Is there really any wonder women have clothing meltdowns when they go shopping?! 🙄 Same shop, same blouse, apparently...the same size? 🤔 Nope! It says they’re both a Topshop Tall size 8...except...one of them doesn’t include tall length arms apparently! 😂🤦‍♀️ But wow...a 5inch difference! 😳 How can you get that wrong?! This has pretty much been the state of me for the majority of the week! 😂 Have a shower,🚿 put the joggers on, have a shower, put pjs on. Do nothing about my hair. Carry a hot water bottle around. The odd coffee,☕️ meal here, Fortisip there, medication-o’clock,💊 stab a finger tip🩸with a needle every now & again. I have jeans that are actually comfy! 😌 Normally struggle a bit in jeans...psychologically.. because my body image goes rubbish... especially in ‘skinny jeans’ because they’re so fitted, so I tend not to wear them very often, but I think it helps when they physically actually feel comfortable & don’t feel restrictive. So glad I scrapbooked all of Jess’ lil creative, caring messages! Always gonna cherish these! 💞 We hear about death in Anorexia & the high mortality rate (highest of all psychiatric illness). I don’t normally post about those who lose their battle with Anorexia, as I won’t pretend I know everyone I’ve heard about or follow really well, as that would be disrespectful to their life, but there have been 2 wonderful women who I knew personally (not a distant IG follower who some claim to know when they didn’t even speak to them..that’s disrespectful to their family). Those 2 women tragically lost their lives recently. 1 in her early 40’s who I met a few times through First Steps & the ED team. She sadly passed away in April. We planned to meet for coffee, but lockdown happened. Becky caught Covid & her body was too weak to fight. I didn’t know her long & I’m not gonna pretend I did, but for those few times I met her we clicked so well! She was incredibly bubbly, honest, creative & down-to-earth, who’s struggles were deep yet not shown to others. As for Jess..I got to know her well in hospital! She was such an important person to me in the last 3 months of admission! We got on really well. I usually sneaked out & bought her contraband SF vimto & on return..she’d have left a lil note with the money even though I’d say she didn’t owe me anything. I had some really shit moments those last few weeks & Jess always made these cute hand-drawn pictures & quotes & being that thoughtful..it said so much! We spoke about ‘normal’ things & shared a common interest in the things that annoyed us! I wish I’d have stayed in contact with her more. She loved her black clothes, but had a very colourful mind & her hair’s certainly been so many vibrant colours! She also hid her struggling well! And again..that pain ran deep. She told me it ‘was like having another little sister’ & I’m always gonna remember that! Eating disorders are absolutely devastating! I feel for her family right now! 💞 Literally devastated this illness takes so many incredible people way too soon! Until Beth’s Hobbycraft workshop in Feb..I hadn’t been on a sewing machine since year 8/9 in secondary school. 🙊 Baring in mind I stuck to hand sewing 🧵 in school because I always jammed the machine 🤦‍♀️ ..it was a bit of a gamble! But..I actually managed to use that one without a disaster! 😂 So..that being said..I’ve been wanting one to have a play on. I haven’t ever seen such a small sewing machine!! ☺️ It did say ‘mini’ though tbf. It’s only basic for basic people like me 😂 but it’s all I need. The more simple the better! 😆 It was the one skill from school that I wanted to brush up on, so 10+ years later..I’m gonna try.
