created

Claire the angel.

She was everything a toon should be, a little zany but with a heart of gold her goal was to make everyone smile when they watched her on tv.

Until Randall decided to put her back in the drawers and never once did anyone hear about Claire the angel again.

No one never found out why Randall changed his mind, maybe it was the money and fame.

Until now, there in the studio he meets his old friends Clark and Brenda (somewhat half toons) who tell him that Claire had gone on a rampage after he had left dragging a half toonish Randall to the basement where she now resides

Along with an army of ink monsters who will kill on sight

There he notices that most of the posters of his toons are pretty much destroyed or just singed and have been replaced by Claire’s posters

She’s become obsessed with her looks and being number one and has now become what Brenda and Clark call the ink demon

A shell of the toon they once knew and loved.

It’s up to them and other lost toons to destroy her power or succumb to the ink themselves.

finally posting stuff about my silly little Disney toons thing! basically the idea is the toons are all made by Disney to live in this planned community (sort of like Celebration, Florida, in fact Celebration was like a prototype for this place) called Toontown of course! and this town is the most idyllic place there is, but it's actually all controlled by Disney. they're constantly monitoring the toons, even set up dangerous situations for them (called shenanigans) for publicity, and altogether control every aspect of their lives. its really sick! the broad strokes of the story are mickey is Having A Rough Time with all this but he's trying to just ignore it so he doesn't fully break down, donald and goofy are in a similar sitch though they both have their own things going on as well, minnie is totally innocent and cool (shes secretly a spy for Disney into the affairs of all the toons!! against her will though, she's been basically threatened into doing it), oswald is on a quest to find a way out of Toontown and save everyone from Disney (mickey had a breakdown on him when he first moved in to the place, and though they have a strained relationship as estranged brothers, he does truly care about him and so he's doing these really risky things for him), and then daisy who is doing similar stuff and occasionally collaborating with oswald but is generally on her own path of just fully trying to destroy and sabotage Disney to feel she has control of her life. so yeah!! thats miserable!! i love this story a lot and i draw little stuff for it all the time, so i'm glad i could finally make these references. expect more in the future hehe
