Otoharu Takanashi: Exactly. You're both familiar with Rabitty-kun, the children's toy that took the world by storm some twelve years ago, yes?

Otoharu Takanashi: It was renewed and began its second run six years ago.

Riku Nanase: I remember Rabitty-kun! It was so popular when I was little! Ooh, ooh! I'm Rabitty!

Yamato Nikaido: The talking rabbit toys? We had at least three of those.

Mitsuki Izumi: Wow, gramps. You must've been a real Rabitty-kun superfan.

Yamato Nikaido: Superfan? Seriously..?

Mitsuki Izumi: Our parents only got us the one, so we had to take turns playing with it.

Iori Izumi: Right.

Riku Nanase: What's with the cool reaction, Iori? Didn't you like Rabitty-kun?

Mitsuki Izumi: Maybe he seemed scary to you because you were so little back then?

Riku Nanase: Do you know him, Nagi? It's possible that Rabitty-kun didn't ever land in Northmare.

Nagi Rokuya: OH, I do know him! I had a Rabitty Boy of my own once.

Nagi Rokuya: He could both sing and dance, and he enjoyed when I fed him carrots and pet his head.

Tamaki Yotsuba: S-same here! We had a ton of old toys at the orphanage, so we totally had one of those somewhere!

Nagi Rokuya: Rabitty Boy.

Riku Nanase: No, it's Rabitty-kun!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah, Rabitty-kun! What's he got to do with the show we're going on, anyway?

Otoharu Takanashi: Tsumugi-kun, would you mind explaining the rest?

Tsumugi Takanashi: ...For which they wanted to hold a big TV special where idol groups look back on their childhoods.

Tsumugi Takanashi: The chosen groups are IDOLiSH7, Re:vale, TRIGGER, and ŹOOĻ.

Tsumugi Takanashi: The show will feature not only Rabitty-kun, but many other children's toys and songs from the past.

Mitsuki Izumi: Wow! That sounds fun!

Yamato Nikaido: Are you sure our generational gaps won't get in the way? Take me and Tama, for example. We're a whole five years apart.

Tsumugi Takanashi: Speaking of which, you and Yuki-san are four years apart. That means he and Tamaki-san are nine years apart.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Whoa. He's basically old enough to be my dad.

Iori Izumi: Hush. Don't let him hear you say that.

Otoharu Takanashi: As part of the project, they've asked you to present your own childhood photos during the show.

Otoharu Takanashi: Do you all think you could do that? If it's too difficult, we can ask them to pass on you during that particular segment.

Mitsuki Izumi: It's no problem for me and Iori. What about you, gramps?

Yamato Nikaido: I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures to choose from... Even ones that don't show where I lived back then. What about you, Nagi?

Nagi Rokuya: But of course. I was all over Northmare's newspapers for a few weeks after I was born.

Yamato Nikaido: Sure, but do you have pictures you could actually use for the show?

Mitsuki Izumi: They're not so overly fancy that they'll ruin it for the rest of us, are they?

Nagi Rokuya: Hm... Very well, I shall select the most wonderful shot myself. And what of you, Riku? Will you have trouble preparing a photo?

Riku Nanase: I might have kind of a hard time. Especially if I accidentally pick a picture that's got both me and Tenn-nii in it.

Iori Izumi: Which you will not be doing, obviously.

Riku Nanase: Ugh, I can already tell that you're planning to pick a photo that matches Mitsuki's.

Iori Izumi: I'm not trying to be smug about it, you know.

Riku Nanase: I wonder which photo Tenn-nii will choose. We'll have to meet up and talk about this.

Banri Ogami: Are you sure you can all manage? Especially you, Tamaki-kun and Sogo-kun...

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ah, um... Yeah, probably!

Tamaki Yotsuba: Why would anyone gag an innocent bunny toy?

Sogo Osaka: You're the one who said he couldn't open his mouth... In any case, I'll try and get a hold of someone who might know about my pictures.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Like that housekeeper?

Sogo Osaka: Yes... They might help me, so long as they haven't resigned yet... What will you do?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I'm gonna ask the director. Pretty sure the orphanage's got at least some pics of me. Are you gonna call them right now?

Sogo Osaka: That was my plan.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ok, I'll go call from my room then.

Sogo Osaka: Alright. Goodnight.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Mmh... But I might come back if my call doesn't work out.

Sogo Osaka: That's fine. We can figure this out together.

Sogo Osaka: You're back. How did it go?

Sogo Osaka: My attempt didn't go too well, either. Apparently only my father has access to any of our pictures. The housekeeper had no idea what has become of them.

Tamaki Yotsuba: They had pictures of me, but I'm too old in all of them. Like, thirteen and up.

Sogo Osaka: They had pictures of you when you were thirteen?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yeah.

Sogo Osaka: Did they send you any?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Nope. The director doesn't know how smartphones work. Why, did you wanna see 'em?

Sogo Osaka: A little bit...

Tamaki Yotsuba: Heh. I think I looked pretty cool back then.

Sogo Osaka: I think you were probably more cute than cool. You were only thirteen, after all. I just wanted to see a version of you that isn't taller than me.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Well I wanna see how you looked when you were little, too. Like, do you even look anything like that now?

Sogo Osaka: I should hope so, since they are pictures of me.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Heh.

Sogo Osaka: I know, it's pretty funny. In any case, I did find one good lead.

Tamaki Yotsuba: What kinda lead?

Sogo Osaka: One of my father's coworkers does photography for a hobby. He should have taken a picture of me with my uncle.

Sogo Osaka: He's someone very important, so his photos should have survived even after my father got rid of every photo of my uncle.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Your dad must really love throwing pictures away.

Sogo Osaka: I can almost sympathize with him... I wouldn't want to be reminded of such a completely and utterly ruined relationship.

Tamaki Yotsuba: So if MEZZO" disbands, you're gonna delete all your pictures with me in them?

Sogo Osaka: ........

Tamaki Yotsuba: You can't get rid of all of them, though. They're all over the world, in magazines and stuff.

Tamaki Yotsuba: So you're gonna be reminded of me no matter what. Tough luck.

Sogo Osaka: ........ ...That's true.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Ah, that reminds ME!!!

Sogo Osaka: W-what!?

Tamaki Yotsuba: I knew an uncle who took pictures of us, too!

Sogo Osaka: An uncle who took pictures...

Tamaki Yotsuba: Mom liked the family portrait that uncle took so much, she kept it near our TV.

Tamaki Yotsuba: We put that picture in her casket when she died, but if that uncle's got the original data, then he can make another one.

Sogo Osaka: True. Do you know where this uncle lives?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Nope... But Re:vale might.

Sogo Osaka: Re:vale?

Tamaki Yotsuba: Yep. What about you? Can you call that guy who works with your dad?

Sogo Osaka: I don't have the connections to just go talk to him. But I know someone who does.

Tamaki Yotsuba: Who? Ah... You mean that dude?

Sogo Osaka: Why do you look so upset? He's not that bad. Not anymore, at least.

Tamaki Yotsuba: I dunno. He still looks like an evil rich guy to me.

Anime i’ve Watched

That begin with a Y!

Yep this is how i’m going to bring over all the anime and manga i’ve watched and posted about on the old blog. It’s not so detailed but it will have to do. Anything new I watch or read from this point on will have their own posts.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU):

Genres: Slice of Life, Comedy, Drama, Romance, School

Synopsis: Hachiman Hikigaya is an apathetic high school student with narcissistic and semi-nihilistic tendencies. He firmly believes that joyful youth is nothing but a farce, and everyone who says otherwise is just lying to themselves. In a novel punishment for writing an essay mocking modern social relationships, Hachiman's teacher forces him to join the Volunteer Service Club, a club that aims to extend a helping hand to any student who seeks their support in achieving their goals. With the only other club member being the beautiful ice queen Yukino Yukinoshita, Hachiman finds himself on the front line of other people's problems—a place he never dreamed he would be. My Thoughts: Apparently I really enjoyed this series when I originally watched it. That being said, I recently tried to start the third season and called it quits about half an episode in because it just wasn’t doing anything for me and I found Hachiman questionable. I have no idea what you should take from this comment.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!):

Genres: Romance, Comedy, Drama, Slice of life, school

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku picks up immediately after the events of the first season, continuing the adventures of the Volunteer Service Club—the dispassionate Hachiman Hikigaya, the cheerful Yui Yuigahama, and the competitive Yukino Yukinoshita—as it dedicates itself to helping any student with issues that they may face. With the rift among his own group widening, Hachiman begins to realize that his knack for quickly getting to the root of other people's troubles is a double-edged sword: sometimes the best solution is not necessarily the most appropriate one. Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland)

Genres: Sci-fi, Mystery, Horror, Psychological, Thriller, Shounen

Synopsis: Surrounded by a forest and a gated entrance, the Grace Field House is inhabited by orphans happily living together as one big family, looked after by their "Mama," Isabella. Although they are required to take tests daily, the children are free to spend their time as they see fit, usually playing outside, as long as they do not venture too far from the orphanage—a rule they are expected to follow no matter what. However, all good times must come to an end, as every few months, a child is adopted and sent to live with their new family... never to be heard from again. However, the three oldest siblings have their suspicions about what is actually happening at the orphanage, and they are about to discover the cruel fate that awaits the children living at Grace Field, including the twisted nature of their beloved Mama. Finished airing in 2019 with a total of 12 episodes.

My Thoughts: An intriguing premise with interesting characters and nice art. Plus I just love when things suddenly take a disturbing turn... as long as it’s done well and not just played for straight up shock value. Looking forward to the next season.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches):

Genres: Harem, Mystery, Comedy, Supernatural, Romance, School, Shounen

Synopsis: When Ryuu Yamada entered high school, he wanted to turn over a new leaf and lead a productive school life. That's why he chose to attend Suzaku High, where no one would know of his violent delinquent reputation. However, much to Ryuu's dismay, he is soon bored; now a second year, Ryuu has reverted to his old ways—lazy with abysmal grades and always getting into fights. One day, back from yet another office visit, Ryuu encounters Urara Shiraishi, a beautiful honors student. A misstep causes them both to tumble down the stairs, ending in an accidental kiss! The pair discover they can switch bodies with a kiss: an ability which will prove to be both convenient and troublesome. Learning of their new power, Toranosuke Miyamura, a student council officer and the single member of the Supernatural Studies Club, recruits them for the club. Soon joined by Miyabi Itou, an eccentric interested in all things supernatural, the group unearths the legend of the Seven Witches of Suzaku High, seven female students who have obtained different powers activated by a kiss. My Thoughts: Pretty girls everywhere and a few pretty guys. Loved the opening and the dreamy sort of art. The art throughout wasn’t bad either. Wasn’t overly impressed with the anime itself but certainly didn’t hate it. Also has an OVA for those interested.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge:

Genres: Comedy, Shoujo

Synopsis: Ever since her crush rejected her by insulting her appearance, Sunako Nakahara has been a shut-in with a hatred for beauty, embracing all things morbid and occult-related. She is sent to live in her aunt's mansion which, to her dismay, she'll share with four exceedingly handsome boys her age. Furthermore, her flighty aunt has made a deal with these boys that in exchange for living there rent-free, they are to turn Sunako into a proper lady by the time she returns from a trip around the world. Thus begins Sunako's hectic life with abrasive Kyohei Takano, ladies' man Ranmaru Morii, calm Takenaga Oda, and friendly Yukinojo Toyama. As she interacts with them she finds them less obnoxious, and she may not be as much of an outcast as she thought. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Thoughts: One of the very first animes I watched and I absolutely loved it. The style, the atmosphere, the comedy, the characters, all of it!

Yuri!!! On Ice:

Genres: Comedy, Sports

Synopsis: Reeling from his crushing defeat at the Grand Prix Finale, Yuuri Katsuki, once Japan's most promising figure skater, returns to his family home to assess his options for the future. At age 23, Yuuri's window for success in skating is closing rapidly, and his love of pork cutlets and aptitude for gaining weight are not helping either. However, Yuuri finds himself in the spotlight when a video of him performing a routine previously executed by five-time world champion, Victor Nikiforov, suddenly goes viral. In fact, Victor himself abruptly appears at Yuuri's house and offers to be his mentor. As one of his biggest fans, Yuuri eagerly accepts, kicking off his journey to make it back onto the world stage. But the competition is fierce, as the rising star from Russia, Yuri Plisetsky, is relentlessly determined to defeat Yuuri and win back Victor's tutelage.

My Thoughts: The series that spawned a million pieces of fan art, fiction and merchandise. The figure skating anime.... who hasn’t heard of this one. Pretty enjoyable series in my opinion with an excellent opening and lovable characters. Too short though.

Top 10 Romance Anime

10. Tonari no kaibutsu-kun

A classic and actually the anime that got me into the anime univers😊The Story follows a girl named Shizuku Mizutani Who is an apathetic girl and the only thing she cares for are her grades she meets a Boy,Haru Yoshida, a violent troublemaker and her life changes dramatically. If you Like rom-coms you will enjoy this one!

9. Kuragehime

Kuragehime is the Story of a girl named tsukimi kurashita who is obsessed with jellyfish (she is a jellyfish otaku). She lives with five other unemployed otaku women and spends her days as a social outcast dreaming of becoming an illustrator. One Day she meets a "beautiful woman". From then on,the woman—confident, fashionable, and the complete opposite of Tsukimi and her roommates—begins to regularly visit the girls' building.But"she" isn't really a girl at all, but a wealthy male college student named Kuranosuke Koibuchi! A really cute story with an interessting and unusual male lead.

8. Say I love you

Gosh I felt so in love with this one. Say i love you is at first a story about self acceptance and trusting others.

"Friends will only let you down" that is the sad truth Mei Tachibana lives with, ever since she was wrongfully blamed for the death of a class pet by her"friends" in grade school. Since then, she stays away from people in order to avoid ever being hurt again. However, a misunderstanding in high school causes her to encounter popular student Yamato Kurosawa. Yamato finds her intriguing and insists on being her friend, even though Mei turns him down all the time. But then a dangerous situation ends with Yamato saving Mei from the unwanted attention of a stalker..

7. Soredemo sekai wa utsukushi

The anime may seem a bit weird at the Begining but it is so good and the soundtrack is amazing too! The Story is about a girl Named Nike Remercier the princess of the Rain dukedome and a young Boy named Livius Ifrikia who is the king of the Sun Kingdom's.Livius decides to marry Nike.However, those outside the Sun Kingdom have spread a rumor that Livius is a crueland tyrannical ruler, and as word reaches the princess, she begins to prepare herself for the worst. But when she finally meets her fiancé, Nike discovers that he is an entirely different person from what she originally expected.

The Main Girl is a hillarious Queen

naive 16 year old Kyouko Mogami works hard to support the career of her childhood friend and crush Shou. One day, she finds out that her beloved Shou sees her as nothing but a free servant. heartbroken and enraged, she vows to take revenge on him by entering the world of entertainment herself. Another classic rom-com anime

Koizumi Risa and Ootani Atsushi are both searching for their ideal partner in high school—172 cm tall Koizumi is much taller than the average girl, and Ootani is much shorter than the average guy at 156 cm. To add to their plights, their crushes fall in love with each other, leaving Koizumi and Ootani comically heartbroken. To make matters worse, they're even labeled as a comedy duo by their homeroom teacher due to their personalities and the stark difference in their heights.

Inu x boku SS centers around Ririchiyo Shirakiin the sheltered daughter of a renowned who decides to move into Maison de ayakashi .Each inhabitant of the Maison de Ayakashi, including Ririchiyo, is actually half-human, half-youkai and everyone has to be accompanied by a Secret Service agent. Ririchiyo's new partner, Soushi Miketsukami, is handsome, quiet but clingy and reeeaaaally submissive. With Soushi, her new supernatural neighbors, and the beginning of high school, Ririchiyo definitely seems to have a difficult path ahead of her.

Actually i don't wanna give a description to this anime bc I think that this is such a classic and such a great romance story that everyone who likes romance anime should watch it. Trust me you won't regret it.

I admit it was just last year when I watched Chihayafuru S1 and S2. I know that most of the people have watched it a fee years ago and waited another few years for the Season 3 but I think those who really love this anime ever since it first aired, I think we all feel the same right now about how the final episode of the third season and HOW it ended like that.

In gogoanime site, a lot of people are commenting about "Taichi deserves better" , "Taichi has the most character development " AND why "Taichi is the most hated or the character they don't like" arguements and RIGHT NOW, I'm just gonna go in the corner and sulk because another anime which is a masterpiece just ended and I WOULDN'T even want to talk about those comments anymore since there are some points in their arguments that are true or valid but Let's just all wait for like another 6 years or so for the 4th season. While the manga is already in the peak or at its climax, I just hope that they all have a happy ending that they deserve and satisfying for all of us.

Although I won't hide the fact that I'm in the Chihaya x Taichi ship (still hoping that it will sail), Well I'll gladly accept if the author decides for Arata since MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE LOVES AND ROOTS FOR HIM 😶 (No hate seriously) but I just Also Hope that Chihaya develops into a more promising MAIN CHARACTER aside from being or not being the Queen of Karuta.

I mean I just want her to realize what she really wants to be or what career she wants to take aside from winning against Shinobu. Although we don't know if that will be shown in the later chapters or will simply focus on her dream related to karuta since it is in the title after all.

Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just ranting that's all.

(I'm sorry if it's too specific ajdhdhdjs i love these two so much 😭💕😭💕😭💕)

“I still think this is a bad idea.”

Being a member of the Armed Detective Agency entails a lot of public service work. You constantly have to help out civilians with things that may be disturbing to their daily lives. Kind of like the police or firefighters, which means odd jobs like searching for cats, helping kids out of a tree (that’s mostly the firefighter’s duty but there were… certain circumstances once), entertaining people at parties ( some abilities are really cool) to your usual stopping thug fights, catching thieves and protecting the civilians jobs.

But, them being a detective agency, means that they also have to do a lot of secretive work. After all, protecting civilians also includes making sure no one of the underground can harm them. Those kinds of jobs entail a lot of fights with the black market and different shady organizations.

They also entail undercover missions.

And Atsushi hates them.

“My, my, Satoshi-kun,” drawls his mentor, sweeping some of his brown hair to the side, “you’re doing quite well though.”

He stiffens at the use of his fake name and sighs. It’s not like he doesn’t understand why they are doing this or that he’s not able to pull his fake identity off. It’s just…

“Also you look really cute in a suit, Sa-to-shi-kun.”

… Dazai is a horrible partner when working undercover.

The other has been relentlessly teasing him for the three hours they were there now.

"Seriously, Will you stop, Kurosawa-san."

"First name basis, Satoshi-kun," his partner reminds him and Atsushi can't help but roll his eyes.

"Of course, my mistake, Masao-san."

Dazai has the audacity to pout at him.

"Eh, won't you drop the honorific at all?"

He shakes his head at the other's childish behavior before looking up at the sound of a voice.

"You two are sure lively," the newcomer says.

Ah, right, he muses, we are still on a mission.

With a smile, he nods at the newcomer and lets Dazai speak for them.

"Of course, Yamato-sama! Satoshi-kun is, after all, my most beloved pet~"

"I'll cut your dick off, Masao-san," he mutters in reply and Yamato lets out a small laugh whilst Dazai pouts at him once again.

"My, my, you two are quite the pair."

Atsushi really doesn't know how to feel about having a mafia boss compliment his relationship with Dazai. It’s not exactly a day-to-day situation either.

Dazai drops his arms around Atsushi and leans his chin on the younger’s head, smiling brightly at the mafia boss.

“Why, thank you!”

Atsushi really doesn’t want to be there but alas, that’s his job.

After a small conversation with them, Yamato bid them goodbye and left to talk with his other guests. God bless, Atsushi’s been really getting annoyed with the man side-eyeing him the whole time.

Dazai stares intently at him before grinning. “Just checked, you’re still as cute as always!”

Atsushi wants to go home badly.

He looks to the side, trying to hide his red cheeks from the other. God, does Dazai not feel embarrassed at all?

“My, my, Satoshi-kun! Don’t avert your beautiful eyes from me.”

“Shut up…,” he grumbles, sighing.

At least they were done soon.

“I’m getting some fresh air,” he tells the other, raising his voice a bit, before walking towards the balcony.

And then Atsushi waits.

A few minutes pass before Yamato arrives in front of him, documents clutched in his hand.

“Sa-to-shi-kun, “ the mafia boss greets him. “I got your documents.”

He smiles at the other.

“Thank you,” he says, grabbing the documents and looking through them.

“No problem,” the mafia boss waves him off, smiling slightly. “Though seriously, all those other people are irritating. Their manners are terrible.”

Atsushi shakes his head fondly. “Well, they are going to be outright horrible tonight then.”

And in exactly that moment, the speakers turn on.

“Hello, hello~” Dazai’s voice echoes in the whole building, “oh my! It seems like someone stole the treaty documents! Who could it have been…”

Soon after, they can hear shouting from the inside and a lot of loud sounds.

“I told my men to back off and leave,” Yamato tells him. “Not gonna risk my people over some stupid debate and trust issues.”

Atsushi nods at that. One of the few reasons the agency actually gets quite along with Yamato is because he’s admirable in a sense and has a strong code of honor.

“I’ll be leaving then. Take care on your way out, Sa-to-shi.”

What does everyone have with his fake name? He waves at the other as the man disappears and waits for a few minutes before Dazai appears beside him.

“Hmm, the sound of chaos. Isn’t it lovely?”

“Self-destruction is a sad way to go,” Atsushi responds.

“Well, they are quite the fools, so…”

He sighs, staring at Dazai. “Can we go now?”

“We can! But before we go…”

Atsushi’s eyes widen as he feels lips against his own. The other breaks contact for a moment and smirks at him, an odd glint in his eyes.

“I’ve been flirting with you the whole evening and you wouldn’t say anything. But the moment Yamato appears you start talking? Don’t you love me, A-tsu-shi?”

Before he can even think about responding, Dazai resumes the kiss and bites down. Atsushi gaps at the pain and the other use that opportunity to slide his tongue into his mouth. Atsushi has to lean himself against the railing, trying to stabilize his balance as a hand grabs at the other’s jacket.

Eventually, Dazai ends the kiss and licks his lips, still smirking.

“You taste like green tea. What else did I expect?” he teases him but Atsushi can’t register the words because holy shit, Dazai just kissed him—

“I… I didn’t read the signs wrong, did I?”

The weretiger blinks and stares at the other, noting the hidden concern in the brown eyes.

“No,” he mutters, shaking his head slowly, “... you didn’t misread them at all.”

The smile he gets in response is blinding.

“Well, then let’s go and leave before things escalate way too much.”

Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy

I watched an episode of this every week alongside watching ‘Mairimashita! Iruma-kun’ but I didn’t think I’d like it so much that I wasn’t able to do individual episode posts like I did the latter.

I only heard about this anime’s existence on tumblr, got intrigued and found out it was originally a Vocaloid song that got an LN and now an anime adaptation and quickly watched it cause Muse Asia also uploads it on their yt channel.

The series ended last week on it’s 11th episode (yeah, not even 12th which is sad cause I thought I still at least have a week before saying goodbye to this show) so now I thought of posting my thoughts on it. The few character screenshots I took were from the last episode as a result.

The Story:

Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy’ is about Hijiri Mizuki, a transfer student, who got recruited by the school’s Hero Club much to her dismay. She wanted to live a peaceful life but the memebers of the club she got dragged into are all chuunibyou and they’re convinced she’s one of them. Now called ‘Pink’, she goes on various little misadventures with the gang as they fulfill certain request from many different people.

The Characters:

Hijiri Mizuki - Our heroine - called ‘Pink’ by the others, especially Noda. She reluctantly joins the Hero Club who would drag her along in their missions. She loves puzzles and want to live peacefully and is often exasperated with the weird antics of her clubmates. Being the only ‘sane, non-chuuni’ member of the club, she acts like the audience surrogate and is the POV character of the series. She may or may not have actual special powers.

Noda Yamato - the team leader and calls himself ‘Red’. The loudest and most enthusiastic member of the group who thinks of himself as a hero. He calls everyone by their color-based codenames that he assigned himself. He is very athletic (like really athletic) and uses his skills to help people. He’s kind and friendly but has trouble accepting a ‘no’ from people he wants to recruit in their club (like Mizuki and Futaba)

Takashima Tomoki - takes up the codename ‘Yellow’ and is a pretty boy who could’ve been popular with girls except even though he does have a bit of narcissistic streak, he doesn’t do well talking to real girls and has already devoted his heart, soul, and entire wallet to his waifu ‘Sora-chan’. He’s one of the least chuuni member of the group and can hold normal conversations with others unless it’s about his beloved Sora-chan then he won’t stop being a fanboy and would associate things with her. He’s nice and wouldn’t hesitate in joining whatever antics the other members get into and would go along with their fantasies.

Nakamura Kazuhiro - is dubbed ‘Black’ and the most in deep with his chuunibyou self. He calls himself and prefers to be called ‘Ryuushouin Touga’ and believes he’s reincarnated from a guy who was a half-demon, half-angel hybrid who has a strong power he must repress or it would mean chaos. The manner in which he talks, the way he describes anything, and his poses and what he trained his pet bird to say is a part of his chuunibyou self.

Tsukumo Rei - ‘Purple’. Thinks of himself as a schemer and would often act like he’s a badass and mysterious loner but in reality, he’s easily scared and he’s good at houseworkand cares about their cat Benjamin. He also enjoys being in the club despite his loner attitude (that is just a chuunibyou act). He can be easily persuaded to do things through either scaring him (like his what his sisters do) or through flattery (like telling him he’s totally the only one who can do this certain thing). He usually ends up arguing with Futaba once he joins in their group.

Mikuriya Futaba - ‘Green’. The last member to join in the Hero Club. He’s good at a lot of things and with his cool and aloof personality he easily became popular with girls at their school. He transferred from overseas and as such, he peppers his sentences with English words. He might not act like a chuunibyou but he has his own secrets. He does enjoy doing club activities though and would often get in an arguement with Rei.

My Thoughts:

Okay, so when I looked this up before when it’s still on it’s first week, everyone says it’s a ‘reverse harem’ as it does have the beginnings of one - lone female MC joining an all boy’s club and they’re all good-looking. I expected as such, too but as weeks passed by, I realized it’s not happening. The romance is nearly non-existence with the exception of a few ship tease scenes with a few characters but they’re not really put into focus. The entire show is them all building their friendship with each other especially in the case of Mizuki and Futaba who are both transfer students and the last to join the group. Also, Tomoki only loves Sora-chan lol.

I really liked this show though. Yeah it’s cringy when you watch them acting all weird but it’s not as bad as other shows which also relies on cringe comedy and the reason why is that, to me, what causes most of the ‘pain’ isn’t the embarrassing thing the characters do but the reaction from people around them. Seeing them humiliate themselves is painful and funny to watch but here, there isn’t that as many of the other characters outside the Hero club are used to their chuunibyou actions that they don’t really get a big reaction anymore except from Mizuki who is new.

Also, I expected them to fail or at least cause more trouble than they are able to help when fulfilling requests as in what happens to other shows with quirky characters but here, the only ones they trouble are themselves because they usually go too over the top. They don’t really cause much trouble with everyone else (except that one time at the temple and what I feel is irrational disapproval from the student council) and everyone in and out of their school is thankful for their existence and appreciates their help - I mean, it’s obvious with them getting a bunch of request asking for help from not just students but other people in town which wouldn’t continue if people viewed them as a nuisance which isn’t the case at all.

It’s really fun to watch though - their personality and the way they show their chuunibyou-ness is funny and seeing them slowly becoming real friends (with Mizuki and Futaba’s cases esp.) or showing that they really are friends despite the way they act (esp. in Rei’s case) is heartwarming. I wish I had friends like these in school back then, actually. I mean they’re accepting of how weird you are and overall they just have fun! Them also showing enthusiasm when people ask them for help and them wanting to be able to do so is also nice to watch.

It’s just really cute at times, too!! Futaba speaking in English can feel strange at times and the hints about Mizuki probably having real powers is interesting and Rei doing housework is cute. I’d watch a season 2 if they’d ever make one. There’d be an OVA next year, I hear so I’d probably make a post on that once I watch it.

The theme song is the Vocaloid song created by rerulili with the same name as the title of the show which is where the entire thing originated from but the ones singing are the voice actors for the Hero club (if you search it up on yt, someone had already posted the full version or you can listen to the original one sung by Kagamine Len or the various cover versions that accumulated for years sung by many utaite). The ending song is also a nice and more peaceful song compared to the upbeat OP.

It’s kinda sad this show doesn’t have many fans unlike many shows from this season. I also saw that there were those who dropped it after episode 1. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea but if you’re into comedy, friendship, and could tolerate chuunibyou weirdness then I recommend you try this show at least!

Natural Progression (Chapter 7)

Chapter 7

Sakura ran through the rooftops. It felt good to be able to soar high in the sky. It made it seem like she could fly, could do anything even. As she looked around, she noted that Konoha's rebuilding seemed to be progressing very well, with most of the skeletons of structures destroyed from Pein's attack re-erected. Only some finishing touches were needed, and Konoha would look as if it had never been attacked.

"Yamato-taicho!" Sakura greeted the man sitting on the rooftop.

"Ah, Sakura-chan," Tenzo turned around to wave at her. Sakura's smile dropped immediately as her heart leapt to get throat.

"Taicho! You shouldn't work yourself to death like this. It was bad enough that Kakashi-sensei scares me half to death on a regular basis, I don't need you to do the same," she admonished as she immediately went to replenish his chakra supply.

"Well, it's an honour to be compared to senpai.." Tenzo began, but quickly shut his mouth at the deathly glare Sakura was giving. Tenzo was a smart man. So he knew that keeping quiet and nodding appropriately was the best option he had.

"Well, you're all done now, Taicho. Please refrain from overusing your chakra in the future. I know Naruto's running around, please just grab him and get him to transfer you some chakra."

"Noted, thank you, Sakura-chan," Tenzo said with a smile. "Are you going to a party? That's a lot of ice cream and goodies right there."

"Ah.. I'm just going to Ino's to keep her company. Her father's death still affected her really badly."

"Please send my condolences for her too. Inoichi-san was a great man."

"I will," Sakura replied. "By the way, I'm planning to have a gathering soon with team 7 members. You have to come along."

"But I'm not a part of team 7."

"You are. You and Sai both are," Sakura said firmly. "I haven't managed to track down Sai since I'm still busy at the hospital. But if you see him, would you please let him know too, Taicho?"

"Will do, Sakura-chan."

Sakura gave Tenzo one last smile as she leapt through another building. Ino first, and then she'll worry about dragging her teammates to sit down together through a meal.

"Ah, Sakura-chan," Ino's mother greeted as Sakura landed in front of Ino's house.

"Oba-san," Sakura replied as she gave the older woman a hug. "How's Ino?"

"She hasn't came out of her room. And she barely eats," Ino's mother said as she shook her head sadly.

"I'll do my best to drag her out of bed," Sakura joked weakly. "How are you holding up?"

"It's hard, but I'm a kunoichi of Konohagakure. I have been prepared for this to happen the day I married Inoichi. I understood my duty to my family and the village."

"Yes, of course," Sakura replied. Although Ino's mom spoke with such poise, Sakura could see the sorrow in her eyes. She just lost her husband after all. "Well, my mom is in town for a while. I think she would be happy to have company over tea."

"Thank you, Sakura-chan," Ino's mother replied kindly as she drew Sakura into another hug. "I'll be on my way to the flower shop first. It's going to be a busy day as we are having the funeral procession tomorrow."

"I'll do my best to drag Ino to help you," Sakura promised. "But if she's still not up to it, I'll come along to help. I'll bring some friends over too."

"That would be lovely. Thank you, Sakura-chan," Ino's mother said as she released Sakura from the hug.

Sakura watched as Ino's mother disappeared from her line of sight as she quietly made her way into Ino's house. She set down grocery bag she brought on the coffee table before making her way up to Ino's room.

"Ino," Sakura called out softly as she stood in front of her door. There was no answer, but Sakura could hear the rustling of sheets. "I'm coming in, Ino," she tried once more. When there wasn't any answer, Sakura gently opened the door.

Ino was lying in bed, cocooned inside her blanket. Sakura made her way towards Ino's bed and sat on its edge as she gently ran her hand through her hair.

"It still hurts, Sakura," Ino rasped as tear began to trickle out of the corner of her eyes. Sakura's heart broke for her best friend. Sure, she did not know how it felt losing a parent, but when Sasuke left it had hurt her and left her numb for weeks. And at the time, she knew that he was still alive and that there was hope of him coming back. She couldn't even begin to imagine how Ino was feeling.

"I'm sorry for your loss. I really am, and I don't know what to say or do to make it better," Sakura admitted quietly as she knelt down beside Ino's bed to be at eye level with her.

"At least you're not telling me that it will get better with time," Ino said bitterly as she sat up. "I know it's true, Kami, I hope it's true. But it still hurt so fucking bad right now. I don't need to hear it!"

Sakura nodded her head, just listening to what the blonde had to say. Ino then drew her beloved bunny stuffed toy and hugged it close. It was the first stuffed toy Inoichi had gotten her, and Ino said that she had the bunny since before she could remember anything. As the silence stretched, Ino huffed and patted the space beside her. Sakura complied and sat beside her best friend as Ino laid her head on Sakura's shoulder.

"Can you believe that the elders came right after I got home, before I could cry in my mom's arms and demanded that I started the training to take over as the clan's head?" Ino said seethingly as she chewed on the ear of her bunny.

"Hmm. You can always give me their names and I'll work something out with Naruto, Sasuke and Sai," Sakura replied as she gently removed the poor bunny from the abuse of Ino's teeth.

"I'll give you the list. And I want to watch their faces when they suffer."

"That settled it then," Sakura said. "Your kaa-san is really worried about you, and I've brought lots of ice cream, chocolates and cookies. All your favorites. Could you try to eat something for us?" Sakura added quietly.

"Yeah. I'll eat. I haven't had anything for a while so all those calories shouldn't ruin my figure," Ino joked weakly.

"Good. Because we're stuffing ourselves with all of it and we're going to help your mom run the store," Sakura said as she got up from the bed. "I'll grab the food and you'll choose the movie?"

"Hmm." Ino nodded as she slowly crawled out of her cocoon. Before Sakura could exit the room, Ino called out to her. "Thank you, Sakura."

"This is what friends are for, pig."

"Forehead," Ino retorted back fondly.

5 pints of ice cream, 2 boxes of cookies and nth pieces of chocolates later, both Sakura and Ino were in sugar induced commas. With the latter swimming in so much more endorphins than she had been for the past week.

"This is a bad idea," Ino moaned as she stuffed yet another cookie into her mouth.

"I feel like I've gained 10kg," Sakura groaned as she lied down flat on the bed.

"Uh, I feel like I should join Team Gai's training session for a whole month just to lose everything I've gained today."

"Ah, you probably haven't heard, but Gai-sensei may never walk again," Sakura said soberly, as she sat back up in the bed.

"What, no way! What happened?" Ino asked, flabbergasted. Gai-sensei was one of the strongest jonin in the village. And he was posted in Kakashi-sensei's batallion. And if Gai-sensei was strong, Kakashi-sensei was straight up a monster. He was able to fight against two Akatsuki members, one an undead zombie and another, a creepy ragdoll who can split himself into what, 4 or 5 pieces of himself? While protecting both her and Chouji. And although Ino was not on Kakashi's battalion during the war, she was linked to another Yamanaka who was the sensor in his battalion. Her cousin had told her that he was glad that Kakashi was on their team because a rampaging copy-ninja carrying a massive cleaver was the most terrifying thing he had seen since the Yondaime Hokage's rampage on Kumo during the third war. So how could he let his best friend got hurt to that extent?

"Gai-sensei fought Madara and activated his eight's gate. He broke his leg kicking Madara."

"Now, that's a cool story on how you broke your leg."

"I know right?" Sakura laughed. "But I really wish that there is something we can do, to at last allow him to walk again."

"Me too. How's the team though?"

"Neji woke up for five minutes yesterday before going back to sleep. But otherwise he seemed fine. Tenten had been busy being the convoy guard for our rebuilding materials and I think Kakashi-sensei had been training with Lee."

"Hmm.. Chouji and Shika had been dropping by every day to check on me and shooing the elders." Ino mused. She would treat them to BBQ after the funeral, but she's only paying for 5 servings for Chouji. "How's your team? Any luck with Sa-su-ke-kun?" Ino asked as she wagged her eyebrow suggestively.

"I just saw Yamato-taicho this morning, and he asked me to pass you his condolences," Sakura said. "Taicho said that your dad was a good man."

"He was," Ino said as she took a deep breath. "I'll thank him tomorrow in the funeral procession if I see him." Ino said. "Well, enough of that. I want some tea on how your team is doing, especially with you and Sasuke-kun."

"Well, Taicho looked exhausted when I saw him. I think they worked him to the bone for the rebuilding effort."

"Hmm. I bet Naruto's roped in too?"

"Yep. He's surprisingly been more help than hindrance so far," Sakura commented fondly. "Oh, and before you asked about Sai," Sakura added conspiratorially. "I haven't seen a head nor tail about him. But I'll probably try to find him after the funeral. You're very welcomed to come along," Sakura said as it was her turn wagging her eyebrow at Ino.

"Maybe I'll take you up on that offer," Ino said with a giggle. "But how about Sasuke-kun?"

"I think Kakashi-sensei's roping him into something," Sakura said with a shudder, remembering the sadistic smile on Kakashi's face.

"It can't be that bad."

"Oh but Sensei caught him sneaking out of the compound."

"Do you think he'll be at the funeral tomorrow, as the fallen?"

"From the look on Kakashi-sensei's face I say that it's a pretty high probability," Sakura said with a cringe.

"You should help him then."

"Nah, whatever Sensei is doing to him, I figured it will not even be sufficient punishment for him leaving us years ago."

"Forehead?" Ino called with a surprising quietness in her voice. At Sakura's head tilt, Ino drew a deep breath. "You don't sound so.. enamoured with him any more."

Sakura sighed as she sagged back into Ino's bed. "I've started having this confusion about my feelings for him since the war ended."

"Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't there to listen to your love adventures," Ino commented idly, her exact words prompted Sakura to turn her head and groan into Ino's pillow.

"You know who I talked to about this instead?"

"Tsunade-sama? Shizune-san? Your mom? Tenten? Hinata?" Ino grew more and more puzzled as Sakura shook her head to every names Ino suggested. "Naruto?" Ino asked incredulously. While Naruto was a great friend, he was just too dense.

"It's worse than Naruto."

At Sakura's words, Ino's eyebrow furrowed. "You talked to Gai-sensei?"

"I think it's even worse than Gai-sensei," Sakura said grimly.

"Well, I'm running out of options here. I would start throwing in Ibiki-san and Anko-san just for the sake of it."

"Well, it's not that bad. It's not that he's a bad person to talk to, but it just felt so mortifying."

"Were you drunk?"

"I was completely sober," Sakura said dryly. At Ino's eyebrow cock, Sakura caved. "I somehow talked to Kakashi-sensei about my feelings for Sasuke."

Sakura shot Ino a scowl as the blonde howled in laughter. "You asked Konoha's number one most aloof bachelor for love advice?"

"We talked, and it just came up."

"So what did he say?"

"I have time to figure all this out, since Sasuke-kun's not going anywhere for a while."

"That is a surprisingly good answer."

"He's aloof and reclusive. He's not socially inept, Ino. Thats's Sai."

"I suppose he always have a knack to assure everyone that things are going to be okay," Ino replied nonchalantly to not bite into Sakura's bait.

"He does. And it's reassuring because we know that he will try his hardest to keep his promises."

"How is he though? I heard he lost his sharingan?"

"He managed to make me feel like a genin again from a taijutsu spar," Sakura replied with a pout.

"Well, it's Kakashi-sensei. The fact that he even spars with you means that he recognises your skills."

"I supposed so," Sakura said as a smile tugged on the corner of her lips. She may not be good enough now, but she could always train harder. After all, the thing she did best was playing catch-up, right? "By the way, I told your kaa-san that I would help her drag you out of bed to help in the shop. But if you're not feeling up to it, I'll grab Naruto in your stead to help?"

"I'll come. I know she's been suffering too," Ino said with a sad smile. "Besides, can't have my family business be ruined now, can we?"

At that, Sakura laughed as she exited Ino's room to give her some privacy to get ready.

A/N

1. Ino's mom's name has never been revealed, and I don't think she would come up again in my fic, so I don't think I need to create a name for her

2. She might sound a little cold from her interaction with Sakura, but I imagined Ino's mom as a sort of noble lady. The Yamanaka clan, although not as prominent as even the Akimichi (because there are 4 noble clans in Konoha: Uchiha, Hyuuga, Aburame and Akimichi) would still be an old clan along with Nara clan. So I expect the patriarch and matriarch to have a sort of noble air around them. Sooo for Ino's mom, since the Yamanaka are also florist, I imagine her to be someone gentle, but with a lot of inner strength. So she would not usually sound cold and detached, but in this circumstance, since her husband had just died and her daughter is still in a state of emotional turmoil, she have to be the strong one (cos that's also what moms do). So the 'detachment' is probably her way of coping.

3. Endorphin is a 'happy' hormone (basically an endogenous opioid/ opioid produced naturally by the body). There's some research that suggests that eating chocolates causes endorphin release because of the chemical compound found in chocolates. So, eat chocolates and stay happy! :)

4. In a lot of fics, Kakashi is often depicted as someone who's not very good with social interaction. But I think Kakashi, being a ninja, would know how to act and what to say, since acting the right way and saying the right stuff goes a long way in the shinobi world, especially when it helps you to not get killed in the job. I think he would no doubt be awkward in a setting where he is in a big crowd and is the centre of attention of said crowd. But if it's a smaller group of people, I think he would know how to position himself (especially literally positioning himself in a way where extricating himself from said situation would be easiest).

[ 365 Days of SasuHina || Day Thirty-One: On A Hill ] [ Uchiha Sasuke, Hyūga Hinata ] [ SasuHina ] [ Verse: A Light Amongst Shadows ] [ AO3 Link ]

It still shakes him to see this place.

Most of the destruction was lost on him in those final few minutes. He’d been a little preoccupied to take in the scenery, what with his using the last of his chakra on Kirin, not wanting to take his eyes off Itachi for a moment. Exhausted, terrified, and desperate, he’d hardly noticed the rubble until he his back had been pressed against it.

No escape.

...Sasuke’s not even sure why he’s come back. The stones are still scorched from Amaterasu’s obsidian flames, a brush of his fingers smudging soot. Almost nothing remains of the old Uchiha hideout. A piece of history lost to violence. But those are long-bygone days, now. He’s almost glad a testament to what was before is gone. While he grieves his clan, and their oppression...so too does Sasuke know they weren’t always blameless. They were ruthless during the Sengoku Jidai. They had to be, under Madara’s banner.

And even now, the scraps of them left have to be tough. But not in ways that require grand fortresses atop mountains.

Ironically enough, it’s raining. Lightly, just barely a misting...but he can’t help but find it...fitting. He doesn’t even bother with the hood of his traveling cloak as they breach the top of the hill.

“It’s still unbelievable...what you two did here.”

A dark eye glances to his right, where his companion stands. Her own kekkei genkai is active, looking over the ruins quietly. “This place must have been huge...and to end up like this…”

“...Itachi and I are both peerless shinobi. Even then, we were both forces to be reckoned with.” Of course, the purple, rippled iris he keeps hidden beneath his hitai ate now means he’s grown even more powerful since then. Destruction of this scale is hardly unheard of for him now. Just look what he and Naruto wrought a few months later upon Shūmatsu no Tani. Granted...both that battle and the one here were fought with the highest of stakes. But that doesn’t mean he’s not still as capable.

Hinata lets her eyes rest. “...does he know you were coming back here today?”

“No. No point.”

“Why...are we here…?”

In truth, he’s not sure. He just felt compelled to revisit it. “...closure, maybe. Guilt. I don’t know. Just felt right to come back.”

She doesn't offer a reply - there’s no need. Sometimes a person doesn’t need a reason. Just a feeling. Wordlessly, she makes her way forward, Sasuke following.

“...you said still. Still unbelievable. Have you seen this before, Hinata?”

“I have. Did I never tell you?” There’s a curious glance to her new husband. “I was part of the retrieval team that went looking for you just as you and Itachi-san began your fight. My team went along as trackers.I went with Naruto-kun and Yamato-san, and one of Kakashi-sensei’s ninken. Later we all met up here, but...you and Itachi’s body were already gone. Obito had taken you…” Her gaze turns somber, turning back ahead. “...Naruto-kun was so upset...he’d thought you killing Orochimaru would mean coming home. And when that failed te be true, then surely, after Itachi was dead...but then Akatsuki got ahold of you.”

“...and I learned the truth about my clan’s massacre.”

“From a rather jilted source.”

Sasuke doesn’t stop a humorless snort. “...you’re right...but it didn’t make it any less true. Just...weaponized. Manipulating. I still would have reacted the same had anyone else told me. I just happened to ally with the wrong person because of it.”

It’s then they end up at the threshold of what was once the floor. Nearly all of the walls have been blown apart. One can only tell due to the smoothing of the stone compared to the outside. “What...was this place, exactly?”

“All I know is that it was once a clan hideout. Pretty sure from before the formation of the hidden villages. It was huge...even had a throne.” Another snort. “I’d bet my life savings Madara was the only one to ever use it...clan head or not, he had the ego for it.”

Hinata’s lips give a small twitch.

“...well I’ll be damned.”

Speaking of, said throne sits - majorly chipped - at the rear of the ruins. A large portion of the back is missing, only part of the mural behind it still standing. “...guess it wasn’t directly impacted. Makes sense...it was inside.” Sasuke nods to it. “...that’s where Itachi was sitting when I walked in.”

“...he really did go all out…”

Flashes of his brother’s behavior flicker through Sasuke’s mind. “...he kept up the charade until the very end. I thought he’d just lost it right before he died, saying what he said...doing what he did. I wasn’t...exactly in the best frame of mind at that point, either.”

Hinata can’t help a sympathetic glance. “...no, I’d imagine not…”

It’s then Sasuke decides to just...elaborate about what happened that day. He points to where each stage of the battle took place, vaguely narrating from what he can recall. It’s been over five years, now...and yet being here makes it feel just like yesterday. And all the while, Hinata listens quietly, delving into a piece of her beloved’s past he’s avoided up until now. The recollection, she knows, can’t be easy. Itachi’s truth had to have made it hard enough...but having his brother returned to him must make living with those choices - not to mention all those years - more than difficult.

“...here.”

They come to a stop, having moved through the rubble as he spoke. Before them, a huge hunk of stone with an inlaid Uchiha crest lies, turned to one side. “...he pinned me here. I remember my back hitting the wall, looking up, seeing the crest...it really hit me that I was going to die. And then he just…”

Waiting for a moment, Hinata looks over as Sasuke’s silence stretches. “...he spared you.”

“...it was all a farce. To convince me I’d outlasted him. Killed him. All while letting himself finally succumb to illness...he freed me from my curse seal. Set everything up so that I could walk away with a clear conscience. My revenge. My body. And then Obito subverted all his work.”

“...would you have gone back to Konoha then? If Obito hadn’t found you?”

“...I don't know. It had been my plan to go back eventually. But I don’t know if I would have felt satisfied at that point. I might have needed time first. But...it doesn’t really matter. I’ll never know. And as...convoluted as my path ended up...I think it was for the best. It led to my brother’s revival. I don’t know if he could have been if things hadn’t gone the way they did. My life isn’t perfect...and there’s no taking away what I suffered. But...I’m on a better path. I have a better future ahead of me now. I have a few pieces of my family back, and a few new ones…” Sasuke turns to her, lips lifting in just a hint of a smile. “...including you.”

Hinata softens. “...you’re right. No more what-ifs. Just what-will-bes. And we’ll face them all together.”

“...I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

As though hearing their words, a few dapples of sunlight manage to filter through the clouds.

“...should we head back?”

“We should. I’m sure everyone’s wondering where we went.”

“...will we tell them?”

“We might as well. I think I’m done letting this hang over me. Over us. Time to move forward.”

“I agree.” Taking Sasuke’s hand, Hinata gently tugs him back toward the main staircase, giving the view from on the hill one last glance before they make their way down.

Behind them, the sunrays glitter over the Uchiha crest before growing, bathing the ruins in a new light.

AHHH!!! A whole month down, omggg! I'm so psyched guys - this month has just...FLOWN by! Technically I'm posting this after midnight, so a little late (like...most entries are), BUT! I didn't miss a SINGLE DAY! Let's see if I can keep it up for the rest of the year, ahaha! ANYWAY, this prompt threw me a little bit. I almost went with something FAR angstier, but...I figured this was somber enough. Poor Sasuke...coming back here isn't easy. But I think he feels a lot better for having done so. Especially since he didn't have to go alone. But yes, on that note, I really need to call it a night here pretty soon - but as always, thank you SO much for reading! One month down...eleven to go!

Yamato-san: “Happy Birthday, Yuki-san. It is true that we’ve been in your care and we owe you for a lot of things, so I chose to attend today. Please continue to get along with Momo-san.”

Mitsuki-san: “Yuki-san, Happy Birthday! I was worried that just veggies might not have enough protein, so I tried cooking with a lot of beans and seeds. I apologize if that was uncalled for! For next time, please tell me about your special vegetable menu!”

Tamaki-san: “Yukirin, hbd. You’ve taught me a lot of stuff. It’s always fun to spend time with you, Yukirin. I wanna say you don’t feel like a senior, but like not in a bad way. Let’s eat pudding together again.”

Sougo-san: “Yuki-san, I wish you a happy birthday. I’m glad to have been allowed to celebrate with you, so differently from how we did with Momo-san. It honored me to get to wear a printed T-shirt of the two of you and to be permitted at such a nostalgic location. I will treasure the memory for life. May you have a wonderful year.”

Nagi-san: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. YUKI! I look forward to seeing what forms of entertainment we can expect from you next. Also if you watch Cocona, you might become even happier.”

Riku-san: “Yuki-san, happy birthday to you!! I think it’s really great that your birthday is on Christmas Eve, because it feels like one amazing thing after another. I’m glad I got to celebrate your birthday, Yuki-san. I’ll work hard so that I can also become someone like you, who is able to convey such wonderful feelings to everyone!”

Chapter 12/??

Summit: What happens if a mysterious prisoner joins the chaotic Cell 13? He is perfect for the Nanba Prison, his name is synonym of terror and cruelty; each time he was sent to a new prison, he broke out in less than an hour. Will the Nanba Prison succeed to keep him jailed or not…?

When the night falls, the chaotic Nanba Prison finally calms down, as always, Ayu gets out from his cell to go only-god-knows where, while his friends are all sleeping, or at least, that's what he thought. After Number 33 left, Jyugo sits up on his futon and looks outside the window, thinking of what happened. It was a nice day, he played a few new games and he saw a breathtaking performance with the piano, and he learnt how to play a little melody, that it's still inside his mind repeating in loop. He was really happy that Ayu taught him that, it took him a while to learn it, but Ayu was patient and kept encouraging him to try one more time...

After a little conversation with Uno, Jyugo goes in the roof to look at the stars thinking of what curious and crazy things will happen tomorrow, but suddenly...

<<What's so funny?>> a creepy voice comes from behind, a strong grip on his shoulder and a dangerous aura is pressing his body, <<Tell it to me too, Jyugo!>>

<<W-who the hell are you?!>>

Meanwhile, Ayu goes back to the cell and greets whispering Yamato, thanking him to have spent some time with him even when it's very late. After he closed the door, he walks direct on his futon, but Uno caught him.

<<Sorry, did I wake you up?>> whispers Number 33.

<> replies Uno with a worried voice that his friend immediately notices, <<You don't make any sounds, so it's impossible for you to wake someone up.>>

<<Something wrong?>> ah, this boy is straightforward as always, <<You sound worried.>>

<<Did you see Jyugo on your way back?>> says Number 11, <<He went out but he isn't back yet.>>

<> "Strange. Usually, Jyugo is always back around this hour of the night."

<<A while; I would say almost an hour. I'm a little worried.>>

"Something is happening here..." Ayu's instincts are warning him about a danger, <<I'll look for him. Don't move from here, okay?>>

<<Got it. Be careful to not get caught.>> Uno watches his friend's back disappearing in the dark; making his anxiety grows bigger and bigger.

"...I better hurry up, something I don't like is happening."

On the roof, Jyugo is immobilized to the ground by that blonde strange man. Apparently, he knows something about the man with the scar, but Number 15 couldn't do anything to him, he... disappears and appears like he's teleporting... He doesn't even understand his tricks with the knives, he feels the pain, the blood and the blade going deeper in his flesh, but when he checks, the wounds are gone.

When something happened faster than a bolt...

In an amount of time shorter than a blink of an eye, Ayu is topping him and the blondie is gone. Moving his eyes to his side, Jyugo sees Ayu's fingers have pierced the concrete of the building... How the hell-

<<Ah, that was close.>> that voice again, <<It's been a while, Unnamed Number 33.>>

<<You should know...>> Ayu protects Jyugo from the enemy blocking his knife with two fingers, <<Illusions don't work on me, Elf.>> using the weapon, Number 33 twists Elf's arm and hits it very strongly with his knee, breaking it.

<<Ugh... Cool, you still remember what we taught you...>> the man walks backwards holding his arm, and thanks to his good reflexes, he dodges the knife that Ayu throwed precisely at him aiming on his head, <<Your aim is majestically precise as- Oh-ho, this is bad...>> he lost the inmate.

"Ayu knows him? How?" thinks Jyugo seeing the man looking around himself uncomfortably and anxiously, "What he wants from him? But, how did he find me, he was following me?"

Number 15 notices his friend standing still on one of the containers on the roof, he scratches his fingers, and thanks to the moonlight, Jyugo can clearly see Ayu's nails becoming longer and longer, even sharper... But because of his gaze, Elf could understand from where his ex-agent attack and his life is safe, since Ayu's nails scratched the wall. Those seem more like claws, not nails...

<<You know, when you burnt those prisons, a lot of our data were destroyed.>> Elf doesn't seem that scared though, <<Do you know how many problems we had due to that? Without minding, Jyugo's escape and our clients were killed, what a bad child you are, Unnamed Number 33.>>

<<Those are your last words? Very well->>

<<Oh, now I remember!>> somehow Ayu is killing his own desire to erase that man because Jyugo is there, and Elf notices it right away, <<That lovely woman was really happy to have a work, she finally could live a peaceful life with his beloved son. Her smile was killed by the terror, and her body couldn't move, only tremble in fear. Ah, what a wonderful show that was.>>

Before Jyugo could realize what's happening, Ayu and Elf are fighting each other, and the blond man is losing, the killer is too skilled, soundless and invisible, he goes near the target trying to kill it without regrets or second thoughts. The roof is slowly incised by the fight, traces of blood are painting the ground, and Elf is laughing, enjoying the match, praising the assassin to be a perfect killing machine, that was what they wanted.

In the quiet night, only the loud sounds of Ayu's kicks are audible, he keeps kicking the blond man so strongly that at each attack, a bone is broken, and finally, Elf is trapped inside Ayu's hand. Number 33 lifts him like a feather and glares at him so terrifyingly that even a monster would be scared to death by those horrific eyes.

<<Fucking die.>> the grip is stronger and stronger that the man that was invincible for Jyugo, is now beaten up, full of wounds, bruises and covered in blood, <<That fucking bastard will come with you as well, don't worry.>> that harsh and scary voice... Every time Jyugo listens to it, it sends thrills of terror down his spine.

<<Heh, aren't you forgetting something?>> the suspicious smile adverts the inmate that his friend is in danger and when he turns to check on him...

"Nothing is hurting... That blade hit me, right?" thinks Number 15 with his eyes closed, "There's no way that Ayu could move so quickly..." checking what happened to himself, he sees Elf sit on the bars of the terrace, and in the other side, Ayu is crouched with an arm pointing at him, inviting Jyugo to follow it. "W-what?" the knife he saw coming towards him a few seconds ago, now is stuck in the ground with another knife near it, "A-Ayu did this?"

<<Mh, efficacy as always.>> comments Elf calling everyone's attention towards him, <>

"They'll hunt me and the ones near me..." Jyugo thinks trembling in fear to lose his dear friends, "It's my fault if someone will be killed... I can't let it happen!" he stands up with a hand turned into a blade and walks near Ayu to support him, "I can't..."

<<Oh, you learnt to activate only a blade! Splendid!>> Elf claps his hands and stands in balance of the bar looking at the two inmates.

<> Ayu's replies shocks his cellmate, <<I'll protect everyone, will you be able to defeat the monster that you created with your own hands?>>

<<Oh-ho!>> even with all those injuries, the blond could dodge another powerful attack, <> he bends backwards and smiles amused with his teeth covered in blood, <<Be prepared, a few presents are ready, look forward to them.>>

He jumps off the building before Number 33 could hit him, the bar is destroyed while the man keeps falling. Jyugo runs to see what insanity Elf did, but he's gone... Not a sound or anything, just gone, just like how he came.

<<God fucking damnit!!>> the cellmate's scream scares him, <>

"He looks so angry... It's the first time that I see him closing his teeth so strongly..." Jyugo questions if it was his fault that Ayu failed to have his revenge, "I understood that Elf killed his mother, it's from then that he knows him? Should I say something?" he looks the surrounding and sees that the rood is marked with fight signs, the walls and the ground are marked with Ayu's nails, the bars are destroyed like if a monster bit them, "....It's a bad idea, right?"

<<Oi, you two escaped once again, fucking brats- W-what the hell happened here?>> Hajime notices all the mess and becomes serious, <<You two fought each other? What the fuck are those claw signs?>>

<<Hajime, bring me to the monitory room!>> Ayu drags the guard along while he runs down the corridors, <<The cameras must've caught him, for sure. You're not disappearing under my fucking watch, you piece of shit. I'll make you pay for what you did.>>

Since Ayu seemed monstrously upset, and Jyugo really scared, Hajime agreed to escort them to the monitory room and check the camera footages. Yamato is called too, while Seitarou gets the computers ready to show the records, but since the boy is slow minding the procedures, Ayu pushes him down from the chair and takes his place.

<<You're too fucking slow. How the fuck people work here?>> he shouts taping on the keyboard extremely rapidly, <<The most secure prison in the world my ass! I can escape easily from this shitty hole, and now, even strangers can get inside! What the fuck, c'mon!>>

<<Number 33-kun, you should calm down a little.>> comments Yamato, but the prisoner is too irritated to obey as he always does, <<Being so upset would not resolve the problem.>>

Ayu shows the tapes of the cameras on the roof, proving his fight and that another person was there, and he wasn't an inmate. Making the tape slower in the end, Ayu scans every single monitor to see and understand where Elf went, but nothing shows up.

"He used an illusion..." <<Fuck!!>> he hits his head on the table and grabs his hair hardly, almost to rip them off, <>

<<That's enough, Number 33. Get yourself together->> Hajime's shirt is grabbed in a second with the inmate right in front of his face, "His eyes are sad and furious at the same time. That's a new thing he showed."

<<You better show this shit to that fucking bitch who directs this shitty place, and make her reinforce every single building with a stricter surveillance.>> roars Ayu, but Hajime will not show that footage to anyone, the others will discover that not only Ayu, but even Jyugo can escape easily, <<As a guard you have the duty to protect everyone, right?>>

<<And so?>>

<<The lives of all the prisoners are in danger. I can protect only a bunch of them, I'm not a superhuman, I can't save the ones that I can't reach. You'll be there.>> even if the rage is still inside of him, Ayu can think rationally in every situation, he doesn't let emotions take too much control, it's amazing, <<His main target is Number 15, but before of him, he'll make something to create a monster that can fight equally with Jyugo; this is a hint, we have to find the man with the scar.>>

<<Why should I help you to get your revenge?>> Hajime too, he doesn't let emotions get better of him, and he doesn't give up in front of the propose of the killer, <<It's stupid.>>

<<You're not helping me at all; everything in this place works too slowly, you're just a bother.>> replies Number 33, <<I'm doing this because I don't want more people being involved with this issue, or being tortured for fun. I, Jyugo and Musashi are more than enough. The man with the scar will not stop with just a prisoner, he'll keep kidnapping prisoners as many as he needs to succeed. Before me, another 3332 children died to reach my level; keep that in mind. Is this a right thing for you? A man who kills and uses inmates as he wants because they're the trash of society, and though them he achieves his crazy goals, is justice for you? I just want to quit killing people and live peacefully until my last breath, but I need to kill those two first. To revenge my mom, myself, all the people died before me and the ones like Jyugo and Musashi.>>

<<........>> Yamato and Seitarou looks at their superior who is thinking hardly at that propose, in fact he didn't say a lie, this time there's a lot on the line, a single wrong step and everything is over.

<> Ayu lets the guard go and offers his hand waiting patiently that the officer takes his decision. "This time I'll protect the ones who cares for me, no matter what I must do or what form I must assume. The lives of my friends worth more than mine and than anything else."

Tsukumo Ryou: He's helping me expose Chiba Salon in order to protect your future position in the industry. To be more specific, I'm having him sell Nikaidou Yamato to me piece by piece. Momo: ......You didn't have to tell Yuki that! Tsukumo Ryou: Oh, but I just want to see you two fight. Yuki: ....... Is this true, Momo....... Momo: ......Sorry I kept quiet about this! But please understand! This is for your sake! Yuki: ...Momo.... My arm hurts. Momo: We want things to go well, right? And there are times where if you can't beat 'em, then you just gotta join 'em! I'm begging you, please don't look at me like that! Yuki: ....... Yuki: Don't touch me! *slap* Momo: Y-Yuki....... Tsukumo Ryou: Wow! This is amazing! It's a shame that I'm the only one here to witness Re:vale fight right before my eyes! What a waste. Momo: ......! Get out! Tsukumo Ryou: Aw, but it's just getting started. Momo: Shut up! Get out......! *slam* Yuki: ....... Yuki: ......Are you okay? Momo: Shh. Wait. Yuki: Huh......? Momo: --I'm so sorry! Forgive me! Please don't throw me away, Yuki! Waaah, ahh, ahh.... Momo: Waaaah, ahhh.... Yuki: Um....... Momo: This should be good. It's okay now. Yuki: When you grabbed me earlier, you whispered to me, "Hit me." Is that correct? Momo: That man's a bully, after all. I just figured he wouldn't leave until he saw some carnage. Momo: I'm really sorry about that. I made you do something so awful, even though you're a gentleman.... Yuki: I'm the one who should be apologizing. It hurt, didn't it? So what were you talking about earlier? You weren't serious about exposing Yamato-kun, were you? Momo: No way! As if I could sell off those kids. Ban-san loves them! But it is true that there's people moving to expose it. Momo: It's not gonna stop at the weekly tabloids. Apparently there's some big names in the industry that are a part of this, so I'm trying to find out who those people are. Momo: The reason why they wanna expose this scandal is because of a grudge, out of righteous anger, or for money. If I get the names of everyone involved, then it'd be possible beat him to the punch and talk them out of it. Yuki: Any guesses so far? Momo: There's a lot of people.... And one of them is a really big name in the industry. Momo: ......Who? Momo: Top actress Asamiya Tomoe-san. Shizuo-san's wife. *click* Tsukumo Ryou: Right! I just remembered something.... Yuki: --I'll fucking kill you! Momo: Forgive me! Please, please forgive me! Tsukumo Ryou: I do apologize for bothering you while you're preoccupied, but Yuki. You may be close to Hoshikage, but I'll instantly know if you squeal to him. Tsukumo Ryou: You see, I've planted a spy in Hoshikage. With that, ding-ding-ding-ding! Let round two begin. *slam* Yuki: ......There's a spy in Hoshikage? Momo: God, he pisses me off! The gong only sounds once at the beginning of a new round! It only sounds four times at the end......! Yuki: I can't believe you put up with that man.... Like I said, don't get involved with weirdos. Momo: That's my line! Shizuo-san works you to the bone! You went to wash his car and shovel snow for him before, right? Yuki: Those were just excuses for him to give me pocket money. Shizuo-san is really good at taking care of people-- Momo: What part of that is good!? It was to the point where I was just like, "If the world's beloved Chiba keeps sending Yuki off on pointless errands, then I guess I'm gonna have to destroy the world!" (1) Yuki: It's better than some overly gaudy man who's insane! Even I knew that he was dangerous from the the instant I saw him. More importantly, why didn't you tell me about this sooner? Momo: You were busy with filming and composing, so I didn't wanna bother you about this.... I was gonna tell you once I figured out who the people doing the exposing were. Yuki: ......I genuinely thought you got corrupted by him and were fully on-board with his plan. Momo: That I'd sell Yamato for your sake? Yuki: Yeah.... Because you tend to worry and brood, Momo. Momo: You wouldn't have doubted it if it were Ban-san though, right? Yuki: I guess so. Ban's really dry, and nothing holds him down. (2) Momo: ......So that's how it is, huh!! I guess I'm sopping wet then!!! (3) Yuki: ......I never said anything about that. Look. Wet wipes are more valuable for cleaning, right? Good job. Momo: Being compared to cleaning goods doesn't make me happy! Even if it's praise! I'll soak you! I'm gonna drench you with condensation! Yuki: Sorry, sorry. Momo: *sob*.... I wanna be a man befitting of fresh laundry like Ban-san....... Yuki: It's fine. It'll just freeze on Mount Everest, after all. Momo: Mount Everest? Yuki: You were the first person to make me work my hardest, Momo. Not Ban. Momo: ......? What are you talking about? Yuki: ....... It's nothing. I finished the demo. You wanna listen to it, right? Momo: You finished!? Even though you were so busy with filming!? That's incredible! I thought you were gonna need more time! Momo: This is great! I super duper can't wait to listen! I knew it, Yuki's a genius......! Yuki: Haha.... I guess so. Momo: Somebody looks happy! I bet you're proud of this one! Yuki: Now I'm proud of it.

Nikaidou Yamato: Hah....... My pulse is racing so fast my heart hurts....... Nikaidou Yamato: ......But I have to go back....... *click* Rokuya Nagi: Hello! Nikaidou Yamato: Ah....... Rokuya Nagi: ....... Nikaidou Yamato: I.... I'm home.... Rokuya Nagi: Welcome back. We've been waiting for you to return. Nikaidou Yamato: Yeah.... Ah.... What happened to the entryway? Is it me or did the security got a lot stricter while I was gone......? Rokuya Nagi: That's not of great importance. Look at me, Yamato. Nikaidou Yamato: But, like.... The windows look kinda grim too....... Rokuya Nagi: Rather than talking about the windows, why don't you talk about yourself? We'll hear all about it tonight. Right, Yamato? Nikaidou Yamato: ....... Yeah, that's what I was gonna do. Rokuya Nagi: OK. Do you know how I feel.... Rokuya Nagi: After urging you, over and over and over again to answer my question.... Nikaidou Yamato: Are you shitting me, even TRIGGER came!? No way, give me a break...! Onii-san can't do this, it's impossible......! *click* Momo・Yuki: Good evening! We're Re:vale! Nikaidou Yamato: Ahhhhhhhhhh.... *click* Izumi Iori: We have returned. Izumi Mitsuki: Sorry we're late! Nagi told me that Yamato-san's gonna tell us everything tonight.... Yaotome Gaku・Kujou Ten・Tsunashi Ryuunosuke・Momo・Yuki: Pardon the intrusion. Izumi Mitsuki: ....... Izumi Mitsuki: ......Damn, you've really steeled yourself. Are you giving a presentation or something? Nikaidou Yamato: Oh no. No. Definitely not.... Let's go to a bar, just the two of us.... How about we quietly reconcile there, yeah...? (2) begin headache: yuki uses an onomatopoeic word for crisp/dry, but it can also mean someone who doesn't get bogged down/is refreshing. casually inserts both meanings 4 emphasis/representation i guess. BUT THE MOMO PLAYS OFF OF THE "DRY" meaning and.............

(3) idk how the word 'wet' ended up as 'wetty' in Japanese but im dying this metaphor thing runs into ch 5.4 too
