i haven't been back to the dentist in like two years because i know he's gonna tell me to eat less sugar and i just don't have it in me to pretend i agree. we've had teeth and sugar for a bajillion years, surely it's on you guys to figure that one out at this point. i won't stop. i won't. oreos after dinner are a human right!!! 😡

I got my wisdom teeth out two days ago and the highlight was trying to act normal when I was very clearly still impacted by anesthesia. I could think clearly but everything was out of wack so it threw me off:

-I tried having a normal conversation with the nurse and I was flabbergasted because she understood what I was saying even though I sounded like a 2 year old (I'm terrified knowing that I could have said something inappropriate without remembering it)

- I was talking to one of the nurses and I couldn't feel my face so I touched my face and told her that I felt like I had Kim K lips. I'm pretty sure I stuck my tongue out and started touching it because it was so numb

-They took out my IV but left my heart rate monitor on so I waved my finger at them and started dozing off when they started teasing eachother about who left it on

-I couldn't see straight with both eyes open so I stared at the nurses with one eye closed and I kept alternating eyes. One of the nurses looked at me from the doorway and I think I stared at her for like 30 seconds without blinking

-I was convinced I could walk normally but I almost fell asleep when they put me in a wheelchair

-My parents wouldn't let me walk up the stairs on my own (thankfully) because I would have immediately ragdolled my way down them again.

-I was very thirsty because I hadn't drank anything for over 6 hours. They handed me a giant shirt with their logo on it and I got really excited because free shirt, but really sad because I wanted a little waterbottle

-I would stare into space for what felt like 4 hours between saying something, but on video it was just a few seconds before I moved on to the next topic

-I tried telling my Mom how funny I felt because I swear I was seeing kaleidoscope images and all I could get out was "I feel goofy"

hi anon! First off, oof, good luck with your widsom teeth! I had mine done in October ish so I'll put some unsolicited advice under a cut (in case you want to skip it lol)

some of my faaaavorite fics (and I'm sure I'll forget some):

@neutron-stars-collision 's Waiting for the Night is set just before and during the events of the film and I love it--it's ongoing but very close to completion and has the best angst/ idiots to lovers plot

@punchdrunkdoc has a brilliant slow burn with an OC that I adore (I know a lot of people prefer reader insert but trust me, this fic is amazing!) Just Breathe is definitely a permanent favorite

@whats-rambled-rambled has a mini series that I still reread because it's so beautiful, it starts with the one called the way down! (which btw is a song I became obsessed with because of this fic, and I still listen to it on the regular)

@devilfic has an ongoing series I'm obsessed with called right place, right time

@zipperzoo my bestie has an ongoing series (on hiatus but still worth checking out!) called fight to make it up and honestly it's hilarious and fun and the right amount of angst

now for unsolicited wisdom teeth advice!

for me, it just...sucked for a while. However! Icing it every 20-30 minutes for the first day or two definitely helped with the pain. I also slept propped up because laying on my side or all the way flat made my whole head hurt for some reason

make sure to take breaks icing it! Also, don't ice it past day 2.

Take your medications! I only used the hardcore pain meds for maybe day 1 and 2 and then switched to only taking it at night but taking a shit ton of ibuprofen during the day--that's just personal preference though because the pain meds made me feel too drowsy (100% listen to the surgeon's advice on this though!)

do not use a fucking straw for at least a week. DO NOT USE A STRAW. I'm sure they told you this but seriously....don't do it. Even when you start to feel better in a few days don't do it, give your mouth time to heal over! Listen to the instructions on this for sure!! I'm a bit anal with this stuff so I actually avoided a straw for a month lmao but whatever timeline they give you, stick to that, minimum

Don't forget to brush your teeth. It will hurt the first few days but you have to keep your mouth clean!

And last but not least unless I randomly remember something: hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. You won't be eating much for a few days so water is your new best friend to stay alive. Also it'll help with healing. Get a big ass cup and refill it often, trust me on this

One of the only people irl who knows I'm trans is my ex girlfriend and this fact haunts me

I have recurring dreams where I have a white cat and then something kills him

In dreams I generally have no strong emotional response to murder and will solve all my problems with murder

My mom does not remember the time I tried to come out as trans

My least favourite field of biology is botany

i’ve had several teeth pulled + my wisdom teeth and if you’re getting anesthesia, it’s really not too bad. tho, when i had some additional teeth pulled, the numbing agent didn’t kick in yet so it hurt like a bitch, so just make sure that you’re fully numb and/or under anesthesia before they start pulling

Saturn Return

I've been so inactive recently, just being a lazy bum really, and the past week I've woken up with the worst knee and ankle pain. My google PHD says osteoarthritis which has to do with knee fluid and.. like.. are you kidding me??

Obviously I just need to start walking around more, but my saturn return starts in March, so Saturn(hard lessons) in Pisces(feet, knees, fluid) in my 1st house(physical body).

Also, I'm 85% sure that my wisdom teeth are starting to come in at the ripe old age of 27! Saturn(bones) Return(widsom??). I've been looking at clinics in Mexico since I live in dumbass Texas, but goddamn can the astrology not astrolagate sometimes?
