Hi! I was just googling about worldshopping and ur review on here came up where u said it didn’t email you when the package had arrived at their warehouse etc. so I was just wondering how long after they had said they’d bought it, that it actually arrived? Because I haven’t had confirmation saying it’s at the warehouse yet so maybe has but I just haven’t been told so yeah how long did it take for your package to arrive after u ordered. Sorry for the long question. Thanks!
Hi there anon!
Tumblr media
Hmmmm...I kinda doubt we ordered under the same circumstances so please keep in that that whatever happened in my case does not necessarily apply to your case.
My purchase was a preorder item (an album that was scheduled to be released on December 9 2020). Brand new items typically arrive very quickly in Japan once they are released because companies often send them a little early so they arrive in time for the actual release date. I used the WorldShopping service quite early in advance to make my purchase. I just checked my mails and it seems like I made the initial order with them at the end of October 2020. I got a reply almost instantly and then they proceeded to finalise the order. On October 22, I received a purchase confirmation (including an order tracking link). Then nothing happened for a very long time. Once the album had been released on the 9th and a couple days went by, I began to worry. In my experience, it doesn't take more than a day or two for items to be registered at the warehouse of a proxy service (at least that was always the case with Tenso and Buyee). On December 14, I was ready to make an inquiry. But then I decided to check the tracking link just to make sure and voilà, it turned out that the CD had already arrived at their warehouse the previous day (I have no idea why I wasn't notified). So all in all, it took a few extra days but it definitely wasn't an eternity. It just sucks that I actually had to check the link to find out about it. I recommend you do the same. Just check the link on a regular basis. And maybe try to find out the standard shipping duration for the item you purchased via proxy (there is usually some info about that somewhere on the product page).
So yeah, that's my little story. Hopefully it was helpful. Fingers crossed your package arrives soon!

Website update
An update regarding the KOKIAfans blog: I have updated the discography page after KOKIA's announcement of digital releases for vol. 3 and 4 of her animal CDs. The physical releases are now sorted under the 'Special releases' category, as I had done with the first two volumes. The digital releases are listed as albums, with the original release date mentioned.
KOKIA previously announced the animal CDs would likely not return as physical releases after running out of stock, but they did return at least for the moment, so I'm not sure what her current stance is. That was the reason for my earlier decision to move them to the special releases category. If anyone has different ideas on how to handle this, feel free to let me know!
Tumblr media
I have also updated the title translations, as it turns out the full track titles of volume 3 were slightly different in some cases than initially listed. There were no full track titles for volume 4 online at all, so I only had the animal names for those. However, I now have the physical releases myself after purchasing both albums via her official webshop, making use of the service Worldshopping (banner automatically added for international visitors). My review of the service is under the read more link (overall positive).
I hope this means I can start translating some new songs in the not so distant future, but unfortunately, I still cannot make any promises.
My experience after two orders is that the Worldshopping service is fast and the packaging is well done. The animal CDs are not in plastic cases, but rather cardboard, but no harm came to them in shipping, and the box was clearly marked as having fragile content.
Worldshopping does ask for a fee to place the order for you, and the additional international shipping from Japan can get rather expensive. Service wise it gets my recommendation, but I would still like to warn you for those additional costs. I've seen negative reviews based solely on those costs, as people were unaware they'd have to pay for shipping twice (domestic and international). Worldshopping does tell you this, but apparently it's not always clear to everyone.
The process went as follows, with the timeline of my latest order between parentheses:
I place my order via the 'Add to cart' banner under each product. I pay Worldshopping a combined fee for the products, domestic shipping and service fee upon checkout;
Worldshopping then places the order on the webshop and sends me a confirmation of having done so (almost immediate, same day). Without an account, you receive a link by mail to a page from which you can keep track of your order;
Worldshopping receives the order and prepares it for overseas shipping (3 business days for the order to arrive at their warehouse);
Worldshopping sends a bill for overseas shipping, giving me a storage deadline of one full business week;
I pay Worldshopping for overseas shipping and Worldshopping sends the package to my address (I paid after business hours in Japan, my order was shipped the following business day);
Worldshopping ships the package overseas (arrival at customs in the Netherlands after 3 business days);
I have to pay customs to get the packaging shipped to my address, although that is no longer within Worldshopping's domain. It is still an additional cost to be aware of.
And there you have it! I'm by no means an expert, but if you have any questions about the service not answered above, I might be able to help you now.

hey I was wondering if you live in Europe or USA ? And how you buy (if you do) the merchandise from Japan or Asia in general ?
I live in the UK! I mainly use buyee to buy stuff from Japan (from sites like mercari and rakuten). Like pretty much every proxy shopping site you have to pay a lil additional fee and the shipping will always be more expensive than domestic ofc but it's reliable.

There is a new POP-UP Shop opening from Feb 1 - 29th. It's in-person-only to start, but they say they'll be releasing them online later with what stock is left over. Looks like they only sell international with WorldShopping and not Buyee. Boo-hiss.
There's some upgraded items from last time like bigger acrylic stands and even some Valentines Day gifts. The record shaped keychains look neat. Prices are reasonable converted to USD.

Some news that I have been very behind on -
Capcom has announced their lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2023, which involves both an in-person and online event. The in-person event will take place from September 21st-24th, with the 23rd and 24th being open to the public, and the online event will be September 21st at 7:00 AM PDT.
Relevant to this blog, the lineup includes Ace Attorney 456! It sounds like it will be present at the physical event to showoff the stunning gameplay, and hopefully at the online event as well. This is the first time that Capcom has featured Ace Attorney at Tokyo Game Show since 2018, and this time they're clear about what they're showing and not teasing "unmissable announcements" (yet). I'm not expecting anything other than 456 information, and possibly a release date, but who knows with Capcom sometimes.
They also have an e-Capcom Tokyo Game Show special store, which includes ace attorney merchandise.
Edit: You CAN buy from the e-Capcom store overseas -- at least from the USA and Canada, I'm not sure about other countries. You have to go through the WorldShopping proxy that is on the page. It wasn't showing up on desktop at all for me, and apparently not working for some of my other friends, but it worked for me on mobile.
This includes:
Tumblr media
These little kokeshi dolls of Ryunosuke and Kazuma (already sold out for now)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These little plushies in a bag of Ryunosuke and Kazuma (which sold out FAST, but have a second run that will apparently deliver in december, however long that will last)
Tumblr media
Ace Attorney Plates, because why wouldn't you want them (also available in Edgeworth and Apollo flavors)
Tumblr media
Official Gavinners Guilty Tour 2026 Towel
Tumblr media
An acrylic stand for the 456 trilogy.

New FMA Merchs! (as of 6th Dec, 2023)
Pop-up store @ The Chara (Announced on 4 Dec)
Official Website
A variety of merchs (pins, stickers, clips, mugs, charms, acrylic stands) featuring brand-new illustrations!
The pop-up store will commence in Osaka from 8 Dec 2023 to 17 Dec 2023, then in Tokyo from 4 Jan 2024 to 16 Jan 2024. Unfortunately, these items seem to only be available at their physical store, so no luck in ordering them online T_T...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Pop-up Store @ Princess Cafe (Announced on 1 Dec)
Announcement
Brand-new illustrations of the characters in formal attires. People went insane over Riza wearing suits + top hat as well as Envy wearing garter belts.
The pop-up store will commence in Tokyo from 15 Dec 2023 to 29 Dec 2023, as well as Osaka from 15 Dec 2023 to 30 Dec 2023.
Doesn't have any information regarding the exact products yet, but you can seek updates on the princess cafe twitter or website. Their past products were usually available online, so I expect this time should be the same as well, and international shipping is supported through an official third-party company WorldShopping Global (have not used it, cannot comment on reliability).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Contents Seed Merchs (Announced on 30 Nov)
Announcement
New products using older illustrations. There are cushions, charms, acrylic stands, stickers, clips, mugs, and mini mirrors.
You can order them from the Hobby-search website or the colleize website (overseas shipping supported) starting from 30 Nov 2023 to 10 Dec 2023, and the products are expected to ship by the end of Jan 2024.

4. New Nendoroid Doll! (Announced on 2 Nov)
Announcement
Good Smile Company announced that they will make a new Edward Nendoroid Doll, no preview or information is available yet, but we can look forward to it! (Might be my first Nendoroid :3c)
Please be reminded that the Nendoroid Doll is the newer "premium" line of Nendoroid, the ones that are a bit taller, with better mobility and the clothes are in fabric so you can change their clothes. So this one will be quite different from the previous Nendoroids!
Tumblr media
5. Don Quixote Collab (Announced on 28 Oct, already sold out)
Announcement
Exclusive merchs sold at the Japanese discount store chain Don Quixote.
It's already sold out, but I really want to include this because I absolutely love the logo design they used on the bags. So pretty!!!

KOKIA updates: March 2024
Below, I have summarized KOKIA’s recent announcements and messages. As explained here, this will remain the style of updates for now. It has so far worked out that I end up summarizing posts every month, so below are the updates from March.
Tumblr media
Once-in-a-lifetime meetings tour
Tumblr media
KOKIA had her first performance in her Once-in-a-lifetime meeting concert tour on March 10 in Kyoto. She talks about this ahead of the concert in her blog entry of March 7, looking forward to returning to Kyoto for the first time in quite a while.
In her blog entry of March 12, she reflects on the concert. The photo she attached to the entry is of the concert hall (the Kyoto Cultural Museum annex hall), as she really enjoyed the atmosphere, with the echoes from the high ceilings and the light coming in through the windows during magic hour right before sunset. (See also her Instagram post.) She was able to hold an autograph session, and enjoyed talking to people from the Kansai region this time. She hasn't been here in a while, so there were also some people who hadn't been to her concerts before or hadn't been able to go in a long time.
She's enjoying the difference of a tour versus performing in her home city of Tokyo and looks forward to her next concerts in the prefectures of Oita and Saga, coming up in April. She's never performed solo there before, but she's managed to almost sell out those performances already. The Tokyo performance in May is already sold out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Releases
No more performances in March, but KOKIA does announce merchandise for her current tour in her blog entry of March 17. Rolling with the theme of a once-in-a-lifetime meeting, KOKIA decided on an encounter with the unknown that would certainly be once in a lifetime: an alien! The T-shirt (black, new model for comfortable wear) and blouson (white, same model as for her 25th anniversary). Due to production costs, there will be limited numbers for sale, so she is currently running a pre-sale on her official webshop from March 18 to April 7. The merchandise should be shipped in time for the performance in Tokyo in May and will be signed if ordered via the webshop. They will also be for sale at the Tokyo concert, but if you don't want to miss out (and get it signed), ordering via the web shop is your best bet.
On a side note, some previously unavailable items such as the 3 albums in the Stars series, most of the Animal CDs, her 25th anniversary album ánd the limited edition Blu-ray of her 25th anniversary concert are back in stock, so if you've missed out before, now is your chance! International visitors will get the banner for WorldShopping enabling to place their orders too.
And finally, after the initial digital release of disc 1 of The Lighthouse, KOKIA announces on March 12 that the second disc is now also digitally available via various sources. Here is the direct link.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other news
As previously mentioned, KOKIA shares on March 12 that she now has an account on Twitter/X, KOKIAofficial. As she uses her blog for her longer thoughts, her photos on Instagram, songs on YouTube and news on her homepage, she was missing a channel to very quickly share short updates. She decided to give Twitter a try for this, intending to only use it for quick, time-sensitive news such as ticket information, releases and sales. So, if you have an account, you can now follow KOKIA!
Tumblr media
KOKIA also announced on March 12 that Kaji Fes 2023, which she performed at as a guest, will be broadcast on TBS Channel 1. March 23 was the original air date for day 2, KOKIA's performance day, but there will be reruns on April 7 (18:00-20:00 for day 1, 20:00-23:00 for day 2). The official page for this broadcast can be found here.
Finally, taking a peek at her Instagram, KOKIA teases she's recording a music video for the first time in a long while, so that's something to look forward to!

and this one just came in HOT off the press: new goods for the 水星の魔女 Fes have just been released and Guel is challenging the fashion industry by looking cute AND horrendous at once. now we know who designed that pink dilanza
he's featured in the following items: acrylic standee, sticker, trading can badges, trading acrylic charms and a clear file (the last two are the only merch where he looks decent). they're also selling a camping coffee mug which is a guel-exclusive item! (and the only character-exclusive item so far)
you can view them all in the official event website! there's also instructions there on pre-ordering and picking up the item (by yourself or through the worldshopping proxy)
if anyone here is brave enough to pick up his zoolander debut, I'm begging you on my knees to please show us photos
here are more pictures cropped from the twitter previews:

Hi! I hope this is ok to ask, but I remember you mentioning you are in Canada, since you have a lot of experience w merch do you know if theres a way for Canadians to buy the new persona nuis? It seems like the worldshopping on thje atlus ebten site + amiami dont ship to us T_T
omg yes okay so. You're gonna need a proxy service. theres a couple that u can look into like buyee or dejapan but im just gonna shill and talk about the one i use since i know it best.
okay so make an account on Zenmarket. then hit the + button and drop the link to the nui that you want. itll take an hour or two (or less depending on when you do this) for staff to confirm whether they can buy this item, but once confirmed you just add funds to your zen acct and pay for your nuis!!! they DO add a 500 yen (basically 4cad) service fee but thats common across most proxies.
now for shipping. once the nui arrives you can pick your method, whether you want air, surface, express, fedex, etc. and then you pay for shipping at that moment. usually like 10 - 20 dollars if its not insanely heavy. which yeah is kinda pricy but likeeee. shipping from japan is just kinda like that. anyway i use zen all the time and like it lots. you can also use it to buy from japanese mercari or yahoo auctions! really handy. their shipping is super fast and customer service is solid (as far as ive dealt with them) highly recc to anyone looking for a simply but effective proxy
