Just Curious that I had in my mind from Book 4.5. How would Hazel feel or react seeing Ryan and Min-gi in the bathroom together at the party car? 😅

I'm sort of reconstructing B4.5 at the moment, but I do know that if it did follow Book 4 more closely it would probably be a big moment of change for her

Ryan at the beginning did say they were a part of a band and Min sees how excited she is to both have a family and be a part of that dream so he wouldn't outright say Ryan was lying. He'd sort of try to ween her off the idea and have her focus on the family part because he sure as Hell isn't leaving her in such an unstable home. He thinks he can convince Ryan to settle down permanently and they'll end up as a typical family; living in a quiet place in a nice house with normal jobs, sending their kid to a good school so she can have a good future and all that. He still lets bits of their past slip through, but not enough to totally tip her off, at least until The Astro Queue Car.

She'd gotten little hints that Min and Ryan separated at some point and their arguments sort of cements that. She's probably resent Min for a little, mostly because his 'I know better' attitude reminds her too much of her mom and teachers, but under all that misguided anger is a fear that they'll end up just like her parents and want nothing to do with each other and her. Things do get better after he saves Ryan and they make up, but finding out Min hid in the bathroom would probably make her regress back into thinking 'They were lying about making up'. She'd try to sneak away to find Kez but end up overhearing their conversation and actually hearing them talk and be so vunerable with each other would make her realize that relationships and people aren't so simple. In the end seeing them playing together would be such a relief because now she knows that her new parents actually want to fix themselves without making her their security blanket. It's a sign that they really do love each other, that she's safe with them and things will get better
