"Dad, where's my team jacket?!" You ran around the house, simultaneously calling out for your father. When you checked your bedside clock it told you that you were already five minutes late for leaving. That was three minutes ago.
"El? Have you seen my jacket?" You tried your sister, hands up as you walked, finishing fixing your hair.
"The one from school?" Eleven peered from the couch.
"Yeah." You called back.
Hopper finished his coffee, placing the mug on the sink and fixing the collar on his shirt. "I told you it was hanging behind your bedroom door."
"Shit, shit." You mumbled under your breath, your socks almost making you slip as you ran back to your room. Today the school would be throwing a pep rally for the upcoming basketball game, and though it wasn't your favorite thing, you were on the cheerleading team.
Eleven beat you to it, meeting you halfway in the living room with your white and green Tigers jacket grasped in her hands. "Thanks, El." You pecked her cheek and raced towards the car outside.
"Got everything?" Your father asked amusedly as you closed the car's door, finally catching your breath.
With a once-over glance for your backpack and pom-poms, you breathed out a "yeah".
Hopper smiled and started the car, speeding up just a little more than usual towards the school.
The sun was starting to peek through the clouds when you arrived, announcing the start of a new day, you exited the car hugging your jacket closer to your body to chase away the cold morning air. Still managing to arrive about two minutes before the first bell rang, you watched as some students already made their way inside, while others were still sitting at the outside picnic tables or chatting in front of the building. The bus had just arrived before you, and you could hear Ms. Kelley telling everyone to head toward the gym.
You took a few steps forward before your gaze found a particular mop of brown hair. A small smile started to appear on your lips as you looked at Eddie from afar, he was leaning against the brick wall at the far end of the school. You saw the moment his eyes found you amidst the crowd as well, how his body tensed and he straightened his posture, not looking away.
You started walking towards him, having secretly been looking forward to meeting him again today. You were in the middle of raising your hand to wave at him when an arm was slung over your shoulder, making you jump.
"Almost thought you weren't coming today." Chrissy greeted you happily. The blonde girl was one of your best friends and the main reason you joined the cheerleading team as well.
"Well, I was almost late, but I wouldn't miss today, don't worry." You brought an arm around her waist, matching the smile she gave you. Her hold on you inevitably guided you straight to the gymnasium, you were only able to look back over your shoulder and see Eddie's eyes already on you; though he pretended he wasn't looking when you caught him.
Eddie's gaze slowly went back to you, he watched as you and Chrissy walked amongst all the other students, morning sun now shining bright on the school grounds. The boys from the basketball team were soon joining you and Chrissy in front of the gymnasium doors, Jason placing a kiss on his girlfriend's forehead and you receiving fist bumps and quick hugs from the players. Eddie shifted uncomfortably on his feet, feeling his stomach turn for seeing you be so cozy with all those douchebags. He wouldn't call it jealousy, maybe just envy.
Turning around abruptly, Eddie was ready to go kill time somewhere very far from the pep rally, until he heard the distant sound of your laugh amidst the many voices of students around him. He turned back around. You were messing around with your pom-poms, jumping on the spot while saying something probably funny that made your friends laugh. Eddie mumbled a curse under his breath, feeling the tune of his heart in his ears. How can someone be so beautiful even this far away?
Eddie never ever attended any of the games. Today, he entered the gymnasium with the other students.
A part of Eddie was expecting you to be the main girl on the cheer team, but no, you took on one of the simpler roles while Chrissy Cunningham took most of the attention. Eddie's eyes were glued on you the whole time though, from his place sitting by the far end of the bleachers, closest to the door.
You finished the presentation with a big smile, chest heaving from the exertion. The basketball players ran in, capturing everyone's attention and making people scream for them. As you made your way to sit down, you caught a glimpse of Eddie. Chrissy had to guide you out of the players' way with both hands on your shoulders. You'd never seen him attend any of the games.
When the ball started to be thrown around, you put your jacket back on and excused yourself from your friends. Mumbling excuses as you walked between the many other students sitting at the bleachers, you eventually reached Eddie.
He jumped slightly when you came to sit right beside him, his eyes widened significantly for half a second before you saw his throat working through a gulp as he masked his surprise.
Eddie's knee was bumping up and down, nerves making his palms sweat. He lost sight of you for a minute and next thing he knew, you were sitting so close he could feel the heat radiating from your body.
The players' sneakers were loud against the polished wood, one of them calling out to the rival team until the referee Intervened. It was all distant noise for Eddie, all the commotion of the other students cheering for the Tigers became a faded blur.
"Hi stranger, I don't think I've ever seen you in one of our games." You crossed your legs and sat more comfortably beside him, looking at his side profile with a smile.
He shot a glance your way, a small smirk coming to his lips. "Yeah well, you could say I'm not big on sports." He tugged on the ends of his vest to keep his hands busy.
"Why today?" You raised an eyebrow. Starting to realize that talking with Eddie was easy.
He hummed playfully, bringing one knee up to his chest. "I don't know, wanted a change of scenery." He rested his elbow on his knee and leaned his head down, his brown eyes were soft when he looked at you.
You chuckled, bumping your shoulder to his. "I'm glad you did then, gives me an excuse to stay away for a bit."
It was easy to pretend you were just two people who enjoyed each other's company, that there wasn't an immense social barrier that separated you. Eddie fidgeted with his silver rings. It would be so easy to pretend he wasn't himself. That for a moment he could hope to call you a friend, or something more…
His eyes drifted from you. He involuntarily curled in on himself when he saw two girls from the cheerleading team whispering in each other's ears, with wicked smiles as they looked at him without shame.
Eddie could feel the familiar grip on his throat and chest, the one he always tried to hide with witty remarks and a loud attitude. He gulped and looked away from you as he forced the words out; "um- is this some kind of prank or..?" He truly wished it wasn't, coming from you, the blow would be too hard.
You narrowed your eyes at him, tilting your head in confusion at his sudden serious tone. "This what?"
Eddie sucked in a shallow breath, turning his gaze back to you. "You, here. Talking to me." He gestures between the both of you, not wanting to voice his insecurities. "Because I don't-" I don't think I could take it. He shook his head slightly, turning towards the ongoing game. "I'm not in the mood right now."
"Uh, No?" You told him slowly, your eyes never leaving him. You could tell he was on edge, tapping his knee incessantly, with a set jaw and not looking at you. "Why would it be a prank?"
He chuckled halfheartedly at your words. "Are you serious?" His brown eyes finally turned to meet yours, despite it all, they never lost their gentleness. "I mean look at you, and… Look at me." The small, bittersweet smile he had, faded completely along with the volume of his words by the end.
Reality clicked on you like a knife to the heart, bleeding for this sweet boy you barely knew; and yet felt more comfortable with than you did with many other prissy girls from your class you had known for years. It was unfair, how the insults had made Eddie think of himself like that. How people called him a freak based on boring standards that he refused to meet, and never got a chance to meet the person behind it.
You pursed your lips, exhaling through your nose before speaking. "I enjoy hanging out with you, Eddie." Your words made him furrow his eyebrows at you.
"Truly, I do," you insisted. "And I couldn't care less about what the others think, or say. Nice people are hard to find in Hawkins High." You smirked, feeling your cheeks heat up. "I was just lucky enough to bump into one in the library."
Eddie could feel the air leaving his lungs momentarily with your words. His mind has been wired to expect rejection for so long, that he had no reaction.
"But, I don't want to make you uncomfortable. Just say the word and I'll leave you alone." You promised quietly, waiting eagerly for him to say anything.
The feelings bubbling inside Eddie's chest were something foreign to him, he wondered for a moment if that's what being loved felt like. "No, you- you could never make me uncomfortable." His words stumbled out through a tender smile, feeling his skin prickle with excitement.
An award-winning smile graced your lips as well, and Eddie almost fainted on the spot for being the reason behind it. You opened your mouth to say something, but Chrissy called out for you before you could.
You turned to her, shouting that you'd be there in a second. When you looked back at Eddie, his lips still held that same soft tilt to them, you'd never have imagined he would have been so… Alluring.
"You don't seem too excited." He observed.
You just shrugged. "It's not my favorite thing to do, I'll be honest."
His gaze weighted on you, but it wasn't a bad feeling. You could feel him moving barely an inch closer. "Why do it then?"
You took a deep breath, picking at the ends of your hair. "Well, I joined because of my friend, and now, I feel like can't just quit, y'know?" There was always a lingering fear of judgment if you did less of what people expect from you.
Eddie studied you with a look in his eyes you couldn't name.
"We'll talk again after the game then?" You prompted with a small curl of lips.
A surge of courage, or, maybe plain stupidity; mixed with the trance only you could put him in, made Eddie reach out a timid hand to tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear. Just so he could have a clear view of your eyes. Or so he told himself. "I'll be waiting."
You walked away from him against your will. With a hammering heart on your chest for the school's biggest outcast.

7:30AM on a Sunday morning.
summary: It’s a morning like no other, except this one is special, because Eddie says his first ‘I love you’ to you.
word count: 848
warnings: fluff, so much tooth rooting fluff.
a/n: fuck you stranger things for making me get so attached to a character like this then do him dirty I’m :( anyway, here’s some fluff.
Eddie had met you on your first day when you had transferred to hawkins high, you were running a bit late, trying to find your class and you had to meet with the principal beforehand, you both had somehow walked into each other. Your books had fallen to the ground and eddie bent down to help pick them up for you. Your eyes met briefly and it was like a scene out of a romance movie, he was immediately in love and so were you.
From there on, he had asked you out to many dates to come. Your favourite kind of dates with eddie have always been the movie night drive in, where you get to cuddle up close to him, with his warmth, his energy you felt safe. He always made you feel loved and safe.

W.I.P. Whenever
@romirola tagged me for this a little while ago and I’m finally getting around to sharing something oops! Thanks for the tag!
I have a little fic I’ve been thinking about for a while, and I’m finally writing it now since I actually have motivation and inspiration! This fic is a songfic based on the song all my ghosts by Lizzy McAlpine. It’s one of my favorites of her songs, and the second I heard it I knew it fit Gavin and the Freelancer perfectly, so..... I had to write it eventually.
As always, the Freelancer is written as gender neutral in this :)
Also! Anyone who reads this can participate in the W.I.P. Whenever. I never know who to tag in these things so please feel free to participate and tag me back so I can read them :)
--------------
We made sangria and failed
I spilled mac and cheese on my pants
And thought about kissing you underneath kitchen lights.
“I think this is the shittiest sangria I’ve ever had,” Gavin admits, but still lifts the glass up to his lips to take another sip, making me throw my head back with laughter.
“I told you I didn’t have the right stuff to make them, but you insisted we try anyways,” I say over my shoulder at him where he’s leaning back against the counter. I take a sip from my own sangria before continuing stirring the mac and cheese on the stove.
“I thought you could use the break from your incessant studying, Deviant.”
I roll my eyes with a smile, glad I’m facing away from him so he can’t see. “Well at least this seems slightly more productive than your plans from last time I was studying.”
“Oh please, you liked my plans,” Gavin teases.
“Did not,” I try to bite back my smile, but it’s no use because I know he can feel that I did.
“We both know I know that’s not true.” I feel Gavin come up behind me, his chest almost touching my back.
“I think the mac and cheese is done!” I change the subject, turning around to face him and hold out a spoonful of the mac and cheese.
Gavin had his mouth open to say something else but closes it with a knowing smirk before closing his mouth around the spoon and tasting the food.
“Mm… this is pretty good, I’m surprised.”
“You should not be surprised. I’m a good cook!”
I dish up two bowls for us and hop up to sit on the counter, handing Gavin his bowl.
“You’re such an interesting character, Voyeur,” Gavin says and takes a bite of his noodles.
“Says you.” I bring my spoon up to my mouth to take a bite— “No, really. You’re not what I expected in that 7-11.”
That makes me pause.
“You’re surprisingly dedicated to your schoolwork at DAMN. It’s admirable,” he continues. “You’ve already come a lot farther than I thought you would.”
I stare up at him. He’s so close, almost standing between my legs. Up close, I can really examine him. In addition to the few moles on his face, there are a few spots across his cheeks that are slightly darker than the rest of his skin. They could be additional freckles if he spent more time in the sun, if incubi even tan like humans do. There is a strange depth to the magenta of his iris, and it, along with his long lashes and soft stare, draw you in. Somehow, even under the dingy kitchen lighting, he’s alluring.
Something in my chest flutters and I want to lean in and kiss him; press my lips to his and feel their softness once again. But I can’t, it would be too serious, too real. That night he came over to help me “study” wasn’t real. I wasn’t vulnerable, I was just helping an incubus feed and helping myself feel good. Right here, right now, he could reject this very real impulse. So I won’t do it.
Before I can come up with an excuse as to why I’ve been staring at him for so long, a small “plop” sound interrupts me. I look down, seeing the mac and cheese from my spoon has fallen onto my brand new jeans. I look back up at Gavin and break out into laughter.
“Look what you made me do! What if this stains my jeans?” I ask, still laughing.
“What I made you do? Last time I checked, I didn’t take the spoon and force you to spill on yourself,” he quickly defends.
I shove him playfully, “I think you did.”
And the moment is no longer serious, and I no longer have anything to lose.

Should’ve Shown You Sooner - Part 2
Part One
Pairing: Eddie Munson x gn!Reader (Stranger Things)
Summary: You’re dating Eddie now, and he has something to tell you about his tattoos.
Words: ~1.1k
Contains: Cursing, making out, fluff, no spoilers
A/N: Just a little bonus chapter since I wanted to add a little more and my friend encouraged me to write this idea.
—————————————————————————
“Hey,” you say, smiling up at your boyfriend and allowing him into your home.
“Hey,” he responds before stepping inside and leaning down to kiss you. His hands come to your waist and yours come to the back of his neck as if you could pull him any closer. You feel Eddie begin to smile against your lips as he takes a few steps forwards, causing your back to softly come into contact with your kitchen cabinets.
“Eddie,” you laugh between kisses. He tries to hold back his own laughter in favor of keeping his lips on yours, but ultimately fails and pulls away just enough to rest his forehead against yours and look you in the eyes.
“Where’ve you been today? I came by yours earlier and no one was there,” you ask, looking between those big brown eyes that drive you crazy in the best way.
“I’ve just been running errands, you know… normal stuff,” Eddie says with a lopsided smile.
“‘Normal stuff’ huh?”
“Yep.” He pops the ‘P’ at the end of the word. “Now are we gonna go to your room or…. should I keep kissing you here?”
“Oh my god, come on.” You roll your eyes and grab Eddie’s hand, pulling him down the hall and to your room. You close your door behind you and pull Eddie onto your bed so you can lay on him while you talk.
“How was your day?” He asks as you make yourself comfortable resting your head on his arm and throwing a leg over his, while he rests one of his hands on your waist, stroking his thumb across the skin where your shirt rode up.
You sigh a contented sigh, “It was good. I cleaned the kitchen and my room, and I was planning on cooking later before my mom gets home.”
“You should’ve broken into my house and cleaned my room for me.” “Honestly I should have, with how dirty it is and how little you clean it.”
Eddie fakes an offended gasp. “You dare insult me?”
You laugh and wrap an arm around his neck. “Yes, I do dare.”
“I thought us dating meant you’re supposed to be nice to me now.”
“I am very nice to you.”
You tilt your head up and close the gap between the two of you with a long, slow kiss. Eddie returns the kiss, gripping your waist slightly tighter, and you feel his rings leaving indents in your skin, but you have to admit you don’t mind it. You start to move your lips faster against Eddie’s, and he is more than happy to adapt to the change. He shifts up onto one forearm to hold his body over yours, his long hair dangling on either side of your face and tickling your cheeks. Eddie keeps that other hand on your waist, still moving his thumb back and forth across your skin, a habit he has that you eventually picked up on. As the two of you get more into the kiss, Eddie lightly biting on your bottom lip, you slowly push your hands up the bottom of his shirt and allow your hands to explore his lower torso. You start to raise your hands higher on his chest, but Eddie pulls away for a moment.
“Wait,” he says between heavy breaths.
You quickly pull your hands away from him, worried that you made him uncomfortable. “Are you okay, Eds? Did I make you uncomfortable?” You ask.
“No,” Eddie’s eyebrows shoot up as he looks into your eyes, “no, no, no. You didn’t do anything wrong. I just…”
He sits back for a moment and you prop yourself up on your elbows behind you, wanting to give his words the proper attention.
“You know how you’ve finally seen all of my tattoos?” Eddie asks. You furrow your eyebrows.
“Yeah…?” You’re confused by the sudden topic of conversation.
“Well… there’s actually one more you haven’t seen. And I wanted to show you.” He smiles softly at you, and while you’re still a bit confused, you chuckle at how adorable he is.
“Okay. I’d love to see it,” you smile back at him.
“Well then I must oblige,” Eddie grins and pulls his shirt off over his head. He flips his hair back as he leans back upright and your eyes are immediately drawn to a tattoo on the left side of his chest, right above his heart, where the ink is clearly fresh and the skin around it is slightly red. You quickly sit up, reaching out a hand but not quite touching the tattoo, knowing that it could still be tender.
“Well… do you like it?” Eddie asks, you can tell from his voice that he’s a bit nervous. Your eyes finally flick from his chest up to his eyes, which are looking at you expectantly. You probably look like an idiot, your mouth is hanging open slightly and your eyes are wide.
“Did you… did you get a tattoo of my favorite flower?” you ask, looking back down at the inked flower. The petals are incredibly detailed, with beautiful line variation and shading, and you can tell it was tattooed with care.
Eddie laughs nervously. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, I did.” He pauses for a moment. “Shit, you hate it… I’m sorry, I’ll just go… rip my skin off for you.” You can tell he’s half joking and half actually worried you hate it.
“No! Eddie, this is… so sweet. It looks amazing, I can’t believe you got this done. I love it so much.” You look back up at him once again and see relief on his features, which is then quickly replaced by concern when he notices the tears welling up in your eyes.
“Yeah? You really like it?” He lifts a hand to your cheek, ready to wipe away tears at a moment’s notice.
“Yes, oh my god,” you laugh through the tears threatening to spill and quickly pull Eddie into a hug, careful not to mess up the protective wrapping on top of the tattoo. Eddie wraps his own arms tightly around you, pressing his face into the side of your neck.
“You are so corny, you know that?” You tease.
“Yeah, I know. It’s my dirty little secret.” You feel him smile against your neck and when he lets out a deep breath, the air tickles your skin. “I’m also really fucking glad you like it, otherwise this would’ve been really embarrassing.”
You both laugh at that. After a couple more seconds, you finally pull away.
“Is this what you were really doing today?” you ask.
“Maybe…” Eddie scratches the back of his neck.
“You dork, you’re so sweet.”
You fall back on the bed, pulling Eddie down to lay back next to you like before. You stare at him for a minute, a huge grin adorning your face, while admiring the smile on his face as well. “I love you,” you tell him.
“I love you too,” he replies.
And he presses his lips to yours once again.

Moonstruck - Part 1
Eddie Munson x Reader
Series Summary: Eddie knew he was doomed the moment his eyes landed on you and his heart jumped in his chest. You, princess of Hawkins High, one of the most popular and beloved girls of the school, with perfect grades and perfect charisma; and the daughter of Hawkins chief of police.
Requested by anon: Could I request a Eddie Munson (or Billy Hargrove) x Hopper reader? You can really do anything you want with this, I just love seeing the x Hopper stories!!
A/N: The much-needed Eddie fluff we all deserve after the disaster that was vol 2, my heart hurts for him, it's been a while since I felt like this for someone, I love him so much and I found comfort in this story that I already love, and I hope you will as well. Requests for this absolute angel are open, send them in if you have any. <3 I understand that it will be difficult for some people to see themselves as Hopper's daughter, but know that I wrote this imagining that he adopted her when she was younger. And yeah maybe the popular/loser trope is overused already but I couldn't care less :P.

Eddie hated himself for it, how his gaze drifted back to her every time he wasn't talking with his friends; how he'd momentarily forget to chew on his lunch when she'd merely look his general way. He hated how beautiful she looked smiling with her friends all the way on the other side of the lunchroom; he hated how he had fallen for none other than the princess of Hawkins High.
"Eddie, are you listening?" Dustin snapped his fingers in front of Eddie.
He blinked, forcing his eyes to focus on the boy in front of him. The sounds of the mixed voices of students talking and laughing, sneakers scratching the ground, lunch trays hitting tables and faint singing of birds outside tuned back to Eddie's ears as the image of you became a distant blur when he averted his gaze.
"Yeah man, what's up?" Eddie popped another cashew into his mouth.
"I asked, what time is Hellfire tonight?" Dustin asked with big eyes, excited to battle the new monster they encountered in their last session. "You still haven't confirmed and I'm dying to kill that beast."
A smirk came to Eddie's lips, he furrowed his eyebrows pretending to think about it. "I'd say we meet at seven, I still have to stop by the library to pick up a chemistry book."
"You're studying?" Mike, who sat beside Dustin, chuckled at the thought of Eddie with his head buried in a book.
"Yeah, what of it, Wheeler?" Eddie jabbed back, leaning over the table and closer to Mike, making the boy shut his mouth promptly. "Mr. Anderson gave us a fucking assignment and I need to pass, just so I can shove my diploma on his face."
Eddie slumped back in his seat, the grin never leaving his face. "This is my year, guys." His smile faltered slightly when you came into his view, walking past his table and towards the exit; the afternoon sun making your hair and eyes shine. Eddie exhaled softly, he was such a loser. Deep down he knew you didn't even know his name, probably didn't even know he existed.
"… It's my year." He repeated to himself, looking away just before you walked out the door.
_____
The last bell rang indicating the end of classes for the day, students exited their classrooms in masses, chatting in the school corridors; some stopping by their lockers and others making a beeline for the parking lot.
Eddie did neither, he slung his worn backpack over his shoulder and walked through the less populated corridors towards the school's library. He passed by only a few other students, not missing the judgemental stares he received from some of them. He didn't bother meeting any of their gazes, amidst a crowd he had no problem in creating a commotion; but alone, he preferred to keep to himself. Deep down the title of being the school's freak was a heavy one to carry.
He opened the library doors, making them creak as they moved. An older woman looked up at him through her glasses, he gave her a nod with a tight-lipped smile. The library wasn't huge by any means, filled with a few rows of shelves loaded with mostly outdated books, with two big windows on the right wall to allow some natural light in and three round tables by the middle of the room for whoever felt like studying here.
The late afternoon sunlight barely peeking through the clouds cast an orange glow over the bookshelves, making dust particles fill the air as Eddie walked by.
His eyes scanned the paper labels taped to each shelf in search of chemistry books. Scrunching his nose in annoyance when he couldn't find anything.
"Excuse me?" A soft voice called Eddie's attention, making him turn his head only to be met with the person he'd been longingly watching throughout the year.
"It's Eddie, right?" You said his name with a small smile, taking half a step towards him. His mouth went dry at the same time his heart sped up.
"Um-" Eddie mentally kicked himself for forgetting how to form words, his brain still going haywire at the fact you knew his name. He settled for an overexcited nod.
"Could you maybe give me hand in reaching a book? It's way up and I'll probably knock the whole shelf to the ground if I keep trying to reach it myself." You chuckled, mindlessly pointing behind you with your thumb.
Your soft laugh brought heat to Eddie's cheeks. He blushed, he fucking blushed and he felt like a thirteen-year-old boy for it; but the timid smile on his lips let it show he was loving every second. "Yeah, of course."
You walked back to the row of shelves you came from, Eddie trailing right behind you. "It's that blue one right over there." You pointed up to a thick blue and white book that collected dust high up on the wooden shelf.
Eddie glanced up, dropping his backpack and standing up on his tippy toes. The tip of his fingers closed around the book and urged it to fall forward on his hand. With said book in hand, he passed his palm on the hardcover to reveal the title; it read 'Chemistry, second year and up'.
He handed the book to you, not caring that this was the same one he came here for.
"Thank you so much." You beamed, storing the book inside your backpack with a relieved smile.
Eddie picked up his own backpack, gripping tightly into the strap once it rested over his shoulder, burying his other hand in the pocket of his pants to stop it from fidgeting. "It's no problem."
"What were you looking for?" Pushing some strands of hair behind your ear, your gaze never left him. Up close, he was quite handsome. His big and gentle brown eyes captured your attention, making you not want to look away. Your friends spoke of him as if he was this freak, someone not worth sparing a glance towards and deserving of mean insults. You never really agreed.
"It was uh- just a literature book," Eddie said the first thing he thought of, averting his gaze for a second to stop the twirling in his stomach. Were you really making conversation with him?
"Already got it, nothing exciting." He chuckled nervously and patted the strap of his backpack.
"Nice, let's go then." You smirked at the flush on his cheeks, walking around him and turning backward when he didn't move.
"Go… ?" He furrowed his eyebrows in the most adorable lost look you'd ever seen, making you full-on smile.
"Leave. My dad is waiting outside and I suppose you're going home as well?"
Eddie's mouth opened and closed once as he thought of what to answer. Did you really want to be seen walking around with him? Even if most students were gone by now, heads would be turned if people saw you two walking side by side.
You raised an eyebrow at him, making Eddie slightly shake his head. "S-sure, I'm leaving too."
Walking the school hallways with less than a meter between him and you was something Eddie never thought would happen. The school was mostly empty by now, only a few scattered first years remained.
Eddie kept a safe distance from you as you walked, being extra careful to not overstep any boundaries and mess up the last little moments he had with you; which he would sure be replaying in his mind like a fool later on.
You kept rambling on to him about the chemistry assignment, the same one he would have to make. The hand gripping his backpack strap tightened on its hold, a faint smile was now permanent on his lips. He held on to every word you were saying, treasuring the way your voice sounded directed at him deep inside his heart. Sure this would be a one-off event yet feeling elated nonetheless.
Until the main school doors opened, and the real world greeted him with a slap on the face. His skin became a few shades paler when his eyes landed on the brown car parked further in the parking lot. The words 'Chief of Police' stood out proudly against the car's paint.
Princess of Hawkins High, one of the most popular and beloved girls of the school, with perfect grades and perfect charisma; and the daughter of Hawkins chief of police. The fact had been blurred inside Eddie's mind with your presence beside him. Yet now he could only imagine how much Hopper was wishing to kill him only for standing close to you.
"Thank you again for the book." You turned to Eddie, reaching a hand out to touch his forearm.
He shuddered under your unexpected touch, feeling goosebumps already crawling on his skin. He gulped, brown eyes looking at you with something akin to yearning.
"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" You took a few steps backward and away from him, giving him a small wave and smile of goodbye.
"I- yeah, see you, sure," Eddie called out, his voice losing volume by the end; being able to see Hopper boring his eyes into his soul from inside the car. He risked a last glance at your back, feeling his heart clenching inside his chest for having a taste of something that could never be his.
Eddie walked about four steps before stopping abruptly. Did you just say 'see you tomorrow'?
You plopped into the passenger seat, greeting your dad warmly with a kiss on his cheek.
Hopper took your backpack from you and threw it onto the backseat, his gaze moving to the retreating figure of Eddie. "Are you friends with that guy?"
You glanced in the same way, pursing your lips in thought before answering. "I guess so, why?"
"Hmm, looks like trouble," Hopper grumbled.
You turned to him with a glare, you knew it was just his protective side but it still didn't make it fair. "Dad, stop judging people by their looks, he's actually really sweet."
"Just be careful is all I'm saying." Hopper raised a hand in surrender, shooting you a soft glance as he started the car.
Your eyes drifted back towards the school grounds, now empty, you kept your gaze until the car turned the street and the building disappeared. Your mind replayed the image of his kind brown eyes and alluring smile. Really sweet indeed.

A/N: I mean it when I say that Eddie has the kindest, most beautiful brown eyes, okay? Anyway, hope you liked the first part, the next one might take a while to be posted because I'm still thinking about how to proceed from now on.
Feedback and reblogs are very much appreciated. <3

I just finished season 2 and let’s just say I haven’t stopped crying
It Can’t Be
A/N: Writing will always be my coping mechanism. I don’t care what anyone else says. Eddie Munson is alive and well. Period.
Summary: Nothing on earth will ever take Eddie Munson away from you, not even an army of bloodthirsty, flesh-eating demobats in the Upside Down.
Pairing: Eddie Munson × fem!reader
Warnings: mentions of blood and death, minor swearing
*GIF not mine. Reblogged from @dailyflicks
Tumblr media
“EDDIE!” You and Dustin screamed at the top of your lungs as both of you hurried towards the injured man lying on the wet and demobat-infested road. Dustin was limping next to you, so you took his arm over your shoulder and assisted him.
Eddie wasn’t moving, so naturally, a wave of thoughts crashed inside your head.
He couldn’t be dead.
He’s a lot stronger than that.
When you finally reached his side, you immediately crouched down next to him and cradled him in your arms. His eyes were wide open, and his mouth was covered in blood. As soon as his gaze fell on you, his lips twitched upwards in a smile.
“Hey, Y/N.” he breathed out, a tear falling down his cheek. You reciprocated his smile, stroking his cheek to wipe the tear and some blood off his face.
“Hey, Eds.” you responded as your hand massaged his scalp, making him shut his eyes at the sensation. As he opened his eyes again, he saw Dustin next to him, raising his hand slightly to give him a fist bump.
“I didn’t r-run away t-this time, right?” Eddie inquired, though his voice was still barely above a whisper. It broke your heart knowing he still doubted himself like that, despite how evident it was that he was indeed a hero. Both of you nodded your head, a downward smile gracing your lips as you continued to stare down at him.
“Yeah, you did great, Eddie.” You said reassuringly, tears brimming your own eyes.
“D-did you like the so-song I played earlier?” he asked you, an expectant look on his face. You temporarily closed your eyes before meeting his gaze again. “
"Yeah, very metal. I loved it. Metallica, right?” Your response seemed to hit bullseye for Eddie because he leaned back down with a satisfied smile on his face, yet winced slightly when a stinging sensation shot through his torso. “The one and only.” he replied breathlessly.

Should’ve Shown You Sooner
Pairing: Eddie Munson x gn!Reader (Stranger Things)
Summary: You and Eddie Munson have been friends for four years, yet you've never seen all of his tattoos. On a night you impulsively pierce Eddie's ear, you decide to ask about his tattoos.
Words: ~2.7k
Contains: underage drinking, cursing, the act of piercing an ear at home, fluff, no spoilers
A/N: I hope you enjoy this and I hope I did Eddie justice! Please enjoy :)
—————————————————————————
As soon as you return home from school and your extracurriculars for the day, you toss your bag just inside the door of your trailer and ignore your homework in favor of going directly to your best friend, Eddie Munson’s, trailer just across the road. You hang out with him almost every day, so when you arrive at the door, you don’t even bother knocking. At this point, both Eddie and his uncle expect it.
“Y/n, you’re late today,” a voice startles you briefly when you open the door and Wayne is standing directly on the other side of it.
“Oh! Yeah, I joined the art club recently just to try it out and today was the first day I stayed after school for it,” you answer with a smile. “Are you headed out for work?”
Wayne nods in response. “Always working. You kids stay out of trouble,” he says before sliding past you and heading to his car.
“We’ll try!” You call out before going inside.
After making sure the door closes behind you, you skip your way to your friend’s room, swinging the door open quite vigorously. “I’m here!”
“Took you long enough, I thought I was gonna have to eat all of your favorite snacks all by myself,” Eddie says, sitting up from his slouched position on his bed and hanging the guitar he had been plucking at back on the wall in its usual spot.
“Oh shut up, you know I would’ve killed you,” you say with a laugh and an eye roll and then belly flop onto Eddie’s bed.
“Hey, get your shoes off of my bed!” Eddie shoves your feet off the edge.
“Like your bed hasn’t experienced worse than my shoes? I’m pretty sure they’re the cleanest things on here right now.”
He stares at you pointedly. “Fair.”
Eddie’s response makes you laugh. A nice, genuine laugh that makes you feel bubbly. Something only Eddie is capable of causing in you. With a grin still on your face, you take your shoes off and toss them onto the floor and turn back around to face Eddie, your head resting on your hand as you look up at him.
“So. Are you still letting me pierce your ear?” you ask.
“Hell yeah, I’m gonna look great.”
“And all thanks to me,” you say with a proud smile.
“Well don’t say that yet, you might fuck it up.”
“I’m not going to fuck it up!”
The two of you gather all of the things you need to pierce Eddie’s ear: some rubbing alcohol, some drinking alcohol, ice, a needle, an earring Eddie picked out, and a cloth (plus your snacks to the side for when you’re done). The two of you situate back on his bed, with you sitting between Eddie’s legs to easily be able to do the piercing.
“Are you ready?” you ask as you dunk some rubbing alcohol onto the cloth and use it to clean the needle. You eye Eddie as he takes a swig from some bottle of whiskey his uncle had over the fridge.
“Yes,” he answers, taking a deep breath. You set the clean needle to the side and clean Eddie’s earlobe off as well, hopefully making sure he doesn’t get an infection from this. You also hand him the ice to numb his ear while you take your own swig from the bottle.
“Just don’t… hurt me,” he adds.
“It does not hurt that bad, you big baby.”
“See the thing is, I don’t really believe you.”
You give him a look. “Would I ever lie to you, Eds?”
“Yes, I think you would.”
“You better shut up or I’m going to make it hurt.” You gently move his hand away from his ear and pick up the needle to begin.
“Wait!” Eddie leans back away from you, grabbing the whiskey bottle and once again taking a drink. “Okay I’m ready now.”
“Oh my god,” you laugh. “I’m piercing your ear, not cutting your leg off, it’s not going to hurt that bad.”
“I still don’t believe you, you’re just a freak who likes the pain of ear piercings.”
You roll your eyes. “Look, I’d let you squeeze my hand, since it seems like you need that, but I need both of them to do this.”
“Shut up and do it,” he says.
“Alright.” You bring the needle close to his ear and count down from three, stabbing the needle through his ear once you get to one. Eddie lets out a string of curses, causing you to crack a small smile. You set the needle down on the cloth and put the clean earring in his ear.
“There, it’s all done and you look great, as promised. Go look in the mirror.”
Eddie nods silently and gets up to go to the bathroom and look at his brand new piercing. By the time he comes back, you’ve cleaned the materials off of his bed and are eating some cheetos.
“Do you like it?” you ask, voice muffled from the multiple cheetos in your mouth.
“Yeah, you actually did pretty good. Thank you,” he says.
“Told you.”
The two of you spend an hour or two chatting about random stuff, eating snacks, and Eddie even shows you a bit of a song he’s writing. He doesn’t sing any lyrics, he never does before they’re finished, but he shows you the chord progression on his guitar and a very cool riff. Eventually you begin discussing Eddie’s new piercing and then a new tattoo he’s thinking about.
“I think I want to get another tattoo, I was thinking of getting it on my side,” Eddie tells you, moving his hand that isn’t still holding his ear to feel along where his shirt covers his side. His hair messily falls in his face, somehow making him look cuter than usual. You have to pause to take it in.
“Yeah?” You ask, breaking the silence with a crunch of stuffing another cheeto in your mouth. “What do you think you’ll get?”
A grin appears on Eddie’s face and you can’t help but think it fits nicely there. “Well, I was thinking about getting a snake or something, but I’m not sure.”
“Hm…”
“What?”
“I think you should get a little flower,” you smirk.
“A flower?”
“Yeah, or my face,” you tease, getting close to his face before laying back down flat, still grinning up at him.
“You want me,” he pauses, “to get a flower tattooed on my body?”
You nod and he laughs a short laugh, amused by your antics.
“Permanently? You know that wouldn’t match with the rest of my tattoos, right? You’re smart enough to realize that?” Eddie looks at you teasingly.
“Yes!” You laugh through your words. “You know technically… we have been friends for four years and I have never actually seen all of your tattoos. So really, how would I know if a flower didn’t match?”
He furrows his brows. “No. Thaaat’s not right. You’ve definitely seen them, I would know.”
“I have not, you shithead!”
“Shithead? You’re the shithead!” Eddie grabs both of your hands and starts trying to wrestle you off the bed. However, you’re laughing so hard that you can’t really fight back at this point.
“Eddie! Eddie, stop!” You attempt to push at his chest and when that doesn’t work, you switch tactics, trying to just keep your knees in front of you. When you practically can’t breathe anymore and the top half of your body is almost hanging off the side, Eddie finally stops and pulls you back up to a sitting position.
Eddie sits back against the wall, pushing up his sleeves above his elbows, and looks away to the side as if trying to rack his mind, and he looks back over at you asking: “Have you really not seen them?”
“No! I’m not a liar, idiot.” Your eyes find their way to the tattoos along Eddie’s forearms. You’ve always liked his grunge-y tattoos and the gothic rings he wears. He may not be the most fashionable person, but he definitely has a consistent style that just… matches him. It’s something that’s always drawn you to him. Both the mysterious quality of it and the way he doesn’t care what others think about him, he’s going to express himself how he wants.
You must’ve been staring at his arms for a while, because Eddie clears his throat and looks at you with raised eyebrows.
“Do you… want to see them?” he asks tentatively.
“I— well, I mean I’ve always been curious as to what they are but you don’t… have to show me,” you swallow hard, suddenly nervous.
Eddie shrugs, briefly glancing away from you, one of his hands playing with the hem of his shirt. “It doesn’t really matter to me, I don’t mind.”
“Okay… sure.”
“Yeah?”
You nod as a final response and Eddie mutters a quiet “okay” and begins tugging his shirt off, lightly tossing it to the end of his bed once he’s managed to get it off. You try not to stare at his body too much, but you’re also way too flustered to make prolonged eye contact with him. You’ve thought about Eddie Munson shirtless way too often to feel fully comfortable looking him in the eye right now.
You hesitantly reach out to touch his left arm, but you stop just before you make contact, your fingers barely ghosting his now bare skin.
“Can I…?” you ask, trailing off before completing your sentence.
Eddie clears his throat once again. “Yeah, go ahead.”
You let your hand touch his arm, lightly guiding him to turn it outwards so you can see the knife tattooed on his inner bicep.
“A knife? Very cool, Eddie,” you quietly tease, trying to lighten the tension, and glance up at his face, briefly making eye contact before you turn your attention back to his arm.
He laughs. “Yeah, I, uh… that was the first tattoo I got back when I thought I was tough shit for getting some guy to tattoo me even though I was fourteen, but looking back I’m pretty sure he did not care that I was underage.”
You smile at the story. That definitely sounds like Eddie. With some of the awkwardness subsiding, you scooch a little closer to him and your eye catches sight of an electric guitar on his right shoulder.
“Of course you have a guitar tattoo,” you say, touching the tattoo when you point it out. Eddie turns a little so you have a better view.
“Oh yeah, that one I kinda regret.”
“Why?” you ask, raising a brow. He loves guitar and the tattoo itself looks good, so you don’t understand why he would regret it.
“Well I got it when I just started playing, so I didn’t have my Sweetheart yet,” Eddie looks over his shoulder at the guitar on his wall. “I would’ve gotten her rather than some random guitar. But oh well, I still like it. Annnd I can always get another one.”
“I think it would be very fitting to have a tattoo of your guitar.”
“Oh, I also have this one on my back,” he twists to face behind him as best as he can to show you the d20 he has tattooed on his right shoulder blade.
“That is… so very you. And incredibly nerdy,” you admit.
Eddie turns back around to look you in the eye. “Hey, I am not a nerd.”
“You totally are, you can’t deny it.”
He playfully rolls his eyes and the two of you return to silence as you continue scanning over the tattoos. Your attention becomes focused on the tattoos that Eddie has on his chest and stomach. You trail your hand across his arm and to his upper chest, tracing the designs of the ink there. Eddie’s skin is surprisingly soft under your fingertips. You pause with your hand on his chest, feeling the rise and fall of it as he breathes. You wonder if you would feel a sped up heart rate if your hand was on the other side of his chest, if it would match the speed of yours.
Your gaze travels up from the tattoo on his chest to the guitar-pick-necklace he always wears resting in the hollow space between his collar bones. Your eyes follow the curve of his neck up to his lips. They’re slightly chapped, but they still look like they would be soft and sweet against yours. Your own lips part slightly as you take a deep breath before finally looking up into those soft brown eyes of Eddie’s, which you find to be seemingly focused on your mouth.
“Eddie?” you whisper, breaking him out of his trance and he returns your gaze.
“Yeah?” he whispers back.
“Can I… can I kiss you?” you ask, feeling your hand shaking slightly against his chest.
Eddie slowly nods, glancing down at your lips then back up at your eyes. “Yeah… yeah, you can.”
You lean in and close your eyes, Eddie meeting you halfway and pressing his lips to yours. His lips are soft and they seem to fit perfectly against yours. He seems to hesitate for a moment, but soon deepens the kiss by carefully wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer. You press your hand more firmly to his bare chest, stabilizing yourself, and trail your other hand up his left arm to rest on his bicep as you kiss him more passionately.
From Eddie’s edgy and harsh appearance, you’d expect him to be rough and heated, but he’s not. He’s gentle and slow, cherishing the contact with you, cherishing the moment he’s been waiting for the past four years. He should’ve shown you his tattoos sooner if this is what it was always bound to lead to.
You can’t help but get lost in the kiss and the way it feels to finally be having this moment with Eddie. You befriended Eddie your freshman year, and fell for him shortly after. And it was just years of stolen glances and vague flirting after. He’s never been popular by any means, but you’ve always thought that he’s a genuinely interesting person and someone who’s fun to be around. Someone who makes you happy and makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin. You owe a lot of who you are today to Eddie and you think that might go both ways. So now that you’re finally here, kissing someone you’ve always had a thing for and always admired, you think your chest could practically rip open at any second, or your brain could just stop functioning and you could faint in his arms. And when it ends, the kiss simultaneously feels like it lasts a lifetime, but also like it’s way too short.
A harsh knock sounds on the outside of the trailer, startling the two of you apart. A voice calls your name and you soon realize that it’s your mom.
“You need to come make dinner! I’ve got my hands full with the neighbor’s kid!” she yells. Right. You forgot that one of your neighbors has been taking extra shifts at work this week and your mom has been watching her toddler in the evenings.
“Coming!” you yell back. You let out a sigh, not particularly wanting to leave Eddie’s after what just happened between you two, but knowing you’ll get yelled at if you don’t leave at this point. You turn back to him as you get up from his bed. You awkwardly scratch at the back of your neck, not really knowing what to say now.
“I guess I’ll… see you tomorrow?” you say, and it comes out as more of a question.
Eddie nods, fiddling with his rings. “Yeah… see you tomorrow.”
You turn to leave, taking a few steps towards his bedroom door, but pause for a moment. You turn and walk back to Eddie, pressing a short, sweet kiss to his lips and pulling away with a big grin, which he mirrors on his own face.
“Bye,” you whisper.
“Bye,” Eddie whispers back.
You finally actually make your way to leave and as soon as you exit the front door, you jump up in the air and try not to scream your excitement. Then you promptly walk to your own home with a big, dumb grin on your face.
