and so spring kisses my face ever so lightly, and flowers are blooming beneath my feet. busy, busy time ahead: good death-mother, woven into last year’s hay and wool, will burn and drown on this equinox, and the beloved dead will dine with me on the new moon.

A List of Crystal Springs FACTS That Have Been on ROTATE in my HEAD for the Past Few Weeks:
The Frosts are a HONDA family! Winter drives an HRV, Jacqueline drives a Fit, the family car is a Pilot
The cars are shrunk and are little keychains while in Crystal Springs!
The HRV and the Fit are BOTH blue
The Pilot is either RED or basic grey
Jack does NOT drive a Honda, he drives some kinda fancy sporty flashy car that is literally just for show. (Porsche? Mustang? Something along those lines)
Winter is the designated driver. Blaise likes being the passenger, or, as I have seen kids say on the INTERNET, the PASSENGER PRINCESS? PRINCESS PASSENGER?
Jacqueline's Fit is actually just my old Honda fit, Fitzy (rip bud you are MISSED 😥)
Jacqueline wears bike shorts under ALL her skirts/dresses. She quite enjoys people looking at her bare legs in -20 and lower weather and freaking out about it, adds DECADES to her life span
When Blinter first met they were kids and Blaise said "WOW YOU'RE SMALL" And Winter threw him right into a wall with a north wind. Pyros almost died of laughter. Blaise was smitten then and there
Jacqueline once impersonated Jack for reasons that are unclear to me as of yet but she has said involved robbery 🤔🤔
When Charlie becomes Santa she takes a turn as Jack Frost and steals Jack's vest about it
She rocks the vest

// Hello! Merry Christmas, and happy holidays!
As is custom, most of my time is currently spread thin between studying exams and spending time with family. Since I still intend to return to activity, I want to give a little headsup of what the plan is:
As I've said before, I want to make a new sideblog for Cayin's Elden Ring verse so that I can more comfortably explore its themes, interactions and aesthetics without it diluting the things I've been doing with his main verse. I think this may help kick things off in terms of returning to activity, and let people pick whichever setting they're most interested in.
Thing is, I've been going back and forth with the theme among other small details. My attention has also been horrendous, and while it's been getting better and I'm making progress in returning to my hobbies, it's still going more slowly than I'd like. I've been torn between making a quick placeholder for the blog (so that I can start things off without having to wait for these creative obstacles to be gone) or taking my time to ensure that this theme fits my ideas for the blog.
Since studies and family remain my focus, but I don't want to keep postponing this indefinitely, I'm going to wait at least until the Winter break is over, and potentially until the first batch of exams is done (so roughly until the middle of January) to make the blog. Whether it's a placeholder or something finished.
I may still do a thing or two here before then, depending on what my spare time allows. I've missed being around on this blog. Take care everyone, and as always, feel free to message me if you'd like to plot or simply chat.

That whole James somerton thing has been real interesting to me because I had never seen his "work" but I do find it baffling that anyone could listen to a white guy claim lesbians faced basically no backlash for their sexuality and that straight women have no idea what it was like to be treated as objects or a "purse" as he put it on account of that certainly isnt a White Gay man Only event. In fact women have several words for the way they're views as objects for men's pleasure, not that somerton would know anything about that in part because he never did any actual reading during his "research." But it does hearten me to know if I had come across his "work" I would have clocked it as shit because I know more about the subjects he talks about than he does and anyone who has no idea how shit lesbians were treated has no business speaking up on queer politics, especially when they're just going to use misogyny to play the victim like an instrument.
Hilarious that within 3 days of hbombs vid he bagged himself up and took himself out to the curb to be collected by the garbage people by nuking his entire channel though, that's very funny. (I mention a case about Little Sisters Bookstore in the tags, turns out I got the name right, that's what the link below is if you'd like to read Canada's supreme Courts website on the case!)

What if I randomly made a martynweek, what if one of these months I made an account, and it's just an event, hhmmmmm? What would you do then? Burn me at the stake? Participate? Submit prompt ideas? What if it was mirror birds? Hmmmm, Jimmy and martyn? Or what if I stuff redwood down your throat? What would you do then? Or last life week? Maybe even a week for the up coming life series if I like it enough? What if I started to poke the bear a little bit?

Don't forget about marketing during "Christmas in July", with items people will use during the colder months. The summer months are a great time to make your product stock for the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
This scarf photographed above was made with half double crochet (hdc) stitch only. I chained somewhere around 185 chains (ch). I used some 'anti-pilling basic stitch weight 4' yarn by Lion Brand in one of their blue shades.
I purchased 4 and went up to a 9mm size in hook so I could double up the yarn and crochet with two strands at one time. The scarf is large and made for adults.
If you're in the states, JoAnn's will have it for $3.99 for one, but I did get mine when they were on sale. I purchased in the blue shown above, a gray, an orange, and a green. They have a great selection of colors to choose from.
I find this acrylic yarn to be softer to work with, but I also have made scarves like this made with Red Heart. Red Heart sometimes feels as if it needs to be softened in the wash with fabric softener before wearing -- and it does feel bulkier, but I find it to be a good yarn for wearables as well (and definitely more on a budget).
Final touch was a tag I bought in bulk on Amazon (there are handfuls to choose from!) -- or you can have some of your own tags made to add to your scarves.
Happy Crocheting! 🍁❄️🧶
