the thing that is so messed up (i mean aside from the obvious, mickey getting hit), is that ian spent SEASONS trying to get mickey to open up to him and it was a huge source of pain for him that mickey couldn't. so when he finally gets there after struggling so much with himself, ian punches him for it?? like i'd get ian not wanting to be treated differently, but this just doesn't mesh.

i totally agree. the only thing about it that would end up making it meaningful is the boys’ acting ‘cause they always do so well with making me cry like a baby. but the dying’s so old.

for sure like the boys’ acting is the only reason that that trope is any good anymore but even now i’m like i’m ready for them to end it like ...with the brothers fighting back instead of losing to this big dark battle again.
