everything about this scene is just so... whoa.

clover acting like the adult here, assuring ceroba they'd be fine when nothing about any of this really is fine in the slightest.

clover putting on a brave face, trying so hard to look okay, standing tall and barely flinching. kind of like they were stubbornly trying to prove to themself and show ceroba this was no big deal at all. absolutely nothing to worry about!

but the split second ceroba's pixels were off screen, they crumbled. likely, unable to keep the farce up for much longer. the soul extraction was probably so draining and painful given it wasn't an instant death type of procedure.

maaan i feel sick just thinking about the toll it mustve taken on their tiny body. my sweet clover T—T

the fact they also waited til none of their friends were there was literally so thoughtful– too thoughtful. i cant i love them so much

Doomed by the Narrative.

OKAY so I've been wanting to use this color palette for a while now, and I just remembered it a few days ago, right? And when I was thinking about it, I thought it would be perfect for Clover because. Y'know. They're doomed by the narrative.

I think I like the first one a bit more than the alt version, but I like the alt version as well because you can see more of Clover. Either way, I'm really really REALLY happy with how it came out.

Let's take "justice is blind" way too literally

What if Clover was blind the entire time and got around with the assistance of Flowey (and maybe others)

They didn't fall into the underground, some asshole pushed them into it

It takes a few runs for Flowey to realize they are unironically blind

Flowey now helps Clover get through the underground and is now either forced to socialize or have to push things around to meet standards

After getting bored of Clover just living with Toriel all the time, intervention occurs and now they're in the dark ruins

Things would play out as usual with Flowey being on Clover until they're at Dalv's place. At that point, Flowey leaves temporarily and pushes Clover to beat Dalv. This can go 2 ways. 1. This would end up teaching Flowey what patience is and take a while until Dalv finally spares Clover or gets spared

Or

2. Dalv realizes quick that Clover is blind and spares them immediately, not wanting to hurt them anymore.

Either way Dalv gets accquainted with Clover and after a bit, he helps them leave the place and venture into Snowdin. Unfortunately Dalv probably has agoraphobia so Clover is now alone

More later (likely never, i am bad at remembering)

Temporarily coining this AU "Blind Clover" since it gets the point across and I am not creative. Alternatively "Justice is blind" could be used but it's likely used for many other things prior

Clover and their family in my Shattered Soul AU.

Ceroba, Starlo, and Martlet ended up living together on the Surface. Martlet ended up taking care of her brother, Berdly, so he lives with them as well. Kanako and Berdly are like siblings to Clover. Clover and Kanako are the older two, while Berdly is younger, closer to Frisk in age. Martlet takes up the older sister role for the three of them.
