Today’s kind of hard for you, huh, little one?
That’s okay, how about we go to a quiet room or maybe outside if it’s not too cold. We’re just going to take a quick break. Thanks sweetheart. Now let’s do a few things together:
Unclench your teeth and give your jaw a soft little massage if you need to.
Take a big, deep breath and hold it in your chest for a few seconds. Now breathe out nice and slow.
Roll your shoulders a few times and give them a quick little squeeze.
Give yourself a big hug! Wrap your hands as far around your back as they will comfortably go and sit like that for a few seconds.
I know today can feel very overwhelming, but remember honey, just take it one step at a time. You’re doing so well, and I’m very proud of you!

🌙 waking up from a nightmare 🌙
waking up from a nightmare can be rlly scary, especially if you’re regressed :( here are some ways you can make yourself feel better, and also feel safe after having one!
☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️
• turn on a night light or lamp so you can see! look around n you’ll find that there are no scary monsters! don’t worry, it was only a dream!
• breathe! in through your nose and out through your mouth if you can! try the 4-7-8 technique! breath in for 4 seconds, hold it for 7 seconds, and breathe out for 8, and repeat! this is also helpful if you’re trying to go back to sleep!
• watch a comfort show if you can fall back asleep! i’d suggest not watching anything too scary, to avoid any more bad dreams!! but everyone is different, so it’s rlly up to you! whatever may help! <3
• use grounding techniques! a good one that i personally find helpful is listing 5 things you can see, 4 things you can feel, 3 things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste! a similar one is naming something for each letter of the alphabet! or picking a color and listing all the things you can see that are that color!
• cuddle with a stuffie! they’re there to protect you!! they won’t let any scary monsters get to you! make sure there close by! you can hug them as you try to fall back asleep, or you can sit them up near you so they’re on guard while you sleep!
• listen to some calming music! (or any music that may comfort you!) on youtube, there are music box versions of popular songs! as well as disney lullabies, which i find quite calming!
• avoid looking at the time! watching a clock can cause more stress! don’t focus on what time it is; focus on making yourself feel safe and calming down using the previous tips <3

Hi littles! I know for many in the U.S., Thanksgiving can be difficult.
Here are some things to keep in mind if this week is hard for you:
It’s okay to take breaks! Even if you’re just going to an empty room or stepping outside (if it’s not too cold!) for a few minutes, you’re allowed to remove yourself from stressful environments in whatever way you can. I know not everyone is able to physically leave a place where Thanksgiving is being held, so it’s okay if you make time for yourself by going somewhere quieter/less crowded for a little bit.
TW: Eating. Eat what you can; that’s enough. Thanksgiving is hard for many littles because they have a difficult or complicated relationship with food. You don’t have to eat everything that’s laid out in the buffet. It can be overwhelming to be surrounded by so much food, so don’t force yourself to eat too much. But remember, your body needs nourishment! Please eat a little bit because you deserve it! I’m proud of you for eating whatever you can and as stated above, it’s okay to take breaks if things get too triggering!
Bring back up in case you start to hit sensory overload. Whether that’s having a person there with you who knows how to help you calm down/relax, packing noise-cancelling headphones, or bringing fidget toys to have on-hand, try to make a plan beforehand if you know a large gathering can be overwhelming for you. Personally, being around so many people for several hours in a row can be very overwhelming for me, so I always make sure to pack a few fidget toys in my bag before leaving.
Plan a reward/some self care for the evening. Sometimes getting through Thanksgiving really is just taking it one hour, or even one minute at a time. It’s much easier, though, if you know you have something to look forward to when it’s all over. Plan for some time to watch your favorite movie, cuddle with your stuffies and paci, color, or take a nice long bath. You deserve something nice after a hard day.
And remember littles, I’m so proud of you! Getting through Thanksgiving is really hard sometimes. It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to not look forward to it. It’s okay if you feel icky all day. I promise it will pass. I’m proud of you for getting through it and doing your best!

just wondering how u grew ur account cause i want to grow mine but not sure how
Sorry I didn’t answer this earlier, anon! I promise I wasn’t ignoring you, I just had a busy day and haven’t logged on until now.
It’s an unhelpful answer, I know, but my blog just kind of grew naturally.
I think the biggest thing, though, is making sure you’re using tags that are common in the community you’re trying to reach. Not only will that put your posts in the feed if people go to search those tags, but it can put you in “recommended” lists for people who follow blogs similar to yours. Of course, that means you run the risk of getting a lot of unwanted interaction/people breaking your DNI, but for me, I just immediately block anyone who breaks my DNI and move on.
I would try to stay pretty active, as well! Even if you don’t physically post every day, I would set up a queue to post something at least every day/every other day when you’re starting out.
Also everything takes time so don’t stress too much if it takes a while for your account to gain traction! Just keep your posts true to yourself and enjoy it! Hope this helps!!

You’ve been very quiet today, little one, is everything alright? It’s okay, you can tell me. You’re feeling anxious? I’m sorry baby, that’s no fun. Oh no, honey, let’s not scratch. Here’s your favorite squishy toy; you can squeeze that, okay? I’m going to go get your weighted blanket and your favorite stuffie. How about we sit on the couch and you can watch me play Animal Crossing. Would that help? If you need anything, you let me know, little one.

How to help autistic littles when they get the sniffles
For some littles on the autistic spectrum, having blocked noses, scratchy throats and being icky can feel like the worst thing on earth.
You could ~
Gently remind them to take meds
Keep a box of tissues nearby for blowing tiny noses
Ask them if they need quiet time, or all the lights off for limited sensory input
Try to coax food into them, and if you can, specifically any safe foods they can cope with
Playdoh, sticker books and colouring will always keep them in bed and happy
They might moan, and whine, and need a lot of attention, but be patient. They'll get through this.

🪐 Self-care Activities For Upset/Overwhelmed Littles 🪐
- Grab a piece of paper and pens and go crazy! Draw out aaaall of those big feelings. You can throw it away or rip it apart afterwards, if that helps.
- Talk to your stuffie! If you don't feel like talking, remember that you can always communicate telepathically to your stuffies. They will understand!
- Grab some toys/stuffies and play out a scene that made you upset or a situation that you are nervous for. What would your stuffies do? How would they make themselves feel better? What would you say to them to make them feel better?
- If you need a distraction, put on your favourite show/movie or listen to some songs to help you calm down. Maybe have a playlist ready if you ever need it again!
- If there is one feeling/thought that is consistently making you worry and getting in your way, make a feelings box/jar. You can write down that feeling, fold it up and put it in the box. Once it's inside, the feeling is safely tucked away and can't worry you anymore! And you can keep using the box/jar in the future.
- Take a bath, if you like. Gather any bath bombs/salts and bath toys you may have. Splash, play, rest. You could listen to an audiobook/podcast or play some music. When I'm all done and pull out the plug, what I like to do is lay down, close my eyes and imagine that as the water is slowly going down, so are aaany bad thoughts and feelings that I don't need and I always feel a bit lighter afterwards. You could try it too, if you think it will help!

Hi, my little explorer. What did you find? Oh wow, is that a praying mantis? That’s so cool! What’s that? You want to keep him? Hmm, well this little guy has a family he needs to get back to. You really want to? How about he has a sleepover at our place, just for one night. We can put him in a terrarium. Yeah, that’s a big word, isn’t it? Terrarium. It’s like a little house he can stay in for the night. There we go. How about you grab some little sticks and leaves so he feels more comfy? Perfect, thank you, kiddo. He can stay with us for tonight and we can take pictures or color drawings of him to remember him by. But tomorrow morning he has to go back to his family, okay? Thanks for understanding, bubby. He looks all ready to go. Should we go show him your room?

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all the support you've shown this lil ole blog so far.
I also wanted to add that if any of you ever have anything (nicknames, pet names, scenarios, etc.) you'd like to see in my posts, you can send them my way and I will do my best! Just please respect my DNI/pinned post. I also rely on a queue, so if you do send a request, it might be a few days before you see the related post.
But even if you don't have any requests, my asks/DMs are open to anyone who needs some company or just wants to say hi!
And with that, we're back to our regularly-scheduled programing :)
