Scott smiled at Rocket’s compliment. It felt like a big deal kind of thing that Rocket even said it to begin with, so it made him feel good. Then Quill’s comment made his grin go a bit slant a bit. But still, if this stuff was that easy, he should pick it up easy peasy, right?

He wanted to ask how they understood Groot in the first place, but Quill’s last statement pushed that question out of his mind. It made him smile. If he didn’t have an entire life back on Earth, he believed he could get used to a life here with friends like the Guardians.

“Thanks, guys. That means a lot to me. And you be got your backs too. You’re my friends too, and I definitely look out for my friends. You guys are pretty cool.”

Scott shrugged and bobbed his head in reluctant agreement. “Honestly with the tech you guys have, we might as well be using floppy disks and computers that take up whole rooms that take an hour to spit out one piece of paper. I feel like we’re that far behind…”

He thought about all the fancy tech and science back home. All of Tony’s work and everything Pym Tech could offer. Even his own suit, he once thought was the pinnacle of science and technology. Okay to be fair, he still thought his suit and the Pym Particles were. To Scott, they would always be hard to beat. But with everything he’d seen so far on this space heist adventure and everything he was about to do, he could help but feel like Earth tech was like the kid sibling with little legs trying to run after the big siblings. “…now that I know what else is out there.”

Scott chuckled and shrugged. “You’re welcome. And hey, if you come down to San Francisco for your taste testing, I can definitely recommend a restaurant or two for having some good shark. It won’t disappoint. Loooooooads better than goat. That just sounds horrible. And honestly, it makes sense. They’re living garbage disposals. They probably taste as bad as the stuff they eat.”

Scott grinned excitedly as he leaned forward in his seat. “Shark is really, really good! It’s surprising because it tastes nothing like fish. It actually tastes more like crab honestly. It’s kinda got that delicate, almost sweet taste. And the meat texture is kinda like crab too. It’s delicious!”

((Oooh, okay! I Thank you for clarifying some things! My anxiety is not available for Scott possibly dying, yet! I haven't watched any of the Deadpool movies since they weren't MCU related until apparently now. I'm still debating on if I'll see them and that's only because someone mentioned that whatever Wade did was the incursion that Dr. Strange needed to solve in one of the Multiverse of Madness ending credit scenes. However, that was word of mouth from a fan and you know how that song/dance goes. That being said, they better not kill off Scott in a Deadpool movie. If he's going to go out, it should be in his own or an Avengers movie, at least.))

Scott gently wiped her tears away as he tried to come up with an answer to that. The answer was maybe not everything, but it was hard to say just what kind of things she changed. If anything. It was possible the guy thought it was a dream or a hallucination or something and didn’t change at all.

“I’ll be honest, Nessa,” he said gently, “I don’t know what will happen now. But you know what I’ve learned? Things that are meant to happen still find a way to happen. Maybe it won’t happen like it’s expected to, but there’s always a chance it could still happen. Don’t give up hope yet, Nessa. Things can still be fixed.”

So I’m guessing the TVA send Wade to some alternate universe/timeline that’s pretty dystopian from the looks of it.

I know Marvel has made multiple stupid mistakes, but they would be really reeeeeeeallllllllly dumb to kill off cinnamon roll Scott Lang, not when the multiverse saga is still in the works. ((Ngl when I saw Ant-Man's helmet open in the Deadpool trailer I thought it was a huge mound of dirt or a pyramid of some kind or something...goes to show how much I was paying attention lol. I had no idea it was a skull. In my defense, it was sandy/dusty when it opened up though))
