I have been planning a small trip to enjoy our weekend with my partner somewhere faraway from Mumbai. Finally concluded #Igatpuri after so many brainstorming R&D on the place and booked @rainforestresortigatpuri to hangout. Trains and buses also available to reach the destination but since the tourist attractions , we decided to take our own vehicle & believe me it turned out to be a wise decision. **How to reach:** On a foggy Saturday morning we started off for Igatpuri at about 7.30 am. Igatpuri is a cool hillstation lying on the Mumbai-Nasik route, And that perhaps is the most lucrative part about the place. The journey seemed to be a roller coaster ride, especially on the ghats. But the route remained a beautiful green throughoutIgatpuri is almost 130 Km from Mumbai by road. Leaving early also an advantage as you will find less traffic and taste of Nashik food on the highway as so many restaurants,Dhabas available. Its a place to relax and spend some quality time with family and friends. Must visit Mehrangarh Fort if you are in Jodhpur. Try reaching early by 9 am as that's the opening timings. Enjoy the view of Blue City from the top. Better to hire a guide to know the history and see this beautiful place. Rs 200 entry ticket + Rs 100/ one side lift & Rs 500 for the guide. Lift takes you to the museum which is on the upper floor. Though there is an option to walk until the museum.
