i legitimately cannot decide if the one that wants the story to be science fiction should wear mostly:

button-ups, trying to look very well put-together

old faded/vintage sci-fi t-shirts

but i think it’s going to be that usually, they wear the former. however. there are instances when other characters catch them off guard and they’re wearing an old star trek t-shirt or something.

i don’t know who’s most relatable (or my favourite, honestly) out of this entire situation:

the narrator that isn’t, who stabbed a guy and then accidentally forgot their stereo (and consequently left the guy they stabbed listening to stayin’ alive for at least an hour or so)

gerald, who was stabbed, and when he sees someone just. says hi and asks them to turn the music off before getting to the whole “hey i’ve been stabbed and might need medical attention” thing

asbyte, who accidentally listened to the werewolves of london for an indeterminable amount of time and upon seeing gerald (stabbed) asks if he’s okay

poor (redacted), who happened to be listening to stayin’ alive and walked in on asbyte and gerald trying to put pressure on his stab wound

It was a dark and clear morning when he died. Or, more accurately, when he was stabbed. And even then, it was only dark because of how early it was; the sun hadn’t had the chance to wake up yet. A few that had passed by the building around that time later recalled hearing an up-beat song with an almost pulsing drumbeat.
