They wake up in a strange and empty version of what they know, in which they must compete in dangerous games to survive, whose type and difficulty are determined by the card game. After surviving the first game, players receive "visas", which extend the longer they participate; if visas expire, individuals are executed. There are four game types in this world: SPADES are games of physical endurance, strength, and agility. DIAMONDS are games of intelligence, strategy and wits. HEARTS are games of psychology, trust, and betrayal. CLUBS are games that balance all three concepts with an element of teamwork.

RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS is a diamond game player

— Housewarden of Heartslabyul can be known for his strictness and hot temper, but he is also known for being a dedicated student, games that are won by logic, rationality and strategy would be his specialty, he would know how to handle and solve these games with certainty.

A game he would win would be: FOUR OF DIAMONDS, also called LIGHT BULB, consists of players figuring out which switch turns on the light in a slowly flooding room, it's CLEAR GAME for the players to correctly figure out which switch turns on the light and it's GAME OVER for the players if the water reaches the wires above them or one of the players touches the wires. Riddle would have the strategy of testing the switches, as the lamps are hot when turned on, it would be enough to test the switches and touch the lamp to feel its temperature, if it is hot, it means that the lamp was on and is the answer correct.

A game he would lose would be: SIX OF DIAMONDS consists of an elimination game of BlackJack, all participating players have a rope around their neck and players receive tokens equal to the number of hours left on their visa, when the chip count reaches zero, it's gamer over for the player and the only way a player can get clear play is to be the lone survivor. Riddle has a strong commitment to the rules, regardless of what those rules are, he would follow them into this game without hesitation. The other players could cheat to gain an advantage and therefore get closer to victory, something he would not tolerate and would not do under any circumstances, therefore he would have a disadvantage. By following the rules strictly, he would be at a disadvantage that would lead to him receiving a GAME OVER.

Start with something small, an action driven by impulse and curiosity. You were observing the beauty mark on your lover's chin, and although Azul noticed your fixed gaze on it, their posture remained unchanged, and their attention was focused on the papers on the table. The sound of the pen curving on paper filled Ashengrotto's private office.

You leaned in, as you were sitting a short distance from the person, it wasn't difficult, leaving a gentle kiss on the said beauty mark. The pen stopped, the skin tingled, and the other, who had been so engrossed in work before, began to watch you.

"Angel-fish!" he cursed. "These documents are important. As much as I appreciate your displays of affection, now is not an opportune moment."

The housewarden placed a hand on your shoulder, sighing, and helped you sit back. When done, they smiled and affectionately kissed your forehead, returning their attention to the documents.

You wouldn't be satisfied with just that — and that was Azul's worst mistake at that moment, underestimating you. Approaching again, you acted faster, pulling them by the shoulder and ignoring their protests.

The kisses on your beauty mark were longer this time, moving to the cheek, tip of the nose, and any other patch of pale skin on the person's face that you could reach. With each kiss, a compliment was left behind, painting your lover's skin with a blush so familiar to you.

Lost in that moment, you barely noticed Azul's hand reaching from behind, and the grip on your collar only became evident when they pulled you, ending the kisses on your face. You lamented at that moment, but quickly changed as you felt Azul's lips against your cheek.

He pulled away, their hands went to your face, where their thumbs caressed the area. The look Azul gave you was one of deep fondness.

"These documents can wait, as long as you take responsibility for your actions, angel-fish."

You wouldn't regret doing so.

Riddle hasn't been Housewarden for long, but the impact he had on all members from his absurd strictness and constrainment on the Rules. Him being laid-back was a fresh air from them

Of course, he stil doesn't allow rule-breakers to roam around the dorm, he's more...merciful than usual.

His heels creak from each steps, his cape flowed elegantly while his face had a blank look, his eyes dulled and lacked from any color. He hurriedly walked to his door, his hands fumbling in his pockets to search for a key—the doornkob let out a clink as the door creaks loudly till it fully opened.

Once he entered, he quickly locked the door behind him while fully locking it, three different sets of padlocks were attached to the door to avoid letting any intruders inside. In his room, sat someone at the edge of the bed, they hugged their legs closer to their chest and head on their knees, sleeping, waiting patiently for him to return home. You wore white-colored sleepwear, woken up from the noises, they rose their head up and a hand rubbed their eyes—they called out the only person they knows who'd enter in

"Riddle... Is that you?"

Startled by the sudden voice, he turned around. Riddle's blank and dull eyes turned bright, his cheeks flared a color red, a smile had made it to his face but soon changed into a worried expression when he saw the state you were in and rushed to your side. "My rose! You shouldn't sleep on the floor, you'll strain your neck in that position" he scolded you with a gentle tone, contrast to his usual shouts when a member breaks a rule

Feeling guilty for not only worrying him but also not greeting him like you originally planned, "I wanted to wait for you... I didn't mean to fall asleep. I'm sorry..." A sudden panic struck him as he didn't mean to make you guilty, you looked down with a sad expression like a pet who'd been scolded, "Don't be down my dear, I'm just worried about you...the floor is cold, you should've rested on the bed."

Both of his gloved hands held yours as he hosted you to stand up as he did as well. A moment of silence as he stared deeply into your eyes, what he didn't expect was for you to jump into his arms and hugged him tightly. He can smell the sweet euphoric scent he had from you mixed with the Rosey shampoo that he regularly uses, he hugged you tighter and pressed his face deeper to your neck to inhale more of your scent. It's like an addiction he'd never get bored of, the sweet aroma, the euphoric feeling—he never wants it to end

All lights had turned off, the illuminating moonlight was the only source of light. In the bed, two individuals had yet to slumber after they finish their nightly vows, Riddle's clothing had changed into his sleepwear. You had a white cloth on your lap as you both kneeled facing each other, "Riddle, shall I start now..?" He nodded with a gentle look on his face as his eyes sparkled with joy—the white cloth was carefully placed on top of his head like a bride's veil with his eyes closed, you started to chant your vows

Your hands held his face gently, bringing him closer to finish the ritual with a kiss as you closed your eyes. After the enchanted kiss soon ended, the two of you pulled away, eyes opened to stare deeply into each other—Riddle's eyes was in pure awestruck from the bubbling love contained inside his heart

His only solution is to graduate and find a suitable job to pay all the expenses, even if it's only him working—he doesn't care anyways, as long as you stayed inside and away from the corrupted world

Just three years. Three more years before he can leave with you, somewhere where no one can find you. Just you and him together in his little fairytale castle. His eyes couldn't keep him awake anymore, but he gave in to his drowsiness. Falling asleep while he brought your body closer to his—afraid you'd disappear if he ever let's go

A MONSTER’S WISH !

When you fell sick Grim was doing his best to figure out what was wrong with you.

He did everything in his ability to take care of you per your instructions, but when you fainted from a massive headache he panicked and almost lit the dorm on fire from how worried and confused he was.

Luckily for the ghosts they guided Grim and told him to request help from the Heartslabyul students.

He wasted no time to sprint to their dorm and as he was frantically looking around for the two their housewarden seemed to notice the distressed weasel.

Refraining from becoming angry he asked Grim what seemed to be the problem and the only explanation that came out of his mouth was a small ‘help’.

He didn’t have to explain any further for Riddle to understand that you were in trouble, seeing that the gremlin was without you told him everything he needed to know.

Riddle left Trey in charge as he would make his way to Ramshackle himself— along with Ace and Deuce who conveniently overheard the interaction.

As Grim brought the three of the Heartslabyul students inside the dorm, one of the ghost hurriedly floated towards them “The Prefect’s condition is getting worse you need to hurry.”

The four of them rushed up to your room and found you on your bed breathing heavily with a flushed face and sweat beads all over your body.

Your mouth was leaking what seemed to be blot, it dripped down your chin as you grit your teeth together from pain.

Grim tried to rush over to check out what was wrong with you, but Riddle held him back. You leaking blot despite being a magicless human was already alarming and he didn’t want to risk a mage touching you and getting sick too.

So of course Crowley was contacted and a few staff came to observe your condition.

After much observation they figured that a magicless human being around overblot mages caused a harsh side effect, your body was declining from the accumulated blot particles and if they didn’t figure anything out fast you would suffocate from it.

Your body was kept in a room high up the school’s tower with different types of machines to keep you stable while the professors and the headmage try to find a way to release the blot particles from your body WITHOUT having a mage to absorb it.

Grim was in hysterics and threw a tantrum about wanting to stay by your side, but was denied as he could possibly overblot and they didn’t want to deal with an overblot monster at the moment..

“Let me see my henchman now!” he demanded from Crowley as he stood in front of your door to prevent Grim from going inside.

“I cannot allow that, now run along so I can continue finding a cure to help!”

“Liar! You’re not even figuring out how to take her home so why should I trust that you’ll help find a cure?”

Grim was getting aggravated by Crowley’s words and wanted nothing more but to burst inside your room to help you out from those awful machines.

Eventually Lilia had figured out how to treat you due to his ancient age and had offered to help, warning that it could be a huge risk but would be worth it if it went well.

Due to you not having a guardian nor any relatives it was all down to Grim’a decision.

He of course said yes without any hesitation, but after hearing the possible negative outcome scared him. What did Lilia mean by ‘being ripped from the inside out’ if it went wrong?

If it didn’t work you would die painfully, but if it worked you would be saved.

It was a huge gamble and leaving all that decision to poor Grim caused his mentality to drop immensely.

There was no other option?

Grim held onto the hope and the little voice behind his ears told him to do it, so he reluctantly agreed that Lilia could help.. with one condition.

If it all started to go wrong he wishes for Lilia to kill you before your own body ripped you apart.

Lilia agreed to the terms and the staff started preparing for your treatment.

By this point everybody knew what was going on with you.

The overblotted mages who you dealt with felt pity for the feline as it was partially their fault for the condition you’re in. Some showed it and some didn’t.

When Lilia was to begin the process Grim asked to say a few words to you incase it ends badly.

His request finally being approved he was allowed in the room and to stand on a chair that was at the same level as your body.

“You better return to me henchman or the great Grim will be upset!” he said and carefully wrapped a cloth with the same pattern of his bow around your wrist as a prayer, with that he left the room and Lilia went through with the spell.

“I still want you to witness me becoming a great mage.”

today he was especially gloomy due to god knows what reason so you took it upon yourself to lighten his mood

although he refers to you with various odd pet names which is kinda cute according to you, you on the other hand never really called him anything other than his name

so while he was in the cafeteria you called him "baby"

he shivered, looked around and saw you smiling brightly at him as if you did not just call him baby

his mood would do a total 180 as soon as you call him that

he would pester you throughout the day to call him by "that thing you just called me"

your pet names are what keeps his mood swings in somewhat of a control. so whenever he is angry or sad just call him a pet name his face will shine brighter than the sun and you will be able to count the number of his teeth with how wide his smile is.

my guy here is pretty old fashioned so when you told him you were a cheerleader you might as well fill him in with some details.

he got the gist of it that whenever he would participate in any sport event you would be there to support him by giving a lil dance :D !

now the spelldrive competition was closing in so you told malleus that since you can't participate in the competition you are going to cheer for him from the sidelines.

during the tournament when he was competing against leona he saw you with some other people on the sidelines doing the cheerleader dance

now seeing you dance infront of him was not new but you cheering him on when other people were there you swore you saw heart eyes and a huge blush on his cheeks.

as the tournament was over he came over to you and dragged you over to a secluded area and he kissed you gently

"I saw you cheering me back at the grounds. thank you for supporting me dear"

Ace Trappola

Ace had a girlfriend once and found her to be a pain so he never thought he would date again until he met you

honestly he thought you were kinda nice not like his ex hell maybe you were even better than her

so he loved you a lot and was always ready to show himself off and his bravery whenever you would be around

so imagine when you told him you were a cheerleader he would be so happy since you would be cheering him on during tournaments and he would get to see you dance !

when he visited your dorm one night he asked you to do a little cheer for him and so you did

and during your show he couldn't keep his hands to himself really. you looked so adorable doing the little twirls and jumps and once you finish be ready to be tackled by him into a hug and lots of kisses and cuddles following right after

" I loved your dance [name] ! Next time I come please do the same for me once more ! "

Jamil Viper

Jamil himself knows how to dance so when you told him you're a cheerleader and you also know dances he was delighted hearing so.

he would ask you to show some of you dances to him and he would even suggest steps that would make it look even better you were really surprised when he suddenly started giving you a presentation on how to do dance steps to improve your cheering

nevertheless you two enoy each others company when you would dance together and you even taught some moves to him and you swear he looked so good while doing those.

he adores moments like these that can only be shared between you two and he gets to enjoy the view of you whenever you would do the twirls and the steps he taught you. those would always catch his breath and a soft smile would grace his lips.

"yes you did a great job with the steps right there say why don't I teach you some more [name] ? "

Riddle was, to say the least, pleasantly surprised when you presented a gift to him one morning

You hadn't spoken a word until he questioned you, having to explain that it was a gift to show your appreciation of having him around

And for being your friend

When giving him gifts became a regular occurrence, he began feeling as though he should show his gratitude

So when he invited you for tea he decided that was when he would return the favor

He thanked you with rosey cheeks, looking somewhere other than you as he handed you a small box

And you smiled at him

"Y-you smiled-"

"What? Can't I smile sometimes?" 😡

   ➢ Leona

Getting close to Leona is hard so the fact you're friends with him means a lot

He never told you that the two of you are friends, but the lack of hostility stands out

But when you came to him in the botanical garden with his lunch instead of Ruggie, he definitely felt closer to you albeit very confused

As time went on and you kept showing up and giving him gifts, he got suspicious- beginning to think you're just buttering him up

When you told that you wanted to let him know how much his presence means to you... he waved you off with a "tsk"

He didn't want to believe you, but knew you tended to keep your feelings to yourself and the fact you told him probably took a lot out of you

Leona might find himself helping you out sometimes, but who knows

   ➢ Azul

Similar to Leona, Azul thought you were trying to get on his good side

But he didn't have too much of a problem with it because then you'd be willing to do favors for him

When he heard that someone requested to see the manager from Jade, he wasn't expecting a gift from you

Especially one so personalized and useful

A fountain pen was something he needed, his current one had been hitting the can

He racked his brain and deduced that he must've offhandedly mentioned it

The fact you remembered something so miniscule really stood out to him and despite being rather baffled, he managed to thank you

You explained on your own accord and he grew flustered

"Is.. is that so?"

   ➢ Kalim

After you gave Kalim a gift for the first time, he saw that as the go ahead to shower you with gifts instead

Gift giving is a mutual thing and he's ecstatic every time

A friendship bracelet? He practically has tears in his eyes out of happiness

A study guide based off your notes from class? He's so grateful that he asks you if there's anything you want- even if it's something outrageous, he'll do his best

Kalim is very affectionate to everyone so big, warm hugs after you've given him a gift are basically mandatory

When you tell him how much you appreciate him and let him know he's one of the greatest friends you've had.. he does cry

And absolutely tackles you in a hug

"You're the greatest, if anything!!"

   ➢ Vil

Vil is used to fan mail and compliments so when he saw a box on his desk he didn't think anything of it

It wasn't until he read the tag that the gift piqued his interest

He didn't expect to receive a gift from someone like yourself

He wondered what it was, but saved it until after he returned to the dorm

Now alone, he felt as though it was time to open it

And he was taken off guard once again

How had you managed to get your hands on the moisturizer he's had his sights on for the past month?

Despite acquiring one from Azul not too long ago, he wished to see if there was something better

Its expensive, definitely one of the higher end products he now owns-

Vil confronts you about it, chiding you about spending so much and how you should be more careful

You had to cut him off to let him know why and how you were able to afford such a luxury

Working your butt off ever since he mentioned it to Rook so you could do something nice for him

"Potato.. focus more on yourself."

   ➢ Idia

A.. gift? For him??

Idia is filled with so much joy but his thoughts are making him feel bad

You wasted money on him- got him this game that you can't even play alongside him

He wonders if he should send a gift back to you, but what would you like?

Idia, despite being on the verge of pulling his hair out, decides to call you and asks if you'd like anything

"Pfft- Idia, just being with you is enough! You don't have to get me anything."

Oh sevens, you just laughed- is that fondness laced in your voice? At him of all people!?

"Th..then can you come over..? You can watch me play that game.."

He feels a tad sweaty, but he's happy

Although he feels worse after you keep getting him things and when you help him get a character from this gacha game- why are you spoiling him so 😖

Malleus is grateful of every gift and keeps them as safe as possible

Knowing the reason as to why you shower him with such gifts makes him feel warm

He often thinks about getting you a gift, sometimes asking Lilia what would be best

It takes him a while to choose when Lilia gives him such a long list, but he's happy with his decision

Humans like simple things, little objects that hold meaning

So he struggled to make friendship necklaces

The clasps were easy to understand, but he kept underestimating his strength and kept bending the plastic string

Azul has noticed how you struggle to keep your expression neutral near him

He himself does his best to keep his image pristine and menacing

So he understands, at least he believes so

But he never quite breaks around you the way you do him

Your eyes soften when he enters your view, your lips tug into a small smile, and your shoulders lax more often than not

Although, before the both of you began dating, he always grew flustered

How could someone as stern as yourself be so doting?

Azul tends to avoid you at times, but only because he knows both of you will most likely forgo your images

And he just can't take it, his heart is beating too fast!!

   ➢ Floyd

Floyd is one to try and get any, and all, reactions from you

So when you get all smiley and red around him, he really wants to keep you all to himself

He can't help but squeeze you sometimes- you're just too cute, being soft like that

Floyd enjoys teasing you when he's bored or in a bad mood

He tries not to go too hard on you, of course- but he just has a fascination with seeing your face twist into something new

He'll never get over the first time you smiled at him though, the way your eyes softened and creased truly took him off guard

Jade honestly finds it a novel how relaxed you become around him, laughing and acting so cute with him beside you

He finds its funny that others see you as this.. intimidating figure

To him you're like a mouse

Timid and cute

Although, your "timid" is more so glaring at the person until they themselves scamper away

You're truly fun to be with, amusing might be a better word

   ➢ Leona

Leona finds you quite amusing, falling apart around him and all

Seeing your stone face transform at the mere sight of him almost had him laughing, his eyes took on a soft gleam of their own

You and him.. are rather similar

He feels as though Ruggie made a bet that you'd both get together at some point

Leona's content with just cuddling or sitting beside each other in the greenhouse, but you somehow take a step further and place a kiss on his nose every time

He should predict it by now but it still takes him by surprise

He likes teasing you too, by the way! Not as much as the Leech's though, just.. a normal amount

Like holding certain items out of reach or purposely getting close to you so he can make a comment on your heart rate

   ➢ Riddle

Another one to be flustered, Riddle is often seen with painted cheeks around you

The amount of love you hold within your eyes when you smile at him or help him bake makes him feel like the soft one

His breath is often taken away, such as this one time you called out to him about the textbook he left on the table

He turned around and your expression held nothing but adoration whilst you handed it to him

If he didn't have a class within the minute, he most definitely would've melted to the floor where he stood

Absolutely smitten this lad is, you don't see it sometimes but he has the biggest smile when you're focusing on work- not to mention he's proud of you for being so diligent

He is sure to correct anyone if they make a terribly wrong assumption about you
