I honestly after coming out to my mom I didn't fully realize how goddamn LUCKY I got. Like she fully accepted me which I'm so grateful for and that is not the normal coming out scene. And I had such a reality check to how lucky I was when my trans friend came to my birthday party and signed the card he got me with his deadname, his MOTHERFUCKING DEADNAME because his family was present while he was signing it. I was so confused trying to figure out who the fuck "deadname" was because I didn't know anyone with that name and then it just hit me. Let me tell you that "oh.." moment was the biggest reality check I will ever get

Moral of the story: ALWAYS be grateful for good parents because not everyone has that
