Egon is bound and determined to piss me off lately. He randomly decided he's afraid of his crate, but when out of the crate has also decided that he's no longer potty trained. He has an accident a bare minimum of once a day regardless of how often he goes out. He was wearing belly bands but figured out how to get them off and eat them. The veterinarian has so far discovered nothing medically amiss with him.

He also brute forced himself into off limits areas, broke the door stop and gorged himself on human food.

He's a sweet dog but I swear to God he is the single dumbest dog I've ever met and seems actively resistant to learning manners even with professional guidance.

The plan now is to put him in dog diapers and put a onsie over it so he can't rip it off and he's going to sit there like a human toddler and fucking take it.

#at his foster home he was a farm dog so basically left outside to do whatever all day #so of course he did fine there #its been months of consistent redirect with him and he straight up cannot learn #he is impervious to new information #he's more than happy to sleep in his own piss and thinks everyone else also should #next time i get a dog im getting one of those super genius breeds like a border collie so I know it can actually retain information

every time i see a character who used to be/is very violent but has hobbies like gardening, or bonsai, or anything like that i lose my fucking shit dude. like oh these hands drenched in blood have the capacity to raise life from the soil? to touch the tender heart of earth and draw forth something beautiful from it? they have the patience and the kindness to bring something good into the world rather than taking from it? it doesn't come naturally to them because they are made to be rough and not gentle but they take the time to learn anyway? to nurture? to care? haha thats so funny dude thats so cool. hope this thematically doesnt make me explode into a million little pieces if i think about it too long

With rain forecasted for another few days (at least) and me getting sick of scrubbing her down from head to toe after walks, we hit up a local pet shop to play dress up!

The lovely worker helped us find a raincoat that Juniper could tolerate (she’s really fussy and quite nervous about wearing new things) and although it is a little short on the body, it somewhat matches her harness, is nice and light, comes with a removable fleece, and it goes on really easily which is helpful for Juno!

Even better, they gave it to me for a fiver. Bargain!

#it’ll help keep some of her dry at least #it’s a lil dog charity shop ran by volunteers and the rescue it benefits pulls puppy farm dogs to put them into foster and adopt out #so I got a good deal!! #we did try one that covered more of her body including tum and legs but juno hated it and I couldn’t get it on #this was the best we could do out of all the options #oh and the lady gave her a complimentary toothbrush treat for being so brave and juno carried it all the way to the coffee shop

Link stopped for a few days on a farm and was paying to stay with hard work, he was resting in the barn after a long day when he felt someone plop on the made out bed he made for himself, he smiled awardly at Jenny wondering what she was doing there.

The farm girl smiled back at the blond, hoping she wasn't going to scare him off. Not that she thought that was possible with all the subtle-not so subtle looks he had been given her. It was cute to see. "Hello, Link~ Thought I would just drop myself on by for you to see if you needed anything." Jenny tried not to make herself seem to obvious, although the very low cut top and hiked up skirt to show off her legs certainly didn't help that. "You have been working sooo hard~" One of her hands even caressed down the length of his arm, smiling still.

yea i literally have one less cat than you and probably the only reason we don't have the same amnt is bcuz my sister is out of vet school and isnt takin care if adoptable cats anymore. anymore time there we'd have at least 2 more istg. i dread the day my BiL brings home another stray.

so real. the only reason i haven’t adopted more is because i got out of a school program that had a tendency to go ‘hey someone wants to rehome this cat’ and i, obsessive email checker that i am, would always see it first and go CAT and talk with whoever needed their cat rehomed and i didn’t even take the cat each time but i love cats sm and i mean, what’s one more? <- belief that has led to having so so many cats. besides. i’m not the only one who does it. my mother adopted a cat who’s owner moved out through work friends and we’ve all brought in a stray at some point. we try to get them rehomed before we get attached but…. that happens pretty quickly and also no one wants cats around here? that we know at least. and even with all of our cats we still will go to the shelter and foster queens/very young kittens (separate from our cats ofc) because we have so much experience with newborns and let’s be honest, kittens are so fucking cute. like. there will be points where it feels weird to not have fosters. but we need to take breaks else we’ll get too attached

#ask #it’s actually been a year or so since we last fostered bc of a bunch of shit that’s been going down #once we fostered a puppy and. taking her back was very difficult #our shelter just lets people foster with very minimal paperwork #we can just walk in and be like. hey can we have some kittens and they’ll go ofc and we just take them home #there were times where i came home from school and there is a new litter of kittens and a momma cat and i’m just like. hehe :) #though they do stress me out because i’m not great with change #but that’s really only if we’re going from none to fostering and not fostering regularly #i remember talking to someone about community service and i was like is fostering community service #and they were like uhm. that’s just having a pet so no #like. no. fostering is not like having a pet because do u have a 6 extra cats/kittens in your house as a pet??? regularly??? #anyway this person was an asshole not bc of this but a bunch of other things so their opinion means nothing #i think it counts because it takes the load off of our (very crowded) shelter if you pick up a queen when it’s kitten season #though it is a lot of effort and is not for everyone #we just happen to be a family that’s had like. i can’t even count how many litters tbh #when we lived on the farm we had *at the very least* 2 litters every spring and fall. which is wild now that i think about it
