Charles is always way too graceful in the interviews, this is his interview with sky Italy.
"We had issues with the hards on the first stint, the pace wasn’t bad at the beginning, but then we hit a cliff and we were forced to pits. We know that tire degradation is one of our biggest issues and we need to work hard on that. With the second stop we decided to stay out a bit longer since a lot of other drivers were out on slicks… we were hoping for a safety car that never came. Looking back on it right now the better strategy would have been going on inters earlier, but during the race we took a risk staying out and it didn’t pay"
#maybe if i accept that i don't love the club as much as i love their rich history contribution to football -> Honestly, it's probably for the best. When I started watching more Barca games in 2007, my friend who was a longtime Culer warned me that the nature of the club was cultish and neurotic, and that really helped temper expectations going forward. Of the fanbase, I would add "histrionic and delusional". Nowadays, I refer to that place as "the Catalan snakepit" in banter.
you have no idea how comforting your words are to me— been feeling like a glory hunter for a while now as i keep finding myself going back to pep's era of barça while nothing afterwards moves me much, but you put into words why certain aspects of the club and the culture surrounding it, especially after cruyff's departure, simply don't appeal to me
Imagine spending half a century with Barça. Imagine 25 years when you’re only 35. You only had ten years of your life where you weren’t playing for Barça and those ten years? You weren’t playing, sure, but you were a culé since birth. You were made a member of the club the day you were born. Your family is part of the club’s history; your grandfather is a former vice president. Blaugrana blood runs through your veins. And now you have to step away, and he’s stepped away before, but this is different.
Lost it over Geri saying that if you love something so much, you learn that as you get old, the best thing to do is to let it go because of that love you have.
Lost it over Geri saying, “I was born here and I will die here” and of course, OF COURSE, ending it with “Visca Barça.”
