(spoilers for Love In The Air)
So you're telling me this show:
is just a romance with a bit of interpersonal conflict
But this show:
has a main character get kidnapped, beaten, and held at knifepoint?

ANOTHER thing I like about Big Dragon is the fact that Yai and Mangkorn are both clearly experienced in BDSM. With Yai we've seen direct proof in the fact that he owns kink paraphernalia and has a play partner. With Mangkorn it's less immediately obvious without personal kink experience, but there are several things that tell me he's far from new to it. First, he was able to use Yai's toys even while heavily intoxicated, suggesting that he's used kink implements before. Second, he sought out consent in the bathroom. Consent culture is a thing that's specifically a big deal in the kink scene, as I've mentioned before. The more experienced someone is, the more likely they are to be aware of the importance of it. Third, he didn't show an ounce of hesitation or uncertainty in the bathroom. The moment Yai apologized to him, he knew that Yai had started to feel submissive and would be amenable to playing. Mangkorn established honorifics right away, setting the stage for the scene, also something that you're more likely to know is necessary if you're experienced. And again, within the scene there was no hesitation or uncertainty. Not allowing Yai to speak unless spoken to, giving Yai directions one by one so that it's not remotely difficult to follow them...he's done this before.
I love this because being experienced in kink makes it so much easier to enjoy each other. To know how to have fun and how to be safe. They both know what they want and what they're looking for, which is another reason they were able to recognize their compatibility after less than three minutes of play.
Ahhh this show is destroying my mind

I like that Mangkorn used this emoji 🐯 for Yai in his phone instead of this one 🐅. He doesn’t see Yai as a threat the way Yai sees him, I think. He seems amused by Yai’s animosity.

How did we go from here
To here
And back.
Seems like so many unnecessary steps just to get covered in wine and then bang.

if i had a nickel for every time yai was kissed, no consent asked (but i think he enjoyed both?), in public, by someone taller than him who has like him for years, just this episode, i’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

I am very much wondering what Mangkorn was doing with that woman if it wasn't what it looked like, okay? Was he helping her fix her dress? Did she loose a contact lens in his collarbone? Was his shirt on fire and we just didn't see it? Were they faking for someone we didn't see in the frame? Was he trying it out to see how he really felt for Yai? Did she forget how to stand up? Was this a drunken trip that landed her there somehow? I need to know.

I like that after the party Mangkorn took Yai to his favorite spot and allowed himself to be a little emotionally vulnerable there. It was as if he was trying to make Yai feel better after what happened in the bathroom. Subs can get extremely vulnerable when they're submitting, and being laughed at by a Dom for doing it(unless that's their kink) can be gut wrenching. I think in the bathroom Mangkorn was trying to suss out exactly how submissive Yai actually is while sober, and it got away from him a bit. His behavior the rest of the night totally screams "Dom trying to care for their sub". It was like upon realizing their kink compatibility, he decided to actually take Yai seriously, and doing that involved an increased level of concern for Yai's emotional well-being.

The way that the lyrics match perfectly with what you can see Mangkorn (/Mos) feeling and processing in the moment... *screaming*
"I don't have the right to be mad, I screwed up"
"I'll listen to whatever you tell me this is that's happening"
"I deserve to feel this badly"
"It wouldn't be fair to tell you I love you if I'm not ready to get my shit together"
"fuck"
Also, other people have done incredible color analysis on this show, but I want to point out that the little peek of Yai we see here is him in red (Mangkorn's color) and Mangkorn is surrounded by green (Yai's color) in this scene.
Anyway, this bit hurt my feelings.
