Hello!
Does anyone have any good sources on the symbolism of owls, in particular tawny owls? I'm already vaguely aware of what deities owls in general are associated with, but I haven't been able to find much on tawny owls. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

how to stay grounded
☩ 1. Breathe, breathe, breathe. Feel your lungs expand as you inhale and deflate as you exhale. Notice how your body changes as life flow in and out of your spirit. Allow it to bring you deeper into your body. Just breathe! ☩ ☩ 2. Look out your window and smile! Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the earth. Let in some air, hear the birds, feel the chill of the wind, talk to the trees. Thank Her for all she provides you with.
☩ 3. Move with no judgment or worry. Just feel your body, no matter how broken, tired, or aching it is. It is a safe and sacred place. Touch, feel, soothe, and move through every corner of your body. It is not the enemy! ☩ 4. Reconnect with the divine. Meditate, pray, visualize, journey deep into the realm of ritual. Transform this silent time into an altar for the divine. Find magic in the mundane, allow your imagination to guide you.  ☩ 5. Choose yourself! Choose to feel your emotions, honor your needs, and entertain your desires. Sink into your needs and wants at this moment. What is your mind, body, and soul craving? Choose to honor yourself in every moment. - I pray that you all will find the peace you need! Seek it with all your heart and it will greet you with open arms. Blessed be! ♡ ♡-

Tenets of the Gods
Baldr: The brightness of life. Let your presence be inspiring and beautiful to all. Allow your joy to radiate from within and become your aura. Bragi: Believe in the power of your words. Speak carefully with thought and precision. Let your praise empower and strengthen, and your insults dishearten and wither. Eir: Seek the cure. Help those in need, and offer comfort in whatever form you can. Reject the corruption of disease, any affliction can be treated and healed with the right approach. Fenrir: Destroy your chains and those who forge them. Never be cowed or submit in fear, reason should be met with respect but dominion with insurrection. Forseti: Deliver the beneficial compromise. Let peace be brokered and unnecessary conflict be evaded, good faith be honoured and deception be castigated. Freyja: Bask in your glory and empowerment. Let pleasure be a virtue, and self-determination be the basis of your strength. Revel in your emotions for they are your power. Freyr: Advance the endeavour of growth. Nurture life in all its forms and display the beauty of progeneration. Anything can take root and grow given the right conditions. Frigga: Provide and protect. Let all you care for be comfortable and safe, and no need be denied. The fire can warm but also burn. Heimdall: Vigilance and caution. A misstep may bring misery and an unheard word, disaster. The way forward is clear and danger is transparent, when the time is taken to identify it. Hela: Death is but the other half of life. Let stillness be, and quiet guide your thoughts. Endings should be neither sought nor feared, an end is but the opportunity for further beginnings. Idunn: Wisdom in youth. Let the words of babes ring with your consciousness and seek the truth held in their innocence, ignorance is found in the dismissal of the young. Loki: Freedom in fun and change. Do not be bound by norms and civility, evil is often disguised as order, and the fabricated as natural. The good thing is not always the common thing, deviation can lead to delight. Modi: Evolve and progress. Find no contentment in maintaining a status quo. Each day be better than yesterday, see the good of your forebear and strive to excel further. Seek, always, the betterment of your theory and actions. Njord: Ebb and flow, give and take. Action begets reaction, matter demands a void, for happiness there must be sadness, for gain there must be loss. Balance is a virtue, no one approach can suit every obstacle. Odin: Wise and learned. Always search for the opportunity to learn, wisdom is found in the diversity of life. Give your knowledge freely and be gracious in reception, a mind in isolation is a mind that does not grow. Sif: Be proud and know your worth. Demand your place and your right to exist in the world. Pay mind to fair criticism but reject detractors wholly. Take pride in yourself, and seek betterment for your own sake. Sigyn: Steadfast and devoted. Stand firmly for what you believe, keep loyal to that you love. Nothing worth doing is easy, no worthwhile thing is effortless. Love takes work, and ideals require labour. Skadhi: Justice through vengeance. Vileness be met with viciousness, the unforgivable can not be forgiven, though reason may temper rage. Covert, can be calamity, and war kept for a better day. Thor: Powerful protection. Vie for strength in soul and arm, to protect is to persevere against evil, contest not only in arms but in wills. To bring joy against misery, hope against despair, and a hammer against tyranny. Tyr: Honour and sacrifice. Victory is not always decisive, a small win leads to the larger success, a minor loss can avert the grander. Achievement can come in portion just as well as in entirety. Ullr: Mirth in contest. Appreciate fair competition and find joy in the fight, to train you must have a partner, to win - a rival. In loss be grateful for the challenger and in victory, for the challenge. norsegodcalls These are some personal interpretations of the kinds of values and virtues that the gods each have, written up as specific tenets.

Hello!
I haven't been active on this blog in quite a bit, mostly due to the fact that I've been focusing on my other interests and passions. I think I've figured out a decent way to spend time on Deities and paganism whilst also doing other things now though, so I'll likely be more active here soon enough.
As for Hesperus and Eosphorus; I am no longer in touch with them. My Patron along with my intuition gave me signs it wasn't a good relationship to spend time on because of the Twins' slightly overbearing and needy qualities. They did help me get in touch with my caring motherly instincts though and for that I am grateful.
I don't want my personal experience with them to scare anyone off from reaching out if they feel drawn to them, because I do believe my experience was heavily influenced by shadows I hadn't worked through at the time along with a spiritual openness I wasn't fully able to control. It's only recently I've found both the good and the bad of that openness and have started managing it better with the help of my Patron.
I look back on my brief time with them fondly and have felt their presence from time to time, but seeing as I'm more comfortable with the relationship dynamics I have with my Patrons I have let go of Deities where the connection is more one-sided which I feel is best for me.
That being said, if any of you are interested in getting in touch with Eosphorus and/or Hesperus, I'd be glad to help! I hold no grudges against them just as they hold no grudges towards me, and since I seem to be one of the first pagans on Tumblr to gather information about them and bring them to light, I can very likely receive messages from them and give them to those who ask.
I don't know exactly when I'll start posting more original things on here again (poetry, gathered info on specific Deities, etc) but for now I'll be at the very least online now and then and reblog posts that interest me.
I hope you're all staying safe out there!

Hesperus & Eosphorus Notes (27/7-2020)
This is just the continuation of my notes on Hesperus and Eosphorus, Star of Venus. I decided to put it under a read-more to not bother anyone with a long post.
I have quite a lot to do today so the notes I’ll be sharing will be general. If anyone reading this is interested in knowing anything more, feel free to message me about it.
General notes:
They blend together in my head a lot more than I expected. I still see Them as separate beings of course, however I assume that due to the fact that They share many traits it is hard to tell them apart at times.
Hesperus is highly emotional as I thought; I started crying the other night because of something personal and while I was the one crying (obviously) it also felt like Hesperus was crying for me. That was a new experience to me, because while I feel sympathy and comfort from my Patron and other Deities when I’m down I’ve never felt as though a Deity is crying for me.
I believe They may rule over dreams because They’ve appeared in mine quite a lot lately. I usually have vivid dreams and have in the past written them down, but because I rarely do so anymore I struggle to remember them. But, something I do remember is dreaming about Hesperus and Eosphorus very often, usually scenarios where Their names come up randomly or spending time with Them.
I gave Them both flowers the other day, and Eosphorus’ withered and dried up very quickly. I doubt this is a bad sign though and think it might just have something to do with how fast He absorbs energy and whatnot. I will try to keep in mind for future reference that They probably like different flowers, though.
I’m very curious about Phosphorus and am disappointed with the lack of information there is on both Eosphorus and Hesperus of course, but also Their presumed “combined” form. A tarot reading I did on their personalities made it seem as though Phosphorus is simply a combination of traits from the brothers, but I’m not entirely sure about it yet.
They both seem to enjoy jazz and listening to music, and in general They’re very cheerful and excitable. Almost in a child-like way which I personally find endearing. I also find myself feeling protective towards Them quite a lot, like a mother towards her children almost.
Those are my notes for now. I don’t have any specific direction to go with these posts, but I reckon I’ll figure it out eventually. If I find the time for it I will make a compilation of the actual myths there are about these two along with the “official” info on them. I also plan to make a post of symbols, signs and offerings later one when I know Them better.

Text
“With your head thrown backward
In my arm's safe hollow,
And your face all rosy
With the mounting fervour;
While the grave eyes greaten
With the wise new wonder,
Swimming in a love-mist
Like the haze of Autumn;
From that throat, the throbbing
Nightingale's for pleading,
Wayward, soft, and welling
Inarticulate love-notes,
Come the words that bubble
Up through broken laughter,
Sweeter than spring-water,
"Gods, I am so happy!”
