This is a very secluded spot in Kerala near River Periyar which is not known to many except the locals living nearby. This also happens to be the place where my mum use to come in her childhood days to visit her cousin's place whose back gate still opens towards the river - nothing less than a paradise! . On reaching the the place, I was welcomed by this view in the picture. I felt like it wasn't humans but the very mother nature who welcomed me into her arms. Sun rays kissing the crystal waters of Periyar and the sky glowing at the golden hour were a treat to my eyes. . This view holds a very special place in my heart as it reminds me of the beauty that my home state holds. It is here I realised that how I have so much to see and explore the unexplored. . I took my own sweet time to admire this beauty and ingrain this view in my memories knowing how luxurious this view is for people like us, living in metropolis. It was indeed a luxury which I couldn't afford living in Delhi or as a matter of fact, anywhere. . This picture stil takes my breath away, reminding me of the luxuries that money can't buy. Cape Coral Police Department Investigating Early Morning Traffic Fatality

DATE: June 17, 2020

TIME: 11:56 PM

LOCATION: 100 Diplomat Parkway W

CR#: 20-011079

ASSISTING THI: Officer Jeffrey Barkley

VEHICLE 1: Black, 2015, Jeep Cherokee, SUV, Florida Tag.

DRIVER 1: Daniel Alexander Rivera Gordon, W/M, of Cape Coral, Florida.

DRIVER 1: INJURIES: Rivera Gordon died as a result of the crash.

SYNOPSIS:

Vehicle 1 was observed by witnesses traveling westbound on Diplomat Parkway at a high rate of speed. Vehicle 1 continued through the intersection at Andalusia Boulevard without coming to a stopping for the stop sign. Vehicle 1 continued through the intersection at Santa Barbara Boulevard at a high rate of speed, without stopping for the stop sign. The driver of Vehicle 1 lost control and began to slide while rotating counterclockwise.

Vehicle 1 crossed the median then the eastbound travel lanes, heading westbound.. Vehicle 1 left the roadway and entered the empty field South of Diplomat Parkway. Vehicle 1 continued through the field, crossed NW 1st Avenue, then entered another field West of NW 1st Avenue. Vehicle 1 became airborne and traveled approximately 122 feet before making contact in the field nose first. Vehicle 1 flipped multiple times and continued to travelSouth-West through the field before crashing through the wood fence of 123 NW 15th Terrace, where it came final its rest in the back yard.

The driver was ejected from Vehicle 1 while it was rotatating. The Driver of Vehicle 1 was pronounced dead on scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

Cape Coral Police Department Traffic Homicide Investigators Wilson and Barkley responded to the scene.

VA Tucker was notified who made contact with the Next of Kin.

SPEED is determined to be a contributing factor in this crash. At this time, it is unknown if ALCOHOL of a factor.
