most wanted faces i'm so indecisive
I feel you, honestly any of the face claims we have named under the skeletons are most wanted! I'll also list a few below. I do want to add that we're less worried about face claims and more so the character behind them, so we'll love whoever you decide to bring us! I realize a list is definitely helpful to choose from, though, so here are a few:
Anne Hathaway, Nicole Beharie, Priscilla Quintana, Laura Harrier, Tanaya Beatty, Isis Valverde, Sandra Oh, Tessa Thompson, Gemma Chan, Anya Taylor-Joy, Adeline Rudolph, Sofia Pernas, Diane Guerrero, Carla Gugino, Care Gee, Margot Robbie, Connie Britton, Elodie Yung, Zion Moreno, Zendaya, Michelle Yeoh, Malese Jow, Bianca Lawson, Adria Arjona, Greta Onieogou, Lesley Ann-Brandt, Ana de Armas, Sophia Bush, Constance Wu, Emmy Rossum, Maggie Q, Simone Ashley, Zoey Deutch, Rahul Kohli, Michael B Jordan, Daniel Henney, Pablo Schreiber, Oscar Isaac, Trevante Rhodes, Scott Eastwood, Tommy Martinez, Tyler Blackburn, Riz Ahmed, Alfonso Herrera, Wesley French, Henry Golding, Jason Mamoa, DJ Cotrona, Jon Bernthal, Mena Massoud, Lewis Tan, Charles Michael Davis, Theo James, Manny Montana, Mahershala Ali, Raymond Ablack, John Cho, Chris Evans, Daniel Dae Kim, Dev Patel, Sean Teale, Michael Trevino, J.D. They did a cut Rise scene on their Twitch last night, I wonder if it's still available to watch. Has anybody seen it?
Speaking of Rise cut scenes involving Michael, I just know there was one with Michael apologizing to Sasha after that abortion fight, with him telling her he was going to be by her side no matter her choice. Ellie mentioned this on IG years ago, saying it was the scene their parents saw filming as they visited the set.
Maybe on Twitch they did that?

One Year of Rise
So, it’s been one year since a beautiful tv show called RISE aired on television. Though it was short lived, I watched every episode of this show, as well as the understudies episodes, and savored every second.
The first time I saw Rise was in a YouTube ad, just as I was watching some mindless videos, and I was really interested in the show, so I reminded myself to go watch it when it aired. Down to my basement I went on that Tuesday, March 13, curled up under some blankets, excited to see this new show. I knew that Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote music for the show, and Hamilton producers produced it, as well as Auli’i Cravalho starring, so I knew I was in for something good. However what I found was not just something good, but something I fell in love with. I was hooked. Stanton was similar to my small town area, and Lou was very similar to my Director, constantly attempting to push boundaries (although my director knew when to stop—Lou clearly didn’t). I was in love, and I was heartbroken when the show was cancelled. I think I cried for a week? On and off? And all night the night I found out. Every time I thought about Rise, or scrolled through Instagram, I cried. Because it reminded me of a show that could have been as popular as Glee, but wasn’t. Because NBC hates musical television shows.
Rise made me laugh and cry, and made me feel attached to a show unlike any other had. I found a great community of like-minded people to talk to, and interact with, and although the discord isn’t active anymore, it is still in my memories as a part of Rise. I would have never made the friendships I did if it weren’t for Rise. They’re some of the weirdest, yet best and most entertaining friendships I have, and I don’t know what I do without them, because they’re just amazing and I love ranting to them about Rise or Spring Awakening or anything like that.
One year later, Rise is still extremely important to me. It gave representation for me on many fronts, representation for poc, as well as lgbt+ people. Despite only having ten episodes, Rise is still one of my favorite shows, and I constantly return back to them, watching specific episodes for certain scenes, like the parking lot scene or that scene in episode nine, or all the finale.
Not only that, it was a show about a high school doing a musical. In an accurate way. As much as I loved glee, it was...extreme at times, and where glee fell behind, Rise rose above (haha great pun). Plus, it was Spring Awakening, one of my favorite shows!
Though it’s been a year, Rise is still important to me. I can’t write anymore or I’ll cry, but if I could, I would, I promise.

You know how this looks right?
You know how canceling Rise looks on NBC, right?
Robbie and Lilette are two people of color and their relationship was interracial. They were the one healthy couple that knew how to communicate. There are kids out there with single parents and have to work along with their parent to make rent like Lilette. There are kids balancing sports and theater like Robbie.
Simon is a gay kid growing up in a catholic home. There are so many kids going through what Simon is going through. I myself am going through a very less extreme version of it. My friend went through the same thing. Jeremy is there for the ride, pushing him and helping him with his self discovery. These two characters are what young LGBT kids need!
And don’t get me started on the disrespect at Michael. This is the first trans character I have seen in a TV show, ever. He is played by a non binary actor, and the amount of disrespect this just aimed at the LGBT community is to much. Michael, for many, is the character they can relate to, because there is not many shows with such diverse representation. There are not many shows with trans representation.
There are many girls in high school going through what Sasha is, but without support. Sasha’s plot is important because there are girls in high school who are pregnant and not getting support. Sasha’s plot can help them maybe reach out to a trusted adult like Sasha did with Tracey.
The representation from the Philippines with Francis.
There is so much representation in this show it is a goddamn crime to cancel it.
I fucking hope this makes NBC look so shitty. They canceled Rise, then picked up Brooklyn 99 a day after it got canceled. They say it’s the ratings, as to why Rise couldn’t go on. AP Bio got half of what Rise got weekly and that got renewed.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
