oh god. seeing the first page just reminded me of how horribly confused i was for this whole little arc the first time i read it. i was like ok, who are all these new characters, and also why does everyone look so similar

anyways now i now what's going on. i love first aid

love the running continuity of rung being the literal only psychologist on cybertron (except for fr*id but that's later). no wonder everyone's fucked up they all have to share a single therapist

ok i find it extremely funny that first aid was demoted from doctor to nurse, as if that's a thing that happens EVER - I mean it'd be one thing if first aid was a nurse practitioner (which i doubt is a position that exists here), at least that demotion would make sense, but like...the doctors i work with don't know how to do most nurse stuff (like BP, cathing, vaccinations, hell even using some of the thermometers - that's all stuff nurses/etc do), so demoting one to a nurse would be a disaster (just like promoting a really good nurse to a doctor would be a bad idea). anyways i know I'm being pedantic but it Be like that when you work in the medical field and read something that has medicine-related stuff in it

another important facet of pharma’s character becomes clear around this time as well - how he’s really into ratchet. i also choose to read them as awful exes tbh, it makes their dynamic even more entertaining

also, was killmaster even a character before mtmte? or, if he was, was he an important one? it would crack me up the most if he literally didn't exist at all, but any way you spin it is still funny

i love the pretty fucked up reveal of ratchet having stolen pharma’s hands. like, damn dude.

and that wraps up the delphi arc! our first true ‘arc’ of mtmte, and a fantastic one at that. short and snappy and fresh, with some very clever writing and cool new characters, and a lot of great plot threads to be picked up later. plus, we got to see the beginnings of drift and ratchet’s whole thing (and ratchet and pharmas whole thing). and the lost light gets some much needed extra medical staff, so everyone wins!

well, we’ll see how fort max feels about this all pretty soon.....

Best Television (Of the Things I Watched) 2018

IndieWire's Liz Miller put together a staggering list of all the television shows that aired this year, excluding most reality and children's programming, to help narrow down top ten lists. If you would like to view it and despair, you may do so by clicking here.

Per her list there were o/a 554 shows on television this annum. Stare into the gaping void of that number, and let it, in turn, stare back into you. Of the television shows on this list, I have seen, at least one episode, of 136 of them. Although I am not a "professional" television "critic" who "gets paid" to give opinions, I am a "television professional" who also writes about it as an "amateur" "hobby". What I'm really trying to say here is that I have never seen an episode of The Americans.

But what I'm REALLY trying to say is that I watch a lot of TV, and work in TV, and love TV and have only seen 25% of the shows currently on television (and yes, I had to Google how to do that math). 25%! That's a quarter! That's an F- -, that is a paltry drip in this vast ocean of content. How is anyone supposed to keep up with that! The only thing I keep up with are the Kardashians, and that show isn't even included on the list of 554 shows!

And so with the disclaimer that any true distillation and subsequent ranking of the current landscape of television is, for all intents and purposes, impossible- I present to you my picks for the best shows of 2018. Or perhaps more accurately ~*~my~*~ favorite shows, or the shows that brought me the most joy, or who managed to rise above the froth of the seething hoard of content, or shows I’d like you all to watch so we may talk about them.

Killing Eve - BBC America

Okay so forget everything I just said about the insurmountable tv landscape and the inability to make an accurate judgement of quality, because Killing Eve was the BEST show this year. Watching this show, the latest outing from Phoebe Waller-Bridge, felt like suddenly finding out you've been holding your breath your entire life and finally filling your lungs. Killing Eve is the show I have always wanted to watch, and yet could never have previously imagined being possible. It is a spy thriller that maintains a heady tension, it's a pitch black comedy, it's a love story, it's violent, it's stylish, it's sexy, and it's unapologetically female. I could write an entire blog about this show in regards to women's spaces, sexuality, violence, and the female gaze but there WAS other television this year that I GUESS you want to read about. Real quick: the music was amazing, the clothes were amazing, Jodie Comer has shamed all other psychopath performances, and Sandra Oh held this whole jumble together with a deeply grounded yet intimately vulnerable performance and that shit AIN'T EASY Y'ALL. Also this is on Hulu now....so....

The Terror - AMC

I can say without question that The Terror is the most enjoyable show I've ever seen about men rotting to death on a boat. AMC did a terrible (lol) job of advertising this gem of a series based on an 800 page novel, which itself is based on a real (doomed) expedition to find the Northwest Passage. Yes, the The Terror is about all the ways men can die (many!), but it was also easily the most aesthetically beautiful series I watched this year. Sure, it was scary and there were zombie polar bears, but it also created a subtle unease as delicate as it was unsettling. The natural world is unforgiving and unknowable, but is it more dangerous than what lies in the hearts of men? (Free tagline for you AMC) Everyone slept on this show like they were dying of hypothermia.

Queer Eye - Netflix

Imagine you're you, and you've had a really rough couple of years. I mean, the news is terrible, the planet is dying, and you're never going to be a homeowner. The only thing that brings you joy is lying listlessly on your couch playing cooking games on your phone and trying to pretend that you don't have to haul your corporeal form to work tomorrow. Suddenly, there is a knock on your (over-priced apartment's) door. Who could be visiting you here, at such an hour? Who is there left in the world that cares? You pull on a bathrobe and shuffle over, opening the door and blinking owlishly into outside world. Before you are five beautifully appointed men, they have gifts, salsa, bomber jackets, soft-silken hair, their energy is non-threatening. They join you on the couch and you cry in their toned arms for hours, for days, for weeks. For the first time in a long time you think maybe humanity is worth saving after all.

Sharp Objects - HBO

I have never fully boarded the Gillian Flynn train, my reaction to watching Gone Girl and reading Dark Places was "Oh...that's it?" So despite the creative heavy hitters (Marti Noxon, Marc-Jean Vallee, Amy Adams) attached, I had reservations about this HBO miniseries. On its surface Sharp Objects is another one of Flynn's lurid mysteries, but its on-screen adaptation created a fully realized world for this particular mystery to inhabit. A world that at turns felt stifling and magical, that oozed resentment, and pain, and fear. A world filled with women who had anger simmering under the skin, caught in their hands, trapped in their mouths. For once this wasn't a story where the twist was the final destination, but rather an inevitability of cruelty wrought on women by their world and by each other.

The Good Place - NBC

Everything on this list so far has been new series. Maybe that's because newness is more interesting, or maybe it's because goodness is hard to sustain. However everyone's favorite philosophy comedy just seems to be getting better and better the longer it goes on, continuing to invent itself from season to season, and even episode to episode. The Good Place is the only show that can make you a fan of Blake Bortles and also a genuinely better person.

Okay those were my five best shows of the year and now I'm tired. Here are some rapid fire honorable mentions!!!!

Honorable Mentions:

Barry (HBO)- The season finale didn't stick the landing for me, but I can assure you Barry’s actor struggle was documentary-level. Cannot speak for hitman authenticity.....publicly...

GLOW S2 (Netflix) - Improving on the promise of its first season, GLOW can sometimes be a bit messy in delivery but I admire their go big or go home attitude. This season dealt with workplace sexual harassment, parenthood, the AIDs crisis, race, and even had time for a lesbian dream ballet and an anti-kidnapping PSA. Betty Gilpin forever.

Doctor Who (BBC America) - Jodie Whittaker is a sheer delight as the Doctor, and a breath of fresh air for the series. This new season has also taken the back-in-time episodes (always my fav) to a new level- I LEARNED STUFF.

Aggretsuko (Netflix) - Aggretsuko is a Sanrio anime about a red panda named Retsuko. She is 25, she works in an office for a sexist pig boss, she hates her life, and at night she sings death metal karaoke. She is....extremely relatable. Sam please watch this.

The Magicians S3 (SyFy)- I may be biased, but at the same time, I have always loved The Magicians. This is another rare show that gets better the longer it goes on, having carved out a strange little genre space with a tone all of its own. Within the forest of snappy quips and surly fantasy characters, is a beating heart and an ability to achieve real emotional catharsis.

The Haunting of Hill House (Netflix) - I said earlier this year that I had never found a television show truly scary, but this was before I had seen Haunting of Hill House. I have not yet finished this show because it started giving me nightmares and I can only watch it in the light of day. That being said, the Bent-Neck Lady episode alone is such a tight, terrifying, piece of storytelling it deserves a shout out on this list. Also A+ kid casting, that shit is HARD.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC) Probably the time I felt most alive this year were the harrowing hours between Brooklyn 99's cancellation by Fox and subsequent saving by NBC. During that wretched purgatory it was decided by the internet that B99 was the Last Good and Pure Thing Left and its salvation would mark some sort of victory in the losing battle against the darkness that will one day overtake us all. Luckily, the day was saved (no thanks to Fox), but the abyss still looms.

282.514?! That’s... a lot? haha. I’m gonna substract 75k tho, that’s the spanish version of one of my fics, doesn’t count. Still surprised lol.

How often do you write?

I try to write everyday, but I fail miserably. I wish it was because I’m tired, but instead I’m just procrastinating and utterly uninspired, currently coming out of a heavy slump. In my good times though, I used to write sacredly on weekends.

Do you have a routine for writing?

Sit, open doc, stare at it, then minimize it to NOT look at it, go on tumblr, go on twitter, open doc, stare at it, WRITE ONE WORD, then minimize it... repeat ad infinitum.

(That’s why my word count surprises me. Guess it’s all thanks to those times I pick my laptop and go outside to write. Also since I have twitter I’ve been getting better at the procrastination game lmao).

What’s your favorite kinks/tropes/pairing?

Pairings, I think klance is a rarepair and deserves more recognition... LMAOOO. Nah, no matter how overcrowded it is, they are my favs, followed closely by shatt. The only reason I write less shatt it’s because it’s harder for me to grasp their personalities, I swear.

I’m actually quite new (considering my age) to the fanfiction community, even as a reader. I used to read only canon-verse things until not so long ago, and therefore I tend to write only canon-verse things too (I started writing for Voltron because the canon is so open! Yey for space!). But since that’s getting boring, I started looking into AUs and even though I’m TERRIBLE at them, as a reader I enjoy the dark AUs? Crime, war, jail, spies... that kind of thing.

As a writer I started integrating some wacky tropes too! Into canonverse tho, gosh I’m obstinate lol, but I’m trying to play more with those, I really liked soulmates, also I’m liking body swap, I wanna try more (send me prompts any time and help a sister with that, wink wink). Still, you can’t catch me writing a coffee shop AU in this life, probably, but uh never say never as that canadian sage once said.

Oh, the kinks... as a writer I guess it’s zero, since I don’t write smut (T_T).

Do you have a favorite fic of yours?

Wow you mean the one I cringe less while re-reading? Lol you know what, when they say your favs never get popular it’s true! Tbh I like a lot my oldie shatt fic One kiss for each piece but I think the poorly written smut (first and last try at that ugh) drove people away and I cringe a bit at it, but it has a place in my heart because it’s my first shatt one and Matt is very supportive there and I love him lol. Second, I’ve only written ONE lotura called Oh! Darling and it’s the sweetest thing that my brain has come up with, and I truly dig it too? Cheesy af but still!

I’m also really liking my current klance work, that’s you in the mirror, but I still don’t know if I’ll be able to make it land where I want to, it’s my therapy fic for the slump and it’s... in the works. It could become my fav tho.

Your fic with the most kudos?

fake, not fate -- I remember being so inspired and fired up for this one, I guess it shows.

Anything you don’t like about your writing?

For starters I never know if my writing is compatible with the English prose, I never studied anything regarding literature (not even in my native language), so I can’t really compare Eng and Spanish proses and I’m just... playing by ear? Hoping for the best? I always fear someone will comment “you fucking illiterate learn to structure a phrase” and I’ll have to yeet myself into oblivion. Also I have heavy problems to cut and edit myself. I write long-ass paragraphs that I know ARE WRONG but still find myself unable to reword/edit/cut it and it’s infuriating lol. Luckily now I have some help, @kunfetti has been so kind to me, reading my uglies before they see the light... thank you, ily!

OH, also... italics abuse. I can’t control it. Really can’t.

Now something you do like?

Geez, I guess there’s something I have to like given that word count lolol... I think I have good ideas, sadly the best ones are currently unfinished. Uhm, guess I have a good grasp of the plot bunnies, I try to make the reader feel in a full circle after they finish, and I’ve been told that I can truly write IC which is the highest compliment to me, because I have to rewatch VLD in english to remember how they speak lol. I hope I can do the same when I write for another fandom.

Mandalorian questions game

Here’s my answers for the Mandalorian questions game made by @ spoiler4you on Twitter! I’m doing them over here on Tumblr so I don’t have to worry about the character count. 1: How and when did you become a fan of the show? I’ve been a fan of Star Wars since 2015, but despite this I was really sceptical on whether or not I’d actually like the Mandalorian when the first trailer dropped since I wasn’t really liking the direction the sequel trilogy was taking. But then Chapter 1 released and the entire internet exploded overnight over that Baby Yoda reveal. That’s when I knew that I had to check this show out for myself. I didn’t actually get to see season 1 until it was only a month away from season 2′s release date but it was well worth the wait. And now here I am with the show living rent free in my mind constantly.

2: Who’s your favourite character? Is it a cop out if I say Grogu? But I also love Din, the Armorer and the return of Bo-Katan, Ahsoka and Boba Fett. (I actually didn’t get the appeal of Boba until his reintroduction in season 2 and now I can see why everybody likes him so much)

3: What’s your favourite season (so far)? Season 2! I know some people didn’t like how fan servicey it was, but I’m weak for that kind of shit. Season 1 is still just as good though.

4: What’s your favourite scene from each season? Season 1: I’d have to say the scene where Din earns his Mudhorn signet in chapter 8. Couldn’t tell you why, I just think it was a really neat moment. Season 2: The goodbye scene in chapter 16. Need I say more? (For real though, season 2 had so many great moments that it’ll be difficult for me to choose)

5: What’s your favourite episode (so far)? Chapter 15 The Believer! I was on the edge of my seat (well, my bed lol) the entire time that I’m honestly surprised I didn’t come crashing down onto the floor. I could honestly talk all day about the scene where Din has to remove his helmet in order for the machine to scan his face and just how well Pedro managed to portray the anxiety and sheer discomfort Din must have been feeling in that scene. Also, the little details of Din having to move his entire head to survey his surroundings or to glance at other people? Chiefs kiss 👌 Uggh this episode is so good!

6: FAVOURITE DIN AND GROGU MOMENT: Why must you make me choose? Apart from the obvious goodbye scene in chapter 16, I’m going to say the scene in chapter 12 The Siege where Grogu is trying to swap the two coloured wires and his tiny baby brain can’t comprehend what the hell he’s supposed to do, but Din is so patient with him? Makes me ugly laugh every single time.

7: FAVOURITE DIN MOMENT: I’m just going to say the entirety of chapter 15 The Believer and call it a day lol

8: FAVOURITE GROGU MOMENT: The blue cookie scene in chapter 12. Him begging the kid for the cookies and then taking it anyway, to him waving his hands in the air and throwing them back up. It doesn’t matter. Just Grogu with his blue cookies. A truly iconic moment.

9: The scene that made you cry the most: I think I speak for all of us when I say the goodbye scene. It’s the only time Star Wars has ever made me cry and I’ll never forgive Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for that.

10: The scene that made you the most hyped: When Din tries to give Bo-Katan the Darksaber back and Moff Gideon’s just sat there with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face, taunting her. I was honestly waiting for her to slap the shit out of him right then and there.

11: Moment you’d like to see most in upcoming seasons: 👏 VILLIAN 👏 BO-KATAN 👏 That bitch is mad she hasn’t got her Darksaber back and the rights to the throne. I’d also like to see King Din of course. BUT, I’d like to see him struggle to fit into the role, none of this ‘he’s so good at his job and he’s only been King for half a day bullshit’ let’s see him not have a clue what he’s doing and watch him grow into a better king, just like with his father role to Grogu. This could also lead into the villain Bo-Katan subplot as this makes her even angrier that she isn’t Queen, and are now stuck with this pathetic King. And then a reunion scene with Din and Grogu, but only at the end of the season. Make it a cliff-hanger to lead into season 4 or something, let’s have their separation be meaningful to the audience as well.

12: Favourite camo role in season 2: Bo-Katan. Now that I’ve watched the Clone Wars and making my way through Rebels, her first appearance to live action has a much bigger impact on me now. Ahsoka’s too.

13: Star Wars movie character you’d like to see in season 3: Honestly? I guess Chewie, only for the fact that the Jawa’s said that Din’s Jawaese sounded like a Wookie and now I want to see Din talk Shyriiwook.

14: Animated character you’d like to see in live action for season 3: Any of the main cast of Rebels characters. I say any as I’ve only seen the first two seasons so far and I don’t know if any of them d-word’s at the end of the series. I know Ezra’s already been rumoured for supposedly the Ahsoka series so I think Sabine would be a nice fit here since I know she also once wielded the Darksaber.

15: What do you think is the most underrated episode? 👀 I’d say Sanctuary as I’ve heard lots of people calling it the weakest episode of the series. I personally really enjoyed it.

16: What do you think is the most overrated episode? 👀 Don’t crucify me for saying this but I’d say The Gunslinger. I often forget about it’s existence, I’m so sorry 😂 And it’s not even my least favourite episode!

17: Given the chance, what would you change from the previous seasons? I honestly have no idea lmao. I guess have some more random scenes of showing Din and Grogu bonding? Let’s have some cute father and son moments please.

18: Favourite Mandalorian/Grogu merch that you own? My Grogu plushie

19: Favourite behind the scenes fact: It honestly boggles my mind that most of the scenery and environments are behind a green screen and needs to be drawn/animated in? Like, they all look gorgeous.

20: Favourite actor/actress from the cast: Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze.

21: Favourite fandom moment: Not sure what this means but I guess all of us losing our absolute shit because we were afraid something awful happened to Grogu in chapter 15 since we didn’t get to see him, not even as a prisoner. That was a terrifying week lol. (Despite us getting a banger of an episode)

22: SEASON 3 PREDICTIONS (I’m excited to know what y’all think!!) I think I’ve basically already answered this in question 11, but to save you guys the trouble of scrolling all the way back up here’s a very basic rundown of what I think will happen in season 3: Villain Bo-Katan A struggling King Djarin Din and Grogu reuniting at the end of the season as a cliff-hanger for the opening in season 4.

23: ((Take this time to appreciate and tag some of your fav Mando moots)) Not gonna tag anyone as I don’t know anyone over here lol, but I’d love to see some of your guys answers! A massive shout-out to all the fanfic writers, fan artists and video makers out there who create for this fandom. The Mysterious Mr. Ocean

Frank Ocean, a man who is talented enough to decline Kanye West's offer to help write one of his albums, was born October 28, 1987 in Long Beach California. Shortly after, he moved to New Orleans and lived there till he was 18 years-old. His father left his family when Ocean was 6 years-old, he was very close with his mother. Each of these elements have a definitive impact on his work. Ocean has built a career creating meaningful music full of raw and real emotion. Unlike many current artists, his focus has always been on his music and not on his public persona. This divergence from what may be seen as the norm among popular artists has led to him often being labeled as being misleading and mysterious.

Frank began his career composing for other people. He wrote songs for Justin Bieber, Beyonce, John Legend and many more. After a while he became too comfortable with his life and decided to join a hip hop collective “Odd Future.” This led to him getting his own contract with Def Jams Records. Ocean released his first mixtape in 2011, it was titled Nostalgia Ultra. This album was Frank’s first big push to stardom. Rollings Stone wrote that he was a, “gifted avant-R&B smoothie”. After Ocean toured with Odd Future, Def Jams wanted to re-release Nostalgia, Ultra as an EP. The song “Novacane” was released as a single, but the rest of the album was delayed, a common theme that has continued throughout Frank’s career. As Frank Ocean’s relationship with Def jams became rocky, they never released Nostalgia Ultra again. Because of this, the music from this album is not easily found and remains on the mixtape he released himself. Throughout all of this turmoil, Frank Ocean stayed out of the public eye. While it is commonplace for artists to publicly criticise record companies and their disputes with them, Ocean remained silent. His absence from media causes him to be seen as rather mysterious, yet this is simply because he cares about his music and he wants the focus directed on it and not on him.

In the few interviews with which Frank Ocean has been involved, he is often questioned about why people don't know much about him and why he stays out of the limelight. In his interview with Hot 97, Angie Martinez asked him,

“Why don't I know much about you Frank?” Frank: “I don’t know that’s just umm that's just my personality” Angie: “Is that on purpose, are you going for international man of mystery?” Frank: “I'm not even going for it it just kinda, kinda how it is” Angie: “You don’t really, I mean I know you live in LA but your vibes aren't giving me LA” Frank: “What are they giving you Angie” Angie: “I dont know it's very confusing to me its international man of mystery Frank Ocean”.

Frank Ocean has been an artist who for the most part keeps to himself. In this day and age that doesn’t really happen and for many people it is very confusing and odd to them. This makes Frank different, another thing Frank does that is different is how many times he has been misleading about new music. “Ocean announced he was working on a second album in 2013, but he's kept the music so deeply hidden that even Adele has expressed frustration. Yes, that Adele. "I'm just f***ing waiting for Frank f***ing Ocean to come out with his album," she told Rolling Stone in November 2015. "It's taking so f***ing long." Ocean's followers once found hope when a cryptic image of a library due date card appeared on his site. The date on the card was July 2016 with a photo caption that read "BOYS DON'T CRY #JULY 2016." Ocean's followers speculated on social media that the posting referred to the new album's title and release date.” In the end an album named “Boys Don't Cry,” was never released, and nothing happened during July of 2016. This wasn't the last time Frank had been misleading about release dates and projects. The question people always ask is why?

Frank Ocean has talked about this feeling he gets when he makes the right music, and I don't think Frank will release anything if he doesn't feel right about it. When talking about his music Frank once said, “They are just cords, just Melodys. I don't know what combinations of those objects make me feel how I need to feel but I know precisely the feeling that needs to happen” Frank Ocean knows this feeling he gets when he makes his music but I also think he knows the feelings that other people have when listening to his music. For example, there is a video of Frank singing “Self Control”, one of his best and most beautiful songs, the video in 1 day already has 80.4K favs of twitter and 41.K retweets. The reason people like this video and this song so much is the feeling behind it. This songs gives people and I assume himself, that feeling that he talks about. Frank Ocean isn’t willing to be pressured into releasing music simply because a date has been determined that the music should be ready. If Frank is missing the special feeling he gets from his music he won't release it until l he feels it's perfect. I don’t believe he is intentionally being misleading, rather he refuses to release music until he feels it is ready.

Another reason people speculate that Frank Ocean acts like he does is because he's following after the very popular artist, Prince. Frank Ocean has always been a huge fan of Prince, Ocean once said on his tumbler,

“HE WAS A STRAIGHT BLACK MAN WHO PLAYED HIS FIRST TELEVISED SET IN BIKINI BOTTOMS AND KNEE HIGH HEELED BOOTS, EPIC. HE MADE ME FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH HOW I IDENTIFY SEXUALLY SIMPLY BY HIS DISPLAY OF FREEDOM FROM AND IRREVERENCE FOR OBVIOUSLY ARCHAIC IDEAS LIKE GENDER CONFORMITY ETC” (bold in original).

Because Frank Ocean is a bi-sexual black man, he is part of the minority in his R&B genre of music. Prince was a man who Frank really looked up to because he was always new, different are really himself. In an article written by Sean McPherson he said, “in Blonde I hear Frank walking around the space Prince created with a curiosity and detached, journalistic eye that can only come when someone else did the work of clearing the way”. But is this the only way Prince inspired Frank? After Prince’s death, his friends and family began to find an abundance of music that he never released, enough music for multiple albums, is Frank doing the same thing? Frank has had many times where he said he would release something but didn't. Some people think it’s because he just didn't make the music but I don’t think that’s the reasoning. I think that Frank did make all the music he said he would, he just wont release it. But why? Frank Ocean might not have released this music because he wants what he puts out to the people to be perfect and he might not think this unreleased music is up to par with the rest.

Many people might say that the reason that Frank Ocean does what he does is because he just wants to troll his fans, that he really enjoys tricking them. That he loves the fact that not only his fans but also famous people just wait and wait and wait for his new music to come out. So is that why Frank Takes so long to release new music? Just to torture us? Of course not! Its because Frank Ocean is an artist who truly cares about the product he puts out. In each and everyone one of his songs there is so much detail, so much double meanings and it doesn't stop there. Every song is placed in a specific part of the album and every album has so much overlying meaning throughout the whole things. When talking about Franks music Trevor Noah said, “Frank Ocean makes me feel like my senses have been dulled all my life and only now I'm experiencing things for the first time. #Blonde”. Cole Cuchna, creator of the “Dissect” podcasts, said when talking about Frank, “His meticulousness is pretty notorious in the industry and that really translates to his music. The stories that he’s telling on Channel Orange are so beautiful, deep and meaningful...and really thought through” I could add more quotes from people but you get the point, Oceans is an amazing artist who isn't here to troll his fans and the world, he just wants to make sure the music that he is giving the world is the best music that he can make.

In conclusion, Frank Ocean has a knack for music. He consistently creates and releases music that moves his listeners in positive and influential ways. Many artists nowadays make music that doesn’t have much meaning and they do it just for the money and stardom. Frank is different. He writes and performs his music from his heart and you can feel his emotion when you listen. It’s not just me that feels this way. Many artists that have been at the top of the music industry for years now are constantly featuring Frank in their songs. Artists like Kanye West, Jay-Z, and many others. Many artists will release multiple albums in a year and the songs in the albums don’t have a lot of content in them. They release them because they want the money that comes with them. Frank isn’t like most artists. He takes his time to release top of-the-line music that really creates strong emotions to those that listen. He truly cares about his art and it shows. Frank was a huge fan of Prince. You can see the similarities in their style and tone. You might even say that Prince was an idol of Frank’s. Prince was a man that didn’t pay much attention to the opinions and thoughts of others. He did what he felt was right and didn’t let others influence his musical decisions. Frank took that lesson that he learned from Prince to heart and you can see that Frank has the same type of mindset. He lives the same way that Prince lived and you can see the same beliefs in his music. I think we can all take after Frank, he is unapologetically himself, something we could all work on. He takes his passions and magnifies it to the highest degree. He does what he wants to do and does not let the people or the industry around him affect how he lives his life. Cole Cuchna said, “I don’t know if he’s searching for perfection, but he’s searching for a level of perfection that is personal to him. He’s searching for a feeling and an emotion and he’s not going to compromise until it’s perfect to him” In life we should all be searching for our own personal perfection and in doing so I think we can all produce, not just art but in all parts of our lives something that we are proud of.
