"You're dead, Harrington!"
Steve sprints off down the hall, making a sharp left turn in hopes of losing him. He looks around at the doors, eyes settling on the drama room. Yeah, no one would guess that he would go in there.
He runs and easily pulls the door open, softly closing it behind him, leaning against the door to listen for Billy.
"You can't run from me!" he yells, somewhere outside in the hallway.
Shit.
Steve backs up a bit until he runs into something, and suddenly there's a hand covering his mouth with rings digging into his cheek while a bit of silver glints in his eyes. "Don't freak out, Harrington. I'm here to help. Hide behind the red curtain."
The guy lets him go, and Steve whips around taking in the guy everyone calls "The Freak." He just raises his eyebrows at him, so Steve takes the hint and darts behind the red curtains behind a throne of some kind.
There's a slight creaking, then Steve hears the door swing open and slam against the wall.
"Billy Hargrove. I didn't know you were interested in theatre," the freak says smugly. Eddie? That's his name, right?
"I'm not," Billy grits out. "I'm looking for Harrington. Seen him anywhere, freak?"
"Why would he be in here?"
Steve hears heavy footsteps as he walks closer to the curtain. "That's not what I asked," Billy says darkly.
"Well, I answered, didn't I?" Eddie replies, voice low with an undertone of danger. Shit, Steve didn't know he had it in him. "If you're so dense, then let me clarify. I haven't seen him. Now get lost or you'll never find him before lunch is over."
There's a pause, and Steve is certain that a fight is about to break out. Only, nothing really happens until Billy says, "One day you're going to pay for that, freak."
"Looking forward to it," Eddie says sarcastically.
A few seconds later and the door closes. There's a click that sounds like the lock turning which has Steve peeking out of the curtain.
"You can come out now."
Steve steps outside the curtain slowly, making sure this isn't some sort of sick joke. But he doesn't think Billy is that much of a planner, he's too impulsive.
When he doesn't spot him, Steve says, "Thanks. It's Eddie, right?"
The other boy looks surprised and even gets a small smile on his face. "Yeah."
"I'm Steve," he introduces himself, sticking out his hand and everything.
He gets a scoff and a, "Yeah, I know," in response, but Eddie still takes his hand and shakes it.
"I like your rings," Steve says genuinely. They're cool really. He wishes he would wear something like that without his parents and teammates getting onto him about it.
"Thanks," Eddie says, pulling a bit of his hair in front of his hair. It's cute really, almost like he's flustered.
Huh. He'll unpack that thought later.
"How did you get Billy to back off like that? I've never seen anyone do that." He can't help but be in a bit of awe about the whole thing.
Eddie chuckles. "I supply his weed. He knows better than to hurt me."
"Mabe I should start selling him weed then."
Eddie laughs loudly, showing off his dimples. Steve can't help but smile back.
"Hey," Eddie says, making his way to the throne and sitting back. "What did you do to get him that riled up anyways?"
Steve groans and takes a seat at the table in front of Eddie. "I know his little sister, Max. I just asked him how she was doing, and he freaked out. I think he misunderstood my tone."
Eddie laughs again, and Steve starts to believe that maybe the whole thing was worth it to see the boy's smile.
A silence settles between them, but Steve doesn't mind. It gives him a chance to look at him more.
It must fluster Eddie again because he ducks his head down and shakes his head.
"What?" Steve can't help but ask.
Eddie looks back at him. "Nothing, I just can't believe that Steve Harrington is sitting at my D and D table."
D&D... "Oh, that's like Dungeons and Dragons, right?"
Eddie's jaw drops. "You know what Dungeons and Dragons is?"
Steve shrugs. "My friend plays it, but he's in middle school, so you wouldn't know him. But hey, that's where the demogorgan thing comes from, right?"
Eddie continues to stare at him in disbelief mumbling something under his breath like He's friends with middle schoolers, and he knows what a demogorgan is. What the hell? Am I dreaming? He shakes his head and says clearly, "Yeah, yeah, that's where the Demogorgan comes from."
Another silence settles between them, and Steve doesn't know why he says it but he asks, "So, do you have a girlfriend?"
Once again, it looks like Eddie is about to have a meltdown, but Steve stands his ground. He's curious really.
Eddie shifts in his seat a bit uncomfortably before quietly asking, "Haven't you heard the rumors?"
Steve leans back in his seat and scratches his face absentmindedly. He's heard about "The Freak" before, but he didn't really pay much attention. He knows he sells weed. He failed senior year once or twice, he forgot how many times people said. And he once heard that he's a...
Oh.
"So, do you have a boyfriend then?"
Eddie freezes, fear evident all over his tense body.
"It's fine if you do," Steve assures him.
Eddie runs both his hands over his face and questions out loud, "Am I dreaming?"
"Do you dream about me often?" Steve flirts, leaning forward on the table. He can't help it, he likes how affected Eddie is by him.
Eddie looks at him for a solid fifteen seconds, tongue running over his top lip and brows furrowed in deep thought. He relaxes against his chair with a sigh. "You're not at all what people say you are."
Steve shrugs, uncomfortable that the topic has turned to be about him. "I try not to be."
"It's a good thing," Eddie says.
Steve smiles. He didn't know how much he needed to hear that.
The bell rings, and Steve feels a pang of disappointment.
"Hey," Eddie says as he stands up alongside Steve. He reaches into his black metal lunchbox and pulls out a sandwich in a little bag and a banana. He tears the sandwich in half and offers it to Steve along with the banana. "It isn't much, but I doubt you ate lunch. Have to keep all our star players in shape, right?" he asks with a wink.
Steve wishes he could stay longer to see him relax more. He takes them both, unpeeling the banana quickly while asking, "Is that weed in there?"
"Among other things."
Steve laughs and takes a large bite of the banana that has Eddie looking away, turning a light shade of red. Now he really wishes he could stay longer.
He finishes his bite and says, "Hey, it was really nice to meet you by the way."
"You too," Eddie says with a soft smile, finally looking back at him.
The warning bell rings.
Steve sighs. "I'll see you around, and hey, pass on a word to the next D and D leader about Dustin Henderson, will you?"
"Will do," Eddie says, and Steve's glad that it sounds like a promise.
He heads to the door and unlocks it quickly, pausing to rush back and press a soft kiss on Eddie's cheek. "Thank you again," he says before rushing out of the room with his heart pounding and a blush spreading over his face.
He can't help but think that he should thank Billy for being such an asshole.

this may be a lil crazy but can you do a vinnie fic where reader is one of the sturniolo quadruplets? maybe like the fandoms colliding, the “triplets” fans all collectively fake bullying vinnie (I truly feel like if they had a sister she’d be like everybody’s girl crush like maya hawke) and just how they’d be such a cute internet power couple
a/n: i’m so in love with this idea it’s kind of insane 😭 the second i saw it, i started writing. def not the best but i did what i could :)

vinnie leant back in his gaming chair as he stared at his screen. he had taken a pause on his game of valorant to focus on the questions or comments his viewers had for him.
one in particular caught his eye
who’s your celebrity crush?
“i don’t really have a celebrity crush. i mean, you guys know how i feel about margot robbie but if i had to pick someone else, i think i’d say yn sturniolo. she’s freaking gorgeous.”
lmaooo 😭
bro get in line
don’t tell him to get in line, he might as well cut to the front 🙄
she’s so pretty
YN ?!?!
“i take it you guys know her?”
know her⁉️ we love her
that’s bae right there😪
love of my life fr 😫
vinnie stifled a laugh as he eyed the way his phone lit up with a text almost immediately after what he said.
yn 💋
gorgeous???
oh, how generous 😔
he had unknowingly made a habit of responding to your texts as quickly as he could. so without much thinking, he reached forward to grab his phone and respond.
vinnie 🤭
gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, absolutely perfect
i can keep going
yn 💋
please do 😌
i’m kidding. pay attention to your stream, your fans are getting curious
he looked up from his phone, his cheeks flushing a bit at the idea of you watching him. his eyes trailed over to the chat,
what’s bro smiling about?
what are the odds he’s actually messaging yn right now?
zero. bro has no game^^
“bro has no game.” he repeated, chuckling slightly, “you’re not wrong. i’ll play one more game of val and i’m off.”
he placed his headphones over his head, shaking his head slightly, hoping he was nonchalant enough to push away their wonders.

you sat in the backseat of the car with your brother, nick as he spoke to the camera set up on the dashboard.
you could hardly pay attention to what was being said with the way chris kept pushing his seat back against your knees.
“stop!” you hit the seat, instantly getting him to start an arguement.
“you stop yelling!”
matt sighed, he had grown used to yours and chris’ banter, having dealt with it for his entire life. he chopped it up to the two of you being the youngest siblings of them all.
though, with the banter came the closeness between you two, so he knew you were only joking. however, the loud groan nick let out told him to get involved before the argument could escalate to anything more.
“leave her alone, chris.”
“she’s messing with me—“
“no, i’m not.” “no she’s not.”
“shut up! question is: who’s your celeb crushes?”
“i don’t think i have one.” matt shrugged,
“i’ll play it safe and say jacob elordi.”
“i’ll go vinnie hacker.”
chris frowned, turning in his seat to look at you, “that’s not your crush, that’s your boyfriend—“
“um— shut the fuck up?”
“dude, what the hell?”
“just cut it out, nick.” he waved off the eldest triplet, turning his attention back to you, “you can’t say your boyfriend is your celebrity crush, that doesn’t count.”
“they don’t know he’s her boyfriend, dumbass.” matt pointed out.
“just say someone else, we’ll re-film it.”
“no, because then it wouldn’t be authentic.” nick rolled his eyes, “i’ll cut her clip out. way to ruin it.”
“shut up! i was confused.”
“you’re always confused.” you scoffed, earning an offended look, “turn around.”

hi! could i get james potter fluff where they’re both just taking a stroll or they’re ice skating and reader suddenly slips and lands on their knee and gets a huge scab on their knee. reader plays it off saying she’s fine but she doesn’t notice that her knee is slowly bleeding and james freaks out? 😭
aka me, I SLIPPED ON ICE AND MY KNEE STARTED BLEEDING TODAY
Ahh sorry babe! Here's some Jamie to heal you <3 (I have no idea how this got so long sorry)
cw: mentions of blood
James Potter x fem!reader ♡ 1.4k words
“Whoa, you okay?” James skids to a stop beside you, ice shavings flying.
You grin at him, embarrassed. “Yeah, I’m good.” You ignore the burning in your knee, wobbling back to your feet. James sets a tentative hand under your forearm to steady you. “Sorry.”
He makes a face. You know him well enough by now to know it means he doesn’t want you to apologize, but he knows you well enough to know that saying it is pointless. The two of you set off again. You’ve got one arm in James’ hold and the other extended cautiously to the side for balance, but James Good-At-Everything Potter doesn’t even need to look in front of him as he skates. He glides along smoothly, maneuvering you both around kids with little plastic helpers and other inexperienced skaters like yourself with little effort. If he weren’t so himself, it’d be pretty irksome.
“What were we talking about?” you ask, laughing awkwardly.
“You were telling me about the cat outside your work,” James reminds you.
“Oh, yeah.” You shake your head at yourself a little, looking down at your skates just like James had warned you not to. They start to slip out from under you, but he holds you up until your right yourself. “Sorry, I’ve been going on about that forever.”
“No, it’s cute,” he says. “Don’t hold out on me, what happened to her? Did she get a name?”
“She did.” You glance at him, and he’s smiling encouragingly. James is always smiling at you. It’s incentive to keep talking.
You tell him more about the cat, and then he tells you about the puppy his parents adopted when he moved out, which he felt rather cheated about because he’d always wanted one when he lived at home. You tell him about the slew of fish you’d had as a child, which sparks a conversation about odd pets, which is how you learn about his friend’s pet toad. James seems to have a lot of friends. You’re starting to keep track of a few names, but sometimes they swirl together and you can’t remember who’s who. He doesn’t hold it against you.
You’ve only been on a few dates with James, but this is typically how they go. You show up all self-conscious and tense, and then he gives you one of his easy smiles and suddenly it’s like you’ve no reason to be nervous at all. James loves to talk, and you, oddly, seem to love talking with him as well. You enjoy the talking a lot more than the skating, and when your time slot on the rink is up you have to feign a bit more disappointment than you feel. As far as you’re concerned, the main event is going to be the hot chocolate you plan to have after this.
“Let me get that,” James says when he’s undone the laces to both his skates and you’re still struggling with your first one. He kneels in front of you, deft fingers easing apart the knot and then whipping the laces skillfully out of each of their little hooks. He starts to pull the skate off your foot, but pauses when his eyes flit up, catching on your knee.
He hisses through his teeth. “Sweetheart, what happened here?”
“Hm?” You bend over so your head is closer to his, trying to see what he’s talking about. Your leggings are wet through with blood, a giant ugly splotch around your knee. “Oh,” you say quietly.
“Oh,” James agrees, teasing tone at odds with the uncharacteristic frown pinching his features. “That looks rough. Do you think it happened when you fell?”
“Which time?” you joke.
His laugh is half-hearted. A diligent effort. He starts pulling up the one side of your leggings, working them up your calf. He hisses again, sympathy mingled with concern, when the bloody mess of your knee is unveiled. It’s almost impossible to tell where the cut is with the skin around it stained so thoroughly. You bite your lip to keep from making a sound as James peels the fabric of your legging away carefully, but when his thumb presses on the skin next to the wound you wince.
He inhales softly, seemingly as startled as you are, and gives you an remorseful look. “Sorry, lovely. How badly does it hurt?”
“Not bad,” you fib, though exposed to the cold air, the burning is starting to get to you.
James looks like he knows, mouth pulling to the side compassionately. His eyebrows come down behind his glasses as he tries to get a look at the wound. You try to ignore the tingling that results from him gripping the back of your knee the way he is. Tenderly, with more care than you’re used to.
“Alright.” He gives the side of your calf a little pat, rising to his feet. “I’m going to go find someone who works here.”
“Oh, James,” you protest as he walks away, “it’s really not that bad. I’ll take care of it at home!”
“Stay put!” he calls over his shoulder.
As if you’d ever leave without him.
You try not to fidget while he’s gone, feeling awkward and pathetic sitting all bloody and alone while other groups taking off their skates chat around you. James returns a short time later with a sullen-looking employee in tow. You give them a tight smile, and James returns it with twice the gusto, talking up the teen worker who looks like they’d rather be anywhere else. He’ll come around. You doubt anyone can resist the James Potter charm.
“Such excellent service they have here,” James says lightly, sitting beside you on the metal bench. He sets a casual hand on your knee, putting a stop to the bouncing you didn’t realize you’d started. “I asked for a first aid kit and they gave me a whole Martin.”
Martin declines to comment. He unpackages a tiny antiseptic wipe, going after your bloody knee with unfeeling determination.
You bite down on your lip, and James’ dark brows lower, his eyes flickering between you and Martin indecisively. You give him a small smile that you hope says Please don’t say anything to this poor kid on my behalf, even if I potentially start crying. James seems to get the general idea, returning your smile and intertwining his fingers with yours consolingly.
One benefit of Martin’s vicious treatment is that it’s over quickly. Before long, he’s slapping a plaster on your cut and telling you both to let someone (not him, presumably) know if you need anything else. A man of few words to the last.
James takes his place before you can move, kneeling in front of you again.
“Is that really it?” he asks disbelievingly, delicately stroking the edge of the small plaster with his thumb.
“I told you it wasn’t bad,” you tease softly.
He blows out a big breath, blinking up at you. “I thought for sure it was going to need stitches. How do you bleed so much? You scared the shit out of me, sweetheart.”
“Sorry.”
The look he shoots you is about as stern as he ever gets, disapproval buried beneath a heap of fondness. “Don’t,” he says.
You fail to hide a smile, and he fails to hide his reciprocation, dropping his chin back towards your knee. It really looks now like you’ve both been quite dramatic, the blood all cleaned up and a tiny plaster covering what turned out to be only a small scrape. From the feel of it you know it’ll be horribly bruised in the morning, but it really was never anything too dire.
“Do you think you can straighten it?”
“No,” you deadpan. “I think I’ll probably need crutches, actually.”
James looks up, startled and delighted by your joking. “Yeah?” There’s a breathless sort of laughter in his tone. “What do you think, ten days’ bed rest?”
“Oh, at least.”
“Mm, and I suppose someone will have to bring you all your meals as well. Feed you chocolates and pastries and all that, keep you company, serenade you from time to time.”
Your lips twitch. You can feel your face warming faintly. “Seems best.”
James nods, aiming for serious but missing by a mile with that ever-present curve in his lips. “Well, I guess we’d better get you home, then,” he says, worming his arm under your knees.
You don’t realize what he’s up to until the other one wraps securely around your back, and by then it’s too late.
“James!” you gasp as he hoists you up, grabbing onto his shoulders. “Put me down.”
“Don’t worry sweetheart, we’ll still stop for hot chocolate. I’d never deprive you of that.”

Summary: Javi's Girl Dad skills get put to the ultimate test when your oldest daughter gets her period and you're not home to help her
Word Count: 2.9K
Pairing: Dad!Javi x Wife!reader (No use of y/n)
Warnings: Periods/getting a period for the first time, Javi being the ultimate Girl Dad, the Peña girls being the queens of sass, teamwork makes the dream work, just cute, sweet fluff 🥺😭
A/N: We all know that Girl Dad! Javi lives rent free in my brain, and as I was buying more tampons for myself today my brain went "Oh my god... could you imagine if Osita wasn't home when Lucy got her period and Javi, Elliot and Harper had to try and help her until Osita got home?" 😂😩 And of course, our elite girl dad would do anything he needed to in order to step up and make sure that his lil girl was okay 😭 This was also super fun to write because I feel like the girl's spunky personalities really shine through in this one 💀

“Mom? Mooommm?!”
“Why do you need Mom?” Elliot responded to her older sister, Lucy, frantically calling out for you from behind the bathroom door.
“I just- I- Will you please just go get Mom, okay?! I really need her.”  Lucy sighed, panic filling her voice with every passing second it took for her sister to answer her request. Normally Elliot wouldn’t have been so quick to comply without haggling to negotiate a favor on her end, but even the 11 year old could sense the pure terror in her older sister’s voice.
“Fine, fine.” Elliot huffed, making her way to her other sister’s room down the hall, pushing open Harper’s door to rally her for support. “Harper. Go help me find Mom.”
“Why?” Harper asked, giving her sister a confused look as she set down the stuffed animals she was playing with on her bed.
“Because, Lucy sounds like she’s having a mental breakdown in the bathroom and she needs mom’s help.”
“Do you think she pooped her pants?!” Harper looked at Elliot with a disgusted and confused grimace on her face, the girls pausing for a moment to shake their heads in horror at the potential current state of their sister.
“She did sound really upset… I don’t know Harps, just go look for Mom, okay?!”
The girls quickly split, Harper taking the rest of the rooms upstairs while Elliot sped down the stairs to see if you were anywhere on the first floor.
“Mom?! Mommy are you down here?!”
After many years of raising 3 girls under the same roof, the two of you had learned how to tell the difference in your girls’ tone to distinguish what they wanted you for- Tattling, excitement, annoyance, you and Javi had pretty much heard it all. But the way that Elliot was calling out for you immediately caught Javi’s attention.
Someone was in big trouble.
“What’s up, El?” Javi called out wearily from the living room, lowering the volume on the TV as his daughter came speeding in, fear flooding her face.
“Where’s mom?!” Elliot demanded, looking around the room for any sight of you. Her worried tone quickly had Javi up and off the couch, scrunching his brow at Elliot in concern at what kind of trouble the girls had gotten themselves into that they were so frantically looking for you.
“Mom’s at the store. What’s going on?” Javi asked again, trying to keep even keeled, crossing his arms over his chest as he stared down at his daughter.
“I don’t know, I swear! Lucy just kept calling for Mom from the bathroom. She sounded really freaked out, though. Harper and I think she shit her pants.” Elliot replied, holding up her hands in defense to rid herself of any potential blame, trying to keep from giggling at her last sentence.
“Elliot Marie.” Javi groaned, rolling his eyes at her. “You said she’s in the bathroom?”
Elliot nodded, giving a little shrug for her lack of clarity around her sister’s current circumstances. Letting out a little sigh, Javi reached over for the remote on the couch, turning off the TV before making his way up the stairs to find out what in the world was going on.
Javi, Elliot and Harper now found themselves gathered around the outside of the bathroom door in confusion, Javi gently tapping on the door before speaking. “Hey Lucy, it’s me. What’s goin’ on, bud?”
“Where’s Mom?!” Lucy replied, sounding like she was trying her best to hold back her sobs, muffled from behind the bathroom door.
“She’s at the store right now, babe. What’s going on?” Javi asked again, looking down at Harper and Elliot who were looking back up at him, the 3 of them perplexed as to why Lucy was so distraught.
“Did you poop your pants?!” Harper shouted, trying her best to ask seriously, although the two girls on the outside of the bathroom door couldn’t help but snicker to themselves. Javi groaned, rolling his eyes at Elliot and Harper, taking his hand to shoo them away, silently mouthing “Seriously?! Go play.” as the girls scampered away in a fit of giggles to Elliot’s room, leaving just Javi outside the door, waiting for a response.
“... I really need Mom.” Lucy choked out through her tears as Javi leaned against the door, running his hand over the back of his neck in a mix of bewilderment and frustration until his realization hit him like a ton of bricks, his face going ghost white in terror.
Lucy got her fucking period and you weren’t home.
Javi could feel himself physically starting to sweat in panic trying to figure out what the hell to do. Even if he called you to come home, you probably still weren’t going to be back for another 45 minutes, and he wasn’t going to let his daughter sit in the bathroom horrified and alone until you returned. Letting out the deepest sigh he could muster, Javi knew his only option was to do this on his own, and hope he didn’t traumatize his oldest daughter, or die of embarrassment in the process.
“Uh… Lucy, I’m really sorry but Mom’s not- shit- You… You’re gonna have to trust me to help you though this one, bud.” Javi grimaced, wincing at his own words, wondering to himself how he was going to get himself and his daughter through this.
A stark silence hug in the air between them, barricaded by the bathroom door as Javi anxiously bounced his leg, waiting for Lucy to say something, anything, back to him. “How do you know what’s going on?” Lucy questioned hesitantly, probably still just as in shock as Javi was that the two of themselves were stuck in this situation together.
“I uh- I’m just assuming because you wanted Mom- and uh, you’re- you’re in the bathroom and that you’re upset that you got your per-”
“EW DAD?! Don’t say it!! That’s so weird!!” Lucy snapped from the other side of the door, Javi automatically holding up his hands in defense and taking a step back from the bathroom, taking a moment to carefully choose his next words before speaking again.
“Sorry, sorry. Uh, kiddo, listen, I can call Mom but she’s not gonna be home for a while and I- I can’t just let you sit in there until she comes back. Can I- will you let me help you?” Javi asked, preemptively wincing, bracing himself for Lucy’s reply.
“Yeah, I- I guess. Just please don’t be weird, Dad, I’m literally already gonna die of embarrassment and that’s without your help.” Lucy groaned, accepting defeat that she was going to have to let her Dad, of all people, help her through her unfortunate circumstances. Javi let out a sigh of relief that he at least wasn’t going to have to fight with Lucy or leave her stranded in the bathroom, but as he sat and thought about the fact that he was going to put a plan into action… Given the choice between this and chasing down Pablo Escobar or the Cali Cartel? Javi would have been on the first flight back to Colombia.
“Okay, let me uh… I’ll um- give me one second okay?”
“Not like I was planning on going anywhere else anytime soon.” Lucy grumbled, just loud enough for Javi to hear as he sped to Elliot’s room, where he found his other two daughters blissfully unaware of what was happening, building some sort of creation out of Legos.
“Girls, you gotta go do something for me okay?” Javi pleaded, leaning in the doorframe of the bedroom, looking down at his daughters on the floor, pausing their Lego construction, their dad now capturing their attention.
“Okay.” The girls said in unison, giving their dad a little shrug of compliance.
“Can you uh-” Javi ran his hand over his red face, trying to find the least mortifying way to ask his daughters to help, “Can you guys go to Lucy’s room and get her a pair of underwear?”
“EW GROSS DAD.” The girls shrieked, sticking out their tongues in disgust and Elliot pretending to vomit to add to the effect.
“You guys… Can you just- please?” Javi practically begged, trying his best to keep calm and blow things even more out of proportion than they already felt like they were. Elliot and Harper sat quietly for a moment, the gears in their head visibly turning before Elliot spoke again.
“...What’s in it for us?” Elliot asked, tilting her head and shrugging at her sister, too smart for her own good to ever pass up on an opportunity to bargain her way into a better deal.
“Helping your sister.” Javi gruffed, impatient for his daughter’s negotiating antics as his other daughter sat helpless in the bathroom. Elliot and Harper both raised an eyebrow at their dad, sitting on the floor in a determined silence to get something in exchange for Javi’s proposal. “... 5 bucks for each of you, fair?”
“5? Seems a little low for such a risky task.”
“Fine, 10, now go so we can help your sister.”
The girls gave each other a quiet high five before pushing up off the floor and racing past Javi out of the bedroom door towards their sister’s room, Harper’s voice carrying down the hallway.
“I told you she pooped her pants!”
Now having figured out one part of his predicament, Javi made his way back to the bathroom door to check on Lucy as he waited for Elliot and Harper to return. “Hey Lucy… You… You doin’ okay?” Javi asked, his hand brushing through the dark ends of his curls at the back of his neck.
“Yeah… NEVER been better.” Lucy groaned, her voice oozing with sarcasm, a trait she had so lovingly inherited from you, and something Javi couldn’t even come close to being upset with her about, given her current situation. Before Javi could respond, Elliot and Harper were barreling down the hallway, Elliot holding out a hockey stick with a pair of underwear hooked at the end, Javi shaking his in disbelief.
“Seriously, El?” Javi gestured at the hockey stick Elliot had passed off to Harper, now stretching it even further in front of her to distance herself from her sister’s underwear, using the other hand to plug her nose.
“What?! Desperate times call for desperate measures, Dad. It was actually Harper’s idea.” The girls nodded proudly at their accomplishment, Harper freeing her hand from her nose to fist bump her sister at the execution of their plan.
“Jesus Christ…” Javi muttered to himself under his breath, pinching the bridge of his nose and rubbing his temples, “Okay, Lucy? I’m gonna open the door enough so that your sisters can drop a new pair of underwear in there for you, alright?”
“DAD!”
“SORRY!” Javi groaned, trying his best to restrain his frustration from how stressed he was, surrounded by all 3 of his daughters trying to manage the biggest crisis he had dealt with to date. Barely opening the door a crack, Javi pointed to Harper to sneak the hockey stick through the empty space, turning it over in hopes that the underwear had fallen to the floor for her sister to grab.
“Harper that’s my new stick! Are you serious?!” Lucy shouted through the opening in the door, as if she needed another reason to be more enraged than she already was. Harper quickly jerked the stick back, slamming the door behind her, dropping it on the floor out of guilt before shouting back.
“Sorry! I didn’t wanna touch your underwear, that’s gross dude.”
“You got me dirty underwear, are you kidding Harper?!”
“No they’re clean, but like… They’re underwear, it’s nasty. Your butt touches it.”
“True that.” Elliot chimed in, leaning against the wall behind her dad and Harper, adamantly nodding in agreement at her younger sister’s reasoning.
“This is literally the worst day in the history of the world.” Lucy groaned in dismay, Javi now recognizing the soft sobs of his daughter return, his heart breaking and his brain fried at how he was going to manage the rest of this shit show until you got home. Javi tried to shoo away Elliot and Harper once again, but not before Elliot could rub the tips of her fingers and thumb together,  silently asking for her promised $10 from her dad. Javi frowned, shaking his head no, Elliot getting the hint enough that now perhaps was not the best time to collect her payment. Tugging at her sister’s sleeve, Harper dragged Elliot back to her room, trying to distance herself from her angry sister as much as possible, once again, leaving Javi and the closed bathroom door with his daughter locked behind it.
Javi leaned his forehead against the door, his face buried in his palms letting out a few deep inhales and exhales to maintain his composure, given the fact that he hadn’t even gotten to the part of helping Lucy she legitimately needed.
“You okay, bud?”
“No. What kind of question is that, Dad?”
“Touché.”
“Okay so… so- what- what do I do now?” Lucy asked, her voice quickly shifting from sass to scared, her words meek and timid as she waited for any sort of guidance about what to do. There was nothing that broke Javi’s heart more than seeing any of his girls anything but happy, and to hear the terror in Lucy’s voice made him absolutely crumble, especially when he definitely was not the ideal person to be aiding in this situation.
“Okay, well, uh- in the cabinet under the sink, there should be a pink box and a purple box in the back corner of the second shelf. Can um- can you uh, check to see if you can find them?”
A soft rustling came from behind the door as Lucy rummaged through the bathroom cabinet, the sound of several items falling to the floor in her scramble. “Okay, I- um, I found them. Which box do I use? Do I use both?”
“Purple. Take one out of the purple box.” Javi quickly responded, letting out a panicked gulp, wanting to make sure he was not adding to his already detrimental embarrassment of having to explain tampons to his daughter. “Okay uh- Jesus- okay you, um- you gotta just uh, pull the little paper part off the back…” He paused, trying to give time for Lucy to follow his inadequate directions, taking her silence as his cue to continue, “and then it should be sticky. And then um, then you gotta, uh- take the sticky side and-”
“Okay, yup, got it, please don’t say anymore.” Javi could practically feel Lucy wincing at his directions, leaving him anxiously drumming his fingers along his forearms as the toilet flushed and sink ran, the bathroom door slowly creaking open to reveal a very sheepish and embarrassed Lucy, eyes pinned to the ground to avoid any direct contact with her dad’s.
“Hey kiddo,” Javi grimaced, trying his best to casually greet his daughter, trying his best to keep things from getting any less weird than they already were, “How you uh, how ya-”
“Dad,” Lucy interrupted, holding up her hand to stop her dad, “I love you, and thank you, but I don’t wanna talk about this ever ever again, okay?”
“Understood.” The two nodded in a silent agreement, eyes still peeled in separate directions as Lucy sped off to her room, promptly closing the door behind her with a loud slam, leaving Javi alone and flabbergasted, sinking down with his back against the wall trying to process the shit storm that had just blown through the Peña household.
The rest of the afternoon was spent in an uncomfortable silence between Javi and the girls, his only peace offering being to bring back 3 bags worth of McDonald’s nuggets and fries, knowing that if Lucy was anything like you, the only thing that was going to bring her any sort of joy from her period pain was endless amounts of deep fried, crispy, salty potatoes, and that fast food (on top of their 10 dollars) was enough bribery to keep Elliot and Lucy from harassing their sister about the events of this morning.
When you arrived home, you were surprised to be greeted by nothing but the sound of the TV, setting your bags down at the front door as you made your way to the living room where you found Javi and the girls sitting on the couch, McDonald’s bags placed in between the uncharacteristically hardy distance now dividing your husband and daughters.
“Hey you guys, how’s it going?” You asked hesitantly, shooting Javi a concerned look at your family’s current set up.
“It’s uh…” Javi paused, looking back over at his girls, all 3 of them burning menacing glares at their dad to keep him from spilling the beans on this morning’s circus, “It’s been an interesting day.”
You cocked your head to the side, feeling even less reassured by the uncomfortable tension brewing in your living room, Javi and the girls now looking even more awkward and apprehensive than they had a few moments ago. You tried to give each of them the silent stare down to see if any of them would break, but whatever pact they had formed before your arrival was holding strong, no one cracking under your investigative pressure.
“Okay… Well, if you guys wanna tell me about it then-”
“NO.” Your daughters shouted in unison, frantically shaking their heads to stop your question.
“Like I said…” Javi grumbled, “It’s been… a day.”

peek-a-boo / choi yeonjun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: your boyfriend unintentionally and or accidentally spoils your comeback
pairing: idol au, yeonjun x reader
warnings: none, maybe one cuss word
wc: 459
Tumblr media
"Yeah, she's been doing alright, thank you guys for taking it so well and being supportive" yeonjun says before shoving another mouthful of salad into his mouth.
With the constantly new announcements of idols dating, you and yeonjun decided to confirm all the rumors that had been circulating. But also, because he was jealous how you were always paired and shipped with straykids' hyunjin.
"But I've seen a handful of negative comments and reactions but hey *shrugs* what can I do, except file a lawsuit" he smirks as he takes a sip of his smoothie.
"Should I show you guys some cute pics and videos I have of yn?" He reaches for his phone as soon as he saw so many 'yes' replies. Clearly excited to show you off. "Here take a look at this, she fell asleep on my chest for the first time here."
He continues to show his fans as well as giving out back stories to each one, everything was going fine until he swiped to the next one (screen still facing the fans to see) and it's a clip of you recording your unreleased song, you comeback title track.
Luckily, he noticed right away and paused the video, putting his phone down and yelling sorry over and over again. "YN IM SORRY, PLEASE DONT HURT ME" spinning around in his chair while his face is covered by both his hands.
Apologizing not only to you but everyone on you team basically, begging moa not to spread it around but he knew deep down, he fucked up.
The situation got more interesting when you knocked on the door where he was at. "You guys, whatever happens to me, you'll have it on camera, documented." Pointing two fingers at his eyes then to the camera. "Yeonjun stop being dramatic and open the door."
He sighs out dramatically and opens the door. "Heyyyy baby, didn't expect to see you here" pulling you into a hug "wanna say hi to moa, the ones that made me the idol that I am, the ones that protect me, the ones who-"
"I'm not mad" you pull away from the hug and look at the way his face quickly changes into a confused bewildered one. "Is this a trick?"
"No, why would you think that?"
"Well, I don't maybe I JUST SPOILED A SONG THAT YOU HAVEN'T EVEN RELEASED YET!" then he turns back to the phone and begs moa again not to leak anything.
"Don't you think it's too late for that?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" for the rest of the live, you joined in and for the rest of the live, yeonjun was freaking out inside on what could the managers and producers say to him later.

Steve's exhausted after a day at the museum with his daughter. She spent all day running away from him to get to the next exhibit, and he spent all day fondly chasing after her and wishing he'd brought the backpack leash with him. The ride back to Hawkins from the city is about an hour and a half, so he made sure to rush to get on the train first to secure them seats at a booth table. Sam having a place to put her toys down is very important for tantrum-avoiding reasons.
So sue him if he doesn't notice that there's a man sat opposite them when he finally gets to sink down into a seat on the train.
He's leaning down to find Sam's two action figures he let her bring with her, when he hears her start giggling next to him. When he sits back up, he's a little startled to see a man with long, wavy, pretty hair sat opposite them. He's making silly faces at Sam, a book held open in one hand as he puts all his energy into poking his tongue out at the 4-year-old.
In response Sam blows a raspberry at the man, and Steve holds back a laugh. God, the man is charming him without even talking to him. He's cute, and he's unafraid to be silly to make a kid smile?
"Alright, Samshine, I don't think this poor man wants your germs all over him. What do we say?" He prompts.
Sam looks chastised, and goes from giggling at the man to pouting at her dad.
"Sorry." She says to him, but Steve shakes his head gently and pointedly glances to the stranger, "Oh!" She gasps, "Sorry, Mr Stranger."
The stranger just chuckles and shakes his head.
"No worries at all, milady. But please call me Eddie, Mr Stranger is my father."
Steve was not expecting that reply at all, and he can't help but let out an audible laugh. Eddie's brand of charming is a little weird, but Steve likes it. Sam, on the other hand, is frowning at Eddie in confusion.
"Okay, you have to call me Sam though! Wait- Your last name is Stranger?"
She asks, and sounds so excited about the possibility that Steve ruffles her hair.
"Unfortunately not. I was just trying to make your poor dad laugh, he looks very tired. You had him running around all day?"
The question is all it takes for Sam to launch into a play-by-play of her entire day, and Steve feels like he should apologise for her behaviour, but Eddie genuinely looks like he's having a good time talking to her.
"I'm sorry if you were planning on reading, I think Sam's thinking you're her new best friend." Steve chuckles after a bit, partially because he also wants to talk to this pretty stranger and partially because he knows how overwhelming a 4-year-old talking at you can be, but Eddie just redirects his bright smile to Steve.
"No, no. This kid's a better storyteller than any author. But, if I'm gonna talk with her any longer I feel like I should know your name too?"
"Steve. Steve Harrington." Steve introduces, and smiles at the man, whose eyes go a little wider at his name.
"Holy shi-shrimp. Holy shrimp. Harrington?" Eddie squints at him for a few seconds, and then nods and leans back, "Wow, it really is you."
"Sorry, do I know you?" Steve feels a little awkward, mentally running through where he could know Eddie from. He supposes he looks a bit familiar, but not enough for him to comment on it.
"Daddy stop talking to Eddie he's s'posed to play superheroes with me!" Sam interrupts them, and shoves one of her action figures across the table toward Eddie.
"One second, Lady Sam. Your daddy went to high school with me and doesn't even remember! This is blasphemous!" Eddie says before Steve gets the chance to say anything, dramatically clutching at his chest like he's in pain as he goes.
At those words Steve pauses a little. High school?
It's his turn to squint at Eddie for a second, and he suddenly remembers the renowned drug dealer turned super senior. Eddie Something. Steve never really talked to him, mostly because he was repressing his queerness and Eddie was hot and open about his freak status and that scared him. He racks his brain for Eddie's last name. It begins with an M for sure. Munson!
Wait. Drug dealer. Talking to his kid. He better not be doing that anymore. He distantly wonders if there's any product in Eddie's backpack that sits on the seat beside him.
Eddie seems to know the moment Steve's connected the dots because Steve goes from squinting in confusion to squinting in suspicion.
"You don't even need to ask. No, I no longer..." Eddie pauses to look at Sam, "I no longer am an entrepreneur. Or- Well. I am, but I'm a tattoo artist."
"Okay. Good. And before you ask I'm no longer a..." He holds both hands over Sam's ears and only mouths the next part, "douchebag."
Eddie laughs and nods.
"I see that. Can't believe I didn't recognise you with the glasses." Eddie says.
"Daddy." Sam whines, and dramatically shakes her action figure, "I wanna play."
"Alright, alright. Sorry, Eddie, we'll have to catch up at the high school reunion." Steve jokes, and Eddie pulls a face.
"Ugh, as if I'm stepping foot in Hawkins High ever again. You'll have to give me your number if you wanna catch up." Eddie says with a wink.
Steve blushes and looks down, and Eddie's words seem to catch up to him. Steve distantly wonders what the hell Eddie’s doing going back to Hawkins. It doesn’t sound like he still lives there, and Steve hasn’t seen him around.
"Unless, of course, there is a Mrs Harrington. In which case, I am so sorry and will play superheroes with your kid the entire rest of this train ride." He rushes out, looking a little embarrassed.
Sam giggles at the words.
"Daddy's not married, silly!" She laughs a little more after that, finding everything hilarious, "Now can we play?"
Eddie lets out a relieved breath, and glances at Steve again with a little smile, before putting all his attention on Sam and picking up the action figure she wants him to play with.
"Of course, Lady Sam. Only if I get to be the villain."
Steve reaches into his pocket for the tiny notebook he keeps there, and scrawls out his number before he can think too much about it. Robin’s always telling him he needs to put himself out there more. And Eddie already knows about Sam, which is half the battle for Steve when it comes to dating. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Eddie’s just as attractive and charismatic 8 years out of high school.
Sam only looks a little peeved when he interrupts the intense superhero-villain fight she's having with Eddie to slide his number across the table.

— JAKE
Sure Jake was being trained by Neytiri the way of Navi but after the end of every session he would come find you.
You knew Jake before he got his Avatar body, and you assumed him being so comfortable around you was the reason he always sought you out—and not because he returned your affection.
So imagine your surprise when your standing by the edge of the water, in the middle of taking off your shirt but pause because Jake’s back flexing with water droplets were far too distracting.
“Are you feeling shy now?” Jake muses, turning around to look at you with his big yellow eyes. They squint slight as he smiles, showing on his shape teeth.
You scoff with a roll of your eyes, continuing to take off your top to hide your flushed cheeks, “Why should I be? It’s you.”
Jake laughs, the sound of ripples in the water draws your attention back to him, only to quickly dart them away when he walks out the water, bare naked.
Jake has always been a confident, cocky guy. Just because he had a new body didn’t change that. If anything, it made it worst when it came to you.
You look so small standing there like a deer caught in headlights. How could he not tease you? You made it too easy. It was cute—you are so freaking cute.
“Exactly, it’s just me.” Jake squats down, covering his junk as he playfully coos, “The water will be cold by nightfall if you don’t hurry.”
You purse your lips, dropping your shirt and pull both your bottoms down in one fluid motion, ignoring the thumping of Jake’s tail hitting the ground repeatedly.
Inhaling sharply, you finally turn to look him in his eyes, surprised to see him already looking at your face. His lips curl more now that your attentions on him, “Loser last in the water has to break it to Grace that she’s worst than a helicopter parent.”
Your breath hitch when you see him stand up quickly, ass on display as he runs back to the river. Getting over it, you shout after him, “HEY! You’re cheating.”
— TONOWARI
It was not a complete accident that he stumbled on you in the water on night, far from seeing eyes. He definitely wasn’t already looking for you, no no.
He was going to make his presence known, maybe ask why you were so far away, when he glimpse of your bare chest and he finally understood.
This was clearly a private moment, he conducted, as he turns to leave despite his mind tell him to invade it anyway.
“Tonowari?” your faint voice calls his name, most likely caught him as he pauses, thinking of ways to prove his innocence if need be, “It is you!” you laugh, drawing a blue blush to his face.
You sounded so adorable.
He stands still with his back turned to you, deciding to remain respectful, “I didn’t mean to interrupting your alone time. I was just walking by.” It was obviously a lie because there was no just walking by this far from the village.
You hum, smiling with a tilt of your head, “Do you want to join? I don’t mind your company.”
Your company. Your. You said your, not any company or just company. You singled him out.
Now Tonowari was a patient man, he was going to be chief soon so he had to be. But with you, patience didn’t fly completely ti the wind, it was just sat aside.
He’s turning around against his better judgement, about to join you in the water but you stop him.
“I’m naked.” you blurt out frankly.
Tonowari’s eyes zone in on your form. He already knows that. But hearing you say it makes his chest hurt and his ears hot, “Oh..”
Be respectful Tonowari, look away, be calm.
“There’s a fee to join me,” you muse, “You have to be too.”
You’re the death of him. He swears it as he tensely removes his gear, the lioncloth being the last piece he drops aside.
His eyes are back on you as yours is on him as he walks into the water and swim to you. He didn’t mean to get so close, your skin brushing against his, but he’s not complaining when you complete close the space.
— TSU’TEY
Tsu’tey is a respectable, responsible man. He doesn’t do foolish things. He had a reputation to uphold.
Yet somehow you convince him time and time again to let loose, have some fun moments and risky decisions.
Somehow, someway, your reason have reached the ears of him and he’s agreeing again to one of your ridiculous ideas.
Skinny dipping? What even if that? Must be something JakeSully told you.
“You hang around JakeSully too much.” he’ll tell you in between listening to you explain how you came to know it. You roll your eyes, getting to the good part on what it actually was.
His mouth is agape, ears perked up in attention. That’s what Skinny dipping was? And you wanted to try it with him out of any other man in the village? Perhaps he should be thanking JakeSully for giving you this information. He doesn’t.
Instead, he follows you to a deep river, watch as you peel back all your clothing and step into the water.
You look so stunning, literally take his breath away. And when you look back at him so mischievously, telling him to hurry up and join—there was no hesitation found as he removed his clothing and met you in the middle of the river.
— NETEYAM
What started out just fishing in silence beside one another, as one does around their secret crushes, turns into a little challenge of who can catch fish the best using their technique. The loser gets to do whatever the winner wants.
Neteyam was confident, thinking this might be his chance to prove himself a worthy mate and confess all at the same time.
He loses though. He wasn’t focused. He couldn’t focus, not with all your teasing jabs, infectious laughter and star stealing smile.
He’s not mad, though, at least it was to you. There was no way you’d ask him to do something terrible—spoke to soon. Did you just dare him to skinny dip? Did he hear that right?
“Are you scared, ‘yam?” you taunt him over your shoulder as you walk future away, somewhere secluded in case he does decide to do it.
Unsurprisingly, he’s following you like a moth to flame, eyes trained on your figure when you disappear behind some foliage. With his heart beating loudly against his chest in both nerves and curiosity, he hurries after you and sigh in relief when your still there, but close to a body of water he’s never seen before.
You know you dared him. But only because it’s something you’ve been wanting to do for a while. The water looked so tempting, if he didn’t go through with it, you just might.
Looking over your shoulder at him, you lock eyes, “I know I dared you but I kinda feel like going for a dip too.” you admit, turning back around to slowly strip out of your clothing.
You assume Neteyam is just standing there like a lost boy when your final article of clothing falls but is surprised to see an outstretched hand in your peripheral view.
“You’re gorgeous.” he admits bashfully when you touch his hand, face hidden behind a few strands of falling braids, “Thank you.”
“For what?” you ask, confused as you stare at him, only to be the flustered one now.
“For trusting me.”
How does he always make something so wholesome???
— LO’AK
Lo’ak wasn’t sneaky. He couldn’t get away with anything if he tried. So you immediately knew he had a crush on you, it was so painfully obvious. And it was painfully cute.
You were just hanging out one day, a little time after the eclipse has started. Simply talking about anything under the pandora sky when a specific topic was brought up: dares you did or declined.
One dare was how you declined to skinny dip because you were way too nervous at the time but regret it because it sounded so thrilling now that your older.
Bro doesn’t miss a beat. Lo’ak is asking if you wanted to Skinny dip right now. There was no one around—he knew a place, you trust him enough. Why not?
He’s right. What’s stopping you at this point? Not a damn thing.
At first, his intentions were entirely pure. It sounded fun. He’s never done it before, it’ll be cool to do it together. One of the many first with you if he actually confesses.
Then your clothes start to come off, leaving you more exposed than he dared to dream. The water glistening your skin, white freckles glowing in the dark. Damn you were beautiful—
“Thank you.” you smile, watching him as he watches you. He hasn’t even taken off his clothes yet, so lost in everything that is you. The shock on his face was hilarious when he realizes his mistake.
With his face flushed purple, he quickly averts his eyes, “I said that out loud?” He murmurs, mainly to himself in confusion but you heard him loud and clear. It was just you two, after all.
“You did,” you turn away, walking deeper into water, “I think you’re beautiful too. Even with all your clothes still on.” you tell him teasingly, laughing to yourself when you hear splashing water behind you.
He will not fumble this!
— KIRI
Your brother called her a freak but you thought of being the most interesting person to come to this village.
She was different in every way—she looks different from the rest of her family just by little, she acts different when nature is involved, and she sounds different every time you hear her speak.
She changed the way you think, the way you see your world. Does she know that you want her in it?
You weren’t sure and it was all you could think about when you walk with her through the trees, just enjoying what Eywa has blessed you with when you come across a body of water.
Watching as she goes near it, you were going to suggest going back, but then she accident fell in. When she resurface, your shocked to find her chest bare, her too somewhere in the water.
Kiri quickly covers herself, cheeks turning blue out of embarrassment, and though it was cute and she looks attractive right now, you felt bad.
Before you mind can tell you how bad an idea this was, you removed your top, smiling at her, “There’s no reason to feel embarrassed,” you tell her, slipping into the water beside her, “We’re both woman.”
She hesitates, eventually dropping her arms and look away, trying to distract herself with something else.
You shouldn’t watch her as intensely as you did but she was beautiful, you wonder if she knew that, “I think you’re very beautiful…Kiri.”
She looks back at you, smiling shyly as she lowers her eyes too, “I think you’re beautiful too…” she returns softly.
Nope. She was too cute. Before she saw it coming, your tackling her in the water, screeching how adorable she is.
— AO’NONG
Both of you were still young adults, and not looking to court anyone yet but at the same time—there was this interesting dynamic of teasing, heartfelt moments and occasionally sexual tension.
You not being one to talk about your feelings, are quite a trouble maker. Anything under the watchful eyes of Ewya was fair game to help you avoid it.
Ao’nong just happened to be around after one stressful day; just lucky enough to tag along when you venture further from the village.
“Where are we going?” he ask, watching your back flex as you move, occasionally shifting to the surrounding area to keep watch.
“You didn’t have to come.” you snap, peeking over your shoulder with a glare. Ao’nung simply shrug his shoulders, a small smile etching his face and remains silent.
He was confused why you’d stop at a body of water so far from the village when it was surrounded by it. He was going to question your motive again, but then you start taking your clothes off and his breath away.
It was too late to look away. He saw everything before you walk into the water, leaving him standing there unsure of what to do for once in his life.
You notice this, of course, smirking at him from the water. It’s a rare sight to see Ao’nung flushed. What kind of idiot would you be not to exploit it.
“Ma Ao’nung. What’s the matter? Something caught your tongue?” you’ll tease him, leaning back in the water to swim backwards, giving him an eyeful of your chest.
Ao’nung’s brows are furrowed at your teasing, trying to come up with something—anything—to say but finds nothing but a dry mouth.
You’re giggling, swimming back over to him because you felt bad. With a beaming smile, you reach out to him, full body on display, “Sorry. Come swim with me.”
He did a lot more than just swim with you after he got over the shock. You don’t get to just tease him so causally.
— TSIREYA
Two friends skinny dipping, nothing wrong with that.
Expect there was cause you were totally crushing hard on Tsireya. And maybe she felt the same, it was kinda hard to tell with her.
You don’t know why you brought it up—maybe because you knew her tail would cutely flicker in excitement yet her words the polar opposite.
For someone who was afraid of what ifs, she sure crumbled pretty easy after a little persuasion.
When you get to a secluded area you came across one day, she’s having doubt again. You don’t try to change her mind this time, already filled with adrenaline at the thought and just strip your clothes.
Now she can’t exactly leave you by yourself, or so she claims, and that it might be more comfortable for you, not her, to be naked too.
“You are trouble, (Name).” Tsireya giggles, wading through the water to reach you. The depth gets deeper as she does, that now the only way was to swim.
Smirking, you reach out to her, holding her arm close to your chest, “It’s so exciting right?” you ask curtly before adding, “but there is absolutely no chance of getting caught!” when you catch her pointed look.
“So we’re here alone, by ourselves?” Tsireya ask the fifth time that night, surveying for good measures.
Rolling your eyes, “For the last time. No one is coming!” Honestly she’s lucky she’s cute with her doubtful ass.
She’s looking back at you with a cheeky grin, “Good.” and tackles you into the water.
Safe to say, you now knew she really liked you by the end of the night.
— ROTXO
You woke baby out of his sleep.
It was a stir of the moment type of adventure and if you didn’t do it now, who knows when you will.
He was confused at first, not understanding what you were coming off about when you lead him further from the mauri’s.
Given if this was anyone else, he’d be agitated, rejecting whatever it was at first sight. But it was you, he’ll follow you through storms if the choice was an option.
It’s only when you let go of his hand, running to a body of water and stripping out of your clothes did everything start become clearer.
Man was alert, standing stiff where you left him. Glancing around to make sure no one was around for your sake and his, if you know what I mean.
“Rotxo, what are you doing just standing there,” your laughing at him from the sea, “Did you forget already!?”
No, he doesn’t even remember you getting naked in front of him being a possibility outside of his thoughts. He would remember if something said lead to this. Yet it has as you continue to claim.
“Don’t leave me by myself!” you whine, splashing water in his direction.
Like he would ever dare. The guy was crushing hard, spending any second with you—near you is what he dreams. Literally anytime with you was a blissful moment.
Saying those words cause him to pause. It was clear that you want him, well, want him there next to you. And he could never say no to you.
He’s awkward as he strips out his gear and loincloth, definitely the most embarrassed out of all of them.
He’s quick to enter the water, hoping it would cool him down but his temperature only rises when you swim closer, practically chest to chest with him.
“I feel much better now that your here. Don’t you?” you tease, peering up at him as you place a gentle hand to his shoulder.
“Yeah.” he replies breathlessly, unable to look away from your face, in fear that he might drown himself.
You drag your arm down his arm sensually, “It’s okay to look, Ro…”
It was embarrassing having you have to hold him up, for more reason than one but the main being because he really did almost drown that night.

I'm begging for a Buggy x f reader where reader ate the Flame Flame fruit and Buggy watches her mess around with her flames before a little girl in the "audience" begins to cry so reader goes over to her smiles and sits down to do a few tricks for her and he like melts at how cute it is. If that's too much I understand.
It's not too much I promise! I do be loving Buggy XD I didn't focus AS MUCH on Buggy and reader because I got carried away by the cuteness of a fem reader making a cute little show for the little girl. But there are a good few precious paragraphs with Buggy being a sweetie. As much as he can be XD
Word Count: 1,322
Tumblr media
You’d been on Buggy’s crew for a while, and though you didn’t fully agree with his ideals, you were willing to put up with it. If it meant getting closer to him, you didn’t mind too much. He was funny, and was good at taking charge of a situation. His crew was loyal to a fault, and you were no exception. He may get mad often, but to the people he cared about he wouldn’t harm them for anything.
You were there, in a new town, and he gave the townspeople a chance to join the audience of the circus…or there would be consequences. Almost all of them had heard of Buggy the Clown, so they followed with brief hesitation. He had a habit of making a name for himself everywhere you went, so within a couple shows the “audience” was mortified. They knew one wrong move and it may be the last they made.
You were one of the acts, having the ability from your devil fruit to create flames in any shape or size. It took a while to get used to it, but now it was second nature. He sought you out the second he saw what you could do, and with his charm? You didn’t have to think twice about joining his crew. Even…if being called a freak all the time wasn't exactly what you had in mind for your life. He didn’t say it in a derogatory way though, just a fact of the people and beings who weren’t accepted by regular society, and gave you all a name to identify as and live by.
In some form…it became an endearing term. You knew you were a freak at heart, as not a lot of people throughout the blues had a significantly strong and bizarre devil fruit. It was a way to show…that even if most of the world didn’t agree…you had a home, here with Buggy and his freaks.
But you were still a kind person, so when it came to your first act for the audience, you noticed a little girl crying and knew you had to do something. Buggy would lash out at anyone for ruining his show, but…he had a soft spot for you. And it WAS your act being performed, he trusted your judgment. He was intrigued as to what your plan was for this, always watching the acts from backstage to see his freaks performing at their best, and sometimes even at their worst.
“Hey…hey it’s okay. Are you afraid of fire?” You knelt down to the girl’s level, and she recoiled back a little bit. It was clear she was scared, but you wanted as many people as possible to enjoy your show. If even one person was in turmoil, you’d do what you had to in order to make it fun! “Don’t worry, it’s not gonna hurt you.” You backed up a bit and made the smallest flame possible on the tip of your finger.
She still looked scared, and just nodded once to confirm she didn’t like your flames. You smiled, and tried to ease her fears. Your performance was much bigger than a couple small blazes, so you eased her into it, not even noticing Buggy watching curiously from backstage. “Wanna see a couple tricks? Just for you!” Your grin was wide, and you made a small ball of flames, no bigger than a baseball and tossed it from hand to hand.
She looked scared still, so you made a couple balls and juggled it a couple feet away from her. While she looked afraid, a bit less so in seeing how small it could be. “What’s your favorite animal?” You paused the juggling and tilted your head in a comical way, making the small balls disappear. “Any animal in the world!” You spoke loud enough for others to hear, but not loud enough to give her another reason to be anxious.
She gulped, and you could see her mother next to her rubbing her shoulders to try and soothe her. Her mother looked confused and hesitant, knowing what crew you were on. Who knew what you had in store for her daughter? You could just be trying to get her guard down to scare her even more, and she was clearly protective. Admittedly, for good reason. You were a pirate after all.
When the girl didn’t respond, the mother said quietly, “Tigers…she really likes tigers.” She was guarded, and the little girl nodded at the words. Just in case, the mother held the girl even closer to make sure you weren’t gonna try anything funny. And not in the good way, like normal circuses would be.
Your smile grew and grew, and you clapped, “That’s perfect! Very fitting for a circus, you have good taste!” You winked, and the little girl smiled briefly. Like a good freak, you decided to carry on with the show in a way. It’s far from what you planned, but it would do.
You backed up, and started with a small and slow flame, barely flickering. It warped as you willed it to, and it slowly began to grow into the shape of a tiger. The stripes were blue flames, the rest their regular red/orange. It grew to be the size of a real tiger, and you had it run around the stage before stopping in front of the girl. It wasn’t always easy to make your flames harmless, but it was worth it when you saw this little girl light up in excitement as you gave her permission to pet it.
And with that, the show had ended after a few more tricks and Buggy even let all the audience go. He pulled you aside, and he looked…different. Not angry, not irked, not even slightly irritated. He looked…proud. Though he wouldn’t tell you, he already had strong feelings for you. With that performance, and what you did for the little girl…he knew that you’d be his wife someday. He tended to rush a lot, but not this time.
When he pulled you aside, he embraced you. It was confusing, and you were wondering why your captain was being so randomly affectionate. “That…was our best show yet.” He couldn’t get the words out he wanted to, but when you pulled back looking confused he decided to try. “When you made that little girl happy…it made the show that much better. I can force people to watch our show, but people don’t always be genuinely happy. It’s what I want. Second…to being the pirate king and being feared, but you made me realize a good show doesn’t always have to be planned.”
You smiled, and hugged him again, “Thank you, thank you captain!” You knew he wouldn’t abandon his goals of being feared and renowned but it was a start. “I was worried you’d be made for me derailing my show for a while…” Looking sheepish, and looking away from him before he pulled you back.
He placed his finger under your chin, and gave you a look that showed how much he adored your performance. It was the softest look you’d ever seen on him and it admittedly made you blush. “You might just be my favorite freak.” He chuckled and you ended up blushing even more. “Now I won’t be able to do a show without you, so you better be prepared to put on shows with me the rest of your life.”
You smiled, and knew you’d want nothing more. To get closer to your captain like this…made feelings bloom in your chest, only hoping he truly felt the same. After that display of affection, you were even more determined to grow closer to him. With conviction, you said the words that he loved to hear from you.
“Yes Captain Buggy! We’ll put on shows for as long as we can! To the future king of the pirates!”

The Switch Of Daylight- Birthday Wishes
(Youngest Shadow New Moon)
Tumblr media
[One] [Two]
Charlie and I are downstairs, getting the gifts ready right before we make our way up to go wake up Bella.
Or she’s already up we just need to give her these presents. Charlie goes up first with me behind him excited. He knocks on the door once and then enters. “Happy Birthday, Bells.” He says. “Dad, [Name] we agreed no gifts.” She tells us and I roll my eyes. “At least mines is not wrapped.” He hands her a digital camera, “Okay, this is actually kind of great. Thanks, Dad.” She grinned at it, Charlie then gives her another gift, this time it was wrapped.
“Goes with this one, from your mom. We coordinated- well, she coordinated me.” He explains and I smirk as I did hear all their phone calls. “Mines not a part of it.” I hand her mine, “Don’t open it yet.” She nods and places it next to her. She opens the gift from Mom, it’s a scrapbook. “To put your pictures in, record your senior year.” He says then pauses as he thinks for a moment. “Man, senior year. How’d you get old so fast.” He teases her. “Not that old,” Bella mutters.
“I don’t know, is that a wrinkle.” He jokes but Bella freaks out, racing over to her mirror, searching for the wrinkle. “I was kidding.” He huffs. “So not funny Dad.” She grunts.
Charlie makes his leave and I close the door behind him. “Open my gift.” I grin. “[Name]-” “I don’t want to hear it.” I cut her off, shoving the gift in her arms. I patiently wait as she opens it. There lay two silver bracelets in a box. Had two charms each on both, hers having a dark blue gem then a plate that had the words “Love you, always” engraved into it. Mine had a red gem with the same saying. She smiles and then pulls me into a hug. “I keep forgetting how cold you are now.” She laughs, stepping back and we put the bracelets on one another. “I love it, thank you.” She jingles it around and I snicker, doing it back.
“I’m glad because I had no idea what to give you. But I wanted to piss you off with a gift.” I winked, and before she could say anything back I was already out the door.
I rode my motorcycle to school, I had told Angela that I’d give her this book I owned but I kept forgetting. Pulling into the school Angela’s already jogging over to me. “You brought it?” I then let my face drop jokingly, she doesn’t know I’m joking though. “It’s okay if you forgot again-” I cut her off with my own laughter, pulling out the book from my backpack. She sighs and chuckles too, taking the book from me. “I had to.” I bump her and then stand up from my bike. Taking off my helmet and placing it on the bike. I turn back to her with a smile, fixing my hair as well.
“I miss your septum.” She suddenly says and I raise a brow. She starts to stammer as I patiently wait for her to let it out. “I mean, I didn’t actually mean to say that out loud it’s just um, you got rid of it out of nowhere it was a part of you and now it’s like an empty... Space.” I cross my arms, kind of agreeing with her. “I guess that’s true.” I shrug. I walk her to the others but not even within minutes Bella comes and they rush over to her truck like a flock of geese.
I watch as Bella forces them to take pictures on her new camera, they all have fun with it even though Angela doesn’t like pictures she joins in as well. It was cute. It ended as fast as it started though once that familiar Volvo pulls into its normal parking space. I smirk as their faces falter. “Oh good, Cullen’s here.” I hear Mike say dryly. “Yay,” Jessica adds. They walk back over to where I was. Jessica turns to me “You’re dating the other two but you’re not like obsessed with them.” If only she knew. I shrug, “Too many homophobic and judgy people for that.” They all give me a look. “You know I’m right.” I laugh, I then notice Jacob running towards my sister, Edward seems very irritated. I didn’t even realize the group went away from me as arms wrapped around my waist, lips kissing my shoulder. I take the arms, pulling the person in front of me, I already knew it was Alice. We stood there waiting for Jasper to join us.
We walk into the school together. Alice and Jasper holding hands. Alice was holding a wrapped gift in her other hand. “Do you think she will like it?” She asks me and I take an annoyed breath. “Bella doesn’t like gifts in general but she will appreciate them.” I was not annoyed with Alice, but more with my sister who acts like she doesn’t secretly like the attention she inevitably will always get on her birthday. We went to the side of the hall, I kiss Jasper’s cheek. “Hey, cowboy.” He scoffs a laugh, rolling his eyes. Ever since he told me his backstory I’ve been teasing him about being a “cowboy”. “Hi, darling.” He whispers for me to hear. I peek over to see Alice staring at us, we look slightly down at her since she is shorter than us.
I pull her into our arms, she looks up and pecks at my lips. “You know for your birthday you’re going to get spoiled, right?” She tells me in a matter-of-fact tone. “I look forward to everything you wish to give me.” I place my hands on her hips as Jasper then points out that Bella and Edward are walking through the door. As Jasper and I walk slowly Alice skips over to my sister, presenting the present. “Happy-” “Shhh” Alice hugs her, leaning over to her ear and whispering “Birthday.” Over Alice's shoulder, she makes eye contact with Jasper who offers a nod. She pulls back from Alice, trying to hide the gift. “Alice, didn’t I say no gifts?”
“You did, I didn’t. I’ve already seen you open it and guess what? You loved it!” She excitedly says. “You had a vision about my birthday.” Bella seemed annoyed but I knew she appreciates my girlfriend. “And about the green dress, you’ll be wearing to your party tonight. Great color on you.” She compliments her, also giving away the fact that she’s throwing a party for her.
“My party?”
“Please? It’ll be fun.” Alice pleads, I hold Jaspers's hand. “Can I?” He only nods and I drain his energy then focus on Bella who slumps, defeated. Only because I’m controlling her emotions. “I guess I can deal-” “Great! See ya at seven!” Alice hugs her before racing off before she can change her mind. I laugh, squeezing Jasper’s hand as a thank you. “Wait, Jasper, no fair with the mood control.” She pouts and he gives her an apologetic nod. “Wasn’t me,”
“Was me!” I called, we get dragged off by Alice leaving my sister slightly upset.
I told Charlie about the party, I was wearing this black suit that Alice requested I wear. Lately, she’s been dressing me in what style she thinks fits me best. Very fancy stuff I might add. I left on my bike to go help finish setting things up.
Getting there I was set to be with Carlisle on some things. I hold my hands behind my back pretending to act innocent. “Do you think I can change without Alice getting upset?” I ask him and he laughs shaking his head. “No, not at all.” We lean against the kitchen counter, watching Alice who is making sure everything is perfect. “I figured.” I take off the jacket to the suit though.
Bella and Edward finally make their way into the house, she’s wearing the exact dress Alice told her about in her vision. I smile, finishing up with Carlisle before heading over to Jasper, giving him a quick kiss. “What was that for?” He asks and I kiss him again. “Just wanted to,” I tell him happily. “You look amazing.” He compliments, I roll my eyes. “I never want to wear a suit again.” He laughs in response. “I’m serious.” “I know you are.” He kisses the top of my head.
Alice comes between us, taking our hands and leading us into the living room. “You two look perfect.” We lean down so she can give us both a kiss. We stand up straight and chuckle at her as she goes to get the lovebirds upstairs.
The three make their way down the steps, and Bella is immediately embraced by Esme and Carlisle. “Sorry about all this. We tried to rein Alice in.” He humors her. “Like that’s even possible. Happy Birthday, Bella.” Esme steps back with a grin on her sweet face. I notice Alice holding up a camera right as she clicks it to go off. The flash startled my sister a tiny bit. “Found it in your bag. You mind?” She asks, Bella shakes her head no as in she doesn’t mind.
“Dating an older woman. Hot.” Emmett speaks up to Edward. I hide my face in Jaspers's shoulder laughing. “What?” He asks defensively after Edward had elbowed him.
Rosalie then steps up, handing Bella a silver package. “It’s a necklace. Alice picked it out.” She walks away. Short. Not sweet. But short.
Bella finally looks over to Jasper and I. She waves and I know it’s for him, he does it back and I smile, proud of him. Alice snaps a picture of him and I then back to Bella. “Show me the love!” Edward pulls Bella into an embrace, they look deeply into one another's eyes. Another flash. “For your scrapbook. Now open your presents.” She drags the girl over to a table with a pile of gifts, a huge cake, and a stake of chine plates.
“Alice, I’m the only one who even eats.” She motions to the huge cake. “Hope your hunger. Here, this one’s from Emmett.” Everyone crowds around, I stand in front of Jasper. Bella opens it to see an empty car radio box. “Um… thanks?” She looked up, confused. “Already installed it in your truck.” He proudly states.
“Finally a decent sound system in that piece of-” “No hating on the truck. Thank you, Emmett.” Bella smiles then Alice hands her another gift. “Open mine.” Bella starts to open it then she cuts her finger on the wrapping. “Ouch, paper cut.” Blood appears and I feel Jasper tense and I get pushed aside. “No!!” I shouted as he lunges at my sister. Edward flings Bella behind him causing her to crash into the table. The plates shattered beneath her. I run over to her as Edward shoves Jasper into the wall but he ricochets off it and comes back at Bella. Emmett along with Carlisle tackles Jasper to the ground, Alice holds him whispering to him to comfort him.  I groan at the scent of her blood, trying to help her. My jaw tensed.
Bella lifts her arm up and a pool of blood leaks out. I grunt, getting her to stand up. “I need to get out of here,” I say through gritted teeth. Accidentally pushing her onto Carlisle I storm out of the house. Not even moments later Emmett and Rosalie bring out Jasper.
I stare at him, draining his energy, his snarls coming to a complete stop. The two let him go and he falls to the ground as he’s losing more and more control of himself. I don’t even realize how far I am going. “[Name]! Calm down!” Alice shoves me back and I stumble back. He lays there collecting himself. “He- My sister. I am not sorry!” I rub my face, and looking back at him I notice dark circles under his eyes.
“I didn’t mean to go that far.” I bow my head down. “I forgive you, I need the night to myself and my sister though,” I tell them both, frowning at the sight. I go back inside and Edward was waiting outside of the door where Bella was getting cleaned up.
“You hurt her.” I spit out, his eyes glancing up at me. “You have brung nothing but trouble to our lives,” I tell him with sincerity. “I wouldn’t have been a monster if it was for you entering her life.” I point a finger at his chest, but he doesn’t respond. “I am angry that I now have to risk her life just from a cut.” I shove him into the wall. “You will fix this.” I furrow my eyebrows angrily at him, pushing him further into the wall right as the door opens. I step back. “I’m driving you home.” I grab her by the arm, she tries to get out of my grip but I don’t allow it.
“[Name]!” “Enough! You will go home with me and that is final, Bella!” I shout at her, “Enough with this game and risking your fucking life!” I scream, she finally drops down defeated and we step outside. All of the Cullens are watching, Rosalie is even tense from the scene. I let Bella climb in and I slam the door.
“You all think about this night. Think about how you’re putting my sister in danger.” I speak just loud enough for them to hear me and not her. “Am I clear?” I fold my arms. They only nod in response. “I will talk later.”
So this one is a little shorter than my last few but wanted to end this chapter here or else the next one would've been way too long for my liking. Also, Alice's height is 4'10 in the book so that's what I'm basing it off of. Jasper is 6'3 and I'm making [Name]'s 5'6 medium height bitch. I kind of got writer's block. Well not really, I can write the story in my notebook but I can't get it all on my computer because I get a little bored after a little bit. It takes me longer to come up with ideas when I'm typing compared to actually writing it might be weird but it's what I do.

EDDIE/CHRISSY/YOU THREESOME….DUDE…… chrissy is lowkey feral. eddie keeps trying to cut in and she just won’t let him, because she’s having so much fun w you and “you’ve fucked girls before, i haven’t >:(“ and she has a point bc shes had sex before w jason but w you, everything is so new and soft and the way you react to her hands on you is making her not want to ever touch jason like that again…
yeah....yeah....y-yeah.
thinking of all three of you being in different social circles. eddies w the freaks, chrissys w the popular crowd, and you're the geek.
somehow all of you end up in eddies trailer, relaxed as you smoke his weed, you and chrissy on either side of him. you start giggling and touching hands across his lap, and chrissy gets loose lipped, starts talking abt how boring sex with jason is, how she's always been a bit curious about women, how soft they are, how sweet they smile.
you, who are out and happily bi, are just nodding, agreeing, sighing. its eddie who suggests it, more as a joke really, pointing his joint between the two of you, "you two, wanna kiss or somethin'?"
and chrissy pauses. plays with your fingers for a little in silence before she's looking at you with her blue grey eyes, licking her lips, "can i? kiss you?"
you don't know how, but you end up on eddies floor, chrissys soft hands exploring your skin. eyes wide with wonder as you sit and let her touch and stroke and play. it makes you wet, even as you feel eddies eyes on the both of you, you've always had a thing for them both.
eddie licks his lips, sitting on the edge of his bed with his knee shaking. he'd offered to leave at first, even though it was literally his trailer, but you'd looked so wounded and chrissy had pleaded with him to "stay, please. tell me what to do? wanna make her feel good." and well, who was he to say no.
the weed relaxes him because there's no way he'd be able to deal with both the hottest girls in hawkins on his bedroom floor feeling eachother up sober. he'd cream his pants in seconds. as it is, he can't tear his eyes away, can't stop swallowing.
his voice is shaky even when he's giving directions, guiding chrissy on what to do. "touch her nipples, like that, y-yeah. see how she likes it. she does, that's what- that's what that closed eyed look means. you're doing good. don't even need me here."
its you who flutters your eyes open this time, chrissys hands on your tits making you want to slide into bliss. "want you to stay, eddie. please?" n your pout, those glossy lips paired with seeing chrissy touch you? hes palming the tent in his jeans and huffing, "fuck. yeah, okay. whatever you want."
he guides chrissy into taking your panties off next. both of their wide eyes glued between your legs. chrissy peeks up at you, her face red but her eyes eager and determined. "let me see? please?" and eddie is nodding along like he's just as desperate to see too, and you're spreading your thighs before you can think more of it.
"she's wet for you, chrissy."
"s'for you too." you murmur shyly. "both of you- i want. you guys, i mean..."
chrissys hand on your knee is as comforting as her summer sweet smile, "me too."
"me three." eddie chimes in. "obviously."
its an intimate affair. lots of shy touches, chrissy is gaining confidence as she goes, urged on by your bodies reactions and eddies words of encouragement. she finds out the way you like it best, when you're stroked softly, how you like your clit petted, and how friction works best for you.
when you cum around her fingers, you can't stop shaking. you wanna make her feel good too, and she giggles and presses ur hand between her thighs where she's already wet under her skirt. tells you how cute you are and how watching you made her wet while you gently work her over. sighs happily and kisses you deep and thoroughly when she cums, pressing her cheek against yours.
you hold eachother for awhile before you both hear eddies shuddering breath. both your heads peek up at his flushed appearance, his jeans flicked open, his belt hanging off him clumsily. he's got a hand under his boxers, lazily jacking himself as he bites his lip, pretty lashes fluttering. "sorry." he mutters. "that was just. the hottest thing I've ever seen, i think."
you and chrissy share a look and smile, crawling towards him on your knees. eddie looks at you both approach like you're both hungry cats and he's a mouse. a horny mouse.
chrissy sits at one knee while you sit at his other. his eyes dart between the two of you, his hand pausing its up and down movement over his cock.
your cunt pulses again. hungry.
chrissy looks at you, smiling at how you can't stop gawking at where his happy trail fades into his boxers hem, where even darker tuffs of hair are peeking out.
"hey." she says to you, "have you ever given a blowjob?"
you feel yourself flush as you shake your head. one of eddies ring clad hands comes to stroke comfortingly over your hair. you lean into it. chrissy licks her lips, that eager look coming back into her eyes.
"would you like me to teach you?"
"please" you and eddie both chorus at the same time.
chrissy just smiles, looking pleased to be the one giving tips this time around. "its just like a popsicle, really! you're gonna be a natural, promise. I'll hold your hair back, kay?"

Tumblr media
“So how’s shit with Charlotte going?” Calliet asked, the loud crack of the pool table filling the air as Michael took his first shot.
“You mean, Els, get that shit right nigga,” Stello interjected, snickering lightly as Michael rolled his eyes at him. If there was one thing his friends were always going to do, it was make fun of his romantic side.
Michael let out a low chuckle, choosing to let his best friend’s comment pass him by without a retort. “We’re good. She’s… she’s good.”
“You sure? Cause you don’t seem sure.” His friends immediately picked up on the pause in his words.
“Nah, she is good. Great actually. I’m gonna sound crazy sayin’ this but she’s the one.”
“Nigga, it’s been three months. Relax, my guy.”
Michael shrugged. “When you know, you know. And I know that shit. It’s just…” Michael scratched his head. He had not told his friends about Charlotte’s past yet. He questioned whether it was his place to do so, to share details of her life she did not offer up herself. It seemed that only her family and closest friends knew the truth and he did not want to spread it around. However, he could not deny that he could use a sounding board as he navigated such murky waters. And he was not a man who was afraid to talk with his boys about his problems and be vulnerable. He decided he would just keep it vague, the details were Charlotte’s story to tell. “Things really are good. It’s just this shit from her past that comes up occasionally. Her ex was abusive.”
“Oh shit. For real?”
“Fuck.”
“He hit her?”
Michael shook his head. “Yea. The couple things she told me were fuckin’ insane. And I don’t think I’ve heard the worst of it. If I ever see that nigga…” He let out a deep exhale as he clenched his fists. Michael was far from a violent person, he could not even tell you the last time he even had a desire to get into a fight with anyone. Everyone in his orbit, including himself, would describe him as the calming force in a room, he always had the ability to keep his emotions in check. However, if he thought too long or too hard about Shaun Parker, all he could feel was rage. And the only action he could think of was ripping him limb from limb.
“Damn, that’s tough. How is she doin’?”
“Most of the time, she’s great. She’s herself. You know she’s shy and reserved in front of other people but once she’s comfortable, she’s so energetic and fun to be around. She’s charming but still has that cute awkward shit goin’ on that keeps her real and honest, fuckin’ hilarious. But the rest… I’ll say or do somethin’ that triggers her and she seems terrified of me but doesn’t know it.”
“What do you mean?”
“Like it’s not a conscious thing but I can feel it wafting off of her sometimes. The first time, she broke a wine glass at my place by accident, got red wine on the rug. She’s clumsy as fuck. But I don’t care. It’s actually kinda cute. And shit happens. It’s just a fuckin’ rug. By the time she came over again, I had a new one already. She looked like she had seen a ghost, pale and freaked out. She apologized a hundred times. Her hands were shakin’ so hard, she couldn’t even pick up the glass. A couple weeks ago, she forgot we made dinner plans, same thing. And it wasn’t a big deal at all. I actually preferred it cause I was tired as hell. We ordered in and just talked. But I could feel her whole body tense like she was waiting for me to lash out at her. We were out last week, she was chatting with the waiter while I took a call. She was like an entirely different person when I got back to the table. And I wasn’t thinkin’ twice about who the fuck she talked to. But in her mind, she committed a crime or some shit.”
“That shit’s heavy,” Calliet offered as he rounded the pool table for his shot. “Seems like small shit to us but to her, it means a whole other thing. How you dealing’ with it? I know that shit bothers you.”
Michael scoffed, taking a long sip of his drink. “Of course it fuckin’ bothers me. To have the woman I love seem terrified of me, terrified I would even consider hurting her like that? Shit is frustrating. But I dunno. I did all this research on how to be supportive and been slowly tryin’ to add that in. But I dunno. Just worried it isn’t enough.”
“Want my two cents?” Steelo offered. Michael was usually weary of taking relationship advice from his best friend. Steelo’s longest committed relationship amounted to months. But he also never pretended he wanted anything else, he was more than happy living the single bachelor life. Michael decided to just hear him out. If it was bad, which it was likely to be, he would just ignore it.
“Hit me.”
“I know I was anti-Charlotte after everything went down in Philly but this the happiest I’ve ever seen you. I think you gotta just keep showing up and maybe, actually talk to her? Research is great, google is your best friend. And you can do all that. But you also gotta know what she needs and the only person who can tell you that is her. Ask her, give her time to figure out what she needs from you, and then do those things in addition to the other shit. And I know it sounds crazy but maybe she also just has to hear you say that shit. You know… assurances and all that… women love that shit.”
Michael glanced at Calliet who merely shrugged. “Hey, I agree with him. Broken clock is right twice a day.”
The men laughed a bit at Michael’s friend’s expense before the only married man in the group added, “Nah but forreal. The kid is right. Talk to her. Ask her how you can make her more comfortable and go from there.”
“That might be the first solid dating advice you’ve given me.”
“Check back in another decade, I might have more.”

“Dinner was delicious, babe. You know when you said you could cook, I definitely thought you were lying.”
Michael chuckled. “My momma taught me a thing or two. Said she wasn’t raisin’ niggas who couldn’t throw down in the kitchen.”
She nodded. “Well, shout out to your mom. The women of the world, particularly this one,” she pointed at herself. “Thank her.”
He brought her a plate with a piece of chocolate cake on it, his favorite. He smiled as she did a little happy dance in her seat. His girl most certainly had a sweet tooth.
“Don’t tell me you made this too? Cause then I might have to marry you,” she joked.
“Don’t threaten me with a good time, baby,” he winked at her and smirked, causing her to roll her eyes. “But nah, my sister would kill me if I took credit for that. She’s the baker. I’m hopeless with desserts. It’s my favorite thing of hers. ”
“Then we are a perfect pair. You can cook and I’ll make dessert.”
“Sounds like a plan,” he kissed the top of her head before settling back in his seat.
He watched her eat for a few minutes, enjoying her facial expressions and small but distinct sounds of delight with every bite. She was clearly in heaven. But tonight had not just been about showing his girl a fun time and cooking for her, it was also about broaching a difficult conversation and putting his friends’ advice into action.
“Hey, Els.”
“What’s up?”
He held out his hand for hers, his thumb going to rub the inside of her wrist. He started doing it more often after their dinner date fiasco, realizing that she seemed to respond well to it. It was a small and gentle touch, but every time he did, her body visibly relaxed and seemed more at ease instinctually.
“What do you need from me to feel more comfortable and safe?”
Charlotte raised an eyebrow in confusion, her spoon gently clattering against the slide of her plate as she sat it down. “What prompted that question, Mr. Jordan?”
“Well, I just know this is your first relationship since everything. There are triggers and shit that are gonna come up. And that’s ok, I know it all takes time. I just… I want to assure you that I ain’t him. And I would never hurt you. And whatever you need me to do to help you believe that and feel you know, more at ease, I’ll do it.”
Charlotte’s heart melted for a moment before her own guilt set in. She tried not to think much about her triggers. They happened far too often. And each time, she would curse herself for it, profusely remind herself that Michael was not her ex, and swear to herself that it wouldn’t happen again. However, it always did and it felt like by the time she saw it coming, it was too late to stop it. However, what she never wanted to do was make him believe she thought he was like Shaun. She knew that was not the case in her heart, mind, and soul. However, she knew, as the famous book and her therapist constantly reminded her, the body kept a different score, kept a laundry list of every beating, every humiliating and degrading moment. She may have pushed the memories out of her mind but every single one was still etched in her bones. And she could not force that out of herself, it would only take time.
She clenched her eyes shut for a moment before sighing. “I’m sorry, Bakari. I-I never want you to feel like I think you’d hurt me or something. I know… I know that isn’t you.”
He shook his head. “Hey. Don’t apologize. I didn’t bring it up to blame you. Your past is part of you and I know it ain’t shit you can just turn on and off when it’s convenient. That’s why I want to know how I can help?”
Charlotte stood up, abandoning her cake to join him across the table, sitting on his lap. Her hand settled against his cheek, her fingers playing with his coarse facial hair.
“There is nothing you need to change, Michael. A-and I’m not just saying that. You’re everything I could hope for. And you treat me better than I could’ve dreamed for myself. I guess…” She paused. “I didn’t realize how hard it would be trying to be in a relationship again. I’m not afraid of you. But when you live in constant fear for so long, it sort of becomes part of you. It guided every decision, every choice, every action… every second of every day. And I think, sometimes, even though I know in my soul you aren’t him, that fear is still there in my bones. And when it hits, I don’t even realize it until it feels like I’m drowning in it. A-and I’m sorry for that because I know it’s not fair to you. I’m trying really, I promise.” She clenched her eyes shut for a moment, afraid of where this conversation might actually be headed. “B-But if it’s too much for you, I u-understand. I c-can’t expect you to stick around forever while I figure o-out my -”
“Love, stop. Breathe. That’s not what this is at all. I’m here until you get sick of me, baby girl.” He peppered her face with pecks causing her to laugh. “And don’t apologize to me cause I don’t need it or want it. I just want you to be ok and happy with me, not worried when some other shoe is gonna drop. If there’s nothing, great. But if there is, I just want to know it. We don’t gotta discuss it tonight. I have a whole surprise waiting for you downstairs. Ain’t tryin’ ruin it. But just promise me, if you ever feel like you do need something from me to feel safer o-or I’m doing something that makes you feel unsafe, promise me you’ll tell me.”
She pressed her lips to his. She appreciated that he was not shying away from her reality, that he was jumping in to address the hard things. She would not have blamed him if he wanted to end things but he was still here, still loving her and wanting to work through the kinks of their relationship. If he was willing to have hard conversations, she had to be willing too. She could not just will all of this away, she had to actively work on it.
“I promise.”
“Aight, good. Now we got the hard stuff outta the way, wanna follow me to the basement?”
“Are you gonna tell me what the surprise is? I thought you cooking for me and the food not killing me was the surprise?”
“Ha. Ha. Ha. And nah, I’m beginning to think you really don’t know what surprise means.”
“I know what it means, I just like to be in the know.”
“Alright, close your eyes.”
“Bakari…” she whined.
“Just do it, Els. Damn, you never listen to a nigga,” he mumbled.
She winked at him before acquiescing to his wishes and closing her eyes.
One hand held onto hers while his free hand settled on her hip as he led her downstairs and around a corner to his movie room.
“Ok, open.”
She opened her eyes to find the room completely different from the last time she came down there. Giant cozy pillows and blankets draped like a tent covered the floor, a whole set up of popcorn and other snacks and two cocktail glasses waiting for them.
“I know you’re kind of a homebody so a more creative spin on dinner and a movie?” He offered with a shrug.
“You did all this??”
“Yea, I remember you mentioned once on set that you and your siblings used to have movie nights and make forts in your basement.”
She giggled as he led her to the perfectly constructed tent in his basement. He essentially turned his downstairs into a campground, with soft lightening and cushy blankets and pillows littering the floor around his flat screen tv.
“This is far better than any fort we made.”
It clearly had taken him and perhaps a team of people time to set it all up. It was beautiful. She leaned over and picked up a pack of gummy bears, her favorite. “You didn’t have to do all this for me,” she whispered. “It’s too much.”
Michael shook his head. “Nothing is ever too much for you. Besides, press tour is in what, two weeks? We’re gonna be busy so we gotta enjoy the time together while we can.”
Michael went to the bar to pull out a pitcher of mojitos before he got situated in their fort next to her.
“Not gonna lie. I’m kinda looking forward to it. It’ll be my first real press tour.”
“I’m about to be all your work firsts, then?”
Charlotte nodded as she took a sip of the cocktail Michael made for her.
“Yea and some personal ones, I’m sure,” she muttered under her breath, thinking back to the conversation with her friends.
“What’s that mean?”
She let out a nervous laugh and shook her head. “Nothing, nothing at all.” She turned the gummy bears toward him, allowing him to take a handful before she snuggled into his side.
The pair snuggled and joked as they watched Bad Boys, a movie that made it onto both of their top five movies lists. Their banter carried them through most of the film, the pair analyzing and offering their two cents as if they were experts on thwarting criminals. The pair made their way through an obscene amount of snacks and a pitcher of mojitos as they watched the first movie and its sequel.
“Those drinks were so good,” she muttered as she examined the now-empty pitcher, a small pout on her features. “If this whole acting thing doesn’t work out, you could be a bartender for sure.”
Michael laughed and rubbed her thigh. “You wanna just crash here? You shouldn’t drive home after all that. And it’s already late as hell,” he remarked, glancing at his watch to find it was almost 1 am.
She shrugged and winked at him. “Jokes on you… that was alllllll part of the plan. Your bed is more comfortable than mine.”
“Damn, you just usin’ a nigga for a comfortable bed??”
“Not just the bed… Comfortable bed, free meals, cuddly oversized sweatshirts,” she listed on her fingers with a sly smile.
“You know I’m good for other things too,” he whispered with a smirk on his face, his fingers drawing featherlike patterns on her exposed thigh that sent chills down her spine. She knew exactly what he was suggesting and she did not know if it was the liquor or just the overall effect he had on her body, but she wanted to know what those things were. She wanted more. More of him, more of his touch, more of his love. And she did not want to wait a single moment longer.
And she did not want the night to end, their last true moment of solitude before life picked up again. They would be traveling and exhausted for a month. Though she was excited to spend her first press run with him, she knew it would not be true alone time. It would be work and since they were not a public couple yet, they would have to exercise some discretion.
She threw caution to the wind and straddled his hips, ignoring his surprised look as she took charge of the moment. She kissed him before nibbling on his ear and whispering, “Why don’t you show me?”
Usually, those words would have had Michael ripping a woman’s clothes off within milliseconds. However, despite the lust coursing through him, he forced himself to pause and confirm her wishes. Once he knew Charlotte wanted to take it slow, he always made sure to pump the brakes before things got too hot and heavy between them. No matter how hard it was - and it was excruciatingly hard - it was one of his many attempts to show Charlotte that he understood and respected her boundaries and subtly remind her she had agency in their relationship. He never wanted her to feel pressured to do something she did not want to do because she was conditioned never to say no. He wanted her to know she was steering the ship and he was fine with whatever speed she chose.
Admittedly, this was the longest he ever waited for a woman to sleep with him. They were well into month three and had not progressed past heated make out sessions. However, Michael, honestly, did not mind. He longed to bury himself inside her, to taste her, to show her pleasure she had never known before. But he knew it would be more enjoyable for both of them if she was truly ready for it.
Michael’s eyes grew wide with surprise as her statement settled in his brain matter. He leaned back over her, his soft hand cupped her cheek and held her eyes to his.
“You sure? We don’t gotta do anything you aren’t ready for, Els. And we been drinkin’ and shit. I’ll wait as long as you want, love.”
Charlotte offered him a soft smile. “I know. And it’s very sweet and it makes me love you even more if that’s even fucking possible,” she let out a nervous laugh. “I trust you a-and I want you. That’s all I need. So I am very ready for you to break my back like you promised.”
Michael chuckled and kissed her on the neck softly.
“You sure?”
Charlotte knew she would not find the words to describe how desperately she needed him. It was no longer a want that could be diminished by her anxieties and fears, it was a need. A need that felt as fundamental to her survival as oxygen to her lungs and sustenance to her body. His willingness to take it slow and respect her boundaries, the ways he went out of his way to make her feel safe and desired daily only increased her lust. So she decided to show him through action.
“Yes…” she reached for the hem of her dress and pulled it over her shoulders, thankful she decided to wear a matching bra and panty set. She had no intention, originally, of their date night taking this specific turn but she was grateful nonetheless. She felt empowered and assured in her decision as she watched his reaction, pure lust and desire taking over his features.
He licked his lips before he captured hers again. She moaned as his hands enjoyed free reign of her body, softly kneading and gripping her ass and thighs. She could feel the desire pooling between her legs, the movie playing on the tv long forgotten. She did not stop him as he flipped her onto her back, his chest pressed against hers as he sucked on the soft skin of her neck.
Michael took his time as he kissed her, paying close attention to every moan and groan, his ears perking up when he hit a sweet spot. He wanted to know every intricacy of what she liked and just how she liked it. His path of kisses and gentle nips down her body was deliberate and slow, he savored  how her whimpers became needier as he went. But he did not speed up. He was determined, desired to see her come undone piece by piece, and that was a process he could not rush.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered as his lips lingered against one of her scars, knowing they made her insecure about her appearance.
By the time he reached her lower stomach, her whimpers had turned to pants of need. Charlotte had never experienced foreplay like this before. She did not understand how he was already so attentive, the way he seemed to immediately respond to her body, picking up on cues Charlotte would not have been able to articulate herself. If her body was an instrument, Michael seemed to already be a savant, hitting the right notes with every caress and touch.  It was a slow march and Charlotte was feigning for the main event, feigning for him to fill her.
Michael finally detached his lips from her body and made quick work of removing her thong.
“All this for me?” He whispered as he licked his lips as he admired the wetness between her thighs.
He spread her legs and licked his lips before kissing her inner thighs. Charlotte almost saw God when he added in a gentle bite, sending sparks of pleasure through her. With every passing second, his lips got closer and closer to the treasure between her thighs, a coveted meal Michael had been waiting months to taste.
However, realizing his intention, Charlotte immediately felt the first wave of anxiety and insecurity hit her, pulling her out of the moment and mind-numbing fog of pleasure.
“W-what are you doing?” She breathed out, stopping his path toward her core.
“About to get a taste,” he muttered as he continued kissing her inner thighs.
Charlotte squirmed for a moment before quietly offering. “Y-You don’t have to do that… if you don’t want to.”
He raised an eyebrow in confusion. There was literally nothing he wanted more in this world at this moment. “I definitely want to. What’s wrong?”
“N-Nothing’s wrong. I’ve just never…” She scratched her forehead and kept her eyes trained on the ceiling. It was embarrassing and she did not really want to say it out loud. Similar to her lack of an orgasm, she had also never revealed to anyone that her sexual experience was severely lacking in terms of receiving pleasure. Giving? She was good at it and enjoyed it occasionally. But she had always been the giver and now could not even fathom what receiving felt like. She knew, based on conversations with her girlfriends, that she was missing something spectacular and life changing. But the mental block was there and she found it hard to want it. “Never mind, it’s embarrassing.”
Michael chuckled. “Aint shit to be embarrassed about with me, baby.” He kissed her softly on the lips.
“No one’s ever given me…”
Her words died in her throat but Michael did not need her to finish the sentence. He knew exactly what she was trying to say and shocked was an understatement. He had jerked himself off more times than he would ever admit dreaming of her paradise, what she tasted like, and what sounds she would make when he finally found himself in that promised land. And to think that no one had ever taken the time or care to give her that pleasure angered him more than it should have. He supposed he should be happy he was the first one to give her that experience but he hated that her sex life prior to him had been so lacking.
“You trust me?”
She nodded immediately. “Of course.”
“Ok, then just lay back and relax for me, aight? If you don’t like it, I’ll stop. But I don’t think you’re gonna want me to stop.” He offered her a knowing wink.
Michael was not a man who begrudgingly engaged in foreplay simply because it was required. The build up was his favorite part of the experience, knowing he was giving his partner exactly what they needed and wanted, worshiping her body like the queen she was. He would bask in every moment of proving to her that he wanted to do this task more than anything else.
“Always so cocky,” she muttered with a smile.
“And you love that shit,” he shot back as they traded playful jabs. “Now relax… and let me take care of you.”
Michael’s hands pushed open Charlotte’s legs, her pussy glistening with need.
Not wanting to waste another second, he leaned in and enveloped her clit into his mouth, sucking gently.
Charlotte let out a deep moan, a moan so visceral and carnal, she did not even know she could produce such a sound. But she didn't even know her body could feel pleasure like this and he was only just getting started.
It seemed Michael was right about one thing, she most certainly did not want him to stop.
Michael poured his whole soul into his ministrations, pulling out every trick he knew to send Charlotte over the edge. He licked and sucked, spelling out all his love and adoration with every caress of his tongue. He savored every moan and groan, every plea for him to go faster.
“Fuck… B-Bakari… p-please don’t stop.”
Unnecessary directions, in his opinion, he could do this all night.
Charlotte’s eyes clenched shut as she grabbed one of the plush pillows on the floor and moaned into it, suddenly remembering that Michael’s parents lived with him.
“Put the pillow down,” he emerged from her legs to demand. “Room’s soundproof, I promise. I wanna hear you.”
She immediately tossed it to the side as she rode the waves of pure passion and ecstasy his mouth provided. She was not sure where to concentrate as every pleasure sensor in her body felt like it was on fire. She was overwhelmed and yet, she wanted more. She wanted to drown in it, drown in this feeling that seemed to never end. Every time, she felt as if she must be reaching its peak, he pushed her higher and higher.
His eyes never left her face as he devoured what would now be classified as his favorite meal. The moment she came, he wanted to see it. Every sound she made only spurred him on as he inched her closer and closer to her mountain top.
Charlotte felt her world go dark, everything in her snapped as waves of pleasure crashed over her. She felt as if she was in fog, Michael’s voice distant and quiet as she experienced her first orgasm. She felt as if he had just altered the course of her life at that moment. She wondered if this was what rebirth felt like and how she had ever lived without this unfiltered… bliss. She let out a stream of curse words as she rode out her orgasm, Michael offering her praise that she could barely register.
“That’s it, Els. Cum for me.”
He emerged from between her legs and kissed her, allowing her to taste herself.
“You taste so good, baby. So sweet,” he offered as he gave her a few moments to settle down. .
“T-that was…” She struggled to find the words as her already slightly hoarse voice filled the space.
“You liked that, baby?” He asked, his deep voice sending jolts of pleasure down her body. His finger entered her, immediately curling into her g-spot causing her to gasp.
This man… was going to be the death of her, she decided.
“Y-Yes,” she whispered.
“You want more, Els?”
She nodded fervently. Michael pushed himself off the floor and quickly stripped down, his manhood standing at attention for the woman he loved.
Her breath hitched slightly as she took in his length and girth. He settled himself between her legs before starting to push inside her.
She let out a groan of pain that made him pause, his eyes immediately filling with concern. He started to pull out when she wrapped her legs around his hips to stop him.
“N-No, don’t. I-it’s just been a couple years. That’s all. I’m good, promise.”
His forehead fell against hers as he slowly pushed inside her. His eyes did not leave hers, pausing his movements every time he saw an iota of discomfort or pain on her face. He whispered sweet nothings in her ear, professed his love and adoration for her, told her how good she felt around him as he waited for her to adjust.
And once she gave him the ok, he started his slow and steady strokes into her.
“You feel so fucking good, baby” he muttered as the soft slapping sounds of their hips meeting filled his basement.
His dick curved right into her g-spot, forcing words of adoration and love from the depths of her soul at the end of every stroke. Her soft pants morphed into moans and screams of pleasure as she felt jolts of pleasure throughout her body.
“F-fuck, I l-love you,” she panted out. “Harder,” she demanded, Michel more than happy to oblige.
He increased his pace, relentlessly fucking her. She was thankful this portion of the house was soundproof, his basement soaking up the loud symphony of their collective moans. .
She could feel all of the love and adoration he held for her in every stroke, every affirmation he whispered into her ear as he sent her soul to another plane. All she could do was pant and cry out in pleasure as he promised to love her until his last day.
Michael’s physical fitness and stamina meant that they were just getting started. Michael and Charlotte moved around his basement, fucking on any and all surfaces that they saw fit. He transitioned between positions like an experienced dancer and pulled countless orgasms from the depth of her soul.
“Fuck. Just like that baby. Ride this dick,” he moaned. He let out a low growl as she rode him, he was in heaven as he buried his face in her chest, his mouth enveloping her nipple. He was surprised at how much she responded to it, her head falling back in pleasure, her mouth agape. She cried out in pleasure as he gently bit down on the swell of her breasts. He switched between the two, making sure to give each equal attention.
“You look so sexy riding my dick,” he praised her, causing her to increase her pace.
She ignored the burn in her thighs as she continued, her thoughts only focused on giving him the same pleasure he gave her. She loved this position. It made her feel emboldened and in charge. And so she decided to enjoy that feeling and switch it up, giving him another view to enjoy. She slid off of him, both of them groaning lightly at the feeling of emptiness while she repositioned herself in reverse cow girl and slid back onto his dick.
Michael smirked at the satisfied moan that escaped her lips as he filled her again. He grabbed her hips, thrusting into her rapidly as he enjoyed the view of her ass bouncing against his hips. He had let her control the pace before but now? It was his turn again. She yelped lightly as his hand spanked her. It was unexpected but not too rough, clearly to test the waters. She moaned, letting him know that she enjoyed it, the edge of roughness and small jolts of pain mixed in with his gentle touches.
“You like that, baby?” He asked as he spanked her again, his strong arms lifting her body up and down as if she weighed nothing.
“Y-Yes! I love it,” She panted out, breathless and exhausted as he fucked her. “I’m g-gonna cum!”
Her hands pressed against his stomach to hold herself up as she rode the length of her orgasm, her body barely staying up right. When she calmed down, he lifted her off of him and instructed her to get on all fours.
He positioned himself behind her and massaged her ass for a moment, admiring the perfect view.
“Arch your back for me, baby. That’s it, good girl.”
Charlotte could’ve cum right then, hearing him praise her.
Good girl, she wanted to hear that every day for the rest of her life.
She groaned as he entered her again, this position allowing him to get even deeper than before. Charlotte’s screams grew to new heights as he fucked her senseless from behind, taking her directive to break her back extremely serious. She was thankful that the strength of his thrusts naturally buried her face in the pillows of their now destroyed fort; she did not think even a soundproof room could contain her at this point.
In this moment, she realized exactly what Jazz meant: this was life-changing and fun. For the first time, she was not waiting for it to all be over, she was enjoying it, actively meeting his thrusts to increase her pleasure. And when his fingers dug into her hips to hammer into her at his own pace, like a man possessed, she was more than willing to surrender her entire being to him and let him give her exactly what he believed she needed. Because he actually knew, every action was meticulous and measured, attuned to needs she did not even know she had. But he did and she loved him for it. So she surrendered, surrendered to bliss, knew she would forever happily hand over the reins of her pleasure to him because she desperately wanted what he had to give.
“Why you running, baby?” He asked as he fucked her, her body instinctively shying away from the intense pleasure of another orgasm building too fast.
“I-I… I-it’s too much…” she breathed out, unable to form coherent sentences.
“You want me to stop?” He asked as he continued fucking relentlessly.
“N-no,” she whimpered, and it was true. Her body felt as if it may die if he stopped but also that another orgasm might kill her. In a split second decision, dying from pleasure seemed like the better way to go.
“Good girl. You’re taking me so well, love. Cum for me one more time, baby.”
As he felt her pussy snapping around his dick and her screams grew louder, he knew she was close. He reached around and rubbed her clit to give her the extra push she needed.
Charlotte let out a breathless scream, her vision going black as the most powerful orgasm of her life ran through her. She didn't even get to feel him cum inside her as he finally reached his own peak.
When she finally opened her eyes again, Michael was sitting watching her intently.
“Welcome back, almost had me worried for a minute. You ok?”
All she could do was nod, not understanding how he looked completely unruffled while she felt as if she had done a triathlon.
He held out his hand to help her up and slide his robe around her. She was surprised to find him already in a pair of boxers and a t-shirt.
“H-How long was I out?”
He laughed, kissing the top of her head. “Just a couple minutes. Come on, I’ll start a bath upstairs.”
She groaned as she tried to move her legs. “M-My legs don’t work, babe. N-Not gonna make it upstairs.”
He laughed and swooped her up into his arms. “Good thing you have me then.”
Charlotte snuggled into his chest as he carried her to his suite. He made quick work of filling the tub with hot water and helping her into the tub, the smell of eucalyptus, her favorite, filling her nose.
“This is sweet,” she said, her voice raspy from their activities. “T-thank you.” She settled into the bathtub, her head lulling back as her eyes fell closed. The warm water felt like heaven on her aching muscles.
“You feel ok? Was afraid I was too rough at the end?”
She let her head fall lazily in his direction, a content smile on her face. “No, it was great. Though I think you might've thought I was a gymnast at one point, really pushed the limits of my flexibility. And I now feel like I need to go to yoga classes so I don’t need to soak my muscles every time we have sex,” she laughed. “But it was perfect. You’re perfect.”
They shared a sweet kiss before silence fell over them. Charlotte did not stay in the tub long, her desire to be in Michael’s arms again overwhelming. Once she was done, Michael gave her clothes to throw on and they climbed into bed.
Michael’s head rested on her chest, both of them muttering soft I love you’s before they drifted off to sleep.

“Charlie!”
Charlotte's eyes gravitated toward a familiar voice, finally landing on Chris who had commandeered a corner booth toward the back and was waving at her.
“How are you??” Her voice took on a sing-songy tone as she hugged him before sitting across from him. “It’s been way too fucking long.”
“I know, I know. It’s tough. I’m rarely out here and you’re never in NYC anymore.” His voice was filled with teasing accusations as he referenced her disappearing act. “But I’m glad you were able to fit me in.”
The pair spent over a half hour catching up, Chris sharing gossip from the NYC theater scene that Charlotte was no longer in touch with. She considered Chris MacDonald to be one of her closest friends. He had been her mentor when she was at a school, he was a recent graduate working on his musical and worked with students in his free time. He was easily the most talented songwriter she had ever heard, his first musical becoming a staple on Broadway within months. Every song he touched turned to gold and money. They transcended the usual mentor-mentee relationship quickly, becoming good friends. Chris always vowed to make her his leading lady in one of his shows one day.
“So what are the next few months looking like for you?”
“We’re starting press for Creed out here next week. Then the premieres here and press and a premiere in Philly. We have a couple of events and things once it hits theaters and then I should get a break right before Christmas. Thankfully, since it is the first one, the press schedule isn’t insane. But it's still a lot.”
“So I gotta know, do you miss the stage at all?”
“All the time,” Charlotte moaned, her shoulders collapsing a bit. Chris was the type of person who knew the answer to his question before he asked it. So she knew there was no use in lying. “All. The. Time.” She emphasized. “Movies are great, don’t get me wrong. Can’t say anything too bad about them, after all, my first major film led me to Michael. Who you have to meet by the way. But it’s just not the same. It doesn’t… make my soul happy the way theater did? Money’s better,” Chris immediately nodded in agreement. “But that’s about it. Just doesn’t really fulfill me the same way.”
“Would you want to go back?”
An antenna in Charlotte’s mind went up as she heard his tone, his voice taking on the tenor of someone who was dipping a toe in to test the waters.
“Ummm yea, I mean I’d love to go back. But… the practicalities of it. Just don’t think it is in the cards for me.” She shook her head gently and picked up her coffee. The mug hid the sad smile she had on her face, a realization that her choices meant her dreams weren’t a possibility anymore. “Besides, there isn’t a theater director who knows my name who’d give me another chance.” She simply shrugged. “It’s cool though. My life’s out here now, new relationship’s out here, friends, family. It’s better this way.”
Chris nodded. “What if you were looking at a writer and producer who wanted you to be in their next show?”
Charlotte laughed, “Very funny, Chris.” She had heard about his next project through the grapevine, which just completed an off-Broadway run in Massachusetts and was picked up to perform on Broadway in the new year. His musical, The Lighthouse, followed the closing shift of a dive bar during a winter’s storm. It was one of those shows where the entire play takes place in a singular room, following four characters, the owner of the bar and his wife, and the main character, Ashley, and her ex, who is a bartender. Charlotte had only read reviews of it but every review praised Chris for his poignant examination of relationships, human connection, and the innate desire to fight for the things and one you love, even when the fight seems foolish and you are outnumbered.
“I’m being dead serious, Charlie. I know you’re about to start promo for the film so you wouldn’t get that break you’re looking forward to. But it premieres on Broadway in March. We are casting new folks since the off broadway cast is transitioning to other roles. And for the lead, I started with your name but didn’t think you’d want to come back. And after scouring my brain for months and chatting with other writers like Lin and all roads lead back to you. You’re perfect for it. Your voice, your skills… you would knock it out of the park.”
Charlotte shook her head, “Oh Chris… thank you but I can’t. It’s just not for me anymore.”
“The stage was made for you, girl. Look, I wasn’t trying to come here and beg you but I will if I have to. I want you, Charlie. Not some random girl no one has ever heard of… You, the woman who made me cry the first time I heard her sing, the woman with perfect pitch, a woman who's been through shit and knows how to bring that pain and vulnerability and channel it into a performance. Look, I could get any recent graduate from Juilliard or Yale and throw them in this show and it would be good. But I don’t want ‘good’. I want excellent and you are excellence. Just give me a year. One year. Not even a year,” he corrected himself as she shook her head. “Six months. Six months and you’ll be nominated for a Tony in 2017, maybe even 2016 depending on when they cut off the season. ”
At the sound of the coveted award Charlotte had dreamed of her entire life, Charlotte perked up. “How do you know it’s Tony worthy?”
“Because I wouldn’t have flown across the country to grovel at the feet of one of the greatest actresses and singers I’ve ever seen for anything less than a Tony-winning role. Six months to a year, max. Give me six months of your life, Charlie and I swear - you’re Grammy and Tony nominated at worst… two steps closer to an EGOT at best. Come on, don’t tell me you forgot? This was on the vision board you showed me when you were a plucky, annoying freshman. This is it, this is the opportunity to make that vision board come true.”
Just as Charlotte opened her mouth to rebut him, he stopped her. “Look, I gotta jet to another meeting. But don’t say no just yet, please? I promised the team I would have my Ashley by the time I got back home on Monday. I’ll send you the tracks, the video of the workshop, talk it over… pray on it, and get back to me in a few days. Just promise me you’ll think about it, Charlie. Please?”
Charlotte nodded weakly. “Fine… I’ll think about it.”
She knew logically there was nothing to think about. The mere idea went beyond playing with fire, it was playing with a raging inferno to move back there. For all she knew, Shaun was a mere powder keg waiting for the right spark to explode and she would be handing it to him on a silver platter. However, her soul and her ambition, well those parts of her were thinking… and they were thinking hard.
She said her goodbyes to Chris and paid for her coffee. And before she could even make it outside to her car, she heard the ding of several emails, all from Chris with the music tracks. She slid into her car and hooked it up as she drove to Michael’s. Since they broke through the physical intimacy barrier, she essentially lived at his place. After spending almost every night there, he cleared out a drawer and gave her space in his closet. Now she rarely went to her own spot.
Since his house was a bit farther out, she made it through Act 1 of the show before she pulled into his driveway. However, she did not immediately turn it off to get out of the car. She was so enthralled that she just sat there in his driveway with her eyes closed, falling deeper in love with the music with every passing chord.
“That fucking bastard,” she muttered to herself as her head thudded back against the seat. “The great Chris MacDonald strikes again.”
It was always a running joke among the Broadway community that no one ever said no to Chris. If he wanted you, he would always find a way to convince you to work for him. Whether it was the strength of the piece itself or his persuasive abilities, no was not a word he heard.
And she hated that it was working on her. This was award worthy. It was more than that, it was a game changer. It would take more than a year to pick up steam but when it did, it would become a household name. She could feel it in her bones. And the main character, Ashley, was perfect for her. Her ballad, which closed out Act I, was giving Defying Gravity levels of emotion. It was climatic and she could just picture herself singing it on stage. And while the show was filled with drama and emotion, it struck the perfect balance of being funny and relatable. It was the type of show you left and talked about for hours with your friends, examining each character and their decisions with a fine tooth comb.
She sat in her car and typed out notes on her phone as she worked her way through Act II, noting things she picked up on and wanted to discuss further with Chris. She did not even realize how long she sat out there until she heard a knock on her car window.
“Shit!” She jumped almost clean out of her skin as she turned to find Michael staring at her with a quizzical look on his face. She took a deep breath before opening the door. “You scared me.”
“My bad. I saw you pull up 30 minutes ago. Wanted to make sure you were good. You on the phone or somethin’?”
“30 minutes?? Sorry, baby. I was just listening to these songs Chris sent me.”
She pulled herself and her bag out of the car and followed Michael into the house. The house smelled delicious, Michael immediately returning to the oven to check on his Bolognese sauce.
“How was coffee?”
“Um… intriguing, that’s for sure.” Charlotte threw her bag down on one of the bar stools and immediately grabbed the loaf of bread and other materials that were sitting out to help Michael finish dinner.
“Ok, elaborate.”
Charlotte sighed. “Well, it wasn’t a friendly catch up like I thought. He has a role for me… in his new show.”
“Ok… and?”
“It’s really fuckin’ good, Bakari. Like game changing good. Like household name good. He said he just wanted six months out of me, which is more than enough to be nominated this year or next.”
Michael nodded. “Ok… I’m hearing all the good things… sounds like good shit. But you’re hesitating. What’s stopping you?”
She turned to face him, leaning against the counter. “Well first, my life is here with you. Not in New York. We’ve only been dating for three months. I don’t want to lose what we have.” Michael glanced at her, waiting for her to say more. “A-and I left New York in such a weird way. I don’t even know how people feel about me now. A-and 8 shows a week??” She ranted, taking her frustration out on the helpless loaf of Italian bread in front of her. “Don’t even know if I can physically do that shit anymore. I’m not that good of a dancer… I mean when would we have time to see each other if I’m doing 8 shows a week? I could kiss my current career goodbye. I feel like I started down this road, don’t know if I should backtrack?”
Michael turned her away from the cutting board and took the knife out of her hands. His arms wrapped tightly around her waist, pulling her closer and closer to him.
“What’s really wrong, Els? Cause it ain’t any of the dumb shit you just mentioned.”
Charlotte immediately felt offended, her body attempting and failing to twist out of his firm but still gentle grip. “Excuse me?? Those are legit concerns, thank you very much.”
“No they aren’t. You’re never gonna lose me cause you’re pursuing a dream. New York is a plane ride away, I’ll come to you when I’m not filming. Long distance relationships work and thrive every day, Els.” He started to list off, dismissing her concerns one by one. “You left to save your life. Fuck anyone who doesn’t understand that or sympathize with that shit. Besides, who even gives a fuck what they think? You got Chris in your corner and more people than you think, that’s enough. You can dance just fine. And you run like 6 miles every single day so physically, you can do anything including sing and dance for 2 hrs 8 times a week. And it’s not backtracking. You started in the theater, took a break and are going back. People do that shit literally all the time. I think you’re scared. And if you want to say no for all those practical reasons to Chris, fine. But at least be honest with me. Why are you really hesitating?”
She picked at her nails, her teeth chewing on her bottom lip. She hated that she had to consider him, this dark cloud that hung over her head and still indirectly affected her decisions. She hated that he still had this much power
“I left New York for a reason, Bakari. A-and that reason is still walking and talking and… I don’t think I can ignore that just because Chris dangles a shiny Tony in front of my face.”
“Do you really think he’d try something?”
“I… I dunno. But I also don’t know if I want to test that theory. I gave it all up then because I couldn’t stay alive and keep it. I tried that and it didn’t work. All I got was a break in and three days in the ER. How’s this time gonna be any different? Seems dumb to walk right back into the lion’s den.”
“Are you walking back into the lion’s den or following your dreams? Was he a Broadway enthusiast or somethin?”
Charlotte let out a humorless laugh. “Hell no. He hated musicals… and joy… and laughter… and me,” she added under her breath with a humorless chuckle. “What does it matter?”
“It matters because who's to say he will even know you’re there? Even in the most popular shows, the everyday person doesn’t follow news about it. And this is a new show, not like that rap one everyone I know keeps going to see about the dead white people?”
“Hamilton?” Her judgment of his lack of theater knowledge showed in her laughter.. “‘That musical with the dead white people’” she chuckled. “It’s the hottest ticket of the year, babe.”
“See,” he emphasized, ignoring the tone of shade in her voice. “I’m an actor and still don’t know this shit.”
“Bakari… be serious, please.”
“I am!” He laughed. “Look, all I’m sayin’ is even the most popular shows, the non-broadway goer doesn’t know whose in them. You’re a rising star and the benefit of a rising star is that you can still keep a low profile when you want. For all that nigga knows, you’re still in LA. Talk to Chris about promo and maybe keeping a lower profile for the first couple months and all that and secure your dream, babe.”
“But I already proved I can’t have both, Bakari,” she repeated.
He shook his head. “No, you couldn’t have both then. It’s been a couple years, you’re different. And who knows, that nigga could’ve moved to another state or be in a new relationship or anything. A lot can change in two years, right?”
She scratched her head. The things Michael said made total sense but there was still this wall standing in her way.
“Els, baby. Look at me.” His finger lifted her chin to look him in the eye. “I think you should do it. It’s six months until you come back here. Ever since I’ve known you, being the lead of a show has been your dream. And you miss it. And now someone is handing you the opportunity on a silver platter. Why miss it a second time? And if it makes you feel safer, I’ll move with you.”
Charlotte shook her head. “Baby, I can’t ask you to move across the country for me. Your family, your friends… your life is here.”
He shrugged. “And in six months, my life will still be here. My future is wherever you are. And I told you a couple weeks ago that I’d do whatever you needed to make you feel safe.”
“Yes, with you. Not out in the world. I can’t ask you to upend your entire life for me. We haven’t been together that long.”
“Semantics. I told you I’d do whatever you needed. This counts in my book. Don’t think about the length of time we’ve been together or where it is or any of that shit. Would it help and make you feel more comfortable if I went with you? At least for a couple months?”
Charlotte studied him for a moment, realizing he was truly being sincere. She found it hard to ask for such a thing but she could not deny that it would help her. Even just knowing that she could come home to someone each night and be safe in their arms felt like it would change everything.
“Y-Yea, it would help a lot. But you really don’t have to, babe.”
“Ok then it’s settled. If you take it, I’ll go with you. I know we’re jumping ahead and skipping some steps but I’m in if you are.”
“You don’t want to think about it?”
He shrugged as he moved to put the garlic bread in the oven. “What’s there to think about? It’s like moving for a role. It doesn’t really change much. When would you have to be there?”
“Top of January, the show is supposed to premiere on March 1.”
He nodded. “Ok so if you decide to do it, we can move right after Christmas to make sure you’re there in time.”
Charlotte chuckled.  “Yea while you’re planning our move, I actually need to decide whether to do it.”
Michael leaned down and kissed her on the lips. “I’m removing obstacles so you can make the best decision for you. Not for me or because of that nigga. For you. If you want this, we’ll do whatever we gotta do to make sure you’re safe while you do it, ok?”
Her arms went around his shoulders, their bodies flush against each other. “How’d I get so lucky to find you?”
“I’m the lucky one, honeybee.”
Charlotte raised an eyebrow, “Honeybee? That’s a new one. Where’d that come from?”
“Cause you taste sweet, like honey.”
“‘I taste sweet, what do- ohhhhh,” the memory of him saying that during the first time he gave her head came back to her mind causing her to laugh a bit. “Thought I’d try it out. It has a cute ring to it. You don’t like it?”
“I like any nickname you give me, love. But… let’s make this the only one inspired by our sex life, ok?”
“Deal.”
The pair ate dinner before retreating to his bedroom. They did not talk about Chris’s offer again until they were settled in bed, Charlotte laying on Michael’s chest.
“I think… I think I want to do it. You’re right, it’s my dream and I might not get another shot like this again,” she offered in the quiet and darkness. She knew he was not asleep yet.
Michael did not even take a beat before he responded, “I guess we’re moving to New York then.”
Charlotte sat up, leaning on his chest. “You knew I was gonna take it the whole evening didn’t you?”
He shrugged, before shifting so she was laying back down. He placed a kiss on the top of her forehead and merely smiled. “Yea… when are you gonna learn? I’m always right, baby,” he joked. "You gonna call Chris?
She bit down the joke that bubbled to the surface and merely settled back into his arms with a smile.
“Yes you are, baby. And in the morning, it's after midnight."
"Yea and you said he flew all the way out here for you. That man is probably waiting by the phone for you. Call him, if he's asleep, you can try again in the morning. Besides, knowing you, you'll find some way to talk yourself out of it by morning." He reached over to her side and grabbed her phone. "Call him, babe."
"Touché." She slid out of his bed and paced, one hand fidgeting with the hem of his t-shirt she had on while her feet dragged across his soft plush carpet.
She waited for a few moments with bated breath until she heard his voice fill her ears.
"Hey, Chris! Sorry if this is too late to call? Hope I didn't wake you."
"Oh no, I was just up working and praying your name would cross my phone sometime before the night was over. Please tell me you called me this late with bad news."
Charlotte chuckled and glanced at Michael who gave her an encouraging smile and thumbs up.
"No, no. Just calling to tell you that you can tell the team you found your new Ashley."
She had to hold the phone away from her ear as his screams of delight threatened to bust her ear drums.
"God, I fucking love you, Charlotte Bennett. I could literally kiss you."
"I think my boyfriend would have something to say about that," she chuckled. "But yea I'm in."
"Amazing. I'll send over details to you and your team tomorrow and we can talk more then. Seriously, Charlie, you won't regret it. I promise."
"I know, thank you, Chris. Seriously. Ok, talk tomorrow. Bye."
She hung up the phone and turned to Michael, the realization hitting her.
"I'm gonna be leading a show on Broadway." She ran back to the bed and jumped on it, her previous exhaustion long forgotten as her excitement took over.
Michael enveloped her in a tight hug before they both settled back into bed.
"This is gonna be good, Els. I can feel it."
She placed a quick kiss on his bare chest. "I feel it too. Thank you. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this without you."
"I gotchu, Els. Always."

A/N: As always, thanks for reading! We finally got some smut (woohoo). Tbh smut is like really hard for me to write lol so I hope y'all liked it? I really wanted it to be intimate and showcase how close they've gotten in a short time. They could be sexy and honest and vulnerable and playful with each other and it not ruin the moment, it only enhances it for them. Next chapter, we'll get some fluff with their first public outing as a couple and press tour cuteness (think Tom/Zendaya and Corey/India from Queen Charlotte level cuteness). I'm gonna try to get a one-shot out this week too before I'm off on vacation. We'll see if I can actually get it done :)
Leave a comment on what you thought of the chapter and let me know if you want to be tagged!

Holi Dani! I’m back in town. Let’s get together tonight! I miss you!
Under April’s watchful eye, I typed my text to Dani Rojas and hit send. I knew full well that the Greyhounds had a game; Keeley Jones had sent me their schedule, after all. Step one of the most insane idea in the world was officially in motion.
“Remember, you can’t seem too desperate,” April reminded me as we lounged in my living room. “We don’t want it to be obvious that you’re fishing for an invite. Just be really subtle, like ‘Oh you have a match? Wow I’ve never been to one.’ You know?”
I nodded. “Yeah, I know, I know.”
Bzz!
Dani’s quick response would have been surprising if it was anyone else; but Dani Rojas was the friendliest, most accommodating person I knew. Since we first met at a party for some tequila brand back in L.A., Dani and I immediately clicked. Our paths crossed frequently enough in London, and I considered him one of my favorite people in England. We bonded over our shared desire to find good pan dulce in London and how much we missed our big, crazy families when we were away. It wouldn’t be too hard to finagle an invitation to his game, right?
Aww chula, I wish! I’ve got a fútbol match tonight.
Just as I was crafting a text that would score me a ticket to Nelson Road, another message came in.
You should come!
“Well, shit,” I laughed, showing April my screen. “That was almost too easy.”
My assistant- sidekick and soulmate, I preferred to call her- chuckled and started typing on her own phone. “I’ll let Keeley and Lanie know that our mission is complete. And I’ll take care of getting your ticket. All you have to worry about now is looking hot and having a good meet-cute.” She paused, pursing her lips. “You and Kent… you two can flirt with each other, right?”
“The heck’s that supposed to mean?” I snorted as I texted Dani back, letting him know that I would love to go to his game.
She shrugged. “You two just didn’t seem to like each other very much.” Her matter-of-fact tone held no emotion. “You’re going to have to pull some Daniel Day-Lewis level acting for this to work.” April grinned at me. “I mean, your goal is to get an EGOT, right? Maybe your Oscar will be for acting.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle as Dani texted me back, all excitement. “Well, just call me Meryl, because that’s how good my acting will have to be to get people to think I’m into someone like Roy Kent.”
April’s face softened. “You’ve gotta admit,” she said slowly, “he’s pretty cute.”
“Cute?” I rolled my eyes. “I mean, sure, I could see how he could be considered handsome by some people. I could totally see him with models and shit. But if you’re worried about me falling for the guy, don’t stress.” I slouched further into my couch. “No way in hell am I falling for Roy freaking Kent.”
~
Keeley grinned and showed her phone to Roy. “She got Dani to invite her!” she hissed to the manager as they ate lunch together in his office. “Everything’s going according to plan.”
“Yeah,” Roy muttered flatly as he poked at his food. “Great.”
What the fuck had he gotten himself into? He hated this kind of shit, the paparazzi and attention. And he hated her party-girl lifestyle, always out at clubs. And what the fuck were they supposed to talk about on the dates Keeley would surely make them go on? He liked football, hanging out with Phoebe, reading… What did she like? Flirting with scrawny rockstars? Stealing her best friend’s boyfriend (according to the tabloid he’d noticed at the store that morning)? Her Malibu Barbie Dreamhouse, or wherever it was she lived when she was in Los Angeles? And he was going to have to endure months of this. Fucking hell.
But it was for Keeley, he reminded himself as he watched the blonde munch happily on her salad. She’d asked him to do something, something she knew he’d hate, and he said ‘yes’ without complaint. That had to mean something, right? Surely that would earn him a few points with her, maybe even enough to forget about the whole ‘pick one’ shit he and Jamie had pulled. She’d definitely see how above and beyond Roy was willing to go for her and remember why she had loved him, wouldn’t she?
Besides, seeing him with an admittedly gorgeous popstar on his arm might even make Keeley a smidge jealous.
“It’s gonna work.” Keeley’s reassuring voice penetrated his thoughts. “I know it is. You wouldn’t believe who’s gotten away with this scheme. You know that actor from-”
I’m drunk in the back of the car and I cried like a baby coming home from the bar
Roy stood, frowning in the direction of the suddenly bolstering changing room. “What the fuck is that?”
Keeley grinned as she hopped up and followed his gaze to the sight of Jamie and Colin and a few other guys shaking their hips and singing along. “Your new girlfriend,” she whispered with a wink. “Come on, Roy, you know this one. It was only her big hit last summer.”
“Hmmph.” Yeah, he recognized the catchy tune that still seemed to always be on the radio all these months later; Phoebe’d made him play it about twenty times in the car just that week. But why the fuck was his team screeching it while they got ready for their afternoon training?
Jamie’s smile widened at the sight of Roy and Keeley. “Oi! Did ya hear Dani’s news?”
“What’s up?” Keeley asked, as if she didn’t know exactly what Jamie was about to say.
Sure enough, Jamie pointed in the direction of Colin’s little speaker, where the music was blasting from. “She’s comin’! To our game tonight!” He looked just about ready to do a cartwheel. “Apparently, she and Dani are buddies, and he invited her to watch us! Can you believe it?”
“You’re kidding!” Keeley gasped convincingly, smacking Jamie on the arm. “How the fuck did he never tell us they’re friends?” She glanced at Roy before turning back to Jamie. “D’you reckon he’ll get her to go out with you boys tonight? Or is she too famous for our little Greyhounds?”
Richard appeared over Jamie’s shoulder. “I hope so,” he sighed. “She recently broke up with her boyfriend.” He waggled his eyebrows. “She’ll be looking for a rebound, no?”
Roy rolled his eyes. Shit, was this going to be an even bigger distraction than he thought, he realized. For the millionth time since he stood in Keeley’s office and signed the NDA, Roy was regretting this decision. But when he saw the excitement shining in Keeley’s eyes as she watched the Greyhounds dance around, he couldn’t help the soft sigh he let out.
Fuck, he hoped it was worth it.
~
I took one last look in the mirror. Little jean skirt, black leather jacket, boots. April had assured me that the outfit was perfect: casual enough for a game, stylish enough for a night out with the team, hot enough to catch the attention of Roy Kent. Or at least, look like I’d caught the attention of Roy Kent.
The car ride to Nelson Road was quicker than I’d expected, and the walk to my seat was a blur of phones taking photos and my name gasped out of people’s mouths. I wondered if, with all the time I’d be spending at Nelson Road in the coming weeks, the reaction would die down. Or if, like Keeley Jones had implied towards the end of our first meeting, my presence would lead to a spike in attendance.
She seemed to be hoping for the latter, because she made sure my seat was very visible: right by the pitch, close to the Greyhounds’ dugout. Even if I wasn’t the biggest soccer fan, I had to admit it was exciting being so close to the field; I quickly snapped a few pictures to send to my family, who would appreciate the view much more than I ever could.
When the team came out, I joined in the enthusiastic cheers and screams, shouting Dani’s name loudly. His face lit up when he spotted me, and I saw him nudging his teammates and pointing in my direction. Keeley had warned me about their reactions; indeed, they were grabbing each other and making faces similar to the ones my nephew made when he saw Mickey Mouse on his first trip to Disneyland.
“Whistle!”
The two syllables slammed against my ears. There he was, no longer in the black leather jacket I’d met him in, but instead wearing a dark blue Greyhounds jacket. One of the players- Jamie Tartt, I remembered- started animatedly talking to a very bored-looking Roy Kent. With one of those eyerolls that I knew I’d have to get used to seeing, he turned in my direction.
Despite my initial instinct to roll my own eyes, I instead forced myself to hold his gaze for a moment. A horrified thought suddenly struck me: Could Roy Kent pull this off?
Then his mouth tugged upwards in the corner, forming an admittedly sexy little smirk. In return, I let my eyes wander down his figure, taking in the way his jacket hugged his muscular arms and the way his pants hugged thick thighs. Damn. If I hadn’t already met him, if I hadn’t already discovered what a cranky and irritable grouch Roy Kent was, I’d probably be attracted to his smug expression and athletic build. He wasn’t my usual type, but I couldn’t deny that he was, frankly, kind of gorgeous.
He gave me a curt nod of acknowledgement before turning back to his team and shouting at them, his sharp yell reminding me that I was here for a reason. Remembering Keeley’s instructions, I pulled out my phone and snapped a couple of photos of the pitch, making sure to get Roy and the other Greyhounds in the frame. I quickly posted the picture to my social media and tagged Dani in it, as Keeley had suggested.
With the “official business” out of the way, I relaxed in my seat and prepared to at least appear to look like I was enjoying the game. Figuring that there were eyes and cameras pointed in my direction, I made myself steal several glances at Roy Kent; he must have been thinking the same thing, because more than once, he was already looking over at me.
~
Roy sighed when he looked over at the corner where most of the Richmond players were assembled, practically falling over themselves to get in a word with her.
It was a bit perplexing, honestly. These men were professional athletes. They regularly dated models and actresses. But this singer, this popstar, had them falling all over themselves trying to chat her up. Sure, Roy thought, her level of fame was pretty fucking impressive. She’d won a couple of Grammys, her songs were constantly on the radio, and he’d heard her latest tour was practically impossible to get tickets for. So maybe some of their fawning was justified.
He glanced at his phone, wishing he was at home in bed already. With a deep exhale, he made a beeline for Dani; the sooner he got this over with, the sooner he could leave, he reasoned.
“Oi,” Roy grunted as he approached the striker. He nodded towards the swarm of players, doing his best to keep his trademark disinterested expression on his face. “You going to introduce me to your friend?”
Dani’s eyes sparkled knowingly. “You too, eh Coach?” He chuckled and clapped Roy on the shoulder. “Vámonos.”
Roy’s heart stuttered in his chest as he followed Dani to the corner of the club, where he saw, of all people, Jamie sitting close to the singer, murmuring something in her ear. She laughed at whatever he said and responded with a smile on her face. Her eyes flickered to Roy as he approached; was that… disappointment he saw?
If it was, it was only there for a fraction of a second. Just like on the pitch, her eyes trailed over his figure, a small smirk forming on her lips. If he didn’t know better, Roy would be intrigued by the boldness on her face, the uninhibited way she eyed him. In the back of his head, he couldn’t help feeling a bit smug when he saw the way Jamie’s brows furrowed as the striker looked back and forth between the two.
She kept her eyes on Roy as she stood up and stepped away from Jamie and the guys. She batted her lashes at Roy before turning to Dani, her eyebrows raised expectantly.
Shit, Roy thought. She’s good at this.
“Chula,” Dani said, smiling at his friend. “I want you to meet my coach, Roy.” He turned to Roy. “Coach, this is-”
Roy reached out and took her hand in his and shaking it slowly. “Only an idiot doesn’t know who you are,” he hummed, raising his eyebrows. “You caused quite a stir with my team, you know. You enjoy the match?”
She nodded, giving his hand a squeeze before letting go. “I did. Sorry if I was a bit of a distraction.”
“I think you actually brought us luck.” Fucking hell, when was the last time Roy flirted like this? Was he doing it right? “You should come again sometime.”
Her smile widened as she tilted her head coyly. “Well, if that’s an invitation, maybe I will.”
Desperate to end this charade, Roy cleared his throat. “Have these fellas bought you a drink yet?” When she shook her head, he rolled his eyes playfully. “Fucking hell, guess I need to remind them what fucking manners look like.” With that, he placed his hand on her lower back and nodded towards the bar. “Come on, then.”
She winked at Dani and let Roy lead her to the bar, keeping that coy smile plastered on her face. Once they had ordered, she looked up at him, still smirking.
“Kent,” she hissed through gritted teeth. “Watch your fucking hands.”
Sure enough, Roy realized that his hand was dangerously low, just above the curve of her ass. Shit.
Despite his embarrassment, Roy scoffed, although he did remove his hand. “You’re a natural at that flirting shit,” he all but sneered. “Then again, I’m sure you’ve had plenty of practice, with all your shaggy little rockstar pricks.”
Her eyes narrowed for a fraction of a second as the bartender slid over her drink. Still, she kept her expression neutral; to anyone watching them, she looked as though she was enjoying their conversation. “Oh, I’m sorry.” Her snarky tone contrasted with her sweet face. “Tell me more about the women who sell stories about your dick to the press and steal your watches?”
“Oi,” Roy growled as he picked his beer up off the bar. “That happened once, alright?”
“You mean it got into the papers once,” she grumbled, sipping her drink. She raised her eyebrows at him. “So, what’s the plan?”
Roy frowned. “Fuck d’you mean? We’re doing the fucking plan.”
She shook her head. “Like, are you going to ask me to dance? Are we taking off and going to a restaurant or some shit?” Roy avoided looking at the way her lips wrapped around her little straw as she sipped her drink. “Keeley said it’s up to us, just no going home together on the first night.” The little snort she gave would’ve been adorable coming from anyone else. “As if.”
“Well, I guess if we dance, we don’t have to fucking talk,” Roy muttered, doing his best to mirror her amiable expression; it was challenging, he realized, looking cheery while feeling irritated as hell. He downed the rest of his beer and practically slammed the empty bottle on the bar. “One song, alright? I don’t usually fucking dance.”
“Trust me,” she hummed, finishing the last of her drink. “For me, you’d make an exception.” Flashing what he assumed was her most winning smile, she took Roy’s hand and led him to the crowded dance floor.
On the dance floor, she pressed her body close to his, her movements teasing and natural. Everything about her- her hips, her smile, her eyes on his, the way her hands played with her hair flirtatiously- would have normally had Roy’s chest feeling tight with attraction.
She brought her lips to his ear, looking as though she was probably flirting with him. “I swear to God,” she hissed. “If you get a boner, I will fucking kill you.”
Yeah. Right.
~
Officially introduced? Check.
Flirted? Check.
Had a drink together? Check.
Danced? Check.
We’d gone through enough of the motions. There was no way I was going to spend more time with Kent than I had to; we’d be thrown together enough in the coming weeks once the “dating” began. Besides, Keeley had warned me that Roy didn’t like to stay out late anymore. He was probably even more ready to call it a night than I was.
Sure enough, after a couple of songs, he gave a small grunt and looked at his phone.
“Should get going,” he grumbled.
“Why?” I huffed, fluffing my hair. “Will you fall asleep right here on the dance floor soon?”
He narrowed his eyes at me. “Anyone ever tell you you’re a real ball of fucking sunshine?”
“That’s an improvement from nightmare.” I exhaled and tugged at his jacket. “C’mere.”
Roy’s eyes widened. “Why?”
“So I can say goodnight, you idiot. Someone’s bound to take a photo of this.” Not waiting for an answer, I pulled his face close to mine and planted a small, lingering kiss on his cheek. His face was warm, a little itchy from his beard, and now carried a little red mark from my lipstick. I smiled up at him and released his jacket. “Goodnight, Roy Kent,” I hummed.
He cleared his throat and gave a curt nod. “Right. Goodnight, then.” He reached down and gave my hand a squeeze before turning and walking away, his movements stiff and almost robotic.
Fighting the urge to childishly wipe my mouth on the back of my hand, I returned to the corner where the Greyhounds were gathered. Dani’s face lit up when I slid into the booth next to him and stole a sip of his drink.
“Did you have fun dancing with Coach Kent, amor?” he asked, his voice dripping with teasing.
I smirked at my friend. “He was very nice,” I declared with a playful eyeroll.
“Roy doesn’t normally dance,” one of the players- Colin- informed me. “And he usually doesn’t stay out this late.” He waggled his eyebrows at me over his beer. “Wonder why he came out tonight.”
Putting on my best coy smile, I leaned forward. “What about when his girlfriend comes out with you all? Doesn’t he dance with her?”
Immediately, all the men at the table shook their heads. “Roy doesn’t have a girlfriend,” Isaac, their captain, clarified. “He actually hasn’t really dated anyone since….” He glanced around the table. “Well, since he broke up with his serious girlfriend, Keeley.”
“Keeley?” I echoed without thinking. “Keeley Jones?”
Dani’s smile widened. “Oh, how do you know Keeley?”
Shit.
“I don’t,” I lied. “But I’ve heard of her. We’ve got some mutual friends. She’s a model, right?”
Isaac nodded. “She’s moved into PR, actually. Runs her own firm, works with the club. She’s brilliant.”
“And once upon a time, she and Roy were our OTP,” Colin sighed dreamily. “But they’re good friends now. Them and Jamie and their weird little dynamic.”
“Jamie dated her too,” Dani explained. “Before her and Roy got together.”
I nodded, slowly piecing together the story. “Jamie dated her too?” I chuckled, wondering why I felt like I should have been told all this ahead of time. “Gosh, she has a type, doesn’t she? Dating two guys from the same team.” I put my hands up and quickly added, “Not that I have the right to judge. I dated bandmates once, did not turn out well for the band.”
The guys laughed good-naturedly. As I was about to feign interest and ask another question about Roy, Jamie Tartt approached, plopping down on my other side and setting down a drink in front of me, his arm behind me on the booth casually.
“Finally escaped from Grandad, eh?” he joked, eyes twinkling playfully.
Damn. Normally, his pretty-boy looks and admittedly annoying swagger would be exactly what I wanted, and we’d probably have a fun couple of weeks in each other’s beds. But I needed to stick to the plan; besides, wasn’t I done with guys like this?
Offering the athlete nothing but a polite smile, I turned back to Dani and took my friend’s hand. “It was fun watching you play today,” I hummed. “Think I could come again? Become a Greyhounds fan?”
“Yes!” Dani kissed my forehead. “Please, amor, come to more of our games.” He nudged me. “I’m sure Coach Kent would not mind one bit.”
Hoping my smile was shy rather than obviously fake, I giggled. “He did tell me I brought you all luck,” I said slowly. I batted my eyelashes at Dani. “Don’t suppose you could pass along my phone number to him? I’d love to know which game he’d like me to bring luck to.”
The table fell into a dead silence, all eyes wide and mouths agape. After the guys exchanged looks that could only be described as utterly shocked, Colin finally cleared his throat.
“I’m sorry,” he started, “are you asking Dani to give Roy your phone number?”
Feigning innocence, I nodded. “Sure,” I chirped. “Is that alright? You all said he’s single, so…” I shrugged and turned to Dani. “Unless you think it’s too weird, chulo?”
“No, no,” Dani assured me. “I can give him your number.” He tilted his head at me. “You… you liked Coach Kent, then?”
Nope. Not at all. Not one fucking bit.
“Sure,” I giggled, hating myself. “I mean, as much as I can like a man after one drink and a couple of dances.”
His smile lit up the entire club as he lifted his drink. “Well, then Coach Kent is a lucky man. I will give him your number tomorrow, how does that sound?”
I tapped my glass to Dani’s. “Sounds like a plan.”

Princess
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Cheerleader!reader
Summary: When y/n’s cheer squad find out who her boyfriend is they have a lot to say
A/N i’m terrible at summaries lol. Y/N being a boss bitch lowkey. I can’t stop thinking about Eddie it’s like ruining my day in the best way possible. This doesn’t have a specific time cuz there’s nothing stranger things about it besides the characters.
The sun was beating down on the field today, even with the fall breeze I was still breaking a sweat. It was hard to maintain the same pace when I spent all summer sitting in the back of Eddie’s van listening to music and eating chips.
Every season it’s like this but I’m glad to be back. I love the way it feels, the burn in my legs and arms and lungs. Something about working out always made me feel the best, that’s why I joined the squad. The minute there’s a girls softball team at Hawkins i’ll be on it. Especially because I can’t stand most of the girls. They are constantly judging everyone while simultaneously signing up for canned food drives. Hypocrites.
I was stretching my legs out in between drills when I hear Michelle scoff.
“What is the freak doing here?” she asks, drawing attention to the bleachers.
There he was, boots stomping onto the metal bleachers. He was wearing sunglasses and his classic leather/vest combo. At the sight of him my face flares up red, he said he was going to pick me up not watch the whole thing.
“He’s only here to perv on us” Says Kimberly. Actually he was here to perv on me but whatever.
“he’s probably here scouting his next victim to try and sell drugs to” someone says behind me.
Victim? These girls are clueless.
“that’s not how drug deals even work.” I deadpan. Fuck that sounded wrong.
“I mean, from what I hear they seek him out not vice versa. Just saying...” They were all staring at me now. Their faces were a mix of confusion and doubt.
“Can we get back to the drills now” I say before running off. There was a nice breeze but there was sweat all down the back of my shirt. Luckily Eddie has seen me sweaty before or I’d be real embarrassed right about now.
The rest of practice I tried not to look to my left whenever possible. Every time I saw him sitting there my stomach flipped and I would stumble or miss my mark. It was better to not look, for safety reasons. He was smiling each time I looked over, little shit. As time went on more boys started dotting the stands trying to catch a glimpse of something or to watch their girlfriends. Eddie sits far away from any of them pretending to read a comic.
Patrick, who has had a crush on me since last season, was among them. I made extra effort not to look any where near him. Especially since Eddie is not the best at handling these types of situations with grace,
“Oh my god Y/N! Patrick has been staring at you for the last ten minutes” Someone squeals. They break out into ooo’s and little encouragements. I drink some water and think of what to say.
“He’s cute! And he plays basketball with Jason, I could set you guys up” Chrissy says smiling brightly. She’s always been really kind but no way in hell am I letting that happen.
“He’s not really my type” I say trying to leave it simple. It’s also true, I'm more into heavy metal listening, leather wearing sweethearts who like Star Wars so Patrick is pretty far off.
“You say that about everyone! Who is your type?” Asks Michelle.
Images of Eddie pop into my head. His soft smile reserved only for me. Him air drumming as he drives singing as loud as he can. The way he sleeps on his stomach like a baby holding onto the pillow. His eyes when he’s playing guitar. The slight frizzy halo his hair makes in the sunlight. I think of the smell of leather and weed. The feeling of his rings on my face. Without hesitation I say his name.
“Eddie Munson.”
There’s a moment of silence and I think everyone’s going to die from shock. The first noise that breaks the pause is a laugh. Everyone joins in thinking i’m obviously making a joke of some sort.
“Y/N don’t be mean! I know he’s a freak but don’t get his hopes up”
“You’re so funny Y/N”
“God can you imagine the kind of girl who’d actually go out with that freak?”
They are laughing full on now. The tips of my ears are burning and I can feel the sweat running down my neck.
“Alright girls! You are dismissed. Go home, rest, and come back ready to learn the new routines tomorrow.” says the coach. Thank god
Everyone starts moving toward the benches but I can’t move just yet. Take a deep breath and try again. Eddie see’s everyone heading toward their stuff and stands up preparing to walk back to the D&D room to wait for me.
I grab my back and hurry toward the bleachers. When I pass the girls I hear them snicker again.
“Hey Munson!” I shout walking faster now. Everyone pauses and turns their attention to me. Wondering what a girl like me could want with a guy like him.
Eddie turns toward me shocked that I’m shouting his name in front of everyone.
When I get to the bleachers I step onto the first step pulling his shoulders forward into a kiss. He freezes against me before I feel him melt onto my lips. When I pull back his pupils are huge and he has a lazy smile on his face.
“Hi sweetheart” he whispers
“Hi baby”
I grab his hand and start walking back to the school. Everyone is staring but honestly I don’t really care. Eddie tries to regain his composure by placing his sunglasses on again. His cheeks are still red though.
“Let them stare. Fuck em” I say kissing his hand guiding him forward.
“yeah fuck em” he says lowly.
This moment of confidence and euphoria is cut short when I hear Michelle behind us.
“You can’t be serious Y/N,”
Eddie stops first tugging my arm to make me turn back. Michelle and her robots are standing there with their arms crossed.
“He’s a drug dealer! You could get kicked off the squad for getting involved with people like him” Her nose is all the way turned up as she refers to my boyfriend. The girls on either side of her nod their head.
“Well you could get kicked off the squad if the coach knew you used the locker room to let Jacob Cunningham go to third base but you don’t hear me blabbing about all that.” I state matter of factly.  It’s true and everyone knows it but still when I say it her mouth drops open. I watch as the anger bubbles over and she stomps her foot before squealing like a pig.
“Oh you are so dead! No one’s gonna wanna hang out around you or that freak ever again.” She screams
At the word freak I move toward her dropping Eddies hand who’s watching this with a mix of adoration and fear.
“Call him a freak again and I’ll break your teeth in” I’m standing directly in front of her now. Her robots have taken two steps back and are watching to see my next move.
“did you just threaten me? I’m telling the coach that-”
“That what? That you are harassing me and my boyfriend?” I ask.  When she doesn’t answer I keep going. “Tell her that you guys spend every day making his life miserable because you’re jealous. You’re so jealous of him it makes your skin crawl, you wish you could do whatever you want but you’re stuck doing what everyone else wants you to do. You do cheer and make honor roll and buy all the expensive clothes and date boys who play basketball but at the end of the day you go home and cry yourself to sleep so why don’t you bury your head in the sand and wait for the prom.” I say turning back to Eddie.
I hold my hand out toward him and smile. All the anger from weeks of hiding is gone and I feel lighter than ever.
When we’re out of earshot he breaks out into laughter.
“ A Breakfast Club quote? Really?”
I laugh loudly not thinking he caught that.
“It was the only thing that came to mind!” I defend. He shakes his head at my cliché comeback.
“Well still that was badass” He kisses my cheek proudly
We make it inside just in time for the D&D meeting.
“I’m gonna go change and i’ll meet you in there okay?” I kiss him before heading to the bathroom.
When I walk into the room Eddie is recounting the story eccentrically to the entire club. The lights are dimmed for game mode so I know everyone’s eagerly waiting to start. When he see’s me enter he stops with his arms open and smiling brightly.
“And here she is fresh from defending my honor the Princess of Hellfire” He starts clapping dramatically. He looks so proud of me. I blush at the stupid nickname. Being the only girl had it’s perks, having to be called the Princess was not one of them.
“Gentlemen” I say curtseying and bowing my head holding my imaginary dress in my hands. They greet me kindly like they always do. Eddie sits in his chair and opens his legs inviting me to sit on his lap. I walk over slowly before lowering myself onto his left leg where I always sit. He places his hands on my hips and squeezes gently. Before he starts he whispers in my ear,
“Thank you so much sweetheart. Remind me to buy you as many Spiderman comic books as you want next time we go out.” He kisses my shoulder. I know how hard it’s been for him being stuck here. I want him to get out of here just as much as he does.
“you don’t have to thank me baby, I love you” I say turning to kiss him.
“I love you more-”
“Can we start please!” someone shouts.
I laugh and face foreword.
“Fine it’s your death.” Eddie mutters before starting his script for his campaign.

Can I request Nubbins x fem reader? She has friends who don't want Nubbins near her because they don't like the way he is. But when Nubbins is with the reader it is pleasant because she does not judge him or treat him badly. How would he manage to have her all to himself and not let anyone ruin it?
I don't know if Nubbins would be possessive and rude like Johnny or if he is more passive...
Nubbins x Reader
The Only One that Counts
Contains; fluff, derogatory names
Tumblr media
"Guys, cut it out," you say, shooting a glare at your two best friends.
"Seriously though, what do you see in him? Everything about him is weird, even his name. Who names their kid Nubbins?" Emily says, snickering.
"Maybe I like weird," you interject.
"For your birthday, he got you a dead possum with a lightbulb in its mouth. He's twisted," Joey adds, looking more concerned than anything.
You cross your arms. "That was cute! Pulling the tail turned it on. I named him Henry."
"You have a dead giant trash rat named Henry by your bed," Joey says flatly. "See why we're concerned?"
You shrug. "Not every girl wants chocolate and makeup. I like his little crafts. He's really creative."
"He's gonna turn you into a lamp next if you're not careful," Emily says. "I heard he cuts himself for fun."
"Guys, just stop. I'm happy with him, okay? Isn't that enough?"
Both Emily and Joey look incredulous, shaking their heads.
"Don't you see we're trying to protect you? That guy's whole family is messed up. Have you seen his giant brother? What if being a giant retarded freak runs in the family? Do you want giant retard freak kids running around the house?" Joey says, as if he could think of nothing worse.
"I'm tired of listening to this," you say, fuming. You stand up from the bench and glare at your friends before turning your back, a tear streaking down your cheek.
"Y-your friends want you to leave me?" Nubbins asks, cocking his head. The two of you are sitting in the sunflower fields as the sun rises, painting the sky pink. He doesn't seem upset, just curious.
"They think you're dangerous," you say, looking down at your joined hands and running your thumb over his. You can't bring yourself to tell him what they've said about his brother.
"W-well," Nubbins laughs, smiling. "I mean, I am. Grandpa wouldn't think I'm the best if I w-wasn't!" He pauses, then squeezes your hand. "But, 'course I'd never hurt you!"
"I know, Nubs, I'm just sad my friends are so judgmental," you say, sighing and leaning against his shoulder.
He uses his pocket knife to etch into the dirt between his feet, drawing your initials beside his. "Why does it matter w-what they think?" He pauses, looking up at you worriedly. "Y-you aren't gonna listen to them, are ya?" He asks, as if the notion hadn't occurred to him.
"No, of course not!" you soothe, instantly erasing the worried expression off his face. "I just don't like hearing them talk bad about you and your family."
"I could cut out their tongues!" he offers cheerily. "You ever had tongue pudding? It's real good!"
"No no, please don't," you giggle, and he laughs wildly, his whole body shaking beside yours.
Nubbins, still in a giggle fit, nuzzles at your ear before nipping it, making you laugh and shove him away. He lunges after you, tackling you to the dirt and touching your nose to his with a loud "boop!" A wild grin lights up his face, and you pull him down for a kiss, surprising the man into a fleeting moment of stillness.
When you break the kiss, he stares at you in a stupor before sense returns to his brain, and he blinks rapidly, his earlier grin returning. "Wow… sometimes I forget we can do that. Talk about crazy; your friends musta never had a kiss like that. Well, probably 'cause they never kissed you," he peters off, pure adoration in his eyes as he holds himself over you.
"You're so sweet, Nubbins," you say, kissing the tip of his nose. "I love you."
His face flushes pink, and he traces your lip with his thumb, cradling your face in his hand. "I l-love you too."
Nubbins doesn't care what anyone thinks but you. As long as he knows you love him, he will never get jealous.

Someday We’ll Be Together
Chapter 13: Good Morning
————————————————————————-
October 1, 2021
*narrated*
y/n's mom was sitting at the kitchen island drinking her morning coffee. her husband, y/n's dad, was mowing the lawn outside so she was content with the quietness.
until it startled her. it was 10:30 am, and there was no sign of y/n.
usually she would have come down by now to get breakfast before heading back up to her room.
y/n's parents had gotten home so late last night that they went straight to bed without checking on y/n. they knew she had gotten home alright and since her bedroom door was closed they figured that she was asleep.
she stood up from the island, put her empty coffee cup in the sink, and made her way up the stairs.
once she got to her door she thought about knocking, but didn't want to wake her up if she was still asleep.
when she opened the door she gasped at the sight as her eyes went wide, and her open mouth turned into a wide grin.
what did she see?
y/n asleep on joe's chest, the covers had found their place just bellow their mid drifts so the fact that joe's arms were wrapped around y/n's waist was visible.
they definitely made up, y/n's mom thought.
(joe's pov)
when i woke up, the first thing my eyes landed on was y/n's mom standing in the doorway.
"so last night went well?" - your mom smiled
i nodded and placed a kiss on y/n's forehead, in response she cuddled deeper into my chest.
"awww." - your mom
"i asked to come over as soon as i got home. she said yes, thank god. i apologized, explained how i freaked out and didn't actually want to make lexie jealous. one thing led to another and i told her i was in love with her, she told me she felt the same way. we kissed. then we fell asleep cuddling." - joe
"so.. are you guys dating?" - your mom
"not yet. we're going on a date tonight and i'm gonna ask her to be my girlfriend then." - joe
"i'm so happy for you guys. does anyone else know?" - your mom
"just you." - joe smiled
"well i'm glad i'm the first to know, i'd say i was wingman for both of you." - your mom
"that's for sure." - joe
"y/m/n, where are my headphones?!" - your dad
y/n's mom shushed him, and he was confused to why until she pointed to y/n and i.
"well damn. you guys together?" - your dad
"not yet. we confessed to each other last night, i'd say we'll be able to say we're dating after our date tonight. i've already got a plan." - joe
"sounds good. i'm really glad it's you, joe. you make her really happy and i know you'll treat her right." - your dad
"that means a lot. she makes me really really happy as well." - joe
"i mean look at you. you can't wipe the smile off your face." - your dad laughed
a nervous laugh escaped my lips and i panicked when y/n started stirring. her eyes opened and when the first thing she saw was me, a huge smile graced her lips.
"good morning, joey." - you kissed joe
"morning, honey." - joe
"i can't! you guys are so cute!" - your mom
y/n's back was to the door so when she heard her mom's voice she shot up in bed, startled.
"mom! dad! what the hell?! go!" - you
"we were just checking on you!" - your mom
"you guys are so weird!" - you
"we're leaving! we're leaving!" - your mom
she was shutting the door, but paused when it was cracked.
"you guys are adorable." - your mom
"go!" - you
when the door was finally shut, i started laughing while y/n glared at me.
"what?" - joe
"don't encourage them." - you
"i wasn't! i think it's sweet that they're supportive of us." - joe
"sure, but watching us sleep is a little weird! don't you think?" - you
"it's because we're cuddling. they haven't seen us do that, they're in shock." - joe
"maybe, but i don't want an audience every time i hold you." - you
i knew she was being serious, and was genuinely annoyed, but hearing those words leave her mouth made me blush.
she quickly noticed my cheeks changing color and laid back down to pull me closer to her. my head laid on her chest as she ran her hand through my hair.
"you have no idea how long i've wanted to do this." - you kissed his forehead
"i love this, but it's kinda weird for me." - joe
"how so?" - you
"i'm sorry to bring her up, but when i was with lexie she'd throw a fit if i did anything remotely touchy. she made me sleep on the couch once because i tried to spoon her. we aren't even officially together and you've already pulled me onto your chest, and you're playing with my hair. it's a really nice change and i'm loving every second of this." - joe
"i'm gonna make it my mission to heal you from all the wounds she left you with. as long as you're with me, i promise to do everything in my power to show you that she was the problem and not you." - you
i wanted to say more but the only thing i managed to choke out was "thank you."
"don't thank me, joe. it's how you deserve to be treated. never be afraid to be touchy okay?" - you
nodding my head in her chest, she wrapped an arm around my shoulders to hold me tighter.
"so, you're taking me on a date today?" - you
"oh shit, yeah! i need to get all the supplies and everything ready, so i'm probably going to have to leave in an hour or so." - joe
"as much as i'm looking forward to our date, i don't want you to leave." - you squeezed him
"i know, baby." - joe
the pet name was said without thinking, and how y/n tensed up told me it was too early for that.
"what did you say?" - you
"uhh.. i know?" - joe
"after that." - you
"baby." - joe
"call me that again." - you
i lifted my head off her chest to see what her facial expression was, and to my surprise she was grinning.
"you look beautiful, baby." - joe smiled
her smile got wider and i watched her gaze flick from my eyes to my lips before she crashed her lips onto mine.
every time i thought the kiss was going to disengage, it didn't. we kept kissing and it kept getting more and more intense. using one arm to lift myself up, my other arm looped around her waist till i flipped us.
now she was straddling me, and showed no intention of stopping the kiss.
"y/n-" - joe attempted to pull away
"what?" - you searched his eyes for a reason why he stopped
"we gotta stop now." - joe
"why?" - you
"because if we don't, i won't be able to stop myself." - joe
"what's wrong with that." - you leaned in to kiss him.
she was only met with my hand on her lips. she kissed my fingers anyways before taking my hand in hers.
"i want our first time to be special. the last thing i want is to rush into the physical part of our relationship and not be able to savor it." - joe
"i really respect that, joe. there aren't many guys like that anymore, and i find it sweet that you want to form a strong emotional bond first. it shows that you want me for me." - you
"those are my exact intentions, honey." - joe pecked your lips
