The book i took a screenshot of wasnt on theoi.com. It was on a PDF version of the book.
And it also says it on my book version
I have given sufficient evidence and you CONTINUE to ignore that there are different versions of myths, alternate myths if you will. Its kind of sad you ignore this. And honestly idk what to tell you at this point.
Many websites site this exact thing - amd its getting annoying that you ignore it because ‘boo hoo theoi.com isnt accurate so i’m right’
I have asked my amino, discord, reddit and many people say that it is a VERSION of the myth even though you are so adamant on saying its not.
Please rethink what you know. Goodbye.

Thing is the Apollo also rebels against Zeus DOES have evidence.
Apollo was turned mortal TWICE. The first time occured when Zeus killed Apollo’s son Asclepius, a great healer, who defied fate by bringing the Greek hero Hippolytus back from the dead. In revenge, Apollo killed the Cyclopes who had created Zeus’ weapons, which upset Zeus so much that he sent the god to earth as a mortal to serve the King of Pherae in Thessaly.
The second time was when he and Poseidon foolishly attempted to overthrow Zeus – Zeus didn’t like that and sentenced them both to years of hard labour as humans, where they built the great walls of Troy that practically made the city invincible.
Its not a summary its a legitamate source.
Heres another sources considering you’re so adamant on not seeing theoi as one.
And now i believe we are done.

You also used theoi.com? I dont get what you wish to point put here. Also - theoi.com includes evidence that you can check for. And the version they’ve uses is stated on other websites so idk why you’re gonna erase that and say we’re wrong.
Multiple websites wouldnt be saying it id it was wrong. Also saying myths didnt have a connection makes you seem SO blind.
Many myths did connect.
This also annoys me, just because Apollo was also his favourite doesnt mean he wasnt punished.
Apollo also seems to be your favourite (judging by your post history) so piece of advice - don’t let your love for a god blind you in greek mythology.
Seriously, Athena was his all time favourite - other blogs can actually tell you that is correct. Apollo and Poseidon were punished, Athena wasnt and Apollo being the favourite doesnt stop that from being true. (In the source)
Though @fun-sized-amazonian I do have a question for you. Why do you think the rebellion lead to the Trojan war? If anything, their punishments was the part that played part in the trojan war (such as Poseidon’s wall) it did not lead to it. Or was that a part i misunderstood? Please clarify.
Damn @wasspword and @greeksandwhat that seemed so condescending??? Are you trying to intentionally provoke them? Or am i just imagining things.

@wasspword :
I mean i get where you’re coming from, but no. Just because they’re speaking of Homer doesnt mean other mythology versions can’t be taken into context. Like people do that so much and you don’t go and attack them... also if you don’t know much about somethimg why speak on the subject? Your first priority should be to gain more context on the matter before speaking out on the subject - sometimes it can highlight your ignorance in a bad way (not to be rude)
And also - always consider alternate versions of myths in your response, if you came to study myths then your first priority would (and should) be to learn the alternate versions or consider them.
If you see something you havent heard of - then research before saying anything. Seriously, it will make you look bad.
If you’ve done the research and still can’t find mythology versions then ask - don’t jump straight to call people out. It leads to unwanted drama and disruption.
Drama which no one involved wants.
Anyway, the myth they’re talking about is clearly Homer. Seriously, they linked evidence and seem like they can give you more.
Also of ‘theoi.com,’ is wrong sometimes then why do other websites state the same thing? http://dante.udallas.edu/hutchison/Mythology/Gods/apollo.htm
Seriously RESEARCH.
Also stop being a hypocrite. You say don’t site theoi because its not reliable
BUT THEN SITE IT YOURSELF
That makes me so mad lmfao
This also makes you seem cowardly - people (and the OP) can SEE this response. Whats the use of trying to hide behind a curtain? Say it to their face.
‘Gotta love how the op just read the summary but didnt quote the passage’ umm - they did quote the passage? On the same website you used? What makes you so special?
Your ignorance makes me upset.

@lenacraft why the f are you always so goddamn rude on LO posts like this? I’ve seen you so many times saying this, shut up and scroll down if you have a problem with the truth/ people acknowledges bad things LO includes. Because it IS problematic, i can write you an indepth essay on why its problematic but you’d just look the other way and spread negativity. Seriously, you leave.
by having hera the goddess of marriage have a decades-long affair with her brother-in-law, it makes it pretty obvious that lore olympus is only very VERY loosely based on actual greek mythology. i wouldn’t even call it a modern retelling, it’s more of the author using the names of gods but they’re all her own characters. i dont think that’s a bad thing, it actually means that the story can go in any direction really and the story arc could get really interesting - although persephone and hades probably have to end up together at the end bc that seems to be the only detail smythe is keeping.
personally what i’d love to see is lore olympus showing when persephone and hades ultimately get together that they’re relationship really isn’t something to aspire to and that in some ways it’s even toxic. maybe it’ll work out maybe it won’t but it would be interesting to see. i very much doubt the story will go in this direction but still.

@didnt-want-to-be-a-halfblood you misunderstand me then. Percy did the actions because he was a kid - thats my point. Will is a kid too - he may make mistakes but he wouldnt be so keen to hate him so quickly. I get they arent friends but i think Will respects him as a hero and is mature enough to atleast ask.
Will knows Percy tried with Michael. Thats why you’re getting so much people disagreeing with you tbh. He won’t be bitter knowing percy tried - maybe guilty and sad but hes not gonna downright bash him if he understands percy isnt perfect.
Percy and Will are kids but different because Will hasnt experienced having the stress and dependency of billions on his shoulders.
You paint me as bias, you like Nico and Will too much. You don’t give Percy an excuse or leeway in your judgement - thats why i dont accept this take.
Nico may love Will and they may be OTP but Percy is someone he loves and looks up to. I doubt Nico would let Will continue to hate Percy.
Thinking about how Michael Yew presumably drowned and then Percy dragged Will away to heal Annabeth.
Will reflects back on the moment several weeks later like "huh. Y'know if Annabeth drowned Percy would've absolutely gone beserk and flooded the entirety of Long Island. Not to mention he could've used his powers to sense where Michael was in the water and save him. Oh well. Priorities I guess."
But Will can't voice thoughts like that. Not without every other camper jumping down his throat about how "Percy is a hero! He made a tough call! It was a war! Michael was his friend!"
And that's fine. He didn't blame Percy for Lee or Michael's death, not really.
Heck, for a while it was as if Percy could do no wrong. Always cool. Always cute. Power couple on camp with Annabeth. And yeah, Percy was a little self-righteous at times. Still, he was an annoyingly good person. He was only ever nice to Will.
So Will never found it in himself to hate Percy, not really.
Then he disappears. A new prophecy is being fulfilled. Apparently Roman campers exist and try to attack camp. And Will finally gets the attention of someone he lowkey had a crush on shortly after the Battle of Manhattan: Nico di Angelo. Score.
And then. Oh, and then. Nico confesses he used to have a crush on- no. Used to be in love with Percy. Well. Isn't that interesting.
It takes a minute for Nico to convince Will he isn't a second choice, that he isn't just some constellation prize, runner up, since Nico can't have the great and powerful Son of Poseidon. (Aka the "strongest demigod Nico has ever met")
Still, Will wasn't jealous of Percy, not really. Not any more than anyone else at camp at least
But then... then Will hears stories. He gets every tale, every detail from everyone's point of view. Not always directly, but eventually all info gets passed around the infirmary. The medics hear all the gossip. And Nico opens up and confesses to Will as well.
And Will hears how Percy treated Nico. Over and over how their complicated relationship and Nico's crush and Percy's short temper... the time Percy choked Nico. The threats. Percy saying they should leave Nico to suffocate to death in the jar. The wonder bread. The gossip aboard the Argus II spread by Percy, leading the others of the 7 to find Nico "creepy" and not trust him. The horrible way he was treated again and again... All the while Nico sacrificed everything for him, multiple times. Percy would have never defeated Kronos or survived Tartarus without Nico.
And yeah, it was more complicated than that. Yeah, Will was biased. Nico wasn't exactly perfect either, but that didn't matter.
Because suddenly Will did blame Percy for Michael's death. His jealousy turns to resentment. Percy didn't deserve to have Nico's affections, past or present. Percy who acts like he's always in the right, Percy who everyone fawns over, Percy the hero of every story he's in, Percy who hurt the person Will Solace loves more than anyone...
Fuck Percy.
Will smiles when they interact, all jokes and singalongs and sunny laughter and friendly conversation. But deep down the anger keeps growing.
Will Solace hates Percy Jackson.

I lowkey get annoyed when people use modern adaptions of myths as actual myths.
Like no, i dont care how much you ship Hades and Persephone, Persephone did not wonder into the underworld and marry him because she was a ‘strong female girl’ in your eyes. Thats a modern adaption by Charlene Spretnek - many people will tell you that.
Thats a modern sanitised version, the ancient Greek and Roman accounts of Persephone universally agree that Hades abducted Persephone against her will where she fell in love and married him.
Whenever i ask for literal evidence these people will never comply and give it to me - please ask for sources and site them please.
Also to hell with you ‘but its a modern version who cares if people make it an actual myth,’
That is not how that works - your modern versions are not factual myths.
Don’t get me started on ‘theres no myth canon so lets let them spread that,’
Like - umm no, misinformation of whats actual myths isnt nice to be spread, confirming the knowledge that its a modern adaption will help people.
What is greek canon is a whole different matter - in my opinion.
[Note : you can believe what you wanna believe but my point is - don’t use modern adaptions of myths as facts/ in factual conversations.]

Did my artistic music boy apollo dirty man. Idk why but i can tell which gods are your favourite just from this though its funny. @keeping-up-with-the-olympians
IF THE GODS HAD TUMBLR BLOGS
Aphrodite: You think you’ve seen a feminist blog? Think again. There are ~tasteful~ pictures of nipples left and right, quotes about body image and lots of empowered women. The title is: freethenip_keepthewhip Rupi Kaur would probably deem the blog too much, but somehow she manages to keep it to a sane level. Everyone follows her, even tho they all deny it. 10/10 inspirational as fuck
Hermes: He runs: yaboy-hermesss This blog is a mess. There is no such thing as a theme, or any kind of cohesion, the boy just reblogs what he likes. That’s it, that’s the only rule. It’s a shame he mostly only blogs when he’s high, so it’s a game of “will today be a motivational quotes over colorful sunsets OR Low-resolution pictures of literal houseplants in the dark” kinda day? 7.5/10 – if you’re high too, it’s the best thing you’ve seen all year
Dionysus: AKA: yourdaddywouldnever. The blog is pretty tame, it’s mostly just memes and an occasional photo of the latest shenanigans he’s gotten into. But he likes everything. EVERYTHING. From cat pics on Hephaestus’ blog to random selfies of Indian dudes, it seems like Dio uses the like button every time he takes a breath. 5.5/10 the blog itself is really mediocre
Hephaestus: Pictures. Of. Cats. Just so many cat pics. He recently began adding gifs to the mix. He names every kitten, and his tags are full of things like #fluff #meow #furryfriends. There is an occasional photo of him posing (but pretending to be natural) and some of those memes your aunt would post on facebook, tagged with three crying-laughing faces. The name is: hephaestus1 – “hephaestus was already taken” 9/10 gotta admit the kitties are cute as fuck
Hestia: Poetry blog. She uploads her own stuff and reblogs quotes from others, but the main purpose of tumblr for her is to get into debates about meaningless stuff in the comments. Her blog’s name is: lines_of_revolution 6.5/10 the poems are not bad actually, but for the love of everything, don’t tag her
Ares: His blog is mainly black and white images. He tries to maintain an aesthetic but sometimes it is too much for ADHD boiTM, and he spirals into a pit of sad and miserable quotes only. But when he’s doing good, the pictures are a very decent way of telling what mood he is in, and actually tell a pretty good story of his week. The blog name is: ares-godofwar 8/10 when he’s fine
Artemis: This is The Aesthetic Blog TM. Everything matches with everything. She keeps up themes that change every month, and there is not a post that’s out of order. The blog is so aesthetically pleasing, legends say you can not look at it for more than 15 minutes at a time or your life will fall apart and nothing will ever seem worthy of looking at again. Her blog is: goddessofperfection
Apollo: There is no good way of putting it, Apollo’s blog is a good ol’ pornblog. He strongly argues and puts it as some kind of “artistic choice” or “naturalistic expression” but that’s no way of fooling anyone when there are more naked butts on his page than on Burning Man. His username is: harp_me_up (he spent 3 weeks coming up with this name) 5/10 for the denial (just admit it bro)
Demeter: She runs: demeter-dontmakeatumblrplease. Now listen. I don’t have any explanation for this. But her blog is the funniest shit ever. In the history of time, it is the most hilarious thing to grace this blob of stone we call Earth. It is just straight up hysterical. It resonates with everyone. The things she reblogs and the things she posts herself. Quality content. This is what I’m here for. And by myself I mean everyone ever. 100000/10 would recommend
Athena: Song lyrics everywhere. She probably thinks the site is a knockoff karaoke bar. Her blog is the equivalent of every single time a song has gotten stuck into your head for two days. Besides that, it’s usually “intellectual” stuff such as quotes from famous thinkers, but just when you think there is more to that than annoying lyrics, a line from I Wanna Know What Love Is pops up and the illusion is ruined. Her blog is: itsa-kindof-magic 5/10 pretty boring (sorry)
Persephone: Pretty convinced that her site (queen_of_the_dead) is just a cover for some serious satanic shit. It’s straight up scary. Can’t really give a rating, cuz I’ve only looked it up once and it still haunts be, but let’s go with a 10/10 not to piss her off.
Hera: It’s a pretty standard hipster blog with the trademark pics of cozy coffee shops and those backpacks (you know, the ones you see on the back of a dude with a beard longer than your last relationship) in every color imaginable. The blog is: mom_friend101 It’s cute and sweet and reflects her personality very well. Lot’s of rolled up pants to reveal crazy patterned socks. All around great vibes. 9/10
Hades: Ah yes, the dog rating site. “how many TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT IT’S NOT A DOG RATING…!!” Ssssh, Hades, it’s okay. We all have a soft spot. A for effort for posting some other stuff once every month or so just to keep up the illusion. But it is what it is. His blog is: not-a-dog-rating-site JK, it’s actually: hatethis_hades 10/10 because it’s the best thing to come out of the grumpy old man (the dude gives every dog a max score)
Poseidon: Doesn’t get the concept of it, regularly confuses tumblr with twitter and posts his opinions nobody asked for. His username is: better-than-zeus, and he begins every single one of his posts with “Now guess what…” a strong 8/10 because he is actually pretty funny but no one will admit it, so don’t bring it up
Zeus:
AKA: zeusofficial Only posts about twice a year and it is always a link to some other site or article you know you’ll never read. -100/10, this is not your granddad’s facebook page, get it together man

I like PJO dont get me wrong but in actual mythology he likes snakes and goes on a whole ‘redemption arc’ after killing Python, which is why hes the god of healing and light. People turned to him for guidance.
Though its annoying PJO doesnt show this i do agree. I think about it too lol @glassamphibians
Snakes being sacred to Apollo,,, but also his worst enemy,,,, snakes’ venom being deadly,,, but also necessary for for the cure,,, Will having both plague and healing powers,,,, i am thinking extremely hard tonight

Amanda Gorman, the Youngest Inaugural Poet, Recites Her Work at President Joe Biden’s Inauguration
Amanda Gorman was the Inaugural National Youth Poet Laureate
Transcript Below:
When day comes we ask ourselves,
where can we find light in this never-ending shade?
The loss we carry,
a sea we must wade
We’ve braved the belly of the beast
We’ve learned that quiet isn’t always peace
And the norms and notions
of what just is
Isn’t always just-ice
And yet the dawn is ours
before we knew it
Somehow we do it
Somehow we’ve weathered and witnessed
a nation that isn’t broken
but simply unfinished
We the successors of a country and a time
Where a skinny Black girl
descended from slaves and raised by a single mother
can dream of becoming president
only to find herself reciting for one
And yes we are far from polished
far from pristine
but that doesn’t mean that we are
striving to form a union that is perfect
We are striving to forge a union with purpose
To compose a country committed to all cultures, colors, characters and
conditions of man.
And so we lift our gazes not to what stands between us
but what stands before us
We close the divide because we know, to put our future first,
we must first put our differences aside
We lay down our arms
so we can reach out our arms
to one another.
We seek harm to none and harmony for all
Let the globe, if nothing else, say this is true:
That even as we grieved, we grew
That even as we hurt, we hoped
That even as we tired, we tried
That we’ll forever be tied together, victorious
Not because we will never again know defeat
but because we will never again sow division
Scripture tells us to envision
that everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree
And no one shall make them afraid
If we’re to live up to our own time
Then victory won’t lie in the blade
But in all the bridges we’ve made
That is the promise to glade
The hill we climb
If only we dare
It’s because being American is more than a pride we inherit
it’s the past we step into
and how we repair it
We’ve seen a force that would shatter our nation
rather than share it
Would destroy our country if it meant delaying democracy
And this effort very nearly succeeded
But while democracy can be periodically delayed
it can never be permanently defeated
In this truth
in this faith we trust
For while we have our eyes on the future
history has its eyes on us
This is the era of just redemption
We feared at its inception
We did not feel prepared to be the heirs
of such a terrifying hour
but within it we found the power
to author a new chapter
To offer hope and laughter to ourselves
So while we once we asked,
how could we possibly prevail over catastrophe?
Now we assert
How could catastrophe possibly prevail over us?
We will not march back to what was
but move to what shall be
A country that is bruised but whole,
benevolent but bold,
fierce and free
We will not be turned around
or interrupted by intimidation
because we know our inaction and inertia
will be the inheritance of the next generation
Our blunders become their burdens
But one thing is certain:
If we merge mercy with might,
and might with right,
then love becomes our legacy
and change our children’s birthright
So let us leave behind a country
better than the one we were left with
Every breath from my bronze-pounded chest,
we will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one
We will rise from the gold-limbed hills of the west,
we will rise from the windswept northeast
where our forefathers first realized revolution
We will rise from the lake-rimmed cities of the midwestern states,
we will rise from the sunbaked south
We will rebuild, reconcile and recover
and every known nook of our nation and
every corner called our country,
our people diverse and beautiful will emerge,
battered and beautiful
When day comes we step out of the shade,
aflame and unafraid
The new dawn blooms as we free it
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it
If only we’re brave enough to be it
