湯♨️湯♨️白書 (Yu Yu Hakusho) is a pun with the title! The kanji "湯"can also be read as "Yu" and it means "hot bath/spring", different from the kanji "Yuu" (幽, ghost) and "Yuu" (遊, play) of the original title 幽☆遊☆白書 (Yuu Yuu Hakusho). It seems Elder Toguro shapeshifted into that bucket where the cat is relaxing.
Jalan.net, a travel reservation site operated by Recruit, released a new web commercial with Yu Yu Hakusho. Many characters from "Yu Yu Hakusho" experience the limited time sale "Jalan Special Week", which is offering discounts and coupons for accommodations.
The content was exclusively drawn and recorded for this WebCM. The story, narrated by Nozomu Sasaki like a Next Episode Preview, depicts Yusuke Urameshi and his friends, exhausted from the fierce battles of the Dark Tournament, taking advantage of limited-time sales and enjoying luxurious inns and hot springs.
Yusuke is having fun with Puu...
...and taking Keiko out for dinner.
Daddy Youko is killing it!
It seems hot water changes Youko back into Shuuichi! And, we finally get to see some Kurama skin!
Hiei is also enjoying a good hot spring, boiling an Onsen Tamago with his black flames...
...and watching over Yukina.
Kuwabara is too cute! I don't think this cat is Eikichi, maybe it belongs to the onsen.
OMG, Elder Toguro is almost naked!!!
Additionally, to commemorate this collab, a campaign will be held on Jalan's official X account, where you can win special hand towels. The period is from January 31 until February 8, 2024. All you'll need to do is follow their account and repost the target campaign post.
This art is so beautiful, we need a remake of the anime!
Thank you for voicing Urameshi Yusuke. The character and the series hold such a dear place in my heart and has helped me through difficult moments and also has taught lessons that I wouldn’t normally learn in my everyday life💚
You never know what you’ll find at Nakano Broadway! I’m always in search of mini discs from the 90′s from my favorite shows and seiyuu and was surprised to find this promotional one recently for the Yu Yu Hakusho 2 格闘の章 (1994) game on Super Famicon. It includes theme music from the game and audio from commercials featuring Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, and Yusuke’s voice actors.
My sister who's in college has this anime for studying in her syllabus!
The question that appeared in her test -
1. WHAT IS MANGA? 😍
I love this world ❤️ the university, the college ❤️ please by the time I get there please include mairuma in the syllabus. I'm so proud our university recognised this anime and manga. It's an achievement for us, the manga and the anime team including our beloved seiyuus.
The seiyuus are familiar! Mitsuo iwata who plays the role of Kaneda is Suzaku in Inuyasha and Arystrar krory in D gray man. Nozomu sazaki who's shima also played Yusuke in yu yu hakusho and mello in death note. Tessho Ganda (Ryusaku Ryu) also played Kurama in Naruto! Finally Takeshi kusao (Kai) played Bankotsu in Inuyasha.
At least I can count on Morikawa to upload pics with the other guys haha! Thanks dude! I like that they’re wearing similar outfits to their characters!
I know Fusion decided to do Bandori (DVHS edition) a while back, so could we have a followup? PJSK: DVHS! Four-person units plus a Vocaloid for each, featuring "you shouldn't technically be here" this time. - II
...I definitely didn't spend twenty minutes looking for this post
Dawn to Dusk:
Oshiro (leader), Matsumoto, Ikeda, and Saito
They focus a lot on composition more than anything else, and a lot of their music is said to be best played at night. That’s usually when they have the most time to work on it, too. They don’t really fit in any one genre, though, dipping their toes into everything.
Rin and Len would be their Vocaloids since I think it’d be a funny contrast between them arguing and Oshiro and Saito arguing.
Worldwide:
Ishikawa (leader), Nakamura, Yoshida, and Maeda
This group would probably focus on multilingual songs of all kinds, blending together different styles. Ishikawa of course knows lots of languages, Nakamura knows a bit of other languages, Yoshida’s just fun, and Maeda knows Russian!
Luka is their Vocaloid, since she’s known for being bilingual. I also think she would contribute to their chaos nicely.
Blossoming:
Hamasaki (leader), Fujimoto, Yasu, and Sasaki
They’re kind of like a traditional band like Leo/need, though a lot of their music is more calming. Fujimoto’s great with writing meaningful lyrics, though he doesn’t actually play with the rest of them. Hamasaki plays guitar, Yasu’s on percussion, and Sasaki’s on keyboard. All three of them trade off vocals.
Meiko is their Vocaloid, I think mostly because I associate these four with being more mature/older sibling-figures, kind of like how I think about Meiko.
On Your Feet:
Ueda (leader), Rikimaru, Abe, and Aoyama
They’re slightly more pop-focused, kind of in the realm of dance music. It’s surprising that Abe and Aoyama are part of the group in that regard, but the four of them work incredibly well together (barring some small bickering here and there).
Kaito is their Vocaloid, and I think he’d cycle between being a sort of mediator and contributing to their excellent vibes, haha.
Hey does anybody remember that Sonic The Hedgehog anime from the 90s? Because I only have these 3 screenshots + remembering Sonic was voiced by Nozomu Sasaki (Yusuke Urameshi in YYH) and Shadow was voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama (Hiei in YYH and Link in TLOZ: OOT)
The voice actors of Yusuke and Hiei, Nozomu Sasaki and Nobuyuki Hiyama, shared on their Twitter a video to promote the Yu Yu Hakusho Mini Figures. In the video, they are playing chess with the first mini figure collection released in 2022.
After so many years, it's good to hear their special techniques again: Reigan (Spirit Gun) and Jao Ensatsu Kokuryuha (Dragon of The Darkness Flame). It's also funny that Sasaki-san uses Kurama's figure to "checkmate".
Another very famous line from Hiei in Japan is: "It's an afterimage" (Zanzou da). He says that in the fight with Makintaro. He thought he had hit Hiei with his axe, but thanks to Hiei's great speed it was only his black robe.
Source: Chapter 78. "The Top Four!!"
In the video, Yusuke (Nozomu Sasaki) corners Hiei (Nobuyuki Hiyama) with three mini Yusuke figures, so Hiei thinks it's just an afterimage. How come there are three Yusukes? lol
Part 2 of the Bucchigiri feature in spoon.2Di vol. 107
Spreads are read from right to left and include an story review of episodes 1-6, an interview with Mahoro's VA (Anna Nagase), and interviews with Marito and Outa's VA's (Nozomu Sasaki and Ryouta Takeuchi).
Today is the 25th of January which is Nozomu Sasaki’s birthday!! 🥳🎉
Thank you for bringing so many of my favourite characters to life. I wish you the best for your career and I hope you stay happy and healthy. I will always be a fan of your work ♡
Tetsuo Shima was a member of a youth biker gang that roamed the streets of Neo Tokyo. A chance encounter with an escaped Esper patient resulted in powerful psychic powers awakening within him. These abilities grow to a level on par with that possessed by Akira, the child whose powers engulfed all old Tokyo in a psychic explosion years prior.
A trio of psychics feared that Tetsuo would similarly destroy the city and attempted to kill him. They failed and Tetsuo sought out the mysterious Akira going on to rampage through the city in search of him. The military tried in vain to stop him, fearing the threat of another Akira-sized disaster.
Upon finding the remains of Akira under Neo Tokyo's Olympic Stadium, Tetsuo began to lose control of himself and his abilities while confronted by the military, the Espers, and his former best friend, Kaneda. His psychic abilities overwhelmed him and he became a mutated mass of flesh. Akira, called by the Espers, reawakens and beckonned Tetsuo into an alternate dimension. The city was saved and what ultimately became of Tetsuo’s essence remained unknown.
Actor Nozomu Sasaki provided the voice for Tetsuo in the original animated feature; with actors Jan Rabson and Joshua Seth provided the English language dub. The tragic villain appeared in the 1988 movie, Akira.
