how was your oc (the bunny, zillu??) made??

oo this is a fun question! zillu started out as the human version, alongside my partner (@patrickcake )'s sona too, which was essentially just irl us + bunny ears the design honestly hasnt changed that much, but obviously gained the full-furry variant over time, i actually have a super early draft of this too! the biggest push to finalise the furry design came when i wanted to edit a VRchat avatar for myself, using dont_jinxit's bunny base, that's where i ended up making a lot more design decisions about the patterning etc, i also added the spirals on my cheeks a little down the line, reminiscent of my animal crossing new horizons character having those too :3 i've found a few pictures throughout the development of the design here so you can see how it's evolved, but at their core zillu is just me, slowly being injected with more aspects of things i like and ways i like to express myself beyond human limitations lol

I've actually only ever designed the one protogen! protogens are often called "toasters" as a joke within the community, and beans on toast is a pretty classic dish, so combining the idea of a toaster protogen with the ideas of furries having beans on their paws was a fun design idea for me :3 that character has been adopted now by someone else, but im still super duper proud of the design

when did you first start drawing

oooh this is a tricky question to answer, since my family all tells me ive been drawing my whole life!! i've had phases drawing more/less often at different points in my life, but have been a lot more focused on it in the last 2-3 years, which is also around when i started drawing furries (which i hadn't really done at all beforehand funnily enough)

i can dig through some of the files on my computer, though, and find a few examples of digital art over the years, before this i did a lot of stuff on paper or on my ipad, which i dont have much access to anymore

(ty for respecting the rules and my boundaries! i generally keep all my socials 16+ for my own comfort and im glad you can understand <3) but awa nonetheless thankyou for the compliments! for anyone curious about how i create the soft look in my art i think theres a few things that contribute to it; - i rarely use fully opaque lineart, i draw all my lines using a transparency/pressue brush and i often use a thicker linestyle than others too, i think this helps lend itself to line weight and depth but also helps accentuate softer areas where the lines are really light and round! - i use a soft-edged brush for shading, i turn the hardness down to pretty much 0% and paint soft shapes and gradients to map out the general lighting with blend modes - i ALSO use a soft-edged brush for rendering-- after laying out the lights and darks i go in with a smaller but still soft brush to add details on a sepearate layer above the lineart, this can often result in me sometimes overlapping the lines a little and creating that fluffy look! i think these things are maybe subtle but they help a lot to generally reduce hard edges in the piece and reduce line intensity- lineart is of course important to a piece but i dont treat it as the focus, its more of a guide to the edges and shadows more than anything, if that makes sense :3

what's your favorite breed of bnuy

OMG ok i can't pick a favourite - theyre all amazing there are preferred features though, like fluffiness and floppiness, ive narrowed down a top 3 based on those, in no particular order;

holland lop - little guys little dudes, soft and loppy, some of the most popular as pets in the US, image linked for reference. they are just. soft little guys.

french lop - similar to the holland lop! but b i g g e r. i like my pets to be big and holdable (mostly out of fear of stepping on them or smth) so this guy is a more manegable cat-size :3

angora - they are pure fluff.. i love fluffiness and all of these guys are soft and fluffy but THIS DUDE TAKES THE CAKE you can literally shear them and use their wool like sheep (which is cool! a great alternative for people who are allergic to sheeps wool)

hey, idk if you are aware of this but someone is impersonating as you. i got back from chatting with a random user (THAT I don't know.) on roblox that has the EXACT same name as you + they claim being as you/srs, saying stuff like: "oh yeah im zillu, check me out on tumblr" etc etc

i don't remember their full username but their display name was EXACTLY "zilluzion", just like yours, they were acting weird around me, standing in the same direction as me

all i know is that they pretended to be you, and i hope that your aware of impersonators, I've had this happen in the past with me before, it sucked honestly. so be careful plz 👍🏻

hiya, thanks for letting me know, this is very strange! i don't use roblox at all but i couldnt find any accounts with that username when i searched it... there are a few similar ones but they were all created back in 2015 or 2019 (before i was active under this name) as i said, i dont know how this stuff works! this is all very confusing! if you have any more evidence or suggestions as to how i ought to respond to this that would be great, although it may be better to keep information in DMs if it could be sensitive or misinterpreted. for now i can only keep my eye out and do my best to squish any bad actors that enter my sphere thanks again for letting me know! and thank you to the weird impersinator for the free promo i guess lmao???

hiya! i use Adobe Photoshop, and i use the dual brush feature to combine the default round brush with "hot diggity" brush from this pack by howlheim i also use pressure-opacity to help give my lines a softer look to them :3 sometimes ill increase/decrease the size of the dual brush to increase/decrase texture, but otherwise i pretty much use this for everything!
