Mediaposting 2023, #41: Hotel Dusk Room 215
Tumblr media
this is not a bad game, it's pretty solid as a 7/10 and I can see why people rec it. i do think it's worth playing (and its not very long for a VN, only took me about 16 hours). however, it has some fucking horrendous pacing issues and took almost half of its run time to actually get interesting to me, and some of its characters (COUGHS AT HELEN AND JEFF) feel like filler more than anything which is....not a good idea in a 16 hour game LOL. also the thing w/ mila and iris that literally never gets resolved drives me crazyyyy like kyle didnt even MENTION it to either of them. the hell was that about also i could honestly kind of figure out the big plot twist a few hours before it got revealed.....which is kind of a bummer when "a few hours" means "25% of the game" LOL. idk. its not really bad and does some interesting parallels but it definitely has some notable flaws (aside from the ones I already mentioned: the music is so repetitive good god why does most of the good music only play like three times) that really prevent me from giving it the classic vn certification that some people think it deserves.
the story Is Good and i do think its worth playing lol im just v nitpicky with my mystery VNs and this one kind of failed to be an interesting mystery for me since you dont even really start getting clues about much until a few hours in....and, again, when it's 16 hours long, that "few hours" is way higher of a percentage of the game and kinda puts a damper on things.
all that said, though, the art style and book-style presentation absolutely rule. ik cing didn't make too many other games but i wish they had just for the art and presentation style they had going on. it's really unique

Let me love you
Tumblr media
Sally McKenna x reader
You had always been a shy person and because of it you didn't really interact with people. It's not like you didn't want do - well not always, but you did. However, they usually came to the conclusion that you're either rude or weird, while you're only an introvert. You hadn't expected it to be different, so it was a nice change when in your life appeared Sally. She seemed to look at you differently. She knew how incorrect and unfair judging could be, so she didn't judge. Sally was simply sitting with you. It was her who talk for most of the time, but you didn't mind. She was telling you various stories about the hotel or her life. She was also complimenting you a lot - and her reward were your blush or a huge grin on your face. It took quite some time for you to open up, but when you did she probably couldn't be more happy. You two were chatting non-stop. You always started at the bar, but as it was getting late you moved to either yours or Sally's room. You're talking, literally, from dusk till down until you were too tired to keep your eyes open. Then Sally usually was telling you that you're still alive and as a human being you need to get some sleep. She on the other hand was a ghost, so when you're asleep she was sitting in the corner of the room and looking at you.
She felt as if she had finally found the soul that she had been looking for. You, however, had never been good when it came to feelings, so you needed pretty some time to process it all. When you finally did understand that you're head over heels in love with her - things had already got complicated. In Sally's life appeared a new person - namely John Lowe.
At first you thought that it changed nothing, but you're mistaken. Sally began to spend with him more time - thereby neglecting you. Once again you felt hurt, but there was nothing you could do. Liz tried to make you talk and after a few drinks you admitted that you're in love with Sally. The woman advised you to tell the ghost about your feelings, but you of course needed to think it out. It took you the whole night, before you finally made up your mind. You decided to tell her and so you went to her room. The door was open so you entered, as you usually did. However, instead of Sally with a cigarette you saw her with John. She was laying on the bed with her legs spreaded for him. And that was too much for you. You ran to the bar and spent there the rest of the evening - drinking and smoking, which actually was something you had learnt from Sally.
Both Liz and Iris tried to talk to you. They wanted to know what happened, cause you had never acted like that before. However, you blocked up again. You didn't cry though. Instead of tears there was an anger building up inside you. You began to wonder if he was really better than you. Why did she choose someone who would never lover her - definitely not the way you did. You were broken in the worst of possible ways. And the fact that you had to see them together almost every evening or listen to Sally talking about how amazing John was - made you feel even worse.
"What's wrong with you?" Sally asked once, as you got suspiciously silent
"N-nothing" you looked up to Liz instead and you could say that she already knew what's bothering you
You excused yourself and went straight to your room. Meanwhile Sally turned to Liz
"What happened to her?" she asked as she dragged her cigarette
"I think y/n suffers from the very same reason you did" Liz affirmed
The ghost looked at her confused
"She's in love"
"With who?"
"Oh, Sally. You couldn't be that oblivious..."
You needed 3 sleepless nights to made a final decision. You eventually made up your mind and chose to leave the hotel. It was hard - of course. You got used to that place. You liked Iris and Liz, even the Countess - of whose kids you're taking care. But you couldn't stand seeing Sally every day and pretend you were okay. The inner pain became unbearable and escape seemed to be the only solution. You already had your luggage ready. You were pretty sure that it would be hard to find a different place, where you could feel that happy as you used to be at the hotel. Though you decided. You headed up downstairs to the door with your things. You're already at the door when familiar cold hand grabbed your wrist.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Sally asked when your eyes met
You looked at your luggage then at her, but you said nothing.
"Are you leaving me? Like the rest?" the tears were streaming down her cheeks
"I..." you hesitated
You didn't know what to say. You didn't expect her to be there and her presence knocked you off the stride even more.
"When will you come back?" she asked hopefully
You closed your eyes to stop the tears and answered with cracking voice
"N-never"
"What? Why? Y/n, why are you leaving? Did somebody hurt you? Tell me"
That was too much for you. All the pent-up anger and grief exploded inside you.
"You! You hurt me!" you snapped at her "Don't make it harder. Let me go"
"No. Please, please, tell me what's wrong? I can fix it. Just please don't go"
"You cannot fix it, Sal. You would never give me what I want"
"What do you want? My god, y/n, please. I'll give you everything"
"You can't. You will never love me the way I love you. I know you're with John. I know you're in love with him and I'm happy for you. But I cannot just sit here and look at you. I'm tired of pretending that I'm okay and it doesn't hurt"
"Y-you love me?"
You nodded wiping the tears that managed to escape.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I did. I mean I wanted to, but you're with him..."
"I-I... Y/n, don't go. Please. I didn't realize..."
"It's okay, Sally" you stroked her cheek with your palm "You don't have to do this. There's no need to pretend. Just be happy and I'll be too" you turned back, but she took your hand making you face her again
"I won't be happy without you here"
"Please, don't mess with my feelings"
"I would never. Please. I'm sorry" she hugged you tight "Please don't go. I cannot live here without you. This place is terrible. It's like a clouded sky during the storm, but when you're here... You're like a ray of sunshine. I-I need you. You made my life complete. I love you from the first moment I saw you..."
"You what?"
"I love you. I swear. From the first moment I saw you I knew you're going to change everything. You're so fragile, so innocent... So sweet and beautiful"
"You never said that..." you hesitated
"I was afraid that I can lose you. I was so stupid. I'm sorry. Please don't go. I can fix everything. Please, please stay and let me love you"
You should be happy at her confessions. That's something you had been waiting since forever, but there was that one thought that wouldn't let you enjoy the moment
"W-what about John?" you asked, almost whispered it actually - afraid of what the answer would be
"What do you want me to do with him? I'll do everything"
"Just promise there will be no John any more"
"I promise. I swear. No John. Only you and me" she said and gently pinned you to the wall
Sally kissed you with a tenderness that you had never experienced. You could taste her salty tears, but you didn't care. It still felt amazing. The relief took over your body as soon as she embraced you. And when she did you knew that even in that place - full of darkness you're going to have a good time as long as she's there by your side. Cause, honestly, nobody could make you feel the way she did.

The Dusk Patrol - Chapter One Excerpt
Authour’s Note:
The first two thousand words or so of my WIP, a little scene where our protagonists are introduced and roles are established. Hope you all enjoy!

Episode 1 – Nightwalkers
It was only when the sun fell that Hope City lit up. Neon flames danced to the pounding chorus that spilled from club doorways and underground raves. The orderly suits of the business sector gave way to brightly dressed youths and drunken partygoers. Beer and blood and drugs beckoned from every doorway, while on the street a thousand honking taxis fought to push through endless gridlock.
There was a lot of crime in Hope City. Beyond the dazzling wealth of its tourist sector lay ramshackle neighborhoods and creeping decay. Hope was two cities, really; one was for the tourists, and the other, much poorer and far more violent, for its permanent residents.
It was in this second city that Dusk Patrol cadet Wren Nichang found herself, her police trainee badge flashing white every time she passed beneath a streetlight. The wind had started to pick up, ruffling her bob cut and sending a chill across her bare arms. It got cold quick at night, even in the summer.
Her mentor tonight was Brian Okave, six foot five and built like a steamroller. The Faith’s golden halo hung around his neck, though Wren couldn’t imagine him as the kind of man who prayed. Everything else about his uniform was standard Dusk Patrol; one Gaea L56 sidearm, one crackling walkie-talkie, a UV-capable flashlight and two clips of hollow-point bullets. Okave was one of the best mentors on the force and Wren was hoping she’d be assigned to shadow him for her training period. It was hard to tell if Okave reciprocated the feeling. There was a veneer of calm about him that rarely broke, even when he raised his voice.
“Nichang. Situational assessment.”
They were in a quieter part of town, the buildings ramshackle and the streetlights few and far between. It wasn’t a place that outsiders visited often, a hidden slum just blocks from one of the city’s biggest concert halls. “There are no cars in sight,” Wren said, squinting as she peered into the darkness. “Fence behind us isn’t short enough to jump. The houses across the street are too close together for there to be alleyways. There’s only one person in the immediate area, leaning against that streetlight. I assume that’s our contact.”
“Good eyes,” said Okave. “Professional assessment. Keep your guard up nonetheless. This is a bad part of town and some nightwalkers are very good at hiding.”
The wind picked up, a soft howling that competed with the distant city noises for attention. As they crossed the street, Wren folded her arms and wished she’d remembered to bring her jacket. “Sir?” she ventured. “Shouldn’t we be wearing plainclothes?”
“We should, yes.”
“Then why–”
“Department rules, Nichang. You’ll see when you meet her.”
“Oh.” Wren frowned. Suspense was never a good thing. “Have you known her for long?
“Several months. I met Anderson on a case. She was mugged on her way home, broke the poor bastard’s arm in three places. I brought up a murder I was working on and she gave me a name. Been my contact ever since.” There was a note of pride in Okave’s voice.
Wren nodded, unsure what to make of that. “With all due respect, sir, I didn’t realize the Dusk Patrol kept informants. None of my previous mentors had any.” Wren left out that her previous mentors hadn’t been too interested in casework. The mentors only got one night with each cadet before putting down names for permanent assignment, and most spent that time getting to know the trainees instead of doing actual policing. Wren–who couldn’t hold a conversation if it was glued to her hands–had spent the last two weeks red-faced and mumbling as each mentor’s initial enthusiasm faded into awkward silence.
“We don’t,” Okave replied to Wren’s query. “This is a special case.”
The figure waved at their approach. A girl, around a year younger than Wren, maybe eighteen. She wore an oversized sweater with the hood pulled up, torn jeans, and fingerless gloves. Her shoes were cheap knockoffs with a brand name like Noke or Jordens. Her face was drawn and pale, feral almost, her short brown hair so ragged and messy Wren was sure that she’d cut it herself with a dull knife and no mirror.
“Brian,” the girl said. Her voice was low. “Who’s the Asian chick?”
“Don’t call me that,” Wren scowled. She was an addict of some sort, that much was certain. Probably wearing the sweater to hide the marks in her arms–though from needles or teeth it was impossible to say. It wasn’t unheard of for people to give themselves up as blood banks, even if feeding was illegal outside of approved centres. Then again there’s the other possibility. She’s one of them.
“Sure thing cutie,” said the girl, with a smile. “I’m Anderson. Ann for short. Brian you didn’t answer my question.”
“Her name is Wren. She’s my shadow for the evening.”
“That’s cool, that’s cool. What am I here for? And I know you’re gonna say ‘the murder of course’ but which one? Cops gunned down three nightwalkers on Cinder Street–”
“Official statement is they drew first.”
“Cross that off. There’re some dead people in a hotel. I think it was a murder-suicide, but I don’t know much. Heard it was gruesome–blood and wax everywhere. Pretty spooky.”
“We want to know about this man.” Okave drew a rumpled photograph from his pants pocket and passed it to the girl. She looked it over, pursing her lips. “Try to remember, would you? I’m sure it can be worth your while.”
Wren watched the interaction from behind Okave. Dusk Patrol was weird in that way; for some things you had complete autonomy and others none. It was probably a rule somewhere you had to wear uniforms when talking to informants. Something about ‘maintaining a position of authority’. They were big on that stuff, pride before practicality.
The autonomy though. Only in the Dusk Patrol could you park your squad car two blocks away, walk to some crap-sack neighborhood and offer a lowlife a bribe without calling any of it in. Then again, when every case was an assault or murder, the criminals were monstrous nightwalkers and officer mortality rates were high enough that a sizeable part of the budget went to paying off life insurance, for most the perks weren’t worth the risk.
“I think I’ve seen him before.” The girl’s voice grew in confidence with each syllable. “Yeah, he was at Iris last Saturday. Bought a drink or two.”
“Iris?” Wren asked. “What’s that?”
“It’s a nightwalker club.” Anderson smiled, a big smile, large enough to show incisors. “I am a vampire.”
Wren stared and Okave sighed and Anderson’s wide smile grew wider.
“Let’s get back on topic here,” said Okave. “We know the guy was at Iris. I wouldn’t be here talking to you if we didn’t know that–”
“I work drinks,” Anderson explained to Wren.
“–so clearly I’m looking for more. Who was he? What did he do? Where did he go?”
“Why does it matter?”
Okave sighed again, running a dark hand over his forehead. “Because he’s been dead two days. We found his body in a dumpster on Queens. Throat slashed, drained dry. He had no wallet, no ID, and we’re waiting on forensics to match his prints. Autopsy came back yesterday; shows he wasn’t a nightwalker.”
“And then you started caring.” Anderson’s voice took on an edge. And that’s why we don’t have informants, Wren thought. To say the relationship between nightwalkers and the Dusk Patrol was poor would have been the understatement of the century. They hate us.
“I just do my job,” Okave said flatly. “The case came on my desk yesterday. A witness placed the guy somewhere in Iris’s vicinity, so I figured I’d talk to you.”
“Well I don’t know his name,” said Anderson. “But I know what he was.”
“That’s a start.”
Anderson scratched the back of her neck. If she felt threatened by the two officers she did not show it. My first vampire, Wren thought. Not entirely true, as she had seen other nightwalkers during training. Behind cells, though, or in interrogation rooms. Anderson was out in the wild. She was different than what Wren had expected. Cocky and rude, but not entirely unfriendly. How does it come so easily to her, that confidence? I wish I had that.
“He was a familiar,” Anderson was saying. “Your shadow know what I’m talking about?”
Okave looked to Wren, who was still staring. “Well?”
“Oh. Uh, they’re humans that want to be nightwalkers, right? Vampires usually.”
“It’s like a fetish,” Anderson chuckled. “He came up to the counter and asked for a beer. I think it was an excuse to make small talk; you should have seen his face when I told him my age. He asked my name, but I already knew where this was going. I told him I wasn’t interested in that sort of arrangement.”
“Blood for money?” Wren asked.
“Providence no, it’s blood for love. It’s blood so maybe a vampire might take you into their home, or even illegally turn you if you’re lucky.”
“I see.” Wren fought to keep her face blank. The thought of willingly letting a vampire drink her blood was a repulsive one, but she didn’t want to offend Anderson. “Does it happen often?”
This time it was Okave who answered. “Rarely, and rarer still the authorities don’t find out. There’s always the danger of ending up with an abusive vampire, or a pathological liar that just wants you for blood. That said, not that all vampires are manipulative, nor are nightwalkers in general–”
“Aw shut up,” Anderson interrupted. “Always with that PC bullshit. Anyways, I told the guy I wasn’t interested, and he left. To be honest I’m not too surprised he’s dead; dude was naïve, nervous. Probably his first time out.”
“Did you see him with anyone?” Okave asked, but the vampire just shrugged.
“Come on, Brian, it’s a busy place. It’s hard to make out faces in a crowd.”
Okave stuck a hand in his pants pocket and came out with a few bills. He let the glow from the streetlight catch on them. “How about these faces?”
Anderson snatched the money. She was almost a head smaller than Okave, her thin form dwarfed in his shadow. “Yeah, I recognize them. I remember your dead man too. Saw him leave with a woman, some ‘crat.”
“You have a name?”
Anderson shook her head. “No, she’s new, but I know the guy she was drinking with. His name is Tim Gossel.”
Gossel, she explained, had been turned legally at a government center when he was eighteen, one of the last before they got shut down. He was a college student and, Anderson added, a ‘hippy’. Wants to ban silver bullets and reopen turning centres. Thinks the Dusk Patrol and the Faith are evil. To Wren he sounded much worse than a hippy; he was a radical with dangerous views. No doubt he thought nightwalker criminals were all good people as well, victims of culture and circumstance and societal pressures.
At least she doesn’t think much of him either, Wren mused. The contempt in Anderson’s voice was palpable. “I didn’t think he was violent,” the vampire was saying. “Though I bet he’d take a swing at me if he knew I talk to you guys.”
It occurred to Wren just how risky Anderson’s actions were. People like Gossel were rife in Hope; no doubt they would consider speaking to the police some form of betrayal. “Does that worry you?” she asked, feeling a note of concern for the slouching girl.
“Fuck no I’d kick his scrawny ass,” Anderson laughed. “Kid’s three, I’m a hundred– Wren, are you alright? Your eyes just got real fuckin’ large again.”
“She’s fine,” Okave said. “If you don’t have anything else, I think we’re done here.”
“Fine by me.” Anderson straightened, adjusting her hood. “Nice to meet you, Wren. See you around sometime.”
Wren managed a quiet ‘bye’ as the girl walked past them, out of the streetlight and into the shadows. She closed her eyes, trying to clear her thoughts. She’s a vampire. The Dusk Patrol is supposed to kill her kind, and werewolves, and demons, and ghouls, and any kind of nightwalker that makes trouble. But she doesn’t care, no, she’s our friend. And she’s a hundred, plus what, the seventeen, eighteen years she was human? Did she call me cute?
Providence, she did. That’s so cool.

Hotel Dusk/Last Window!
Hotel Dusk yay! :D  Thank you!!
This’ll probably lean more towards Dusk than Window since I’ve only played LW once years ago lol
Give me a Series & I'll tell you...
❤ Favorite Male: Kyle Hyde, our hard-boiled ex-cop turned crappy door-to-door salesman who talks like he’s in a noir film and got himself a paperclip.
❤ Favorite Female: Mila for being cute and sweet
❤ Favorite Pairing: I don’t think I really have one for this series ^^”
❤ Least Favorite Character: I’m not sure if I have one for this series either... I remember not liking Iris much in Hotel Dusk but it’s been long enough that maybe I don’t feel that way anymore. Or maybe Dilan from Last Window for spending most of the game creeping me out.
❤ who’s most like me: I’m not really sure haha
❤ most attractive: Kyle Hyde
❤ three more characters that I like: Louis DeNonno, his clone Tony Wolf, and Martin Summer. Martin’s more of the love to hate type but he’s entertaining and I like his story (and just how much Kyle seems to hate him especially. Bonus points for his involvement  in that one bizarre game over in Hotel Dusk where Kyle and Dunning get drunk together)

one sentence fics: ignoct
So this is super late; my apologies to both @wrathofscribbles and @tinyconfectionary for the delay!  Life has been hecka busy.  Warnings for angst and smut.
i. angst  Cold stone, cold blade, cold flesh beneath Ignis's shaking hands as they map out the shape of Noct's bowed head; what joke of a blessing, what balm can there possibly be in the first rays of sunlit warmth stealing in through the throne room's shattered windows against any of them?
ii. au By the time Ignis peered around the pristine white edge of his canvas and caught Noct's intent stare as he carelessly slipped the robe from his shoulders, he'd realized that he'd gravely underestimated Noct's determination -- and that he'd be paying the price every second of the next three hours.
iii. crack "Iris rather bullied me into it, to say the least -- some time ago," Ignis says after a long silence; Noct doesn't hear him, utterly transfixed by the television set, all bright colors and cheerful chiptune music as a trio of animated moogles dances across the screen of dancing vegetable people to introduce Cooking With Iggy.
iv. futurefic "That's all of them," Ignis murmurs and wraps his arms around Noct's waist, leaning his chin over his shoulder as they survey Insomnia at dusk from one of the dizzyingly high balconies ringing the Citadel; nine long years and the bulk of the treasury to do it, yes, but tonight the last fallen district announces its defiance in a ripple of waking streetlights, and their beautiful, wounded city is whole once more.
v. first time  It's almost funny, Ignis thinks, that all his words fail him now -- that in the stillness of this run-down hotel room, the expansive reach of his mind has contracted down to this single point of existence, Noct and the blessed curl of his fingers, the perfect heat and pressure of his mouth wrapped around him and all Ignis can do is weave his fingers through midnight-dark hair and pray he doesn't shatter to pieces.
vi. fluff It's possible to become emotional over nothing more than a half-heard bark of soft laughter, or the way bright Cleigne sunlight can hit skin just so, casting shadows beneath full lips and soft cheeks and sweeping eyelashes, demanding a moment of contemplation for each; this is what love is, Ignis reminds himself for the third time today, and knows it won’t be the last.
vii. humor "Hey Iggy, look at this way," Ignis hears from behind his shoulder as he's smoothing his hair in the reflection of the cafe window, certainly not thinking of jokes about ruffled feathers, "at least no one said it looks like a chocobo's butt."
viii. hurt/comfort Ignis can feel the frantic way Noct grabs at his side, fingers scrabbling beneath his jacket in search of torn (cut) cloth and broken skin even before the lasts of the wasps have stilled on the ground; it doesn't matter that the barest kiss of a stray blade is the best any of them could hope for in the throes of delusion and the result is barely worth the potion to heal it -- no, Noct will find some way to take that blame upon his shoulders, and so all Ignis can do is hold him closer and murmur words of forgiveness in the hope that they'll reach him soon.
ix. smut "I swear on my ancestors, Iggy," Noct growls as he grinds down onto Ignis's fingers with renewed desperation -- eyes lidded, lips parted, the heavy weight of his cock digging into the slick skin of his belly as Noct grips Ignis's shoulders -- "if you don't get in me in the next ten seconds, I'm gonna scream."
x. ust Noct's breath stutters in the back of his throat when Ignis catches his fingers in his own, a shiver jolting its way down his spine as he looks into those glittering green eyes and recognizes the knowing there, as Ignis brings them to his lips and makes his murmured your highness sound like a confession, a benediction, a promise.

If I had a nickel for every puzzle game I’ve loved that had a character named Iris, I would have three nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened thrice.

ROUND ONE - RESULTS!
Tumblr media
MATCHUPS: -Sam and Max (Sam and Max) VS Eddie Valiant (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)
-Basil of Baker Street (The Great Mouse Detective) VS Kuruto Ryuki (AI The Somnium Files: Nirvana Initiative)
-Dick Gumshoe (Ace Attorney) VS Lynne (Ghost Trick)
-Naoto Shirogane (Persona 4) VS Hercule Poirot (Agathe Christie's Poirot)
-Professor Layton (Professor Layton) VS Erika Furudo (Umineko)
-Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium) VS Benoit Blanc (Knives Out)
-Dex Dogtective (FoodFight) VS Columbo (Columbo)
-Herlock Sholmes (The Great Ace Attorney) VS Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks) Woo! This had quite a few surprises, but here's the results for Round One! I must say, I had a lot of expectations - and just about every single one was blown out of the water. I'm very excited to see the next part! Oh, and one more thing...
Tumblr media
Here's the loser's bracket! Those empty spaces are for the next matchup these characters will face.
MATCHUPS:
-Detective Pikachu (Detective Pikachu) VS Batman (DC)
-Iris Archwell (Nintendo's StreetPass) VS Honor Mizrahi (Murder by Numbers)
-Goro Akechi (Persona 5) VS L (Death Note)
-Kyoko Kirigiri (Danganronpa) VS Tohru Adachi (Persona 4)
-Kaname Date (AI: The Somnium Files) VS Lady Love Dies (Paradise Killer)
-Shinichi Kudo (Detective Conan) VS Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew
-Hank Schrader (Breaking Bad) VS Inspector Gadget (Inspector Gadget)
-Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes) VS Amelia Watson (Hololive) and Kyle Hyde (Hotel Dusk) I am implementing a special rule - should a character have to face someone in Losers that they already lost to in Winners, they will swap with whoever is on the opposite side of the bracket. This may come into effect very soon depending on what happens! With that being said, you may notice Kyle and Amelia stacked together. This is because I have decided to keep Kyle, the two are now in a duo slot! No three-way polls, just duo slot for both of them. The three way rule was only ever meant for BBC Sherlock who has been destroyed. GOOD! With that, I'll be announcing the date for round 2 very shortly! Thank you all!

“So who is Iris?” Sora asks Gladio watching Angel fisnihg waking up she let out a yawn and licked her lips. Gladio smiled, puffing up his chest.
“Iris is my little sister, I thought when the crown  city she died just like my…” Gladio paused and seemed to have to collected himself, “She was able to escape with the aid of the marshall, Jared and Talcott. And there waiting for us in Lestallum.”
“So it’s safe to say that she is waiting for us at the Leville.” Ignis muses, “You want to go now.”
“Yes, it’s still light out, we can make it. Noct?” Noctis looked up from his phone.
“If Iris is alive and waiting for us, we shouldn’t keep her waiting.” Noctis smiles, Ignis smiled back and then mutter something about the stew needed to be packed up before they left. Angel and Sora shared and look but shrugged and got up and ready to leave. Sora said goodbye to the chicks and somehow ended up with a gray feather, and silver feather. Prompto stole the feathers and jerry rigged them into a earring for the boy. Sora said thank you and placed the new earring into his ear.
“If you want I can go ahead and make sure Iris is okay.” Angel suggest stretching out like a cat.
“You don’t mind?” Gladio asks, he had only know the girl a short while but she was willing go and meet with iris for him, why?
“Not at all, I just need a map and I can get there with no issue. And I need to know what she looks like. ” Angel tells him with a smile.
“Thank you.” Gladio tells her, and hugs her tight. Angel smiled back and patted him the back, she wasn’t a fan of hugs but eh. After finding out that iris had brown hair and eyes and getting a map, she was off. She warned Sora to stay close to the boys.
Angel flight to Lestallum was uneventful, she ran into a few soldier and shadow heartless on her way to the city but nothing else. As she drew closer to the city, she soon ran into dusks, snipers and dancer nobodies.
“Well fuck.” She mumbles casting friaga on the nobodies, that seemed to only take out the dusks. The dancers and snipers were not happy. Angel cursed under her breath and then casted thundaga on the dancers which caused them to die.  Angel smirked as she flew over the snipers and casting friaga once more they were gone, “That can’t be a good sign.” As she flew into the city, and she was right. Dusk, snipers, and shadow heartless were crawling all over the city.
“Fuck.” Angel curses again landing in the the car park, she didn’t want to fight but she didn’t have much of a choice. Right now she had to clear a path to find Iris, where ever she might be. Angel ran to where she had vague idea as to where the hotel was and that was where the most nobodies were. Crushing she hacked and slashed through the mess of snipers and dancers. She counter the snipers bolts and had to roll when the dancers were getting ready to kick her into the wall.
“Fuck this, fuck that.” Angel yell casting bio on the nobodies, the nobodies all winced but didn’t go down, right she held her keyblade above her head and moved quickly cutting down all who stood in her way. With a smirk she moved fast and to the hotel. The hotel was swarming with snipers and shadows, and standing outside must been iris.
Iris did have short dark brown hair, and brown eyes she wore a black and red short-sleeved hoodie, and a black and red tartan-pattern mini skirt with brown accents. She wore black heeled boots with red soles. She had on a leather choker and a necklace with a round black pendant. She wore two belts with a chain hanging from one attached to her skirt. She had red cord wrapped around her left wrist, and a leather bracer on her other wrist.
“KID STAY BACK!” Angel yells charging in and quickly slashing at the shadows who vanishing in a puff of smoke, the snipers readied there crossbows and shot at Angel. She held up her weapon and blocked the blots and shot them back at the nobodies,
“W-w-w-who are you?” Iris asks as more of the heartless came up from the ground,
“Look just call me sir for now, and get out here it’s not safe.” As a brave shadows leaped and attacked Angel, she was fast and slashed at it. “Kid?” Angel barks slashing as two more heartless came at her.
Iris shock her head, no she was an amicitia, and as one she didn’t run from a fight, she couldn't let her father or brother down, “I want to help!” And that is when it happened, a blinding light engluced Iris right hand and in it was a keyblade. Angel saw the light and casted blizzaga freezing the enemies in front of them. Angel was stunned, in the girl’s hand was a keyblade. It had be the same size as rumbling rose, the blade was white with red spots and the teeth did remind Angel of the claws found on rumbling rose, the guard was also white but Angel could make a pom-pom design and the keychain was a a red pom-pom.
“Well I’ll be fucked.” Angel states, “You can wield the keyblade.”
Iris was in shock, what was this weapon. “The key what?” She asks the balde felt heavy in her hands but not at the same time like it was made just for her.
“Welcome to the club kiddo, now follow my lead, that ice ain't going to hold them for long.” As Angel raised her keyblade ready to attack. Iris slowly nodded and did the same. Angel moved first and attacked fast enough that she took out the snipers and any other nobodies that popped up.
“Kid focus on the heartless.” Angel calls out, making quick work of the nobodies.
“The what?” Iris yells watching as the black bug things came crawling at her,
“Those things kill them.” Angel tells her dodging a bolt of energy. “It’s like weilding a sword.” Now that Iris understood, she took in a deep breath and attacked. Her movement were a little clunky and not as graceful as Angel but she was able to clear out the heartless.
“Well that was something.”Angel mutters coming over to iris dismissing her keyblade with a flick of the wrist.  Iris looked at her with fear in her eyes she held up the keyblade.
“Who are you? What were those things? Why were they attacking me like they did back when the city feel?” Angel cocked an eyebrow at iris she disarmed Iris in one fluid movement knocking the blade out of her hand and onto the ground.
“Name’s Sir, I’m going to be your new teacher from here on out.”  Iris was in shock and very afraid. The keyblade had appeared back in her hand.
“What do you mean my new teacher?”
“You can wield the keyblade not an easy feet. This is a powerful and dangerous weapon only a being of pure light can use it. And you were picked.” Angel explains sitting down on the steps on the hotel,  “If you want to get rid of it flick your wrist like so.” Angel tells her flicking her wrist.
“Oh thank you.” As iris did the same movement with her wrist and the blade was gone. Iris shifted from one foot to another biting her bottom lip looking at Angel, this was all of a sudden.
“So why?”
“Why what?” Angel asks cracking her shoulders.
“Why me?”
Angel lout a hum, “Who knows, you are pure of heart, you seem like a good person or maybe we need you. I’m one of the few masters left, besides me the king and yen sid, sora riku and her are not master they still need time. And now we have. You might be what we need.” Angel explains, “Good and evil, light and darkness. A balance must be kept.”
It made sense in a way to Iris, what she was saying. So this sir was a master and a teacher. And was willing to train Iris, what would Gladio say?
“IRIS!” Iris head snapped to where she heard her brother, well she didn’t have to wait long it seemed.
