kinda thinking about the relevance of the villains’ crimes and how widely they were broadcasted after Sly put an end to them. like, creating an army of the undead must’ve at least been global news, come on. i doubt the ones that took place in like very secluded areas would become news like Clockwerk, Neyla, Mask of Dark Earth, but like Don Octavio blowing up Venice or the Black Baron reveal would 100% be front-page news everywhere. that’s the difference between the villains in the final game and the rest: the Sly 1 and 2 baddies were underlings with side-hustles, which like could be dealt with very privately, like no one would even care if Bison got his ass handed to him in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. but in Sly 3 the villains were just straight-up pulling off crimes in public like so you literally don’t give a fuck ?

if the games took place today, people would defo go fucking nuts over the Contessa. like you wouldn’t be able to escape tiktoks about her and her backstory, and then Netflix would make a true crime docuseries about her and how she might’ve murdered her husband (titled Spider King or whatever never watched that shit). did barbenheimer today, fun time all around but not what I expected! 💖🖤

oppenheimer was first, and my god!! christopher really pulled it off. wow. cillian murphy is turned inside out as oppenheimer. his guilt-fear-adoration-terror-awe like a wheel, round and round. you're there with him the entire way, you see the lead up and the drop, the lightning of success and the thunder that always comes after. the sound design in this film is utterly magnificent, I can barely describe it. it's said that all art aspires to the condition of music, and you feel it so much here - you don't hear the bomb go off, you feel those atoms split apart. insane. points deducted for name-dropping JFK like he's about to be in the next avengers movie 8/10

barbie was fun to look at but became sort of boring as time went on, much like the doll itself. they were trying to do a feminist thing in here but including the victimisation of men by way of the patriarchy in the meantime, which theoretically sounds cool but was executed awkwardly. that and a finer delineation between barbieland and "the real world" was needed to make barbie's journey to becoming human more meaningful. I also feel like the message would've been more powerful if barbie had bonded to an actual child, or if america ferrera's character had a clearer arc. and I'm not sure wtf will ferrell as ceo was supposed to be as a concept, like were we meant to mock him or pity him. very much like ken. pretty sets though 5/10

Now since those developers or producers are self-proclamed emancipators we immediately find out that skimpy clothing is empowering and women should not be ashamed. While not correcting or critisising the hanful error ways their system abused and bossed around women's apperance and wardrobe. Also yup adding more to lusting offence and unadressed predatory acting.

§4 trigger femnazis (in order to)- they are always dissatisfyed, complayining, sensituve and ruining ev3rything for us. We would especially do that to make they upset, scilent and ashamed of themselves even more.
