It’s so funny to me how at every episode there was something where some fans were like “THEY DIDNT INCLUDE THIS! THEY RUINED IT” to then just have either that thing included or to see the pay off of that particular decision.

Like “THE ORACLE WASNT IN EPISODE TWO” literally started episode three with the oracle.

Or even just “THERE ARE FOUR PEARLS AND THE SOLSTICE HAS PASSED” yeah they lose a pearl and the gods are actively warring which makes it a huge deal (and a probably solid reason why Percy didn’t join Luke) that Poseidon steps in and surrenders.

Like at every step of the way people were freaking out when Uncle Rick had it under control the whole time

One of my major gripes with the PJO TV series was that Percy never knew that his sword’s name is Riptide. But I’ve been thinking about this and I suspect that we’ll see him find out in the next episode when Percy has his infamous beach fight scene with Ares.

Think about it! Ares is the god of war and it’s his business to know about weapons, especially one with such a cursed history like Riptide (“Anaklusmos”).

So it would be really cool to see an exchange between Percy and Ares where Ares is like “You really think Riptide is strong enough to hurt me?” Then obviously Percy wouldn’t know what’s happening. Then Ares would say something like “You don’t even know the name of your own sword, but you call yourself a hero?”

That would be a really cool way to introduce Riptide and highlight just how much Percy is in over his head!

Grover getting his moment, working the god of fucking war to get info out of him?? Superb Grover rep.

The gods having these little moments of goodness that will ultimately circle back around to having Percy wanting to change the gods instead of kill them and joint Luke’s side? Fucking amazing

When I was eleven I made my own Camp Half-Blood shirt because merch like that, especially like official merch just out and about in stores, didn’t really exist for Percy Jackson. It was off center and the end of Half-Blood got smushed because I ran out of room and it had an awkward trident symbol right up close to the collar. Today I bought an official camp half-blood shirt and was reminded of that old shirt I had. My mom said “I liked that other one you made better.” And I went “why?? It was messy and made with a fabric marker.” And she said “Because you made it. You didn’t see it out anywhere but you didn’t let that stop you so you went ‘fuck it I’ll do it myself’.” So instead of buying this shirt to champion it over my own shirt I wear it to honor that shirt that represented that “fuck it I’ll do it myself” attitude that’s at the core of the Percy Jackson series

In celebration of November 5th I’m rewatching seasons 3 so that Lazarus Rising happens on the 5th. In my rewatch I’ve noticed something that’s made me feel sad all over again.

Dean is trying to communicate. He has all of these emotional monologues about how he feels and reaches out to Sam to hear the same, to try to get positive feedback about these feelings, and each time all he ends up getting is some shitty little brother response. Not to be a Sam hater here cus man had his reasons, but that’s what happened.

Dean, who has this reputation in later seasons of bottling up his feelings and being emotionally constipated started this show out trying so hard to share his feelings with someone and at each turn was brushed off or even made fun of for trying. It just makes me sad.

As someone who knows very little about fnaf lore and the games as well as someone who is a film student, that movie did not deserve that Rotten Tomatoes score. Even as a casual viewer it was entertaining, the lore made sense, and even just the conceptual horror of thinking “there are kid bodies inside those machines” is enough to scare you. Technically the film was solid with good sound work (which is usually something that horror movies lack quite frankly) and amazing special effects and nice cinematography and lighting where it’s dark but you can actually see what’s going on (again, HUGE issue with horror movies). So yeah, rotten tomatoes is just allergic to films that are creative I guess

I think an interesting analysis of ofmd is that before Ed met Stede, he was already on his post-heartbreak path. When we first have Izzy trying to talk Ed out of helping Stede in the crew Ed ends with “dying? Haven’t tried that yet.” Mans was already going down that road of self-destruction, the heartbreak probably just accelerating that arc within Ed.
