I’d really love to hear what you think about their dynamics between each other. How does Asanos leadership change pre and post relationship? I feel like they might get more bold in defying his once they now have a more intimate bond with him but I also feel like Asano would use that as a way to make them behave ex:

What's so funny is in my brain all my anons are like. One person unless stated otherwise. One person whomst I appreciate and love most dearly <3 (if you want you could make a send-off or emoji to distinguish yourself) (assuming you're the same poly b5 anon from before)

So if we go with my established headcanon, Asano doesn't really have the same type of power that he does at Kunugigaoka that he does in his relationship SINCE that Asano is out of school, away from his father, probably therapized, etc. I don't think he would want to withold affection as punishment because that would make him sad too! And the boys would not let that shit slide lmao

HOWEVER. if you slide the establishment of the polycule earlier down the timeline then HOO BOY anon I agree with you so hard. He would absolutely pull all of that and more. I'd imagine that he would try so hard to be as completely domineering and in charge as he is academically within his relationships, which would create a bit of resentment for him since that isn't exactly model boyfriend behavior.

of course the rest of the big five aren't immune to being hotbeds of toxicity! Their relationship (during kunugigaoka) is reminiscent of this

I saw that you ship poly big 5 on a post so can I ask how you think it all started?

I'm actually shaky on that myself. When I think of them there's mostly a before and after and no middle. I'd love to hear your thoughts though, and other b5 fans' as well!

the thing is, they are high school boys. with b5 content I have a lot of 'he would not fucking say that' moments, and there's nothing wrong with an interpretation where the guys are more... emotionally advanced, let's say, but I honestly don't think any of them even know they like guys until after canon. (Gakushuu's gay-homophobic to me lol)

I think that it would start with ren and koyama. (because. rensuhiko i mean c'mon) they might try to keep it a little subtle, but you know how ren is. Nothing stays secret for long. seo finds himself hating them for it and freaking out, because he's a poet! poets are all a little gay, right? how's he gonna make it if he's homophobic? but spoilers, turns out he doesn't mind his friends kissing guys if it's him they're kissing.

araki has never met any gay people before now, and he guesses these guys are okay if they're gonna be his first gay experience. He'll try anything once.

("wait, you don't have to do gay shit," ren says, flipping his hair out of his face.

"No, I'm gonna." The determined look on araki's face is almost- no, it IS cute, he can think that, he's gay and has two (three?) boyfriends now. life is crazy.

"Well," Seo drawls, "get over here, then.")

now gakushuu's the odd man out. and he handles it in a very good and healthy way!

JUST KIDDING he represses the shit out of it.

Unfortunately, Gakushuu's dad finds out he's gay and disowns him. HE didn't even know he was gay! What the fuck, dad? Luckily, Ren offers to put him up, and maybe get him to loosen up a little now that GakuHOE is out of the picture.

(one drunken night, mistakes are made. Or not made, depending on how you look at it. Ren is inclined towards the latter.)

after gakuren is established, things just fall into place. there's only so long you can watch your boyfriend kiss your best friends before you start wanting to get in on it yourself.

So that's how that happens. tysm for the ask, this was so fun!!
