Farewell

Some of you may know this already, some may have guessed. The Adelines is over.  Thank you to everyone who ever came to a show, bought our music, played our songs. We had a great time while it lasted but unfortunately it wasn't to be.  Here are some songs we recorded in September which it seemed a shame to keep hidden away. You can download them for free. 

Anton is now playing with Why We Love and Ray with Tree Of Wolves. We'll let you know about any other future projects.

BBC Radio Wales 'Welsh Artist of the Week'

We're very happy to say that we are BBC Radio Wales' 'Welsh Artist of the week'!

  They'll be playing a radio edit of ‘Park The Car’ four times a day, Monday to Friday! (Jason Mohammad's, Louise Elliott's, Alan Thompson's and Chris Needs' shows).

  Also, Jennie and Anton will be popping over to Cardiff on Tuesday afternoon for an interview and acoustic session live on Louise Elliot's show from 1.30-2.00pm.  Adelove x

Swn Festival 2013

We're very happy to announce that we are playing Swn Festival again this year! Today they announced the first 50 acts for this year's festival, including us! Loads of other great bands were announced today including the likes of Everything Everything, Dutch Uncles, Wolf Alice and Temples as well as our Swansea bedfellows Heavy Petting Zoo! Silver Street Session

Recently, we headed down to Silver Street Studios in Reading for the day to shoot some live studio videos for you, that’s right, you, cos we’re nice like that ;)

Thanks to the help of our manager Rob Bloomfield and his band of merry men we were able to create these live studio videos of ‘Little Games’, ‘Alleyways’ and ‘Park The Car’.

We’ve been giving them to you one by one over the last few weeks as little surprises and we’ve loved your response to them so far

Here they are as a playlist which you can share to all your friends and whatnot. Along with some pictures we took while making them for you to look upon with amazement.

Gwyl Pili Pala Fest

So, in case you hadn't heard already, we're playing Pili Pala Festival in May! Pili Pala is a new festival starting up this year in Swansea to fundraise for and raise awareness of the West Glamorgan Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (WGCADA) and is being coordinated by Angela Muir (of The Echo And The Always).

The line up for the festival is looking pretty amazing already including Masters In France, Houdini Dax, Cut Ribbons, We're No Heroes, Denuo and many more.

We'll be playing at The Scene (formerly Milkwood Jam) on May 18th along with Denuo, Violas and Neotropics.

God Is In The TV: Tip Tape for 2013

We've been included in the "Tip Tape" for 2013 by God Is In The TV.

They had this to say about us :)

Their only recorded release to date ‘ Little Games’ hints at their commercial potential a gorgeously bittersweet pop song with Jennie’s dulcet vocals offering a strident edge to their alt-pop sound that’s the interesting meeting place between the most commercial cuts of Throwing Muses and the cinematic pop of early Texas. Their live shows hint at an even more dynamic widescreen rock sound to come hinting at the likes of the Pixies and North Walians The Joy Formidable.

We are doing Movember!

A little while ago we heard from our friends in Plastic Youth that their drummer Kieran had been diagnosed with testicular cancer. As you can imagine this was shocking news to us, and we all felt for him and his bandmates. No one ever thinks this will happen to them or anyone they know. Thankfully Kieran is doing ok now but it hit home with us and so we've decided to do Movember.

Admittedly a couple days in but here's our start photo...

As you can see Anton may have a bit of a head start... but the rest of us will give it our best, even Jen! Look at her tensing trying to sprout a lip fringe. Click the picture to go to our team page and donate! You know you want to ;)

Today Swn Festival announced the second wave of acts to be added to the line-up. That's right even more awesome bands! Go check out who's been added here.
