Summary: You, the reader are the older sister of Bruce Wayne. And have been best friends with Jerome Valeska, since you first met each other at Haly's Circus during your youth. Due to being a Wayne, he was the first 'real' friend you ever had. But then one day, the friendship between the both of you changed. And you were sent overseas for your safety by your father. You haven't been back in Gotham since. But once you hear of your parent's murder, you know it's time to return and face your past once and for all.

The first time you had ever visited the circus, it was on your eleventh birthday. 

And unknowingly at the time, it was that specific event that ended up changing your life forever. It can be argued that it changed your life a bit for the better as well as for the worst. It was the day you met your very first TRUE friend, Jerome Valeska.

Being a member of the prestigious Wayne family, you were expected to mingle with your peers. A.K.A other children of Gotham's wealthiest; i.e, members of the 1%, celebrities, people involved in the law - along with the shadier parts of it. You had made some friendships with some of these children, but none of them were true friends. Where nothing was expected in return for the other's company and allegiance.

But Jerome...due to being born to a woman who worked in the circus, he had nothing to give other than his friendship and loyalty. And because you helped him get out of a situation that involved his angry Uncle Zach. He became your very first REAL friend.

The two of you become inseparable. One of you always running after the other.

The adults in your life found it endearing, and grateful. That after all this time, you had a friend like Jerome. So, your parents, being who they are - opened their arms and home to him. Whenever the circus was in town. After all, to those who cared to look - it was obvious, that Jerome wasn't treated very kindly by the people who took care of him.

By the two of you were fourteen, something in your friendship with Jerome had changed. Maybe it was because the two of you didn't spend as much time together anymore? Or maybe perhaps it was because you were an older sister now, with a nine-year-old brother? And he was jealous of Bruce and the close sibling relationship the two of you had? (One that infinitely much better than the one he shared with his own twin.)

Whatever the case, Jerome no longer acted the same around you. He became like an entirely different person. As if his entire personality was hanging on by a thread, and that he was just waiting for one bad day. To push him over the edge.

And then it happened.

He took things to far between the two of you. Confessed his feelings - which didn't bother you, since you realized, you had begun to have a crush on him yourself. Admitted to stalking you days before, he let you know he was back in town. Killed your pet cat and threatened to harm you or your brother. Jerome became unhinged and dangerous to be around.

It devastated not only you, but your parents as well. Who thought of Jerome as another son. (So much so, that he had his own dedicated bedroom in the manor at that point.) But because he went off the deep end, your parents were worried about the safety of both your brothers and your own wellbeing. And with a heavy heart, they had to make a tough decision.

After Haly's circus left Gotham that year to stick to their regular route, you also left. Your parents had decided to send you overseas to their family villa in Switzerland, for your own protection and safety. From one person who you thought you could trust.

It would be the last time you would see your parents, and your brother for many years to come.

Scenario: Reader(GN) is an ex psychiatris with the knowledge of some of the darkest and weirdest things ever from the GCPD and is now the hypnotic owner to a club called 'the Hard Knock', catching the eyes of some of Gotham's greatest criminals Characters: Riddler, Jerome, Jeremiah(after spray), Fish Mooney, Victor Zsasz, and Ivy(S4)

Riddler:

He recognize you, you and Edward worked together and once he started to turn up and notice you on the job.

he found interest in you, found intelligence behind your words… which could easily control anyone

after finding your club and the darkest corner of Gotham, and you standing on the stage as you sung; might I mention every man and woman also swooning for you… but more in the sense that it was more of them dazed

he realized that there were a few snapping out of it…

“hypnotism? Huh… they will be useful”

yeah, you could easily help him run Gotham

Jerome:

the least i can say is fasinated

this boy found you and a few men in the back of the club, them all being ordered around by you and it was amazing

very hot in his eyes

he then skipped on over and started to flirt, which honestly surprised you, but then you flirted back a bit

before walking away

"So, i see im gonna have some rivalry for you, huh?"

he said this pointing to the guest you had following you around mindlessly.

Jeremiah:

they way that you have built this empire of yours is interesting to him

and your ability to control people so easily, he first just thought they were simps

he would come to the club every week to watch you, and if you arent there, learn about you.

and after a while, you picked up on him watching and asked way?

"your ability to comand this room is incredible, and was here to ask if you would be willing to assist me in my plans for Gotham?"

Fish Mooney:

she heard that there was compatition and went to check it out and didnt regret a thing.

the decro was fun and eye pulling, the smells werent bad, the people there were easy

and you were entertaining

the way you had people of all kinds waiting on you hand and foot, made her a bit jealous

"So, they're the owner of this place? interesting, gonna have to have a word with her"

she wanted to take you under her wing, even if you were already flying.

Victor Zsasz:

He had been given a job and was told the man he was to kill was in your club

the first thing his eyes went to was you, and he was surprised

you were turning men who were about to fight you into them kissing the groung you walk on

you havent even spoken to him and he was following you around

"manipulative, dirty, bossy, and a bitch... my kind of person"

lets just say this isnt the last time he will flirt with you

Ivy:

She would have just been relaxing in the club when you stepped out

Eye's become focused on you as you speak and sing to people

she asked one of the workers who you are, and the response pleased her.

after you became free, she walked up to you to talk.

"I guess this club isnt so bad after all~"

Every second day she will greet you, obsessed with learning about you.

Hello and welcome to: Me psychoanalysing the Veleska twins

So in my Ap course right now we’re studying abnormal psych and we just recently touched on how genetics play a role in these abnormalities. And the one thing that stood out to me was....

Twins normally have a 70% heritability rate.

So, now that begs the question... Did Jerome have a psycho abnormality???

Well, there’s this disorder that is called Antisocial Personality Disorder, which is what psychopaths and sociopaths are categorized under. Normally, if a parent has the same disorder, then the offspring will have a high chance of developing it as well.

Now look at Jerome who began early by killing small animals, which is a big warning sign. Pairing that with his abusive family, that would basically “activate” the chemicals in his brain to release these tendencies and desires, pushing him to a breaking point.

Thus, making him into who he became.

And then we have Jeremiah.

There have been numerous twin studies that find the tendencies for this disease to be apparent in both. Yet, Jeremiah didn’t show these tendencies.

But, we also need to remember that Sociopaths use fake emotions to manipulate other people.

The whole time before Jerome’s death, he could have been pretending to be awkward and scared just to manipulate Gordon and Bruce to 1) let him continue his work without consequences and 2) Get the funds out of Bruce so he could expand his projects.

Then when Jeremiah is sprayed, he no longer has to put up that act. Jerome wanted to bring out the worse in Jeremiah, so he basically broke that wall of protection that was used to keep up the act.

At the end of season 4, Jeremiah demonstrates classic sociopathic behaviors:

No remorse

Stoicism

Relatively no emotion

So now you may be wondering: Why is Jeremiah showing more emotion and joy in season 5???

It is possible that with the situations and experiences that he went through, his sociopathic tendencies switched mainly to psychopathic tendencies.

So, in conclusion to this long and thought out post, the Valeska twins are prone to Antisocial Personality Disorder and were most likely given it to by their mother.
