If you are STILL defending Elizabeth Olsen to this day, and that joke they try to pass off as Wanda Maximoff then I'm sorry for you. I simply would not die on the hill where an actress has shown herself to be racist several times, even after she was told TO HER FACE what she was saying was racist by a tv talk show host and this was recorded and released and she KEPT making racist remarks. It's clear Olsen views the Romani people as g*psies/a costume she can play her witchy fantasies in.

The constant erasure of Wanda's Romani & Jewish heritage by Olsen, the MCU and Marvel Comics, not to mention mcu Wendy's rabid fans who attack anyone who calls them out on their bullshit, all so 1 white actress can be "this witch chick is crazy and I think that's girl power" as representation instead of an actual Romani actress being given a chance to portray her people in one of the most high profile Romani characters ever created is disgusting to me personally.

So yeah. I am gonna celebrate MCU Wendy being dead. I don't care if they bring her back. I'm fucking glad they dropped a mountain on her and I find it hilarious.

MCU Wendy is a not a character, it's a caricature of Wanda Maximoff. I'm just glad MCU Pietro died a long time ago so I didn't have to see his character being dragged through the mud for years.

So you’re telling me that W*nda will go through multiverses and brutally murder people to get her kids back-kids that never even existed might I add-whilst also possessing an alternate reality version of herself, abducting a young girl to use her teleportation powers, and using magic irresponsibly by casting spells from a literal Necronomicon instead of going to an expert to help her control her powers so that she doesn’t hurt anymore people

She’ll hold an entire town of innocent men, women, and children hostage, whilst brainwashing them into sitcom roles, torturing them with nightmares of her trauma, locking kids in their rooms and not allowing their parents to see them, having the victims be so tormented that they’d rather die than live with the pain, and then also not even apologizing to them and try to save face by running away from her problems and saying that she ‘made them feel safe’-all to bring back her dead robot boyfriend

But for her twin brother-the guy she literally grew up-she ultimately forgets about his existence for years until mentioning him in her sitcom show and having a cry about before forgetting him once again cause her dead vibrator and nonexistent children are more important

On Narrative Bias

I keep saying it annoys me how Wanda has done so many evil ass things and is never held accountable for her actions, and it never fails that someone tries to respond with “but aren’t you a loki stan? He’s done evil shit too! So you have a double standard and are a misogynist!!!!” Yeah, no. The difference is that you can clearly tell who the writers have predetermined as a hero vs a villain. You can tell who they want you to root for. Loki’s actions are given narrative consequences as harsh as possible, while Wanda’s are narratively excused and softened and sympathised. Let me show you what I mean.

* Loki commits treasons, tries to kill his brother & attempts genocide -> Loki’s father rejects him while he attempts suicide

* Loki tries to conquer earth -> Loki is sentenced to life in prison

* Loki incapacitates the king and secretly takes the throne -> Loki is threatened with a hammer to the face, we’re reminded how awful he is by all the other characters for the rest of the movie & he would’ve faced more consequences if the apocalypse hadn’t interrupted

* Loki steals the tesseract from the vault -> Loki watches his brother be tortured & then has his neck snapped

Now compare that to…

* Wanda willingly signs up to work for a nazi organisation, tries to help an evil robot murder the avengers, intentionally sets the hulk loose on a town of innocent people, & helps destroy Sokovia for a lil while -> Wanda gets a fatherly pep talk from Clint & is immediately accepted as an Avenger

* Wanda accidentally murders a bunch of people while on a mission -> Wanda is put on temporary house arrest in a giant mansion with her boyfriend

* Wanda buries her boyfriend/teammate under like 10 floors of concrete, breaks out of house arrest, & goes against a government order -> the leader of the superhero team defends her, a grown ass woman, by saying “She’s just a kid!”, she’s detained in a government prison for like a week maybe (?) during which she’s shown as a sad helpless victim to encourage sympathy from viewers, & then she gets busted out by the ex-team leader & eventually gets to run off to Scotland with her boyfriend

* Wanda holds an entire town hostage & tortures them just to fulfil her own grief-fuelled fantasy -> one of the women Wanda attacked reassures her that she’s the actual victim in all this and that the people she tortured just have no idea what she’s sacrificed for them & she escapes to an isolated location to read a forbidden demon book and make herself more powerful without anyone interfering

* Wanda goes on a serial killing spree across the multiverse, kidnaps a child, holds her hostage, tortures her, & attempts to take her powers all so she can steal another Wanda’s children because she misses her children that were never actually real in the first place -> Wanda gets some badass power sequences and #girlboss one liners, is the one that destroys the demon book, essentially saving the multiverse from future corruption, & is allowed to die a hero’s death (which we all know isn’t permanent)

I’m doing a little costume analysis of wendys witch outfit and something that deeply bothers me is just the lack of trying in the costume.

Like, this is the concept art for Agatha

They actually tried making her look like a witch, a mythical, magical being. The different textures, the fabrics, the drama, it’s all there. Hell, I would have preferred some of these over the final look.

Now here’s wendys concept art

Boring, bland, and unimaginative, especially when compared to Agatha. A lot of the concepts for the costume just look like it was made to fill the art book. That red and black baggy look in the first picture? They actually considered putting her in that???

Even the concepts for the crown are boring, some just downright ugly. The book even confirms that the crown WAS 3D printed, which is why it looks the way it does.

It’s like for Agatha the designers focused on making her look dramatic and magical, but with Wendy they went with the most typical, bland look imaginable
