After The Wonder Years we headed back to the main stage for a trio of bands. AFI, Jimmy Eat World, and Taking Back Sunday. I was never a fan of AFI so no comments there. But catching their set allowed me to get a decent spot for Jimmy Eat World.

With these shorter festival sets, bands pretty much have to play "the hits" so I was happily surprised to get "For Me This is Heaven" and "23". I had a good crowd around me who sang along & enjoyed (tolerated?) my commentary such as "that's the Futures guitar. When Jim uses that guitar it will definitely be a song from Futures." Also, nothing beats ending a set with "Sweetness" and "The Middle" so the emo singalong was pretty amaze!

Next up was The Wonder Years, who played one of the side stages but still had a pretty big crowd for early in the day. Touring fresh off their new album release, I was hoping for some new songs and I wasn't disappointed.

I feel like I get this band so much better now that I live in Philly. This set was energetic and the crowd was really into it. Quite a contrast from when I saw them in New Orleans at HOB where the crowd was sparse and bored. The new songs sound great and I loved getting "There, There".
