bc i love this fucking show and they're so silly. it's like shadowsan taking care of 4 children (theyre all grown ups) and its so funny. I don't think there's a picture of the 5 of them together since player usually talks through his phone without leaving his house so i had to look up the pngs and make one myself with their canon heights.

Aurinko Crime Family:

Queer! Space! Pirates!! It's kinda your typical "it started as a heist but along the way we became family" story, but in space. And not a single person is cishet. An ex private investigator and sharpshooter with only one eye, his very cool and smart hacker assistant and ex lover thief who he ran away from, because he has problems basically get adopted by a cool crimeboss lady with a metal stomach, her wife, who is a doctor and also generally pro stabbing people, and a big dude, who gives great, but often cryptic advice. Oh, also a car that isn't a car. All of their dynamics are awesome. Buddy definitely has mom vibes. Juno and Vespa definitely have a sibling dynamic. The movie nights. Aaaaaaaahhh!

Here are some sketches I made of “The Missing Co-Workers event” And some details I enjoyed when making it.

I have to start with my favorite ending I drew:

The Figurine ending!

I had to draw inspiration from The Creation of Adam painting, no specific reason, I just thought it would look cool.

At first I thought putting everyone of the ending on the planks that lead to the figurine on the Cargo Lift (Image on the left). But I figured, the first figurine that we find in the TSP2 expo would look way better giving that amazing feeling you get when you collect them all! (Image on the right).

I'm happy with the result, I feel like there’s something so poetic about it, like when you first get that ending …

Ah! The confusión ending!

This one also had some changes, mostly on the first image (Left)

What I wanted is to everyone to be confused! That’s why no one looks happy in it (Except for the people who looked at the fern lol!)

But I also wanted some people to find the pages of Employee 432's lore. So it was either the secret hallway or the archives room.

I figured the archives room would be better, leaving everyone to wonder what they could find there…

Once again, I'm happy with the result on all the whole ending, I think it very much captures the feeling of dread and frustration you get when first playing this ending!

The silly ones I also enjoyed drawing were the Is This… a Bucket? Ending (left) Mostly because of @mrfisherot Oc, They sent me their cartoon-y Oc but I asked if I could do the literal png character they had and so I did! So he’s just there… fishing… It was so funny, I really enjoyed it!

And the Mariella Ending (right), This one was special! I think it’s the only ending where the oc faces cannot be seen, I felt bad for doing that but I'm glad both @whosectype and @pawl3ss liked the result. And of course, I had to do the Family Guy dead pose LMAO!

The Skip Button Ending…

The people in the skip button Ending were supposed to be on different scenarios (Images below) than the one the ended up being in the end (upper images)

I wanted to capture the same things I felt when playing this, fear, confusion, regret and amusement. I thought to myself “What would they do if they were trapped in a room for an eternity with everything around them changing?…

…And then… having freedom, just to realize everything is gone”…

This was the last image I drew, I remember tearing up from drawing the characters and thinking about the sense of freedom but at what cost?… I still like it, I think about this one a lot…

I'm not sure if I captured the feelings I wanted to portray but I'm still proud. This event was a hell to finish because of problems and delays but I'm so happy of seeing people find their friends on the drawings! to find each other! To find the missing co-workers…

he is SO committed to the bit that in the 5th season (yes, the 5th season, the show has only been ongoin for 3 years) he created a whole arc where the professor timetravels, has a dinosoar family, ryan meets the genie, and a hologram version of the professor has kidnapped ryan and been pretending to be the professor for the whole season!!

Hes also still ghost hunting with ryan on ghost files! he fought a ghost, had a nice chat with the babadook, and got called a nerd by a ghost (and also been being a little shit by hiding the walkie talkie from ryan, and has been playing with haunted dolls)

hes been exploring this weird and wonderful world!! and been falling on his ass and eating fun things! hes failing compitions! and dancing!

= I mentioned before in the first issue that this series was already discussing the topic of secret identities in a more nuanced way than the main series' "Zordon is a tyrant for having rules" strategy so I'm happy that's being continued here. = also off-subject but I see the occasional comment about how the civilian forms for these flashbacks look too young and it's like.....guys. They're only 22. If anything, drawing them like how they looked on the show is ACCURATE to their age, considering how old the actors themselves were when they were on the show kjdkfjdkfjd and anyway Dino Thunder lied to you. Tommy would absolutely be wearing tank tops as an adult. Those long sleeves were the devil's work

= I still say I don't want to get attached to any theory about Tommy and whether or not he'll end up alive but Rita seeming to be aware that he saved her daughter and getting his attention before doing the spell...........that's probably going to be important

= You guys don't understand how much I need the scene where Tommy and Kim discovered she was pregnant and the conversations they had afterwards. Every "ranger kid" story has been so bad about "what does the parent think about their kids one day inheriting their ranger powers" and The Return is the one closest to understanding this is a very logical and rational conversation to have!!!!!!!

on the importance of beta screaming

i would like to say a little bit here in this chili’s tonight about the vital, indispensible role of beta enthusiasm.

because yeah we all know we get tied in knots in our prose, write sex scenes with impossible numbers of hands, dangle modifiers, repeat words, commit horrifying typos like “he licks with his tounge.” i have several useless graduate degrees so yes i can fix all those things for you or offer revision suggestions. as well, i am a north american who lived in the uk and divorced a londoner, so i can also britpick or yankpick your fic. then, it’s important to have at least one beta who can check you if you’re writing about a culture other than your own. finally, i usually will only beta for fic with whose canon i am intimately familiar.

those things are helpful, even essential. but there is something else a beta reader not only can do, but has to do, and that is scream.

look it’s hard out here for a pimp okay. we are in our little offices or bedrooms or hunched on the bathroom floor with the phone just trying to write our little stories. we made a tiny gay man and we gave him problems, and now we are going to make it YOUR problem. and then we will all thrash around and yell happily together, for we love this tiny gay man.

but until someone picks that fic out of the tag and clicks on it and reads it and starts keysmashing in the comment box, you’re all alone. just you, in your head, in your room, while you’re walking around the park, while you’re shampooing your hair, while you’re cleaning the cat’s litter pan—it’s just you. (and, sure, also the imaginary friends who spout riveting or hilarious dialogue in your head. them too.)

and when you’re all alone with just your words and your little people, a terrible and completely unique kind of loneliness can sink in. were they the right words? were they funny, pretty, tragic, joyful, smart? do they truly convey the depth of your feeling? and above all else: can they compel someone else to feel what you felt? because you’ve read that fic that made you scream into a pillow at 2 am. and you wonder: can i do that for someone else? can i feel my feelings so strongly and so well that they reach out of the screen and haul someone else in along with them?

and in the hours, days, weeks of waiting for someone to reach back through the pixels for you, a beta steps in to fill that space. this, she will let you know, is good. this is REALLY good. this is so good she’s gonna dword. she has no chill. she is about to mclose it. how dare you. she thought you were friends. now you’re in a fight. elmo in flames dot gif., screaming girl dot png., spongebob burying himself dot webp.

this is not an OPTIONAL feature of a beta reader. this is not just a nice thing that it’s nice to have. this might be the ESSENTIAL function of a beta. her hand is over your head and it’s briefly sheltering you from the pouring rain. hey listen! she says, and she cups your face in her hands: SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP. and you, wherever you are in the world, even if you’re 24 hours away from her on the globe, you put your palms to your cheeks to feel the warm blush of happiness and relief. someone else is out there, picking up what you’re throwing down. and you did not fuck it up. it’s actually entirely possible that you nailed it.

without her, you wouldn’t know. and in fact in a small fandom, without her, there wouldn’t BE that much of a fandom. so you and your beta get to be a part of that little group of people who keep a set of stories, a family of characters, alive. that’s fun too. (plus you get to backchannel about all the horribly Wrong Opinions everyone else has. this both saves you from making an ass of yourself on social media, and will make you guffaw during a zoom meeting if you’re not careful.)

so get you a beta reader who’s a screamer. i said what i said. don’t settle for someone who can be nitpicky about the past perfect but who never says anything positive; people will remember and come to read the fic that’s stunning and strange and new even if you forget to use “had.”

i aim for about 50/50 between praise and suggestions (the same proportions i use as a professor), but if i’m honest it winds up being more like 80/20 for fanfic. that’s okay. if i’m gonna err, i’d rather err on the side of encouragement.

we get so little of that, either as writers or just in the world. we get so little hand-holding and shoulder rubs and affectionate hollering. so when you beta, think about letting loose a little. think about, sure, exaggerating for effect. you know how sweet it feels when someone gets all exuberant all over your drafts—so maybe allcaps a little bit, as a treat. it feels pretty great. you’ll see.

first up probably one of the single most roier cubito vibed lines ever: tengo que aceptar, pero si no te explico, lo que siento dentro, no vas a entender cuando me veas llorar / i have to accept, but if i don't explain, what i feel inside, you won't understand when you see me cry. up until now, he hasn't had to explain, not really. cellbit just gets him anyway and always. but clearly, something went wrong, if cellbit thought he could just do that, if cellbit thought going where roier can't follow without giving him any choice in the matter is somehow okay. before, explaining how he felt wasn't for cellbit. it was for roier himself, to try and process his emotions. but now it has to be for cellbit because something went wrong and the idea of him understanding how roier's feeling is no longer a certainty or fact of life. the conversation is no longer a worried, quiet confessional next to a noisy png filled hospital but instead the idea of a future confrontation that will be tinged sour by the reminder of how much things have changed.

More importantly though, he knows that if cellbit is alive and that if cellbit does return and that future confrontation does happen then it is inevitable that he will forgive him. quedate un momento asi, no mires hacia mi, que no podria aguantar, si clavas tu mirada, que me hiela el cuerpo, me ha pasado antes, que no puedo hablar / stay a moment like this, don't look toward me, i couldn't bear it now, if you fix your gaze, that chills my body, it's happened to me before, that i cannot talk. but he can't bear the idea of forgiving him yet. he needs to hold on to the anger for just a little bit longer, to wallow in the pain of being abandoned yet again for just a few more moments. to let the hurt overpower the love just for now. because the moment that cellbit looks at him again, the relief of him being alive will be all-consuming.

tal vez piensas que estoy loco, y es verdad: un poco / maybe you think i'm crazy, and it's true: a little. And yeah, maybe it is a little crazy that roier will be willing and able to forgive cellbit after all that. But love’s funny like that, no?

So for now, while cellbit is not here, he will keep clutching on to that pain. And he’ll be hurt, and he’ll be bitter, and yeah, he’ll even be a bit cruel to himself in his own head, blaming himself for not expecting what for all intents and purposes has always been the expected (because everyone before cellbit has also always left). nunca me senti tan solo, como cuando ayer, de pronto lo entendi mientras callaba, la vida me dijo a gritos, que nunca te tuve y nunca te perdi / i never felt so alone, like when yesterday, suddenly i understood while i was silent, life told me in shouts, that i never had you and i never lost you. At least if he’s callously straight forward and “”logical”” to himself, if he’s cruel and tries to convince himself that, well, clearly he should have been distrusting all along clearly he never really had cellbit clearly this was inevitable, if he approaches this in an i told you so matter, he can’t give in to the inevitable hope that keeps trying to surface and tell him that cellbit is not dead. Because if he does hope, and if that hope turns out to be wrong, again, that will be deadly. Because clearly cellbit’s actions are life shouting at him that he should have expected this all along. Because every time someone has left that has been life shouting at him that he doesn’t deserve that familial connection.

y me explicaba que el amor es una cosa que se da de pronto en forma natural, lleno de fuego, si lo forzas se marchita sin tener principio, llega a su final / and it explained to me that love was one thing that happens suddenly in a natural way, full of fire, if you force it it withers without a beginning, it comes to an end. This is basically their entire relationship. Their love is full of fire and passion, and it came about in such a natural way that, as cccellbit said it himself that one time, it looks inevitable if you go back and follow it from the start. And yet some people sometimes still try to complain that it was too sudden, completely ignoring how naturally it built up and how important their relationship is to the both of them.

ahora, tal vez, lo puedas entender, que si me tocas se quema mi piel / maybe now you can understand, that if you touch me my skin starts to burn. If just the idea of cellbit is distracting enough as is it will be impossible to ignore him when cellbit is in his arms again. Roier’ll be forced to confront the trust that cellbit has broken and how the love he has for him nevertheless endures. This is a reminder directed to the both of them right here.

ahora, tal vez, lo puedas entender, y no te vuelvas si no quieres ver que lloro por ti, que lloro sin ti / maybe now you can understand, don't return if you don't want to see, that i cry for you, that i cry without you. And again challenging cellbit, acknowledging that roier knows how much his own pain and hurt will affect cellbit if he ever sees it. Making sure cellbit knows and is prepared to confront how much he has hurt him and how it is his fault.

que ya lo entendi, que no eres para mi, y lloro / that now i understand, that you aren’t for me, and i cry. Back to the self pity and bitterness and loathing because clearly the trust was not as strong as he thought it was. Clearly there must have been something wrong or off from the start. Clearly they weren’t as perfectly meant for each other as he always thought. So what is there left to do but cry. (or at least wallow in his pain)

This might sound crazy but when i was a kid and i found out about warrior cats from an animation tribute i told my best friend about it and we choose characters we found cool to be, i was feathertail and she was leafpool, i was her adoptive daughter and my mate was firestar then crowfeather then jayfeather(HELP) and i had magical powers and my friend too and i created waterfallclan for us to live and we both had infinite lives and like 8432 children and she had a magical tree were only she could pick the leaves that could save anyone from dying and we or played with toys or played in jamboard with pngs of our characters and we did photoshopped pictures of our family and when the broken code was released we died and i reencarnated as bristlefrost and she as lightleap and we killed squirrelflight and crowfeather

Hello funny furries in my phone!!

I am in a bit of a sticky situation where I currently can't work because of acquired spinal injury and chronic illness - however need money for doctors appointments and imaging that I can't afford on government benefits. I am unable to take large amounts of work at the moment so will only be offering limited slots of the following, but may take more on if I am handling the workload okay.

More about my situation

I have a family history of spinal issues (my dad had major spine surgery when I was 6, with his side of the family having consistent acquired spine injuries going back generations) and unfortunately my turn on the family spine came a good 10 years before 'normal'. I seem to have 2 separate issues co-occurring in the T and S sections of my spine which are causing gradual motor function loss and a LOT of pain. I have also had a mystery fatigue/pain condition which we are now about to confirm as fibromyalgia since about age 15.

After my legs nearly gave out at work last November during a particularly bad pain episode at work, I went and got an intial MRI that showed irregularities in my spine in the areas my pain comes from. I have gotten much worse since then so need new MRI's with added contrast dye which brings the price up quite a bit (it will be $4-500+). I quit my job in February under the impression that I just needed to rest for a bit and could go to a less intense job after 3 weeks. I honestly don't think I would have lasted much longer if I didn't quit anyway because I was taking close to or the 24 hr limit of panedeine forte at work just for the 8 hour shift (needed to drive so couldn't take stronger opioids + opioids make me feel HORRIBLE). I think my body was holding out until I had a period of rest because I began declining quite rapidly between February and now.

I have been using crutches to help walk/stand for about a month and a half now and I can't stand for more than an hour max (30+ mins is starting to push it tho), which is a HUGE contrast to 6 months ago where I was standing 32+ hours a week and moving around constantly. I've also gone from being able to comfortably lift 25-30kg to struggling with less than 10. These limitations knock out a LOT of jobs I'm qualified for (read: non-skilled, physical labour) - so trying to find answers for what's happening to me is very difficult and slow because I can't afford to just throw myself at specialists; and with the unofficial and slow death of bulk billing in Australia even my GP is getting too expensive. My partner is also disabled and receives DSP from the government so is not in a position to help finance my medical care because he is barely affording his own.

You're of course under absolutely no obligation to support me (and this isn't a sympathy post), but sharing this around would mean the world to me because I REALLY need to get some money together for medical care.

bc i love this fucking show and they're so silly. it's like shadowsan taking care of 4 children (theyre all grown ups) and its so funny. I don't think there's a picture of the 5 of them together since player usually talks through his phone without leaving his house so i had to look up the pngs and make one myself with their canon heights.

Ghosts:

The Ghosts have been living (well, not living, cause they're dead) together in this house for varying times. Then boom. New person. Who is alive and can see them moves in (and her husband. Who can't. But tries his best to communicate anyways). They just hang out together. They have little storytime nights.
