quick supergirl thought but i believe english js like her. 4th language. obvs she speaks lurvan (argo, kandor etc.) kryptonian, but i think alura in-ze is from somewhere else bc her name is a completely different style to dru-zod, jor-el etc. and it would explain why kara is kara zor-el rather than kal being kal-el and not kal jor-el, bc they have different traditions, languages and cultures. so second language is alura in-ze's native tongue, personally i think it's urrikan based on continents appear to have consistent languages & act as countries. her third language is amazonian greek bc i like the wonder woman origin and they took her away before she really could've mastered english, so her first earth language would've been amazonian greek. and then she learnt english from the danvers

What if: Visiting Kandor
Whenever Superman visits Kandor, it is both something to look forward to and something to dread.
He gets to enjoy being with his Kryptonian family and being a normal if somewhat celebrity life.
He loves spending time with wise yet kind Uncle Zor-El, his austere Aunt Alura, and their playful, loving daughters.
He admires and respects his cousins Don-El & Van-Zee.
And he enjoys spending time with various individuals, both within and outside of the House.
However
The adults of the inner circle of the House of El always had a meeting.
And the final agenda of the meeting,
Every. Single. Time.
The threat of one Lex Luthor.
Kal-El has to convince his House NOT to interfere with his dispute with Luthor.
Every time!
His uncle, the Head of Kandor’s ruling council & Elder of the House of El, voices his concerns.
His cousin Van-Zee hints in a way only Kal understands that he could help as Nightwing.
Son-Zod, a foster child of Zor-El and Alura (think JL: Gods and Monsters), insinuates having him assassinated.
Don-El, head of Kandor’s police force, is actually in favor of this as he doubts the Phantom Zone could hold someone as dangerous as Luthor.
Kal-El frequently has to voice he has it handled, Luthor doesn’t know about Kandor, it’s safer for Kandor to remain hidden, he’s careful with his disguise, his suit has some resistance against Kryptonite, no he will not wear a War Suit as it will scare the general population, NO he will not disgrace the House of El be condoning an assassination!
“Lex Luthor is the father of MY child, & therefore MY responsibility!”
That is usually what ends the debate.
And what usually follows is Don-El, the head of the House of El, informing his younger cousin that if Luthor becomes an active threat to Kandor’s people, he WILL act.
The only one Kal-El can comfortably talk about this issue with is Val-Zod, another foster child of Zor & Alura.

Kara Zor-El burns her child-cloth, a custom observed in a number of Kryptonian cultures. This signifies her first tentative steps into a Kryptonian stage of life analogous to a combination of Earth human pubescence and young adulthood. With this new life stage comes new responsibilities, an expanded social circle, and even a few perks like an intercontinental flight clearance and a passport!

November 1981. Embiggenable family tree for the pre-Crisis Superman, from SUPERMAN: THE KRYPTON CHRONICLES #3. Here's a breakdown:
Superman's paternal grandparents were Jor-El I and Nimda An-Dor.
Jor-El I had a sister, Kalya Var-El, who married Nim-Zee, a member of the Kandorian Science Council, and a brother, Zim-El, who married Byma Ruth-Ar.
Nim-Zee and Kalya Var-El had two sons: Gem-Zee, whose daughter Thara Gem-Zee later married Ak-Var (Jimmy Olsen's successor as Flamebird), and Van-Zee, who later married the Earthwoman Sylvia DeWitt (and for a while succeeded Superman as Nightwing, hero of Kandor). Van-Zee and Sylvia have two kids, twins Lyle-Zee and Lili Van-Zee.
Zim-El and Byma Ruth-Ar's son Kru-El (Jor-El's cousin) was sent to the Phantom Zone for creating forbidden weapons.
Jor-El I and Nimda An-Dor had three sons: Jor-El II, his twin brother Nim-El, and their younger brother Zor-El.
Nim-El married Dondra Klu-Ta; their son Don-El later became the police chief of Kandor.
Jor-El II married Lara Lor-Van; their son, Kal-El, became Superman.
Kal-El's maternal grandparents (Lara's parents) were Lor-Van and Lara Rok-Var.
Zor-El married Alura In-Ze in Argo City after the destruction of Krypton. Their daughter, Kara Zor-El, born some years later, became Supergirl.

Zor-El and Alura Zor-El in live action
Smallville would make Zor-El into a villain and completely ignore Alura.
Supergirl would recast both her parents after Season 1.
