Until We Meet Again
Request: “So for my first request, can you write an Aladdin AU featuring Mirio and a male reader please? In the story, Mirio would be a street rat who ends up developing a relationship with the reader who is a palace harem boy. You can decide on the intimacy between the two. What do you think?” -Princeasimdiya12
I find that the topic is adorable, when I first read it last night I lost my Poker Face composure at the image of Mirio Togata and Male Reader having similar personality traits. I feel like Mirio Togata would be more attracted to the boy whom is the hare to the throne, not for his riches or his title of “prince”, but because he holds himself up high and is confident in himself. Thank you for this amazing idea, I’m glad this fanfic is my first one! Hope you enjoy!

Thoughts
-Story starts below the cut-
Mirio Togata, a well known and admirable 19-year-old Street Rat that lived in the outskirts of town. Never had a real home, parents unknown, but his heart and mind would never succumb to the darkness that would follow after loosing everything. Instead, he took all the pain the world put him through, and made it a reason to push forward, to be strong and kind even when not shown said kindness. He had two very close friends that too were Street Rats, A timid and anxiety filled boy by the name of Tamaki Amajiki, and a bright, bubbly girl named Nejire Hando. The three of them helped give hope to the homeless, give kindness to those who were never shown it, and protect those who need it.
Y/N, the prince, hare to the throne, yet very confident and comfortable in your current position. Yes: your mother and father throwing princess at you can be a hassle, but you still loved life. Not one to gloat, brag, or flaunt the riches and position, but also not one for hiding it. You’re not small, at 19-years-old you have a relatively big build, muscles that are quite prominent, sharp jawline that can cut flesh, you holds himself as the man you know you are, not as a coward most people believe a prince to be.

“Thanks for the bread guys!”
Mirio yelled, a loaf in one arm and waving at the owners of the bread wagon with the other. He helped the men out when the wheel fell off, holding the wagon up while making sure the wheel was on securely. Some bread fell off the wagon, and Mirio not wanting them to waist it said he would take it. Considering he helped and didn’t try to steal anything they have gave the fallen loafs to him. Three loafs total fell, and Mirio being himself instantly beamed at the thought of filling his friends empty stomach with some fresh, semi soiled bread. He walked to the abandoned part of town with a large smile plastered on his face, the happy grin never fading.
When he finally arrived he instantly handed Tamaki and Nejire a loaf for themselves. He was about to take a bite out of his when he heard shuffling from outside the abandoned house. Peeking out through the window, he went wide eyed at the sight of two little kids shuffling through the garbage at a house that was home to a family. The little girl had long, wavy grayish hair, a horn on her forehead, and bandages on her appendages, the boy had a red shemagh, the agal holding it in place had two little horns poking out. Mirio smiled sympathetically as he got up from his spot and made his way to the doorway.
He noticed his friends turn to him quizzically, he held his pointer finger to his lips motioning for the to stay silent. He exited the abandoned house and broke his bread in half, when he got close to them the boy looked over at Mirio with his dark eyes and then back at the trash, the boy then gasped and grabbed the girl backing up a bit. The girls big, red eyes looked at the boy and then at Mirio, her eyes going wide as she gripped the boy. Mirio chuckled softly as he got on one knee, he presented the loaf and smiled when they timidly took the bread. A soft “thank you” was heard by the boy as the girl gulped down the bit of bread already consumed.
“Thank you sir!”
She chirped, loud enough to make up for her friends lack of voice.
“It’s no problem, I’d rather you both eat and grow up big and strong!”
He got up and headed back to his friends, peaking his head through the window, he noticed that they were no longer there. He then perked up at the sound of hooves hitting the solid ground behind him, removing his head from the house and turning around he rushed to find the source. As he got there he noticed his buddies were already there, he shuffled his way past the crowd and to the duo standing in awe. He looked over to see a white horse holding a woman who seemed to have a high purpose. And just as she was coming closer to the three, the kids he helped before brushed past his leg and into the way of the horse, the horse came to a stop due to the surprise and the woman on said steed looked beyond angry. The blonde boy rushed in and scooped up the kids faster than he thought his body physically could.
“I’m so sorry ma’am! They don’t know any better!”
He said, looking up at her.
“Teach those brats a lesson before I do it myself!”
The woman barked, scoffing at them as she continued towards the castle.
“Are you two okay?”
The blonde asked, concern flooding his voice, the children in his arms were trembling, but the boy put on a brave face.
“I-I’m fine! B-but my friend, Eri seems to be more shaken up.”
The girl was smiling wide.
“That was fun,”
she giggled,
“Koda don’t you think?”
The girl asked
“Eri and Koda?”
Mirio repeated, the children faced him. He let them go carefully,
“Eri is a beautiful name, suits a beautiful young girl, and Koda is a very strong name.”
The children smiled and thanked him before speeding off happily.
Loud noises and cries flooded the ears of the residents in the castle, of course those residents being the queen, the king, and the Sultan in the throne room. The woman from before, the one who threatened Mirio, was in the castle garden, attempting to get you to marry her.
“C’mon darling, your mother and father felt I was the best decision.”
The princess pouted, her dress was pulled down in the front, just enough to show a good portion of her cleavage, leaning forward and brushing her hand against your arm in a very poor attempt at seduction. You stiffened, uncomfortable with her choice of clothing and her position to sit nearly in your lap.
“Look, Princess...?”
You looked at her, never hearing her name.
“Princess Jasmine, but soon to be Princess L/N.”
She said, moving closer to you.
“Look, Princess Jasmine, I am flattered, and I genuinely appreciate the attempt to capture my attention, but I don’t wish to be put into an arranged marriage...”
You sighed softly and looked at the princess, you attempted a smile to show no intention to harm.
“What could I do to make you notice me?”
She asked, a hand on your thigh, but with a single, gentle swipe, was now between her leg and yours.
“Princess, please stop, I’m not interested, I don’t feel any attraction towards you in any sort of way that you are hoping.”
At this point you were losing the little bit of patience you had left. The Tigress that is laying between your feet senses the distress and sits up, a “I’m relaxed but will attack” type sway in her tail.
“Prince Y/N! I am a princess myself! You should be swoon by my attempts!”
A tantrum broke out from the woman next to you, and the Tigress had enough, standing up and facing the crying woman, it roared, shutting her up and causing a sigh from your slightly agitated self. Silence, it was finally silent, but only for a few seconds before the princess stood up, fixed her attire, and stormed out of the garden yelling about how you were ungrateful.
You smiled happily and gently scratched the top of the Tigresses head but, the peace was broken by the queen entering the garden.
“Y/N... my son... you must get married... please choose one of the princesses your father and I pick for you...”
she pleads, sitting on the water fountain. Brush the orange and black fur off your F/C pants.
“Mother, why must you force me to marry someone that I haven’t met before? There is no romantic connection, no love, no passion nor desire...”
a look of dissatisfaction in your eyes.
“Y/N, I understand where you’re coming from, truly I do, but the rules say-“
“The rules are wrong! If I am going to marry it will be to the person I love! Not the person my parents throw at me!”
huffing, standing up and walking to the edge of the garden walls, separated from the people you one day will rule.
“Y/N I am no longer having this conversation with you! You will marry a woman that your father and I choose and that is final!”
The queen snaps, turning on her heel and storming off, slamming the doors to the garden behind her.
Night flooded the land, darkness consuming every crevice the sun once touched, embracing the skin of those who were kissed by the sun's raise. Witching Hour came and you were gone, having heaved yourself onto the ledge and smiling, looking down at the town, bending down to pet the oversized kitten that had watched you effortlessly hop onto said wall.
“I’m not leaving you for good, pretty Kitty.”
You smiled and chuckled at the thought of her understanding. With a happy thought and smile on your face you leapt off the wall, attaching yourself to a tree not too far from the wall and climbed down, sprinting once your feet felt the ground outside the castle walls.
Roaming around for what seemed like hours; the bright sunlight warming your skin, causing your jewelry to glisten. Looking around and smiling at the people who stared at you in awe, and shook hands with many people and bought food for those who didn’t have money, not noticing that you, yourself, was running low on coins. You heard a tiny distressed voice coming from a few shops down, following the sound you noticed a child trying to grab an apple. A sympathetic smile softly found its way on your features and handed the boy the apple he was trying to get.
“Ya gonna pay for that?!”
A voice boomed angrily, the prince looked at the owner of said voice, a taller guy, hair hidden by a beige shemagh, a brown agal holding it up, a strand of the man's curly black hair rested against his forehead.
 “Of course sir,”
You began reaching into the pouch his coins were in, there was nothing but lint, you sighed softly and chuckled.
“It seems that I have spent all my money...”
Looking up at the man, you smiled sheepishly in an attempt to non-verbally apologize.
“If ya ain’t got money you’ll have to pay another way,”
The man began as he grabbed your wrist then pointed at the ring, a large blue diamond in the middle of strategically placed Jaspers, the L/N family heirloom.
“Give me this an’ I’ll let it slide.”
“Hold on a mi-“
Quickly, you were cut off by a hand on your shoulder, looking in the direction of the hand, widening at the sight. A man, about 5’11”, strong build, blonde hair that seemed to defy gravity, deep blue eyes that sparked like the night sky. But quickly, your eyes were torn off him by the shop owner.
“What’da want Togata?”
 “Togata...?”
You repeated in your head, once again torn out of thought by the voice of the Blonde, his voice not very deep but deep enough to make your chest vibrate with it.
“C’mon, can’t you tell that this is the Prince? Shouldn’t you show him some respect?”
you laughed at Mirio’s questions, both Mirio and the Store owner looking confused.
“Indeed I am the prince, I am proud of my title and I believe that, even though I’m royalty, I should pay like my people do,”
You started, removing one of the rings from your hand, a pure diamond at the center with a sapphire and a ruby placed on either side of it, and placed it in the hand of the raven haired male,
“I am no different than anyone else, and I’m more then happy to pay you with this ring considering I didn’t bring enough money on my journey here.”
The raven haired man looked at you in awe then down to his hand in disbelief, then scoffed as he shoved it in his pocket as though it meant nothing to him.
“Whatever, don’t let me catch you tryin’ ta steal another one of my apples, or else you’ll have at work for me. Got it “Your Majesty”?”
The last part would have stung, but you shrugged it off as you walked away happily, only to be stopped once again.
“It’s an honor to meet you Prince L/N!”
“The pleasure is mine... I’m sorry I wasn’t able to catch your name.”
“Mirio Togata!”
The slightly taller man beamed smiling wide as he reached his hand out for you to shake. You smiled and firmly shook Mirio’s hand, the strength between the grips of both men was enough to crush a walnut.
“Mirio Togata, I’ll remember that the next time we meet.”
Excitement burst through the Street Rat hearing those words.
“Wait! Prince Y/N!”
You stop in your tracks and look at the man before you.
“Yes?”
You ask quizzically.
“Let me take you on a date!”
He blurted, smiling wider than ever, his smile bright enough to outmatch the sun, cheerfulness able to melt away any sorrow left in you. You couldn’t help but smile and nod.
“I would love to go on a date with you.”
You grabbed his hand tightly and smiled wide, he reciprocated and took off running causing you to run after him. Adrenaline filling your veins, a new feeling you can’t describe.
You both run to the abandoned part of the town, he leads you to the house him and the other two Street Rats stay, you look at him puzzled when he lets your hand go.
“Stay here! I’ll be right back!”
He shouts, rushing into the house, after a few minutes of complete and utter silence he finally runs out of the house holding a carpet. You look at him with a quirked eyebrow.
“Before you ask, yes it is a carpet, but it’s special.”
You held back a laugh.
“Special how?”
The question made the slightly taller male smile, he put it on the ground and rolled it out, and almost instantly it started levitating, your eyes widened in bewilderment.
“That’s amazing!”
You blurted, eyes wide with excitement causing the blonde to blush slightly.
“Wanna go for a ride?”
He asked and a smile formed on his face once you nodded in anticipation.
“Hell yeah!”
You yelled as you lept onto the carpet, laughing when Mirio stumbled on his feet getting onto the floating rectangle with you. You sat down next to him as the woven material began to lift up higher and take off, stars forming in your eyes as you lifted your arms up to catch the wind in between your fingers. The cool crisp evening air stinging your nose, ears, and cheeks slightly, turning them a slight red color. You looked over at Mirio and paused.
The whole world seemed to slow down, the fast flying carpet moved slower, your vision blurred around the boy in front of you, the setting sun danced along his features, his skin nearly glowing. His facial features causing your heart to clench. His blonde hair blowing behind him, blue eyes sparkled as he turned to meet your gaze, his cheekbones prominent, jawline sharp, cheeks slightly chubby and oh so kissable, slightly red from either the air or a blush, possibly a mixture of the both. You looked back up at him and tensed slightly once you saw he was closer to you, his hand grabbing yours as you put your forehead on his, the tips of your noses touching slightly. This is what you’ve been longing for, not some arrangement with a woman, but a true feeling of love and admiration for someone, for... him...
You intertwined your fingers with his, holding onto the appendage as though he were to fly away if you let go. As you both moved into each other, lips connected fitting perfectly like a puzzle, desperation filling you both as your tongues danced together in cooperation in the beginning, but soon fighting for dominance.
After a few minutes you both decide that it’s a tie, tongues dancing in sync, Mirio’s left leg on top of your right leg, your left leg over his, hooked together behind one another as you both grind against one another in desperation and need of release. Breathy moans and gasps are shared between you, you finally separated from the heated connection of your mouths. You shoved your face in the crook of Mirio’s neck, leaving kitten licks and kisses along his sensitive skin, marking the territory you have officially claimed. Moaning and whining as he picked up the pace of his grinding, a feeling building up inside you both clinging to one another, chasing hungrily for your release. Growls and whines added to the sound of fabric rubbing and heavy breathing. Clinging to one another tightly, nearly suffocating each other as your release washes over you, your cores drenching one another through thin fabric, staining your pants and the carpet below.
You stay in each others embrace, your legs detangling and loosening your deathly grips. He placed his forehead on yours and looked at your expression. Your cheeks red, the blush spread across your nose and to the tips of your ears. He was at a loss for words, admiring you. When you opened your eyes you couldn’t help but lock eyes with him, sitting in comfortable silence.
“So...”
You broke the silence.
“Would you like to become my S/O?”
“I was going to ask the same thing!”
Mirio laughed as he rubbed your arms lovingly. The carpet came to a stop and you pulled away from him, instantly regretting it as you were now cold, and realizing that you were at the balcony that lead to your garden. You looked at Mirio and sighed kissing him one last time as you stood up and jumped onto the hard ground below.
“Thank you for the amazing day Mirio!”
“Thank you for accompanying me my love.”
You looked at him and smiled wide.
“Next time I’M taking YOU on a date!”
You chirped, smirking as you noticed his flustered expression.
“I love you, my darling Street Rat.”
You said, sarcasm filling the name, as Mirio laughed.
“I love you too, Your Majesty.”
“I can’t wait for next time, goodnight.”
“Good night!”
Mirio smiled as you vanished into your room, the carpet gliding Mirio back to his empty house. He stepped off and once the carpet lasted back down he rolled it back up and placed it where it was before. He climbed into the thin blankets he has for a bed, arms behind his head as a pillow, looking out the window beside him at the stars and grew proud, repeating your words as he drifted off to sleep.
“Until next time”

It took a bit longer than I had hoped and I ran into a bit of a brain fart for the NSFW parts but other than that I’m proud of it! Hope your stay at Mirio’s Grave was amazing.
